: As much as I tire of the whole "Kai Sa is sexualized!" "No she isn't, and if she is, who cares??" argument, I don't understand the comparison to hijabs when people ask for female characters to be bit more covered up. You don't have to go from one extreme to another, and I believe people aren't asking female characters to be extremely covered up, like in a hijab, just covered up to a more reasonable extent. But meh, my 2 cents, I'm obviously more biased towards one side since I don't really care about the visual (or more sexual appeal that is) appeal to women.

My primary concern is with Riot being so scared of being accused of sexualizing women that you will start to see champions that are not representative of creative freedom but of political/ideological concerns. Generally speaking if you walk into the world you will find women who do not cover anything and women who do. Champions should vary in their choices of clothing as well, some covered, some not. But the idea that a neckline constituted an oversexualized champion is ridiculous. Literally all of Kai'Sa is covered except for her head and neckline.

My religion has longed struggled with people imposing their own beliefs about how women should display their bodies. This is about individual choice and freedom.

Yes they are not required to disclose but I think the policy is shit as it prevents the player from responding.

: If the police conduct an extensive investigation of an attempted terrorist attack, then arrest 3 people, all you will hear from them is “we arrested # people for planning a terrorist attack”. They do not say “we found them by this that and the other method” because it has the potential to compromise other ongoing or future investigations. A similar reasoning is in play here. You do not have to trust them, but you should - why would a company with 60 million or more players have any reason to ban a random one?

If worse comes to worse I will just pay the JAMS fee and come up with an argument as a matter of principle. My wife and I worked our tails off to both get to Gold this season. I Re-read the Terms of Use and did some research on Westlaw (I personally think this whole virtual property thing is nuts). I will just exhaust whatever support appeals exist and then move forward from there.

Thank you, I figured out I used my old E-Mail for the account and saw the E-Mail. I made a more recent post and a ticket explaining what went on. This whole thing has been a fear of mine because of my constant travel for quite some time. I made a post several years ago expressing my fear of this current situation. I am thinking about avoiding ranked in the future because of this. The very nature of my life requires I travel between countries and states on a regular basis and I play on my laptop. I think if I was not playing ranked this would never have been an issue in the first place but the fact that I finally hit Gold just triggered it.

: {{champion:13}} there play him. If you get good and consistant with him you'll be able to rank up. Since he's current sitting below 40% winrate he is so underpowered you'll have to increase your skills to win. FYI : No champion is meant for all roles. Thresh used to be able to, then they nerfed Attackspeed built on him.
I mean individually for each lane/role meaning what is a good consistent pick for each. I will take a look a Ryze though.

: Shen actually hits really hard. His shielding is conditional on properly timing your abilities, which I personally really like. Give him a shot in the JG. He'll shred through single target camps faster than any other Jungler, I think. His clear suffers until you get cinderhulk, but avoiding raptors helps protect you a bit. Start Q, W second in the JG (blocks monster attacks), then Q again or E if you plan to gank.
I mean right now I have just been WW Jungling as I can Gank often and quickly. I've basically carried most of my Bronze wins this season by pummeling every lane into submission. I am almost into Silver again. (I'm a nub). Do you think Shen will be good considering his speed is nowhere near that of WW?
: Lethality(Armor Pen) builds are T1 right now. So you should probs play Jhin.
Never! Jhin is an abomination. (Thinking of that I should ban him every game just so i don't see him)

: It's assasin meta, so not best time to play tanks right now
I noticed the DMG is insane. I have just been playing WW and Yorick instead because I can either gank the shit out of every lane or win top hoping the rest of the map is OK. (I assume nobody knows how to fight Yorick because I typically win lane and have no idea what I am doing)

Bro, maybe you should learn to play the new kit? Shen may no longer be a mountain hes but hes now shield for his entire team. I have saved so many team fight's with my E-W combo.

Completely agree I find myself visually hitting targets with my E but taunt does not activate! At first I thought it was a bug or something but i guess this is the problem.

