But after that, he becomes stupid af, especially if Rhaast is chosen. His weakness is justified.
: Hey let's not pretend that Tanks are balanced
Tanks are fine. The only thing I see myself having issues is with adc's. NOT EVEN SUPPORTS, just adc's. Ofcourse I'm not denying Janna and lulu s power, but adc's are stupid atm.

: Lulu is a support so that means she isn't allowed to waveclear with Q or stay in any position but support. This is a deliberate design choice by Riot so that only champions designed to oneshot people early can have fun, and don't get countered hard by early game safety.

This is a deliberate design choice by Riot so that only champions designed to oneshot people early can have fun, and don't get countered hard by early game safety. What you fail to realize is that most other mobas give supports ways of defending themselves/escaping/waveclearing because Support is a type of character not necessarily a position itself. Support characters are just characters that have beneficial interacts with the team. Take Braum for example. Hes a Support, but you can play him very effectively top or jg too, as off meta as it sounds, its really good if you know about it. Same thing with Tahm Kench. The fact that support is a position and not truly a character type, is really sad. The two are indistinguishable and its truly a flaw in the game's philosophy.

My Champs - {{champion:136}} - I'm Fine, Really. {{champion:516}} - I Don't Know What's Up With This Guy, Jesus. {{champion:92}} - Everyone Is A Pain Early On, But I Gotchu Mid-Late Game M8. The Champs I Mostly Play are fine atm, but the issue is that there are champs right now that are a must pick or ban for every comp or youll lose to them or their equivalent on the enemy team. Its not that a lot of champs are weak, its jsut there are so many champs needing nerfs right now, to the point were now its the same champs, not in the lcs, but in SoloQ too now. Its downright toxic. For Example, you NEED to pick tristana or twitch if the other is already on the enemy team and the other is not banned or its gonna be an up-hill battle against any comp surrounding one of those champs.

: Member when Nexus had lasers that melted tanks?
SEASON 4 WAS THE BEST SEASON IMO. The only things people complained about was Vayne, Yi, Yasuo, Deathfires Grasp, and Wriggles Lantern. EVERYTHING else was balanced, except kassadin, but he didnt get a rework yet and was a perma ban anyways. Oh and MAYBE Ryze. Now-a-days, its the opposite, I hate everyone except the champion im currently playing in game. Everything is so gimpy and op that its too fast, everything is frustrating, and theres barely a handful of champs that feel 100% satisfying to both play and play against.

: After 5 years of League, I am calling it quits at the end of the season.
I miss the days where it wasnt so team orriented and ONE good player could solo carry 1v9. That barely happens now-a-days. Season 4 is still my favorite. Skarner was still skarner, the game was pretty balanced, EVEN WITH DEATHFIRES STILL IN IT AND WRIGGLES LANTERN. Those were the only thing I remembered complaing about other than "nerf yasuo and vayne" threads. That was it, everything else was mostly fair and fun. It didnt take a team of specialists to make a comeback or hard carry. Jesus, if you were a godly TANK, you could still 1v9 carry. I just dont like the idea of such a strong emphasis on teamwork in a Solo Que. Dynamic Que was only bad cause of low player counter in high elo, and 4 man premades. Other than that, dynamic que fit the "team game" aspect they are enforcing. Im sorry, but as a human being, theres no way im gonna get along with even half of the community without being fake af. Even then, some people are jsut too toxic to see reason. TL:DR Although it may seem unusual, the game was more fun when it was LESS team oriented. Plain truth. Teams were strong when they worked together, but in everyday soloq back then it wasnt necessary.

: @Riot why is Elise getting another nerf?
No clue she's a great jungler but she's definitely not broken she's just really flexible and that's why she's picked often not because she's overpowered at all any other jungler can outperform her in the jungle. If they're using the logic that she has too many Tools in her kit, then nerfing Lee Sin Is a must.

