: >_< I misread that part. Sorry for the confusion on my part. That number isn't always constant, it just seems to be a reasonable mark. Riot has neither confirmed nor denied that number. We have had people(or 1 known person) go from honor 0 back to honor 1 checkpoint 2 within 5 days. That doesn't mean he dropped a tier, but that would show something to Riot. Out of curiosity, when you queued with friends, was it full groups, mostly full, or just 1 other? I ask because that could potentially work against you. This is unconfirmed, but even if you played 300 games in a full 5 man, that may not show reform as you are purely with friends.

I typically played with 2 other people (ranked higher than me if that matters). Sometimes I would queue with only one other friend, but I would say 75% of the time it was as a 3 man.
: So, it is possible to go back down steps in the punishment tiers. There is no magic number or answer of the process though. We like to estimate about 3 months with 2 or 3 games a day. This would be displaying positive interaction "gj" "gg" "(insert tactical call)" or neutral interaction "(insert cricket noise for no talking)" I mention both months and games to give the idea of roughly 300 games. The number of months doesn't matter. So taking information from OP; you got punished, took a break, and have been playing again for 2 months. So one way to look at it is you had the punishment and then paused the game. Nothing happened to your account/game during that pause time. Sorry.

Slight correction: I got punished, changed my behavior and kept playing for a few months, took a long break, then came back for a few more months and got perma banned. I know its a small difference but its not like I just took a break for a long time and expected my status to change. After my warnings I played, took a break, and played some more. But you mentioned 300 games which I definitely did not play so I didn't meet the criteria to lower myself a punishment tier. In my opinion that's a lot of games, but I guess Riot's image of a standard player is 2-3 games daily (I was closer to like 8-10 games a week). The break probably also hurt my chances of lowering my tier. Thanks for your response, this is the kind of conversation I wanted to have with this post.
: Trying to reform for a broken system that protects trolls and bans real players for retaliating is a complete waste of time. Just flame all you want at the bitches who destroy your game, then make a new account right after.

Just flame all you want at the bitches who destroy your game, then make a new account right after. Definitely not my style. I learned to mute and autopilot through the match. If it's still a salvageable game, I would always mute the problem player and play with the rest of my teammates who were willing to play. I slipped up on the instant muting and got permabanned, that's what this thread is about.
: >"I heeded the warnings and changed my behavior for a few months afterward" >"After a long period of showing reformed behavior" I think the issue is not that your account is "on think ice forever" more that a few months *really isn't THAT long*. I'm sorry to hear that you were trying to reform and ended up getting banned over one incident, but you were given multiple warnings as you said, and even so relapsed into that behavior. You could always make a new account and try to start fresh and keep up the good behavior, but there is no way Riot is giving your account back. :(

My perception of having provided enough evidence that my behavior has changed is probably different than Riot's. I contacted support and they said there's no way, under the current rules made by the devs, that Player Support can unban an account after receiving a perma for behavioral misconduct, so rip my account. I will probably be done playing League having lost everything valuable on my account. I just wanted to start a discussion for cases like mine.
: Yeah sure, but you cant just NOT PLAY and call that "improved behavior" lol. You have to display improved behavior for a while. I guess your 4 months or so of improved behavior wasnt enough. Meh.

You have to display improved behavior for a while. I guess your 4 months or so of improved behavior wasnt enough. Meh. That was my thought as well. Maybe the amount that I played wasn't enough to show that I was working to fix my bad habits. I certainly didn't expect to have my record improved after not playing, I just thought I provided enough evidence of improved behavior. I hope I am remembering correctly the amount of time I put in after deciding to not be a dick anymore. It feels like it should have been enough.
