Since we know the player in question is gold 4 on jungle, you are assuming his skill is high enough to warrant not being able to play with bronze players on his OTHER ROLES. This logic makes the current ranked system collapse on its head. Its to account for the fact that champions aren't cut and dry and can flex multiple roles. Example, i might be a karthus mid main, but ill still play at the same relative level of gold regardless if im put into botlane or jungle with karthus.

Example, i might be a karthus mid main, but ill still play at the same relative level of gold regardless if im put into botlane or jungle with karthus. I agree with that statement, but that still implies that ranked cannot be role based. If skill in one champion is transferrable across multiple roles, then the idea of getting ranked by role does not make sense.
: There is a strat for cheating the matchmaking system by queuing for an offrole, then swapping position during champion select to your main for an easier time carrying the duo partner you're boosting. What you are essentially asking for is for Riot to make this _cheating_ strat easier.

: Umm if ur friend was gold and u were bronze you couldn't duo in previous rank either. Personally I wouldn't want to see you in a game if ur on my team with them. Cuz at higher elo you would just be a liability. If you can't climb your self. Have your friend make a Smurf and carry you...cuz that sounds like all that it is you are concerned about.

: Am I Toxic?
Honestly 4 games is a very small sample size. You cannot judge your entire league experience off of 4 bad games. If you've seen Imaqtpie or Tobias Fate's enormous rank drops you'd be thanking your stars that you did not experience what they experienced. The fact of the matter is that no matter how long you play this game, one team always wins and one team always loses, which is why even pro players sometimes int their fucking asses off. Everyone has bad days, but if you are really a better player, you will be able to overcome the bad luck I PROMISE. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}
: I know it's preseason, but...
The fact of the matter, is that you are playing in Gold ELO which means that concepts like the ones you are describing apply to a much lesser extent than in higher ranks. Typically if you do withstand a 1v2 camp, yes, that should allow for your jungler to make pressure elsewhere, but sometimes that is literally asking too much gold players. When I help my friends climb out of gold, I tell them, the only thing you should do is think for yourself, because at the end of the day, you cannot rely on bad players to win your games for you. This is why it is very difficult for support-oriented players, like actual supports themselves, or people who like to only play tanks like malphite, wind up getting stuck in these lower ranks. Also, comparing the frequency with which you get ganked by ur own jg to how often other renekton players do, is somewhat illogical considering every game is different, and the likelihood that you are getting worse junglers than all of these other players is severely low. Maybe, and not to flame you, you are not setting up your lane to be in a gankable position, maybe you arent using your pings as efficiently, or maybe you are getting tricked into thinking that your own jungler is worse simply because you are not respecting where the enemy jungler could be at any time. There is a myriad of reasons for why you are not winning your games, but if you are truly skilled enough, once you play enough games, you will be able to climb I PROMISE. However I will agree with you on your very first statement thank tanks have a slightly overwhelming presence in the game as when they are able to acquire a lead, they can deal the most dmg in the game with base damage alone while also being unkillable. Personally, the concept of tanks is kinda skewed in the current meta, which has forced a lot of adc's to build either Bork or guinsoos or both (lucian, Kaisa, varus).

Predator+ghost+E boosted by celerity was the gem of his kit. But with the new celerity he gets 10% additional movespeed from predator, water walking, his e, triforce, yoummus passive and active... Which all funnels into his passive. This honestly seems like a huge buff to hecarim but I don't know the actual numbers.
: Shhh....
Octahedron (EUNE)
: Well I have more than 500k mastery points on Gragas and people (the ones who have instant/fast traveling CC) consistently cancel my bonus damage from W, as I said all it takes is to react before fatty burps (not while he burps, that is already too late). I see sometimes Gragas doing his empowered auto attack that does nothing but being standard attack but it's just visual bug, it means that either your opponent succesfully canceled your damage or your empowered buff happened to end midway through animation. He channels W for 1 second, if you have instant CC (like Maokai Q in close range) you can easily react to that, if your CC is delayed then most likely you need to predict his W before to cancel it. As to information about that you won't get specific for Gragas. All channeled abilities in this game can be canceled by CC (be it Katarina R, Master Yi W, Xerath Q and R, Karthus R etc.). Gragas W clearly is a channeled (which is pointed out in spell's description) ability so this rule applies to him. Though I didn't play this game consistently since december so maybe this interaction got bugged in patches that went live meanwhile.
I've only noticed it happening in the brief amount of time I've described, and not towards the middle or end of the channel. I'm concerned that it is either not getting interrupted properly by CC, or that it shouldn't be getting interrupted to begin with. Based on your understanding it should likely be the former.
Octahedron (EUNE)
: This is intended counterplay. There are plenty of CC skills that will hit him in less than second preventing him from using that spell all it takes is reaction time (people in plat+ or even in gold do that consistently). Drinking animation paired with very loud audio makes it very easy to notice that he uses that spell + it has audio clue when his empowered auto is online (after he burps he gains bonus damage on next auto, if you CC him before that clue he won't get his damage).
Thank you for your response, you showed me that my argument needed a little more clarity. When I talk about this interaction, I am not talking about the whole 1 second it takes to channel. That is easy enough to react to, Malphite's ult takes almost half a second to travel its furthest distance and people still flash that. Gragas's W needs to be interrupted WAY earlier than half a second, probably 1/8 of a second in order for it to be canceled. And just for reference, 1/8 of a second is 125 milliseconds (the average human reaction speed is about 250 milliseconds + ping). So, no, you're typical gold, plat, and probably even diamond + player will usually not be able to react in time to SUCCESSFULLY cancel it (and for argument's sake, I finished last season Diamond 5, so I think I have a good understanding as to how gold and plat players play). Not only that, but it isn't even certain that CCing the Gragas as he casts the ability will cancel it. I tested it out with a friend for almost an hour, and the argument that this interaction was intentional is not convincing at all. Only around 50% of the time would the "W" cancel, and sometimes the animation for the empowered auto would stay but the extra damage would disappear. Furthermore, after doing a bit of research on "How Gragas "w" is affected by CC" I couldn't find any kind of information regarding the matter. I feel like if this really was intended, I would be able to find this out on an in-depth ability description, but there was absolutely nothing to be found. I still believe this to be a bug. I will record instances of it in a custom game at the soonest availability.

: The underlying algorithms for gaining master points are irrelevant as long as only the top X percent are worthy of the S ranks. Perhaps your perplexity comes from your fixation on KDA, perhaps you aught to seek other areas for improving your skills.
It's not so much about improving skill, but more about the client's recognition of one's impact on the game. Also the reason I reference KDA so often is because of how simple a statistic it is to analyze individual performance, while typically being an accurate representation of a player's significance.
