: Currently it has massive balance problems, and certain champs feel weaker than minions of their tier. Zed, feels almost unusable weak, as he can be blocked by a lot of 1 or 2 cost units. Early game units dont feel strong enough to threaten the 20 hp of a nexus, especially with defensive units being able to attack and defend every turn. 20 nexus health is really hard to down in the first 3 or 4 turns, but by turn 5 or 6 its almost impossible to defend. Champs lika katarina, hecarim, zed and such have some amazing and cool mechanics, but they just dont feel important because they just enable champs like fiora, but also cost to much to defend vs champs like teemo. Playing hecarim or zed vs fiora or higher cost units is just asking for a judgement. There are several save unit spells, and a few poke spells, but the spells overall seem to be stronger than units(Not to mention spell mana) Poppy Dawn and Dusk feels absolutely amazing on a strong unit. Poppy Shen's ultimate is pretty sweet, but mystic shot and cards of that tier feel terrible to play. With how targeted spells work, karma feels lack luster, she only seems to be good with aoe spells or buff cards. Getting to 10 mana with feels impossible, even with stalling. Unless someone runs something very very weak and trolly.(Fiora everywhere because she has very very very little counterplay especially with ionia/judgement/"Start your attack"/barrier etc) teemo was really fun with the Kinkou wayfinder, but even with 300 shrooms in someones deck you would still lose before they drew a card half the time. Elusive units removed him, challenge (on fiora btw) removed him etc. --- The game looked really fun, but disguised toast proved that fiora wasnt beatable in this beta, and running fun decks didnt work unless the other people ran fun decks. She who Wanders was kind of ridiculous. A lot of 1 or 2 cost units ended up stronger than 3 to 6 cost units. That on Ionian that gained power from shields for example. --- For mechanics the spell mana was a good idea allowing people to avoid bursting early and saving mana for burstier later plays, but this means the first 3 turns mean almost nothing for half the decks in the game. A lot of 2 cost non spell cards were unusable because of this. 3 cost cards were even worse. They were not strong, and they were not cost efficient. The "permanent vigilance" that cards had left a very sad feeling of being stat checked with no way around, (fiora abused this hard). This made zed feel kinda weak since he cost 3 for 3 and 2(seems he was balanced around the shadow making him a 6/4) but just block zed with your 2/1 and eat the shadow to the face and bam you trade 1 mana for 3. Maybe just mystic shot the zed. Kats mana cost INCREASE when she went to your hand seemed kind of bad. Plus recall seems to reset stats, so you cant buff her or anything for it to stay, but she does enable multiattack so it kind of makes sense, if someone like Fiora didnt just completely counter everything that involved units. -- I honestly tried to make yasuo work, but frost bite just seemed stronger than actually removing the units via damage or stuns. The unit limit made champs like zed feel really terrible to play. With zeds passive and dawn and dusk you harshly over capped units frequently. Meanwhile champs like hecarim got to abuse this, swinging with just hecarim lead to 2 shadow horses and 3 sharks, resulting in 6 attackers with up to 6(if hec survived) units left in the back row to defend next turn(until fiora with judgement 1 turns you). --- The power seemed to be Demacia>shadow Isles/freljord>ionia>bandlecity>noxus. With Demacia being hands and feet above everyone else in terms of power. Shadow isles was stronger early compared to Freljord, as frost bite doesnt bother units that suddenly appear when attacking, and units that die instantly after battle dont care if they have 0 power as long as they defended, however the 12 cost and 9 cost freljord cards(plus mana ramp) lead to a massive amount of power late game. Ionia seemed like the "support" deck that just offered assistance to other decks, and was completely powered by the other decks outside of its elusive wombo combos, it really didnt do much of anything. Bandlecity felt kind of weak overall. Jinx rockets were nice, but having 0 cards in hand vs someone with 8 because they just frosted your team felt bad. Then again it feels like bandle city is more burn oriented, but without enough actual power to successfully burn someone who has either healing, lifestealing, or something as sad as an early game unit that has 2 power and a "draw one card" last breath passive is massively unfair, mystic shot for 2 mana, then they swing for 2 damage at 0 mana cost, you lose a card they dont etc. Felt to weak. Teemo had about 80 counters and didnt feel like he could really last vs anyone even a remotely decent deck. _ Attack vs defense. With turns being swapped back and forth before attacks from turn 1 on, it really felt balanced, some decks however, worked better on defense and others on offense from turn one. Not being able to choose, or know before hand did gimp a lot of decks. It also lead to the cheesy teemo strats being instanly shut down when lvl 1 you drop teemo then eat something like katarinas dagger instantly, or a defender with elusive before you could swing. It also punished making an army before the attack(and champs like katarina resetting the attack phase). Its obviously intended, but it makes things like Fiora unbeatable because only BURST spells can "surprise" an enemy. So the enemy with ramp/deny/more burst does better. Making ionia(with its massive amount of burst and counters) the best support magic you could drop. Made mystic shot feel really really terrible. -- Champion balance lol, Draven.... Zed..... and vlad were all hilariously weak. Draven seemed to only enable jinx Zed did what he does in league tho, he doesnt split push well(aka hit nexus directly), he doesn't duel well(aka defend or assault through another unit), and he doesn't assassinate well(he doesn't have challenge just quick attack). Spot on design for that. And he has the same counterplay as in live, just have more than 1 unit. He had the ABILITY to do well, because of his stat multiplying, but a lot of units did that including hecarim. He even has dawn and dusk in his card pool invalidating him as a option, wouldn't you rather have 2 ethereal hecarims charging at you with 4 shadow horses and the real hec to defend? 3 dawn and dusked fioras looking to "duel" etc. -- That was the bad things with the game, but those are mostly just balance tweaks that can be fixed pre launch. One of the coolest aspects of the game was how well the lore and the champions fit with the real league. Braum was tanky, with zero damage, and a mighty wall and poro lover. Fiora was a grand duelist with the challenge, and equal stats for a balance of defense and offense. Heimer, made a TON of easily removable, but highly obnoxious FREE defenders and attackers without ever having to attack on his own. Zed, made tons of shadows unlike in live version(zed in league doesnt even fit his own lore /cry) that actually functioned the same as a real zed(temporarily that is) and was very slippery (if you had zed on the field and 1 in your hand that is). Shen was pretty great, defending allies, being a tanky duelist, and having plenty of supportive capability. Letting him hit the nexus for free (split pushing) was a terrible idea, letting the other split pusher hit the nexus for free was also a bad idea, plus shens support move, also made it just as obnoxious to try to stop them barrier op. Yasuo did the whole push R thing, and the come out of nowhere(quick attack) to kill you. However, he really should be changed, there arent enough cards to enable him, and he doesnt have any cc of his own(outside of steel tempest if you have 2 of them). He lacks his windwall and tanky shield, and doesnt bring much to the table in terms of raw damage, tank stats or utility. Damaging a recaller or stunned unit is nice and had a cool graphic for it, however, he just didnt seem to be worth taking over any of the others with spot removal being so high anyway. Thresh, spot on design. Challenger grips, lantern in the real carry, etc very well designed. --- Overall the game was really fun trying new decks and trying to make things like 6 shadow zed assasination, super shadow isle ghost stampeed, or the super obnoxious teemo shroom spam decks :D {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}} But the blatanat balance problems of the beta, if they make it to live, will make it unplayable. This THING {{sticker:fiora-cool}} removes all the fun of the game right now. Unless the enemy is oom, and you have SPOT removal AND a win on the same turn, you cannot play your deck against a competent Demacian fiora deck. My favorite deck is still the ionian wayfinder 3 teemos deck. Its inefficient, bad, and easily counterable, and even when it works its based off rng, BUT, its super funny and feels good to win with. But the best deck is fiora hands down.

