: RIOT fixing games
If you're on a team full of people that suck....... It's because you suck too. And if you think otherwise you have an overinflated opinion of yourself. And you're never going to get anywhere unless you quit blaming everyone but yourself for your mistakes, own them, and fix the problem. If you can't acknowledge the problem, you can't fix the problem.

: I guess i will get some hate for it but... Last year, NA won their first B05 in worlds hisotry. Thats nice; especially since it was a gainst a korean team. But winning a single bo5 in several years doesnt suddenly make NA great - especially not as a region. Acting like any of their teams are favorites based on that single win? I think thats a bit over the top. In this regard, i think the years of complete korean domination say more about the regions strength then this single success.. which might've simply been a fluke. The other two NA teams didn't perform well at all. As usual, i might add... And C9 got absolutly stomped in semis. That wasn't a competitive game at all. The same goes for TL's success at MSI. NA had two standout moments, and they got hardstomped immidiatly after. Thats far below the track reckord of korea/china/EU. Show some consistency - this worlds would be NA's chance - but until then...

I have news for you. When it comes to worlds championship, you may have champagne taste like Korea. But you're on a beer budget like us NA rif raf. Korea has 5 titles and 4 runners up at worlds. EU has one title and two runners up. But the title and one of the runners up were in year 1. That year, worlds wasn't even called worlds, regions weren't really formalized and they didn't even have a summoner's cup. Beyond that EU has one runner up. Fnatic again. So in effect, EU has a bunch of knockout stage participation ribbons. So leave the Dom Perignon on the shelf and pick up the Budweiser because when it comes to worlds, you're not in Korea's league. And you'll need to win some more worlds titles and have more runners up before you are.

I think getting out of groups depends upon Griffin. They have a history of choking. If they keep it up, a spot opens up for C9. G2 have been known to throw a time or two also. You just never know with best of ones. Could be they get smacked. Could be kind of like last year when the so called group of death didn't turn out to be. Again you just never know.

Fun Plus Phoenix went 14-1 during their summer split and won both rounds of their playoffs 3-1 and 3-1. But the trouble is, we haven't seen anyone outside of their own region since Rift Rivals and MSI. FPP wasn't at MSI and beat Griffin in the finals at their Rift Rivals.

By your same logic, UOL lost twice to Mammoth and beat them once and they're the second seed and Mammoth is going home. Further, um no, UOL only had to play the one match before they played Clutch. In fact, they had a 3 match rest before they played Mammoth in the tie breaker. Clutch ended up with a 3 match rest before they played UOL. Guess what. Clutch beat UOL when it counted most. All UOL had to do to get the 1 seed is beat Mammoth. They couldn't do it. They had another chance. All they had to do is beat Clutch. They couldn't do it. Nobody to blame but themselves.
: TSM :( !Worlds!
TSM won in the days of sign the most mechanically skilled players, win lane, find one team fight, win game. They never had much in the way of macro. But now that everyone has caught up to them in talent, that style isn't winning any more. They made a huge mistake letting doublelift go as it turns out. Of course hindsight is 20/20. Doublelift was getting older in a young mans game and he was having motivation issues. So I can see why they did it. But it turned out wrong. They made a change to do better at worlds but in so doing, they haven't even made it to worlds.

: General opinions after watching the 1st 2 days of play-ins
My thoughts. Isurus and DFM didn't disappoint me. I really didn't have much faith in either to begin with. Renekton is strong. but drafting him early will require a couple of bans for him. Ranged vs Melee worked out in favor of the ranged for the most part. Mega should be 2-0 and Hong Kong Attitude should be 0-2. If Mega doesn't make it, that's the one they will probably want back. In any case, I wasn't impressed with Hong Kong Attitude today nor any other team in that group. If they want to advance further than this stage, They're going to need some improvement and/or adjustments. Royal Youth was seen by many as one of the best of the wild card teams. They certainly didn't show it today. Hopefully Clutch had their hiccup and will go 2-0 tomorrow. They don't want to be #2 out of their group. There was quite a bit of indecisiveness imo. It usually cost the indecisive team. I'm not sure what to make of Damwon. They weren't all that impressive. But is that because they aren't all that impressive or because they knew they didn't need to be to win and didn't want to reveal anything. Probably the latter. The Brazil fans were loud and proud.

Dyrus and Balls (Quas is an amazing top laner but he's basically an import) are the most noteable toplaners of the "old guard" of top laners in NA, and they are 100% like the new guard of NA top laners (hauntzer, BB) . too resource intensive and a real need of counter picking to win lane. Broken blade is no help for NA too cause he's basically tfblade 2.0 (memes intended) with all the meta spamming (akali, jax, irelia, vlad} . the only actually good top laners are imports (Huni, Impact) and the only note worthy homegrown top laner is probably Licorice. His pick up on Hec last season was an amazing pocket pick. this region has no hope in achieving glory with having such a focus in counter picking and spamming ranged champions in top lane. 2/3 "na teams" have import toplaners claim them as NA but everyone in the world knows that top lane in NA is joke Broken Blade isn't home grown. : Doublelift goes to the team that can carry him. Back when he was on CLG, he couldn't do anything because he didn't have someone who could carry him. Jensen carried him these last 2 splits and Xmithie carried him during his first tenure on Liquid. Bjerg/Hauntzer carried him in the previous splits. He's a smart guy. Go to the team that can get you the ship is a good strategy and there is nothing wrong with that... but there is a reason he can't compete internationally. That's because he is bottom tier talent once he gets over there and the people who carried him in NA can't really carry him at Worlds. He's a regional player and if you want to be successful regionally, then DL is your guy as long as you have strong laners who can carry him... but he's a paperwieght in international play. TL better off trying to trade him before Worlds even starts. One of my favorite moments in LOL history is when DL tweeted last year before their game to make it out of groups saying, "I will not lose!" and his very next tweet was, "Sorry to all my fans" XD He's just toxic and loves the attention. Don't give him the satisfaction and call a spade a spade. And I don't have any trophies... because I'm not on a professional team... but if I played on TL with Impact, Xmithie, Jensen, and CoreJJ... yeah... i'd win every split too XD

