: Location: Texas Panhandle ISP: Suddenlink Old ping:60-70 new ping: 127-140 Rito pls....
I'm in the same situation as you. They're trying to work with suddenlink right so we will just have to be patient. Until then you can download WTFast and use that. My ping was also 127-140 until i started using that. You can use the free version and select the TX4 server and it has dropped my ping down to around 48-60. Hope this helps :D

: It will be hard for them not to use Level 3 as that company is a major backbone ISP. Your ISP would need to find another peering partner, which I highly doubt they will be willing to do. Another option is for your ISP to try and peer with us. You can send them the link [here](http://www.riotgames.com/peering-policy) The route that you are currently being sent on isn't something that your ISP can really control either if it's being done through Level 3 as well. The only option would be to wait. :(
Then why is it that all these problems only started happenening like 2 weeks ago when a rioter said that suddenlink had done something in this thread Riot Foro (NA) - 19 days ago Azir Mid Plz (NA) - 19 days ago Amarillo, Texas, USA Suddenlink Broadband Just started the increase in ping today. Has shot up from a steady 67 to a steady 94 now? Any Idea what's going on since last night and why it changed so much? We actually turned up peering with Suddenlink yesterday evening - it appears they're doing something unorthodox with their routing. Can see your problem - reaching out to them to let them know. Ever since then the problems started? Is it that hard for them to just go back to what they were doing before that? Because if i'm going to be stuck on super high ping when i should be at less than 50 then this game is done.

: That's great. Thanks for taking the time to get that to us. Contacting your ISP wouldn't hurt either just to make sure there isn't anything weird going on their end. I did take a look into what you sent and I see that there maybe some issues with Level 3 that maybe causing this issue for you as well. When you talk to your ISP you may want to mention that as well. [Here is some info about the Level 3 I am talking about](http://internethealthreport.com/Main.aspx?Period=RH4)
And if I call them do I just need to ask them not to use level 3 or something?

What about the whole routing me to phoenix then san jose the over to chicago? Is there a easy solution to this?
Steeb (NA)
: If you haven't yet, I would submit your information to the Chicago Log Gathering site. This will help our engineers to look into this.
Yeah I already submitted the logs and everything. Is it an issue on your guys end that's causing the routing issues or is it suddenlinks fault? Would it help if I called them or not?
: Same here, Amarillo on Suddenlink, old ping 60-70 new ping 75-90
Hell I would be fine with 75 but it sitting at 125 constantly is pretty bad...

I am using Cox Communication in NE Oklahoma (Tulsa). Is there anything I can do to speed things along because I simply can't play ranked now that you've moved the servers. Before, I'd get 100-110ms but it stayed that way. Now I've got 65 ms but I'm getting decent packet loss - the game has about 1.5 second jumps at a time, every 2-3 minutes. heyo, For packet loss, if you're still seeing it and you've already provided logs to our tools for data gathering, a temporary VPN (Virtual Personal Network) may be the best way to alleviate that problem in the short term. Until Cox peering is up and calibrated properly, you may still see packet loss until then. It could also only last for the rest of today while we make adjustments, it's an unknown to be honest. Calling your ISP about it could also be a great way to get them working on it faster as well.
Steeb (NA)
: well, that's awkward -_- But that will not be big issue. The data we are getting is already enough from the other trace routes.
Any Idea why it's routing me to san jose then chicago? Has majorly increased my ping from Texas with suddnlink btw.

Any idea what's going on with suddenlink? I live in Amarillo, Texas and I used to have 67 ping to portland, now it's 122 to the new servers. I know it shouldn't be nowhere near that high??????
: We're partnered with AT&T, the slowdown is associated with installing hardware currently.
You guys said you partnered with suddenlink? Why has my ping gone up since then?

If you guys have peered with suddenlink, why has my ping only gotten worse?
: So, we will have to optimize some routing when we turn on the Chicago game servers. SO the result you get from that test today might not be your real ping.
When I do that test, it routes to through California first then over to Chicago when I live in Texas? Any idea why?
: My ping has been consistently higher in NA lately, what’s going on?
So have you guys abandoned this thread? Still having issues with suddenlink. Ping used to be 67 then it went to constant 94 then you guys said they fixed the issue and now mines a constant 100? What's going on?
: My ping has been consistently higher in NA lately, what’s going on?
Suddenlink still hasn't been fixed for me. Live in the northwest part of texas. Ping is still 30 more than it used to be. Help plz.
: Suddenlink was fixed for me and my ping is lower than my previous average before this recent peering hiccup. Good shiet.
Where are you located? How much did your ping change?

Good shiet. Glad it helped - Suddenlink in the south came online late last night, and it appears it had the desired effect instantly.
Hey just wanted to let you know that suddenlink still isn't fixed for me yet. Used to be a constant 66 ping and it's staying at 92. I know you said it came online but it hasn't fixed anything for me yet? Any suggestions?
: Could you reply back with your location and ISP? We should be able to take a deeper look into this.
Hey just wondering if you have heard anything on suddenlink? I've had a problem with them for about the last week that you guys said you would check into haven't heard anything back yet. There's something wrong with the routing.
: My ping has been consistently higher in NA lately, what’s going on?
Any update on suddenlink yet? Still having horrible routing issues with them? Please respond
