: This is quite possibly the most retarded post iv'e ever seen. I hate TSM. I bleed blue and black.(CLG) but pretending like TSM is not the greatest org in NA is unbelievable and takes away from Clutch gaming's monumental victory. They have dominated our region for years. Nobody even comes close to being next to them. They were the 3 time consecutive champions. Also they are mentioned in the paragraph because....6 teams played....all were mentioned. SMFH at this whole dumb ass bronzo post.
Are you for real? This is supposed to be about next weeks playoffs and tsm is out yet constantly mentioned. And they are constantly the main topic of nearly every lcs production. And everything they do gets colored as better and more important then everyone else. I understand why they get that focus but now that their season is done it just does the lcs a discredit to still hear about how people are lucky they didn’t have to play them.
: 6 thoughts going into Semifinals -- "The winner of this split will become the… 4th franchise to win a championship? By god, that’s Team Liquid’s music. "
Guys I get that tsm won lots of banners in the past. Can you riot people, casters, bloggers and whoever else please stop pretending week after week that tsm is the greatest of all time no matter what year and who their lineup is? It’s over now, tsm looked bad when it counted, and they were bad about 6 other weeks this split as well. Echo fox fans should not be relieved they are playing team liquid instead of tsm, quit acting like tsm is great Regardless of the Results of games. And tsm is out of the playoffs, gone, yet they still got mentioned in almost every paragraph in this write up. And clutch beating tsm wasn’t some dramatic upset, tsm didn’t even lock in the last spot in the playoffs til the last weekend. The only reason it’s considered such a huge upset is that you guys all completely buy into the hype constantly.

: I feel bad about actual swain mains
dude, he was pretty much just a troll champ anyway. I agree that they deleted him effectively, but they did the same thing to urgot and sion. Anyone who liked his kit had to like it for toxic reasons imo, he had infinite sustain, very little skill, and was just a pain to play against.

: Warning: frank discussion incoming. One of the things we haven't talked about a lot with you guys, but which should come as no surprise, is that Riot does make revenue on runes, which we ultimately invest back into League to make the game better. This is indirect revenue, because it comes from players purchasing champions with RP since they don't have available IP to get those champions, since some of that IP goes towards runes. Freeing up rune IP (in the absence of any other changes) would let players buy a bunch of champions and spend less RP overall. Now we *are* making some other changes to the system, but overall, Riot is losing money on this deal. Potentially a lot of money. This was something we had to talk about a lot internally, but everyone was ultimately behind the decision, all the way to Tryndamere and Ryze. I don't want to make too big of a deal out of this, but if we seem cautious with some of our decisions here, this is part of the reason why. (Another big one obviously is that we are taking a gamble by overhauling such a core part of the game for something that we believe will be better.) We are making the new runes free because we believe 1) That it's the right thing to do for League and for League players, and 2) Our business model has always been to make a fun game that players want to keep coming back to year after year. Runes Reforged is a long-term bet on League of Legends (and Riot for that matter). If we thought that Rune Pages made no sense with the new design and risked feeling like a cash grab, we would absolutely just kill them as a feature. But we have found they are useful with Runes Reforged, just less mandatory than they were before. Definitely open to discussion on this topic however.
I think your response here is very straightforward and I appreciate that, I also believe that extra rune pages would still be useful in the new system. Here is my criticism- I own something like 20 rune pages, and that was because I wanted to have a rune page for every champ I might play in ranked without any compromise. One of the reasons why having that many rune pages was legit was because its optimal for many champs to used different runes based on matchups, particularly mid or top laners needing different runes for ap or ad opponents. In this new system, I believe I will still want new rune pages, but I doubt there will be use for as many as I, and I'm sure many other players who started at beta, have bought. I would expect there to be severely diminished value after 10 or so. Perhaps there would be a good compromise here to refund rune pages over a certain number, due to the system change, and then people can choose to buy them again if they still find them useful, or they could spend it on whatever other new rewards come out? A flaw in your argument is that (I would almost guarantee) the people who are IP flooded because they have all the champs and runes are the same people who have the 20 plus rune pages, and thus refunding rune pages over a certain threshold shouldn't actually have a substantial effect on revenue, since those players aren't buying champs with RP anymore.