Rioter Comments
: Team Liquid Worlds Potential
I think NA is sending two of the best teams it has ever sent. That said so is EU. Never count SKT out. Just don't. As for Griffin well I wouldn't just assume they're going to keep choking even though they always seem to choke in Korea. IG is not playing well as of late but they have won it all and are capable of putting it together. China's #1 seed is playing very well and have all year, however. And overall, China is sending a strong group of 3. Also, the dumpster is littered with best teams ever sent that didn't make it out of groups.... Alliance, TSM, G2. All have had their failures. That G2 team of Expect, Perkz, Trick, Zven, and Mithy was supposedly stacked. Didn't even make it out of groups two years in a row despite having a wild card in their group both times. G2 finally made it out last year with the weakest of the pool 1 seeds and the weakest of the pool 2 seeds both in their group. But Sven and mithy (then on TSM) didn't even make worlds. As for liquid, DL is in good form. They have upgraded both in the mid lane and in support. They have probably the most under appreciated jungler in NA history who is on 6 NA titles now, and they have Impact, who showed even though it isn't a tank meta, he can still whip out a tank any time he wants and he can play carry type top laners too!!! I've never seen an NA support play like core JJ. I'm glad NA and EU are boot camping in EU. Hopefully, the other regions won't know what hit em.
: Is It Just Me...
EU has their two biggest fan base teams in their final. NA was without its top fan base team. And about 3/4 of the fans in Detroit were c9 fans. That said NA was quite loud when C9 was up. Liquid shut them up in the end.

No. There is not video evidence of a conspiracy. You are jumping to the conclusion of a conspiracy from evidence of a probable spectator glitch. Never mind that C9 would have to be in on the conspiracy for it to actually be a successful one.
: While I don't think this was game-costing or anything like that, there is definitely a bug of some kind here. If CoreJJ did know about the bug and utilized it to an advantage, that is directly against the RIOT rules for pro play champ selection. Riot will tell you different, but in my case, I was suspended about 5 times, and met the same criterion for being Perma banned, but I wasn't. You are just another example of Riot banning someone who hasn't put much money into the game because you're a low risk for retaliation to them due to lack of investment. I think banning players is wrong even if they paid very low amounts, because they did in fact pay for in game stuff. You should be able to apply those skins to your new account that you make or get reimbursed the RP somehow in game or be given your $60 back for being banned. : I actually hope TSM doesn't make worlds.
Would it be wrong to hope TSM makes worlds only to be ousted in play ins?
: Because skins are the only reason to care about who wins World's....

Well considering more people in the U.S. care about their local high school football game than lol pros, for a lot of people, that statement is true.
: can we just make dodging in aram not a thing?
My favorite Aram Scenario. Oh Boy. I got Sona. Trade request Sona for Akali. Well ok, I'm awesome at Akali. Here is Sona. Idiot re rolls Sona and gets Tahm Kench.
: What I hate the most is when you have the champion you've been wishing to play for weeks on aram, but then someone dodges and the next game you play you get someone you actually don't like to play at all.

HAH. Alright, I got lux. 4 trade requests for lux denied later, dodge. Well ok Most people don't like Akali for Aram but she fits me like a glove. Let's go get yet another Penta on Akali. Dodge. Post fatal nerf Tahm Kench. Come on Dodge. Come on Dodge..... Nope. you're playing Tahm Sucker.

: Are there some champions you just don't understand why they get chosen?
Regarding Tahm, the nerf to his speed while carrying a team mate has really cut down on his effectiveness. Guys that were legendary eaters now find themselves far less effective at saving someone and kiting that someone back. He's kind of a less effective Zonyas now. . That leaves him pretty much as a meat shield and a rapid transit vehicle (and that distance was nerfed too) You'll see him disappear if he doesn't get a bit of buff back. As for karma she has always dropped off relative to other champs in power. But in exchange for that she's oppressive early. To play her effectively, you have to utilize her power early, then transition over to a more supportive role late. Here RE can peel a whole team. W has always been hit and miss with her. And her RQ is huge early.
: Gonna be CoreJJ or DLift because of Honda sponsorship.

Uh Whoops. The broadcast team that had been pimping Svenskeren overwhelmingly voted for him. In general Impact, Jensen, and even Xmithie were on quite a few ballots instead of either Doublelift or CoreJJ and in the end that handed the MVP to Svenskeren.
