for some reason they are different kinds of prestige skins, Aatrox, Fizz, and Ahri you couldn't unlock with points from an event. Lux is the same way and wont be in the prestige shop afterward. Though it seems weird to pick some and not the others, the pattern seems to be if you can unlock them using a pass, you cant unlock them with prestige points.

I've been playing since 2012 and it's been trash the entire time. One time it told me that I took 12 damage from tailwind under cassiopeia's name. How am I taking 12 damage from janna from cass.... It's sort of inexcusable at this point? They've reworked the fog of war, and fixed the map three different times, totally renovated the client, and so many other misc fixes. This is ridiculous.

No Lux is almost always picked more supp than mid. You'll notice that graph only goes back 2.5 months. Her playrate since 6 months ago has more than tripled, in both roles, because she's received multiple direct and indirect buffs. You'll also notice that her winrate has gone from like 46% mid and 48% supp to above 50% in both. She's strong right now and is being picked more. Normally she's has like a .8% pick mid, and 3% pick supp, to over 12% pick total.

Maybe in pro play she was picked more support than mid, but in soloqueue and normal games she is more often played as a mid laner up until the enchanter support nerfs. She's seen pretty decent play throughout her career spiking up to a near 20% pick rate, this isn't even the most popular she's ever been... There is absolutely no denying that she is pretty consistently one of the more popular champions in the game, hence her usage in advertisement, and the fact that she's now a champion available for new players to start with. She is easy, fun, consistent, and backs a good personality with an interesting story. She's just a well designed champion who has largely remained the same for seven years and is still the second most played champions in normals. What's important to note here is she has a 20% pickrate in one of the most saturated lanes in the game.

: This is a good post. Realistic, not really biased on either side, just looking at things as they are. I wish that Champs with less skins could get more, but as you said, you want them to get the right skin, too. Sometimes a theme will roll around and suit a Champ perfectly. Way back when Lux first got her Star Guardian skin, back when she was the only one, it was a match made in heaven; the theme just suits Lux's skills and personality so well. Or something like Announcer Draven being his Legendary skin, playing on the self-centered-ness that people love about him. Some skins just click. Imo, ASol's Mecha skin is actually pretty cool. Its one of the best if not the best of the skin line. But I can understand that if you don't like mech skins, its just not for you. I just find it strange that people are shitting on it. Its a good skin, just not the one most people wanted. Dunkmaster Ivern, while a good skin, was definitely an odd choice. I think the other advantage Champs like Ahri, Lux, etc have is that the themes that suit them the most visually ALSO suit the tastes of their players. Ez and Lux players are already watching anime, they are going to like skins like this. Ivern players probably aren't watching basketball, so even though it kinda suits Ivern visually, Ivern mains aren't as likely to buy. Also, rename it for goodness sake, Daisy is the one dunking here.

I would say that, in my personal opinion as a person who doesn't really play ASol, that it's a let down because of the standard set by his base skin, and to an extent his release skin. That coupled with the time he had to wait for it, only for it to have little to nothing to do with his character set people's teeth on edge. That's what happened with Lux's steel legion skin in like 2013
: Can we have a skin-line the where unpopular champions where lux, ezreal, and ahri's clothes...

Trust that I don't disagree with you and I don't mean to sound argumentative because like I hope to imply in my original post, people are right to complain. But it's ALL of the human champions who are saturated with skins. Only a select minority who aren't newly released can say they don't have 8+ skins.

Indeed, but Lux still has a lot of other skins. Not to mention both Ezreal/Lux are already in an anime line. It's not like Lux's place is EXTREMELY lux-centric either. Fiora, Neeko, Sivir, Sona and more could easily take Lux's place in terms of both thematic (Battle Team member) as well as narrative (Deutagonist to shonen anime boy) What I think is awesome is Jayce's inclusion. He is absolutely an under represented champion and should be MUCH easier to design for. I think his should have been the legendary over Ezreal's. I personally will take more anime skins for Lux as opposed to more military skins for her, I remember the Steel Legion fiasco, which to be fair the skin itself isn't a bad skin, it just has nothing to do with who she is. Spell thief captures her more demacian military related excursions better than any of the military ones, and she has three (which if you discount pajama party makes it more than her anime skins.) I think Fiora would fit Katarina's place more, and I couldn't really see Neeko in the line. Sona definitely would fit but more like the nurse in highschool of the dead, the oddly passive sex bomb. I definitely could see them in like an opposing club/school continuation for sure. I can agree that Lux didn't NEED another skin. But I'd also argue that Fiora, Sona, and Sivir with 8, 8, and 11 skins respectively don't necessarily NEED it either. I guess it's hard because nearly everyone that could fit as a woman in this position already has 8+ skins and would be considered overwhelming to the community. All of the girls I listed (in my original post) have equal to or MORE skins than lux does. Katarina has more than Lux at 10 - 9 but I don't see many complaining about her inclusion. Taliyah, Ekko, Diana, Nunu, Jayce, Illaoi, and Zilean are all relatively underrepresented champions to varying degrees that I'd have liked to see. But I just think it's strange that Lux is a target when even GP has the same amount of skins as Lux does. Lux is tied for the least amount of skins in that line being released, not including Yuumi.

The new skins are awesome, and the lux prestige skin is finally a prestige skin that I think looks better than the base, although I will be buying both. People seem to forget that popular is the key word when they keep complaining about popular champions getting skins. Lux gets maybe one skin a year, but that's because she sells like hot cakes when she does. League needs money to keep making skins for people who don't sell as much. She's also super easy to make skins for, as opposed to ivern and asol, who's latest skins are the definition of dumpster garbage. : How disrespectful is Yuumi’s splashart
: Male Enchanter Support
I'd say Rakan is an enchanter, he certainly isn't a tank or a poke support.
: My kneejerk reaction to her kit was that it reminded me a lot of what a Lulu rework might look like. Her "attachment" characteristics are similar to Pix's mechanics but with a lot more complexity. Don't really care for her personality or thematic though; seems like Riot's really pushing that new diversity agenda. First Neeko, a confirmed lesbian (and basically trans too), then Sylas, a confirmed homosexual, now a furry. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so deliberate, but after their recent string of PR disasters, I guess they gotta save face somehow.

Sylas isn't gay, the post that claimed that was fake. also a straight up cat isn't a furry. Ahri and renekton are more furries than yuumi. We have well over one hundred champions who are straight, or are assumed to be. We have Varus, and neeko as confirmed lgbt characters. Statistically, there should be many more than that.
: Dominion is shown in Yummi's trailer
The dominion map was only good for hide and seek.
: Dear Riot, Let's Talk Meta
I think part of the reason it transitioned away was because the game was boring to watch. Lcs games had like a total of 3 kills between both teams and someone would surrender. Unkillable tanks slapping people with wet pool noodles isn't fun to watch, or to experience really. With all of that said, they took too many steps to nerf tanks, AND buff damage instead of just one or the other so it swung the other way like a pendulum. It SHOULD be a happy middle ground, where tanks can actually tank, but aren't the optimal thing to be and games are decided by who is the tankiest. I think that damage should remain the same, and tank items should be buffed significantly. This way, carries can still kill eachother reliably, and deal with bruisers when significantly ahead, while still needing their teams help to deal with tanks, and tanks should be able to withstand adcs for more than four seconds, and shut out ap carries. Ap carries exist to shut out bruisers and other carries, but we also eat through tanks like wet paper. Mr items need a buff. Base mr for melee champions could stand to be increased as well.
