Um, the world has turned introverted, at least North America has. : While TFT lures fans of the game type into LoL, I must say that's it's quite obvious when you're playing against a newcomer who enjoys TFT more than LoL. As their decisions often don't make any sense for their champion, and their builds are like their TFT builds. Also the way they position their champion or choose their champion prior to a match startup. It definitely is affecting Ranked Summoner's Rift Draft Pick, and the players joining there are choosing terrible Champion picks to a point it's obvious they are playing with no idea what actual Rift LoL is like, competitive efforts wise. LoL has always had some bugs since it launched, and can be frustrating even for someone who knows what to do.

The article past 2017 is 100% speculative, and I'd even argue poor data. They measured things like reddit subscribers, but Riot has pushed people off other communication mediums to reddit. They mention worlds viewers, but Riot has been bribing people to play worlds in the background for rewards since post 2017 metrics. So they say the population has "likely grown a lot" based on these numbers despite google search trend dropping which they attributed to discord as it happened to "some other games"? Not exactly scientific. On top of that, with the growth of fan sites and push from Riot via their API on not just guide sites, but apps like blitz, mobailytics, and various analytic sites, those would if anything, hold it up/boost it. Instead, they dropped, a lot. Yet their justification is "well others did too, so lets focus on the other numbers" This article is RIDICULOUS! To top off the complete utter lack of anything scientific or math based, it ends with "now buy some smurf accounts from us" This is your source? lol.

: Firstly because dodging is among the worst things you can do. If somebody does something you feel is dodge worthy; mute them, play the match, and report them after. Doesn't matter what it is they did. You are worse for dodging than they'll ever be for wanting to try something you didn't like. Secondly because if people want to try nonstandard things they should have every ability to do so. Riot should never do anything that in any way pushes a meta or playstyle on anyone. That doesn't mean everything needs to work, but it does mean everything needs to be allowed. On that token, not only should they do nothing like what your asking for, but those early game jungle items (Hunters machete and that other one) shouldn't need smite to be built.

I don't think you understand how the game works. If you don't bring smite you won't get JG items, which you seem to have figured out. However, Jungle monster experience gain is directly linked to these items which you don't seem to realize. You literally can't level up in the JG without these items, a few minutes in and the JG monsters will actually start destroying you due to you being much lower level than them. That said, no matter what you want to "try" you have to do it with Smite, that's just a fact.

Practice bush weaving, and aggro positioning for top lane. That means take control of the brush on the edge to drop aggro from minions, and learn what you can and can't do from various positions around the minions that will cause them to, or not to target you. Minion damage control is really important in the top lane. On top of that, use this knowledge to position where the enemy WILL pick up aggro if they poke you, and won't have brush control to drop it. This is the only way to really work on taking your lane to the next level tbh. Anything else is generic advice, or go back to JG/Support. As I'm sure you know, there's freezing, pushing etc. etc. but if you really want to take control, do it in the middle of the lane around the brush areas.

This would be a huge QOL. Korean seems an odd one. You should have probably done a bit of digging before making this post. North Amrerica languages are as follows. 1. American (jk, though you wouldn't know from these responses) (Or as the French Canadians would call it "Anglo") 1. English 317M 2. Spanish 121M Distant 3. French 16.4M Very distant 4. Chinese 2.8M and this is mixed between Mandarin, Hakka, Yue, Wu, Min Dong, and other varieties. 5. Tagalog 2M 6. Vietnamese 1.5M 7. German 1.4M 8. Arabic 1.3M 9. Koean 1.2M 10. Italian 709K Then there's the 10 most spoken Indigenous languages in North America: Nahuatl (Mexico) — 2 million speakers Mayan languages (Mexico) — 1.5 million speakers Zapotec (Mexico) — 400,000 speakers Mixtec (Mexico) — 400,000 speakers Mazahua (Mexico) — 350,000 speakers Totonac (Mexico) — 250,000 speakers Otomi (Mexico) — 250,000 speakers Mazatec (Mexico) — 175,000 speakers Navajo (Southwestern U.S.) — 150,000 speakers Tlapanec (Mexico) — 120,000 speakers The most spoken indigenous language in Canada is Cree, with 80,000 speakers. For those curious: Nahuatl is a Uto-Aztecan language of Mexico. Though Classical Nahuatl--the extinct ancient language used by the Aztec Empire and recorded in mysterious glyphs--is the best-known form of the language to outsiders, modern Nahuatl is still very much a living language, with a dozen dialects spoken by more than two million indigenous Mexicans. [Source](http://www.native-languages.org/nahuatl.htm#language) --- So the ones it makes a TON of sense to add are Spanish, and French. If you want a publicity stunt, throw in Nahuatl or Navajo. The rest don't make a lot of sense tbh. Spanish and French are also the major ones where there are communities large enough that there are a lot of members that DONT speak English. Certain areas of Quebec have few EN speakers for example. For people that expressed "file size" concerns, tons of games patch based on language selected, so will only download languages on demand.