: So, from what I gather... You either don't know the definition of masochism or you misinterpreted what I wrote. In either case, I mean the opposite of what you're deriving. I don't receive pleasure from the sorrow of others, but I am disgusted that someone could possible be weak enough to let a few sentences bring them to a severe level of anguish. You're also assuming I don't have experience with trauma. My mother died in a car accident when I was 12, and I've received comments from people that wish death upon my family, mother, etc. The difference between me and the poster of this thread is that I'm not a pussy. Who cares what my teammate said? I have to deal with them for 60 minutes at most. Even so, I can mute them at any time. Anything they say is just a collection of letters. Those letters only have the connotation you give them. If someone hands you a gun, it's your choice to shoot yourself. You're also implying that being insensitive is inherently bad. If you wish to have a valid argument, please come at it with a logical mindset rather than a clouded emotional one. Sensitivity and insensitivity are neither inherently good or bad. But, from a logical standpoint, emotional sensitivity has many more cons than pros. Sure, you'll be happy sometimes. But, how often do you hear people making a point to announce how positive their mindset is? Not often, because we expect the emotion of "happiness" to be our neutral resting point. You'll hear people complaining about negative emotions a lot more often. It is almost always more advantageous to be indifferent in all cases. (P.S., you can't argue that I'm "wrong" about this purely because you don't like the idea of indifference. Use some logic and reason if you want your viewpoint to be respected) The fact that you think OP came to the boards just to garner attention to make sure Riot banned this person makes me dislike this thread even more. Just because OP felt the need to complain on the boards and get a few upvotes doesn't change what the person said, so it shouldn't change their punishment. It's Riot's game, so it's at their discretion on whether or not to ban him. Not yours. Now, the reason I wouldn't have reported him is because I have no personal aversion to in-game trash talk and name-calling. It doesn't ruin my game experience. However, this doesn't mean he shouldn't be banned. He agreed to the ToS and created a negative game experience for *some* players. Therefore, it is in their right to report him and in Riot's to ban him. And again, it's your choice to be an emotionally fueled being. Good for you. I'd rather not have extra forces compelling me in a direction I might not agree with. I prefer to look at everything without a bias, in order to create my own opinion that I can be assured is logically sound. Tl;dr: Before you try to argue, make sure you actually have a basis to argue on. A good argument isn't completely reliant on your feelings. Bring some facts and logic to the table if you want to be taken seriously.
Hi AzukAnonymous, I appreciate your feedback and wanted to clear up several assumptions you are making about my post, emotional response to the negative player, and who I am as a person. I'm sorry to hear about your mother, I understand the pain of losing a parent at a young age and that must have been difficult. I'm breaking this reply into sections to avoid a convoluted post. 1. Why I started this thread: I did not make this post to garner attention or make sure riot banned this person I created it to express the emotional discomfort I felt at this players comments. Neither did I make this post to get up-votes this is my first post on the boards and I did not know that up-voting existed until after the post was created. 2. Emotional Discomfort: When the player made his comments I did not break into tears or fall into a deep depression. I experienced a brief moment of discomfort which resulted in remembering the fate of my grandfather and disappointment that another human being would wish that upon another over a virtual sport / game. 3. Concern for you: Reading your post I can tell you are somebody who avoids their emotional responses and most likely buries their feelings. This is a good coping mechanism in harsh times but I don't recommend making it a life long habit. The thing about human beings is that our emotions are part of us. We are not machines that can turn a switch on and off when we want to feel. You are obviously somebody who thinks things through thoroughly and appreciates logic and the scientific method. Because of this I recommend taking some time to read about human psychology and it's findings that human beings are often not in control of their emotions. You will see that it is impossible to avoid bias or approach everything through logic. In regards to avoiding bias please take a moment to examine your views on emotions. You are somebody who has experienced a great deal of pain from what you have described. Maybe you are simply somebody who has been hardened by life and have developed certain perceptions of emotions which give you a bias about how people react and experience them. I'm going to ask that you have an internal discussion about this i'm not talking about some new age mumbo jumbo approach it however you like. Have a good weekend!

: Thanks, Report the player, and yes Certain things on the internet have given me major depression and thoughts of suicide before which is why I take this type of toxic behavior seriously, and yes it does effect me when I see the hard toxicity in games. I actually came close to hurting those I love and actually came close to ending it, so I have to say yes what players say to others online can do real hurt with these type of comments.
Thanks for sharing your story Ada Wong. I think the issue comes down to a lack of empathy one feels online. All to many times people forget that living breathing human beings with emotions and lives are on the other side of the screen. I'm glad you are doing better and best of luck battling your depression, I understand that can be a difficult battle.

Hello "WookieJesuz", First, I only selected the "Player Behavior & Moderation" section so I am not quite sure what you are talking about. Second, I am honestly concerned about your mindset. Human beings emotions are not something to be tossed aside. Now I wrote this post with the mindset of talking about emotional discomfort i felt playing the game. I did not write this post to find solace. Telling somebody to go kill themselves is not a "little insult". I spent the majority of my life in one of the most violent cities in the country and that had led me to have a thick skin. I know violent criminals who I grew up with who would think the insult mentioned in the post was excessive. Please, have some empathy, soften up a bit, and have a wonderful thanksgiving! Thanks for your honest feedback.
