Now, even though he has stun and his slow has been increase but it has more of a window to allow people to slip away and you actually have to aim both bombs and his revive only hits 30 seconds at level 3 instead of level 1.

I'm surprised to see a "Nerf Zilean" thread and, even more so, one that implies that we should take away essentially his identity as a "Utility" champion. I can understand changing ratios and damage, but removing any form of CC from him would be like removing Draven's Axe-Catching mechanic. So, I disagree with your suggestion.

It was posted under a Journal entry and there were also some tweets from 6 years ago as well. These are not things that I would ask for a person to be fired for, but my main point is that implying that Daniel was some knight in shining armor is a bit disingenuous considering past tendencies. Again, not saying that he should have been fired for those, specifically, but when looking at him, one should look further than just a single tweet thread.

I mean, blatantly insulting your already beleaguered customers is just purely a bad way to hold onto your job. If something like this was directed at an "SJW", then I would, likewise, understand their anger at that person and the company they represent.

: "Women can't get into gaming because gamers are sexist"
When a product is made, people that buy it are their customers. When customers are found, the company tailors their product to the targeted demographic. I would be very much surprised if Victoria's Secret starts selling t-shirts for men that read "Why have a 6 pack when you could have a beer keg?" and the fact that they don't is okay.
: There are so many posts about Daniel Z. Klein...

: Daniel Klein Should Offer HIS Position to a Woman
You're not wrong. "The reason that "sexism against men" makes no sense as a concept is that men have the power." - DZK "Men are RIDICULOUSLY over-represented in gaming; they're listened to when women are ignored, promoted when women are passed over, lauded for speaking out when women are being called "difficult to work with"." - DZK "So yes, in the interest of justice, equality, and fairness, men need to be excluded sometimes. That's perfectly fine." - DZK "**When one group has too much and one has too little, some must be taken from the group that has too much.**" - DZK "**If you've never had to think about this for a minute in your life, congratulations, you're privileged as F@#$ and have been benefiting from a system that makes the lives of other people hell.**" - DZK Just saying...
: This is the point EXACTLY. People aren't upset about the perceived sexism at all (in fact, no one seemed all that upset about the ACTUAL sexism at Riot HQ), and they're just upset about the toxic behavior of Daniel Klein in response to their comments.

People aren't upset about the perceived sexism at all (in fact, no one seemed all that upset about the ACTUAL sexism at Riot HQ), and they're just upset about the toxic behavior of Daniel Klein in response to their comments. But I would say that it is important to say to Riot, "Okay, I know what you were aiming for and, while it is nice that you're trying to let people know how inclusive you are, hosting an event that separates based on gender will definitely send the wrong kind of message and does very little service to those trying to enter into a field where, when they enter, they will not have the 'luxury' of being separated from the opposite gender." Somehow, Riot decided that after seemingly dealing with one sexist issue, they seem to find themselves in another situation by taking things to the extreme in the opposite direction.
: PAX and Riot at PAX wasn't composed exclusively of the panel in Rm 613. Riot had a giant showroom adjacent to the tiny panel room 613 that everyone could go in and out of. For a few hours. entry to 613 was closed for males because it had an intended female audience so they could have frank conversations with women already working at Riot. Guys were inconvenienced at worst, and even then, they literally had AN ENTIRE CON TO DO THINGS AT, instead of standing there getting pissed they couldn't enter 613.

: When the President does it, that means that it is not illegal.
The odd part is that, currently, Nixon wasn't entirely wrong. A lot of people believe that you just can not indict a sitting president so, when he says "When the President does it, it's not illegal." he's kind of right. But the President can be impeached and not be the President anymore. At that point, he can be indicted. It's a really weird area but I feel like Nixon was speaking more on a "The President is untouchable" level and less on a "Well... technically..." level. Didn't mean to turn this into a political thing, but I thought it might be interesting to share that.

As much as I disagree with Riot and how members of their team have handled this situation, I'm going to have to give it to Djinn on this one. We can be angry at Riot, but there's no need to attack separate institutions or bring politics into this. If you think what Riot did was exclusionary and sexist, keep your focus on them. All through my life, I've lived with an worked alongside women that got into positions that were male dominated and they did it because they were strong an they persevered, not because someone had to keep the men away from them. I feel like this whole situation devalues that strength instead of showing that it's valued. The thing is, for a woman to enter that position, she has to start from -1 and work towards 5, whereas a man starts from 1. Now, if you take that added point from men and add it to women, then they are both now equal. The difference is, men will react negatively to that because they think that the privileged 1 point they had was something they were entitled to. Sometimes, in order for things to be equal, some people have to lose something. They're not losing what's rightfully theirs, they're just losing things they shouldn't have had in the first place. Is what Riot did with Pax a good solution as a standalone action? No. Is it in the bigger picture? Yeah.
> [{quoted}](name=feelihipo,realm=EUW,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=qR1n7lLF,comment-id=00020000,timestamp=2018-09-05T20:45:09.572+0000) > > The thing is, for a woman to enter that position, she has to start from -1 and work towards 5, whereas a man starts from 1. Now, if you take that added point from men and add it to women, then they are both now equal. But that's the problem. That's to imply that equality is a zero-sum game. It's not. Why can't a woman start from 1 and work towards 5 and a man start from 1 and work towards 5? Is there a limit on how many people can start from 1? If there is, why can't we just change the system so everyone can start from 1 instead of both people starting from 0? You don't make equality by taking from someone else and giving it to another, you make equality by lifting everyone up to the best they can be. Literally the only thing that would have literally limited men going to that event would have been either time or space and neither were brought up as a point as to why men couldn't enter. The only points brought up were "privilege" and "justice" which are generally subjective terms. Wouldn't it have been healthier to hold an event for all and make everyone who attended feel welcome to join a team of culturally, ethnically and sexually diverse people. It's as important for men to accept women as equals as it is for women to be encouraged to feel like equals. That's equality.

