: Welcome to the Dev Corner - An Introduction
im a lil confused whether or not my suggestions belong in which area..dev corner or concepts..but im going to leave a suggestion here and there and hope no one gets pissy with me..my suggestions are simple..and for good reason..sometimes i lose my cursor, with all the flashy graphics going on especially in team fights ..i would like to have an option to have a color optional translucent ring around the cursor..so its easier to see..maybe an inch or 2..i think it would help everyone tremendously..2nd suggestion..since there are so many ever changing champs..meaning so many possible counters..i think integrating the old banning system with the new would be great..giving a total of 7 bans per team.. that way if your favorite champ has not been reworked and several new champs or reworks are making them obsolete this would be a great opportunity to not get super bullied by a whole freaking team of counters..everyone gets 1 ban..one gets 3

thank you..its something that has effected me hard..i just feel like it would be a morale boost for individual accomplishment..sooo many times i have been right to the brink of a series, playing like fire and have 2 or3 shitt teams screw me back to the bottom..i got demoted from b3 to b5..in one day..from surrenders..and afk.and toxic salt bearers ..literally had no choice..not even given the chance to win..this may be something that could be a bronze only thing..cuz im sure silver has alot less losses from those petty issues...not saying give a free ride..just saying kiss my neck and lube me up before you stick it in..lmfao

teamplay as in flex..or you mean team players? cuz thats the problem im having..no body decent available t0 play with..and no matter how good an individual does..it takes not having a team of feeders to win..i could score an s all day long..and be as omnipotent-ly teamworked as 1 champ can possibly be..but you cant put sprinkles on a turd and call it icecream

: It is because you can't win every game. You can play well in most games, but you cannot win them all. Elo exists for a reason, and if you can't win a game by playing well, it means you didn't deserve to win and have to improve. Take me for example. I have a 63% winrate on taliyah, that's pretty good, and I score at least an S- in 90% of the games I play her. judging your logic, I would deserve being challenger by just playing taliyah over and over again, even if I lose 50 games and win 20 games, I would still get more lp than I lose, because I score an S every time. That would destroy the entire Elo system.
if you lose you get negative Lp..correct? something like -18 or -21 is the current rate.. im saying if you score and s and gain lets say +8Lp..but you lose match -18 Lp..you would still lose -10Lp..and if YOU score an s every time..YOU damn well deserve to have a slower trickle backwards down the ladder no matter how many times your team loses
: ive had a very bad streak of toxic and just plain crap games the last two weeks..and your judgement on these games furthers my point.. i started playing this game at the beginning of last year..made my way up to b3..and had a load of dookie players facilitate a string of fast paced demotion..you can only do so much when someone feeds a nasty comp..i have a tendency to try and save people..and let me tell you..b5 adc's are among some of the most over confident toxic shitt players in the game.. im not saying reward skill-less people for losing..but if you do your job some help on cushioning the blow of a loss i feel is due.. and if your the hero of the day that should be rewarded with Lp..for exmple..i scored an s- with leona yesterday or the day befor..but still lossed..i was sup..and was carring my team..so why should i lose the same ammout of Lp as the worst person on my team?
also not saying that all my losses are everyone elses fault..i do have some straight up out played or just out picked games..i do know im better than b5..and when a good synergy happens and no whinny toxicity.. i excel

You already have the advantage of getting a free win whenever you get back into a promo that you lost before (untill Gold 1) Giving even more free LP would make elo even more worthless.

: I understand the reasoning behind it, and it'll encourage players for taking ranked more seriously, but it has a downside of discouraging individual sacrifice for team's gain. Take {{champion:30}} for example. If he dives in the middle of entire enemy team, he'll end up dying, but he'll most likely secure his team an ace. If he takes his grade into consideration though, he'd refrain from doing that, even though that could have won his team the game had the opportunity presented itself.
then grade should be taken to consideration if the sacrifice caused an assist or multiple assist ..within an allotted time after death..assists should account for more gold anyways..and if you save an ally from death if they are under like 15% health and they last like 30 sec after you sacrifice..

: true..it seems to be the most common denominator .. abuse..ks all the time, chasing kills in the jg instead of pushing lane..im sure if regimented by some order of importance, role-play effectiveness..and capping the bonus Lp potential per person..it would be worth testing..something must be done to rankly reward skillz individually..cuz the ladder is broke af
tired of having games like 10/6/22 with Leona.. and the next best on my team is 7/10/5 .. i mean..i did good..wheres my reward or at least a break

: Like what? Most healing done? If you made it like last hitting a tower or baron people would die to do that/flame each other for stealing them. Kill participation would be the most viable, but no one would want to split for map pressure or clear waves late game just in case a fight starts. Whatever it is someone has the potential to abuse it.

: Its been brought up, it incentivizes going to do whatever thing gets them the bonus lp and distracts from winning the game.
well if riot made it the most rewarding for teamwork and objective based achievements..wouldn't that incentivize the effort to win?

this way if your the best of the losing team..the lp loss wouldnt be as heavy.. you can be right at the edge of success..and a string of bad players can tarnish even the best players record