Ranked isn't for good times. If you want to have fun, find a ferris wheel. There are normals for a reason, and frankly, if they banned new champs from Ranked, and allowed them in Normals, a clear message would be sent that says "This is where you should be experimenting" If you don't care what people enjoy, you're in the wrong field. Online games are all about sharing enjoyment with others, and sometimes that means dealing with a different of opinions as to what's fun and what isn't. > > Ranked is not for fun. And the more Riot pretends that nothing is wrong by not removing new champs for 2 weeks, the more people show up without sobriety, preparedness, or interest in their fellow players. > What is ranked for, then? I mean it's part of the game. Games exist for fun, literally. It's a hobby. A pastime. For some people, casual normal games are fun enough. For others, it's only fun if the competition is stiff and everyone is giving it 100%. The latter group goes to ranked. Even the best Forza racers and competitive Tekken players deeply enjoy playing the game. That's why they bother competing at a high level. If it's not fun, there's no point. For that matter, athletes do the same thing. At the heart of any pro baseball, basketball, hockey, etc. player is a kid who just really loves the game. > Also, that comparison you've used isn't the same thing here AT. ALL. Did you want to just tell everyone you take Martial Arts lessons? Three years of high school kendo doesn't exactly constitute "lessons". It was that or go-home club, and I wanted to find a niche, so there I was. The analogy was about the level of competition. Take out the ability to play new champions in ranked, and those who get a rush of adrenaline from competing at a high level as more or less a novice... They've got no real place to go in League. Just like... you know, when I was competing against really serious kendo fighters as a kid just out of middle school. It was a rush. It was fun. I barely knew what I was doing, so I had to make every sense count. League obviously isn't a sport, so it's not exactly the same, but the premise is. It's still more exciting when you don't have muscle memory to fall back on.
Hes not wrong, and he has a point. I truly think peeps are just downvoting him for saying "my God is in heaven". Though I don't have exact evidence to point that out, thats the youth's aggressive standpoint today when any mention of God comes up at all. But on the other hand hes not wrong, Ranked is fun, it can be stressful too, but stressful doesnt. Necessarily mean un-fun.
: Janna at a 55% winrate and 20% pickrate even after Ardent Nerfs
Ardent nerfs were shite since its actually a buff to early game, games finish fast and snowball so its not really geeling the nerfs.
: To all those who downvote the "New champs banned from ranked" threads
You guys just don't know how to play that champ. He is really good actually if you look at my last two games and follow that build. I find that building a Sheen based item first like Trinity Force or frozen gauntlet depending on the matchup is a must immediately followed by a sterak's gage those are your two core items. You're really tanky early on and need more damage than tank stats hand grasp of the undying helps you sustained through a lot. you're really tank key early on and need more damage than tank status and grasp of the undying helps you sustain through a lot. Steraks gage helps you to take a lot early on and raises your base ad. Your q has a one-to-one ratio on ad after building of Sheen based item and sterak's Gage which raises your base ad, it increases your Sheen damage and the damage of your q Which is far more reliable to land in use than your e. Your E is not going to do a lot of damage until late game when you are building your three tank items. So for example against a Tryndamere, you would rush a Sheen and Boots. Then you would finish Frozen Gauntlet and ninja tabbies. After that you want to immediately rushed your sterak's Gage. That is your Core built so far. Your last three items will be your optional depending on the rest of the match up. These must all be tank items though. If you copy one of my last two games Rune pages and masteries and this build you should find a lot of success. He's an all-or-nothing tank so do not try to Skirmish with him like he is maokai or poppy. He just takes some getting used to I wish you all the luck in playing this great champ.

Idk His ult does deceptively more damage than it says. If you hit the target with the Ram coming, it slows and applies brittle. If you hit it a second time, it does damage and knocks up. BUT, since it is brittle from the first hit, the knockup activates brittle, its great for sniping/chasing. So it does the decent flat damage, plus the 12%max hp damage if you hit it with both directions. Loving this champ, after his right buffs, I know exactly how to play him, but blno one believes me! :'(
: How a MAN Plays
Why is he getting so many dislikes? This is OBVIOUSLY a joke on how flash is stale gameplay feature that almost EVERYONE has to take.
: I agree with this. As a collective, we tend to fall into the same trap every time a champion is released in an undertuned state, where we take a look at their balance and assume that their design is so fundamentally flawed that they have no place in the game. This is never the case. Champions like Bard, Gnar, Ivern and so on all entered League with very undertuned kits, to the point where a few thought they would remain unplayed forever. Fast forward a few weeks after their release, with just a few buffs, several of these champions were found to not only be viable, but in fact _very_ strong, with the only major reason behind their initial lack of success being that players simply had not yet taken the time to learn them fully. I'd give Ornn a bit more time before declaring him unplayable, and I predict that he might even become both too strong and too heavily present in the metagame at some point.

After the hotfix, ornn is great now. Just look at my last game on him and the one before that. Rushing a sheen based item into steraks is amazing. Gives him great survivability combined with the hotfix buffs early on, that he can build the extra damage and THEN build his tank items later. Turning out to be a GREAT tank, idk what everyone is still complaining about.