: I fully support what Riot did with Pax.
I disagree. I feel like separating the men from women gives the idea that the only way for women to enter a male dominated field is to be protected from them. Likewise, the rant that DZK went on was definitely tasteless for someone who represents a large company. There were multiple statements that he said that were just flat-out incorrect and completely conflated. There have been a lot of women through-out history that have all fought for equality for women, but one thing they all had in common was that they never once implied that men should have something taken away from them in order to reach that goal. : From a Woman Who Attended the PAX Panels
While I respect the general idea that they were trying to go for, I've spent too much of my life around successful and hard working women who have worked their way into male dominated industries to believe that a woman worth her salt needs to be protected from men in order to be the best she can be. Even those that get in have to accept that they will be working with people of the opposite sex with different ideas, backgrounds and beliefs. Separating them is doing them more of a disservice than helping them. Encourage them to want to join a male dominated field by showing them how accepting that the company is to anyone who works hard and is willing to put in the hours. Exclusion isn't showing acceptance, it's showing preference.

This game is just lonely as all hell. > > > > Combine these two major points and I'm done. > > > Bonus 1: Why are the helmets covering my cahracters face nonstop? I actually hate it. : Half of all the lore is from the civilian's perspective already. Yet OP's thread pretends like that's not being represented enough and receives tons of support as if the community is in agreement... what is this weird hypocrisy?

Yet OP's thread pretends like that's not being represented enough and receives tons of support as if the community is in agreement... what is this weird hypocrisy? I mean, I did specifically say "more" as in "The amount we have is good. But I would like more." I didn't imply there wasn't any or 'enough'. Likewise, a lot of the perspectives we get are from either people who are about to be killed by the champ or people who are viewing the champ. I don't feel like we really got a normal person in Runeterra who we actually cared about and valued their opinion. If you feel otherwise, that's fine.
: I think this is a good idea but...at the same time, a lot of champs are just regular or above-average people. There's nothing inherently special about {{champion:51}}. She's good at her job. She's got good aim. But she's not the best markswoman who ever lived or the greatest cop in the history of Runeterra. (Well, not in her new lore). It's hard to juxtapose some of these characters because they're really just people good at what they do.

Yeah, some of the champs are just people who are really good at what they do. So, it would be fun to explore how people view this. Maybe Caitlyn or Quinn or Lux inspire regular citizens to be the next 'legend'.

: It isn’t a true Sunday unless you wasted it accomplishing nothing and feel like shit around 9pm
Turned 25 yesterday Still had to work Customers were unreasonable went home collapsed Well, I'm sure to a handful of people, I've accomplished something.
: Rapid Firecannon and Statikk Shiv need the Hydra treatment
"the highest instance of damage will apply to the primary target, and Statikk Shiv will chain to nearby enemies even if attacking a structure, due to Rapid Firecannon allowing it to trigger on structures." -lolwiki So, combining them will allow you to shiv towers and shiv groups of enemies further from your position.
: That isn't a half bad idea. I'd say that would be quite a large buff to Malph as he could then peel and engage on the backline at the same time. What I failed to express in my post due to a lack of time, was that my primary issue with any rework, would end up like Galio. Sure, Galio is a good champ now, but he is hardly representative of old Galio. If the two were to both exist in the game now, they wouldn't quite occupy the same niche. This is what I'm most worried about. That the playstyle I have come to know and love, will be replaced with some "broader appeal" champ that may just be another cc bot. Sure, what cc Malph has is good, but that is not the entire reason I play him.

Sure, what cc Malph has is good, but that is not the entire reason I play him. I mean, I've always said before that I consider good reworks to be ones that retain the general feel of the champ while bringing them up to the new standards. For me, the best reworks (Gameplay-wise) were: {{champion:86}} {{champion:48}} {{champion:74}} {{champion:19}} and {{champion:11}} For me, the worst reworks (Gameplay-wise) were: {{champion:14}} and {{champion:3}} So I'm more of a fan of pleasing the mains over increasing how many people play the reworked champ.
: Malph main concerned for Malph after catching wind of Irelia rework.
Probably the only thing I can see them doing to the ult is having it so that you can charge it before flying forward and anything caught in the way of Malphite charging gets picked up and carried to the point of impact. I'm not a Malphite main so I can't tell if that would be well received or not.