I still havent really had problems with teemo decks since i just kill the units before i die to shrooms but yeah A lot of the stuff definitely needs hard balancing before becoming live next year. Ive really been enjoying my vlad/shen nexus burn deck since its fun to sike people with a blocked minion only to kill it with vlad for nexus damage lol.

The goal is to spam poros which are cheap for the most part and you keep buffing them with Poro Snax or cards which are buffing units on field or in hand. Regions i used are Freljord and Ionia. Indeed, I think they really just need to remove challenger off her and up the number of minion kills and she'll be fine.

The full game release will be later in 2020, so there is plenty of time to re-balance and I am certain that will happen. Oh for sure, mostly I'm just salty at all the fiora decks lol. I've been having a ton of fun with it overall, been doing great using my vlad/shen nexus burst deck

Those are some of my favorites and I really miss not having them around as often any more. To be honest I even miss dominion, since it was just fun to experiment random builds on champions that would work out surprisingly well half the time.

You're not wrong, the last ascension was sometime in late 2016 early 2017 I think. and hexakill even longer.

Fair enough, Its not that I don't understand all of it takes work but my problem is that we went from having these modes enough to make up for the spot dominion left to just having nothing again 99% of the time. I personally was fine with things like poro king being one of the more common ones but I guess i was one of the minority there haha.

damn, not sure how you get s on aram easy lol, Ive had games where ive gone like 15/3 and gotten pentakills in the match and only gotten an a+ on it. also thanks for the note on the low res sr, definitely worth a try since I would love to play it xD
: I know the pains of having a bad computer. While you can get a chest on ARAM by getting an S, it is pretty difficult to do. I'm pretty sure you can also do it by getting an S in a rotating gamemode. Also, if somebody in your premade gets an S you should get the chest for the champ you were playing as well.

: Of course the Howling Abyss is different, that mode has a lot of deaths in it per minute because that's the point of the mode: to run down mid lane and kill each other repeatedly. Also its based on champions as well and Xerath is a pretty dominate force in that mode so yeah he requires super high kdas and cs/minute to get that S rank and either way you don't get tokens from HA in the first place

Technically he breaks billions of worlds a game. His Q throws entire galaxies so think of how many planets are in each galaxy then think of how many sol q's you see in one game. World Breaker Sol is pretty accurate already.

They give only small amounts and only one time per person, The one time I did it they gave me 80 rp to get a skin (I can't remember what one it was right now since it was back in s2 when I used mine xD).