Dodge loss for promos isn't that big a deal unless it's your final goal, like gold 4 for rewards or something. Your MMR won't move so you'll land just as close to promos as you were before, and go in with a free win on next promo. Basically, it'll overall have almost 0 impact on actually getting promoted unless it's your final game, still need to win the same %. That said, the promo system is still trash.

Which anyone can do. And then from there, that 50-70% win rate has other factors. And items may well be the current final factor, which I think is intended. So maybe items inhibit you when you're at higher win rates, but that's more manageable than making them a dominant force in the early game, too. Which is why not everyone is getting items, or as many. The problem with that is once you get a lot of people within x% of eachothers skill (and x is a large number as it increases the more RNG there is) the less balance and less control you have over play. Think of it this way. People talk about who is the best player in a region, or in the world in league and it's a small group of people. But with this much RNG it's impossible to tell the top 10% apart. So once you get to E-Sports (which Riot wants) for example, you don't have the best vs the best, you just have a random pool of the top 10% of players all praying they get the better RNG as they're otherwise pretty equal all things considered. Basically, it comes down to two things. Knowledge (not a lot is needed in TFT, maybe a month of going at it hard learning) and ability to scout all your opponents fast enough. That may take a bit longer and is in no way fun (IMO). Since there's no direct control, anyone that masters scouting (again IMO amounts to running around like a headless chicken, but to each their own) will all be equal. The number of people that will be capable of this is limited, but it's fair to say at least the top 10% will all be able to. The only thing left at that point is RNG of which there's a LOT, and it's too big of a factor for proper "E-sports". Sure you can be competitive, but the game mechanics simply don't allow for a pro environment.
: Can we get an option to change pings a bit?
: Mordekaiser is so fucking bad and needs a nerf
Not until they release a $50 skin for him and pillage the players that have abused him.

Ezreal is probably the best example of a champion perfectly balanced around player skill. As a support main, I have to point out that the number of bad Ezreals I have seen (since his change), have largely outnumbered the so-called (and self-professed) Ezreal players out there.

That's always been the case, because he requires you to have a higher skill level than your opponent, so if MM is balanced, up until very high ELO he will get stomped until skill levels start to peak, and you know what? That's fine.

: Okay. Well, the problem here with this debate is that I disagree. And I disagree because I am winning about 75% of my games despite this supposed item RNG that I am definitely not profiting from since I have no in-game item benefit EVEN WHEN I GET items since I have no idea how to build what from memory and no idea what the strongest items are I should be going for. And I am not researching TFT top builds and playing the meta slot machine. I am playing exactly what the game gives me to the best of my ability, switching and tweaking comps when it seems that's the correct step, saving and blowing gold when it seems that is the correct step, and level bombing when that seems correct. And I do the best I can with items that I also frequently don't get and still am terrible with even when I do get them. And I am still winning way more than I am not. So I disagree with this logic everyone is putting out there. If I, the terrible player with terrible item comprehension I am, am able to find a way to consistently win while also not farming nor typically getting access to so-called "meta builds", then either I am the luckiest guy in the world, or I am doing something different and/or better than everyone focused on item complaining.

Until you face people of equal skill and the biggest impact on the game is now RNG.

: Have we all just accepted that Ezrael kelpto is fine
Ez feels like one of the most balanced champions right now, leave him out of the mess that is Rito balance, please. Thanks. : What about when your jg and mid are duo and they try to invade and get themselves killed and then disconnect at 2 minutes to play fortnite? Am I still the trash player?

: Ornn is so goddamn amazing
He needs an ohmwrecker upgrade. +300 hp +50 armor. Should fix his early game up by allowing him easy access to that health Regen. He loves all the ohmwrecker stats, just needs an excuse to build it. This would be a bit better than the Sunfire cape upgrade stats. +10 armor -25 life. It'd also give ohm a place in the game again. Right now it's the least built item and left there because it was added as part of a competition someone won. It should be fixed. He's probably the only champion it's really good on but he can't even buy it because it won't work with his passive. He's one of those almost there but not quite champions, and I feel like something this small would help him in just the right way. That and maybe jg item upgrade.