: Ornn Ult
I disagree, I often bait the windwall out first and make sure to w right before I headbutt so I cant get cc'd out of the redirection. All in all, as meh as he is atm, im finding ways to make him work. Also, I think his ult is the best thing in his kit. (Or atleast the most fun part of his kit)
: Why max Q second? Q scaling by rank sucks at less than 150 dmg at max rank. E can do 300 damage at max rank if both parts land and a lower cd gives more mobility. Q only gains 2 second cd reduction at max rank. E gains 4 seconds cd reduction at max rank.

Its cd is lower and is far more reliable dps since the dash has a high cd. You also dont get the damage on the dash very often as it requires setup or the right situation. Q is better for chasing, spamming, and all around higher dps and easier way to proc your sheen. Dash is purely for that chance to cc lock them.
: why play ornn when you could play sej, maokai, gragas, galio, rammus ect
His Q has a 1:1 ad ratio, thats not that bad if you rush a sheen based ad item like guantlet or trinity, imediately into steraks gaige. then boots. The last 3 items will be your tank items to scale late game caue you dont need tank items early on. The resolve tree works just fine on him early.

: Crit based champions are always going to be meta unless...
The issue with crit is just that. You shouldnt be able to reach 100% crit ever. Unless youre yasuo (even that passive is stupid). Crit should be something to surprise you, not to be relied upon to do damage. It should be something that happens by surprise that may win a very close trade or fight. The fact that all adc's rush 70+ crit chance is stupid, it shouldnt ever breach 40%. There should be a cap. Not to mention we need new ad items that are guns and stuff that say "ranged only" so we can put a lot more ad on them to make up for the lack of crit damage. (kinda). This is the only true way to balance adcs AND keep crit in the game.

I think Ruby Crystal needs to stay the way it is mostly, but give a new quest, (not a hard one) that gives it a shit load of hp and regen like a mini warmogs upgrade after completing the quest.
: So here's what I noticed about Ornn
Lol, no its not. You're crazy. Hes struggles in every match I see him in. Hes not a true tank (even though hes supposed to be) he has shitty damage that gets outscaled by other tanks, and his cc is easily avoidable because its slow and telegaphed. You can CC him to stop him from redirecting the ram to engage fights. Its all pretty blagggh. If you ask me, his W needs a buff since its also very avoidable and short range. He needs to move a bit faster and his shield needs to be changed to dmage reduction % like galio taunt.

: Ornn feels really weak
Needs buffs to all base stats, and remove the delay on his Q pillar. Then he can compete with champs like Maokai, sej, etc.
: First impressions of Ornn
He needs buffs, idk what, but he feels a tad off. Needs more consistent damage.
: Ornn and Riot's quest to constantly introduce new debuffs.
I think its fine, its not too strong unless coupled with something long like liss ult or morg q. And the damage is so he can handle himself on his own and not be some kind of glorified support. There is counterplay, dodge his ram, its a bit slow at first but the second trip is fast, but hes a tank, and its his ult. Completely justifiable. His W though, has a relatively short range. And I hope you arent complaining about his W in lane, hes supposed to have heavy lane staying power.
: Depends on what class you consider has too much access to the stats. You can't talk about all CDR items in general when every class gets it from a different sub-set of items. Also, it's better to keep CDR off of raw damage item and link it with other defensive/utility stats. Duskblade without CDR makes sense. Zhonya without CDR would be odd. Abyssal currently having CDR is very strange, since it's as much of a raw damage item as Tanks will get. Another point to consider: final items getting +10% CDR out of nowhere. Black Cleaver, Frozen Heart, Morello, Abyssal, etc. Either change their build-path or remove the excess CDR. (Adaptive Helm here is a notable exception, it needs to keep its CDR on par with Spirit Visage due to its nature as a niche, reactive item. But it could still get build-path adjustments.)

: Taking teleport as a jungle.
As an Aurelion Sol Main, I dont like taking Flash at all, but I HAVE to with this champ. When I play riven, I also HAVE to take it for flash one shot combos. When I'm playing something like elise, or vi, or something else that isnt crucial on, I dont like to take it cause I have a strong belief that flash trains people by nature that its ok to overextend when its up. By not taking it on certain champs, I train myself more and more to not over extend, keep track of my enemy jungler so I know when to be aggressive, and to really treasure the advantage that flash gives. Not taking it makes you think when a good situation to use it has come and when not to use it. I cant tell you how many times I hold my flash now and just walk out alive from the jg gank. Low HP but I still have my flash. I cant begin to explain how flash is wasted, even in streamers in high elo waste it horribly. This is the whole reason some people in Korea will actually justify dying sometimes just so they dont waste flash. I recommend playing without it for a long time and train yourself the proper use of flash.
