Changing it up thinking no one would be like "Hey, wait a minute..." is a bit silly. And I have nothing against different character sizes and builds, but she was established one way, and then transformed into something that looks NOTHING how what everyone knows her to look. SHE'S TAN. To be fair. With WoW they lazily made her (in my opinion) Its just the blood elf model with adjustments. The HOTS team kinda changed her up so that she looks more like an original character. BUT you have to remember, Chromie is only a dragon, NOT an aspect. Alexstrasza is much more powerful so for her to stand out in her own way from Chromie I think is good. And yes she should have a tan XD
: Oh god, I didn't realize how ugly Alextrasza is in Heroes of the Storm...
Honestly? Her face does need a fix up but overall I think she looks fine. She's an aspect, a DRAGON. Not a Faerie dragon either, a massive monstrous dragon. She's gonna be thick, she's built like a tank. There's nothing wrong with that in my honest opinion.
: As a top lane main, i'm miserable. The game has never before been this cruel to me.
I know exactly how you feel. I too was a top lane main. When I first was placed in Bronze its how I climbed out, but as soon as I hit silver I had issues playing Top. I rarely did bad in my lane (More often then not I would win it) but none the less I found that as soon as my lane went down, all eyes were on top lane. 4 man ganks under turret and really there would be not much I could do. I was hard stuck at silver 3 for like 2 months and it drove me insane. There is a problem at the moment in Solo que and its that no one wants to play the tank. People are more willing to play support then a tank. So, I switched to Jungle and ran almost strictly tank Jungles (with a couple bruisers here and there) And honestly I almost flew to Gold in like less then a month, I had a bigger impact on the game. Running hero's who are tanky and have great team fight potentials like {{champion:32}} {{champion:31}} {{champion:3}} {{champion:120}} {{champion:59}} {{champion:57}} {{champion:33}} {{champion:113}} (yes I jungled Galio, it was fun) Top lane and Top lane Champs at the moment are kinda a wild card. Either it does NOTHING, Carries the WHOLE game, or loses you the game. No in between. But I have been finding its been doing a lot more nothing then the other options.

: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/186426797741572098/380075488535642112/Dragon_Age_2_cover.png Dragon Age 2, a good game but a terrible sequel in most regards. The combat and overall graphics were vastly improved, and the voice acting for Hawke was on point with the only downside being whether or not you preferred your silent antagonist whom you could project your own voice and reasonings onto. But if you look in the corner you can see why the game itself was a poor sequel to Origins. Origins had the choice of 3 races of different backgrounds, Dragon Age gave you the same race and story no matter what. DA2 was good and had good story, but its level design wasn't just repetitive in overall design, they ACTUALLY repeated levels while only adding different mobs or just starting you in a different section of the level. Their use of the same levels was pretty good, but it was being clever and lazy at the same time. The game was rushed, by EA. They had a year to make this game and did the best they could and it's quite honestly amazing for a year's worth of time. But had EA not meddled with the production and let the game come out of its own accord there could have possibly been better level design, bigger world to roam in (as it were you had two sections, Kirkwall and the Kirkwall outskirts in day and night cycles.) and better combat on the part of the A.I. The A.I. has many preset moves that delivered poorly, for example "Captain" level enemies had a move where they stick their sword in the ground beside them and just punch you across the face for a brief stun. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't the fact that the animation took forever and still hit you no matter where you were on the field. If EA hadn't pushed them so hard they could have made the combat as dynamic as it was fluid and allowed them to expand on the story in places where they were forced to rush it. EA fucks games and takes money, nothing new with them doing it to Battlefront.

: thing is that wouldnt nec work, during the 4 weeks before season end, queue times were 10-20 minutes with atleast 5-10 dodges or fail queue pops. not to mention with how the PBE works, matches randomly dying stuff like that. on PBE it could take one month to get 6300 (PBE atm has bonus exp per match so it doesnt truly equal live numbers) while on live with queue times for lower elo and normal draft being lower, you could get 6300 in 2-3 weeks.
No i completely agree, things needs to be fixed with the PBE. does not seem to be working well for the public, or testing for that matter. Seems like large bugs still slip through the system even though it was "tested"

.... I actually like this idea. You would have to put a limit on it so that there's no funny business and it would have to be regulated somehow, but if you are with a friend and you crack open a shard that they have been looking for and they have a shard they you want, why not trade shards? I doubt it. There's a relationship between the two that could easily be delved deeper. In his rework I could see them adjusting blood boil for something different, perhaps to include more of Nunu other then him throwing a snowball. I love the idea of a young child on the back of a giant beast that could kill anything that got in its way, it adds a layer of humour and intrigue. I dont think riot will dump off nunu and just have a mindless yeti

: except they have no other testing areas and thats what pre season is for. testing out new huge changes to the large force of players, PBE is a shit hole, lets be real. ive never played with such toxic people, the amount of times ive been told to KMS and that ima worthless piece of human filth on that server is beyond counting. The only feedback people really get on PBE is from the big youtubers who lets be real mostly do customs, and the posts made surrounding some bs they managed to craft.
No I gotcha. The PBE is awful. It too needs to be redone in how they allow certain players and there should be some sort of carrot to have people report bugs or issues so that they can go looking for them, something along the lines of that. But there are a group of people who still actively use the PBE correctly. An idea could have been "k guys we are testing the PBE for the next week with blue essence. Everyone will have their blue essence temporally drained and will be given 3000 BE. 5 random champs will be put back into the store that you previously purchased temporarily. by the end of the week everything will be restored to normal." Just to get feedback on how the system felt. IDK atleast something along the lines of that.
: get the F off their balls man. If anything it is only them who got hurt by it, since they "lost money" and have to use time to clarify the screw up now. That bug only benefited you
Your missing my point. Riot Cactapus made a whole post about how as a company they have to figure out ways to still maintain people buying RP. So they chopped Orange essence disenchanting by a third. But then they let this bug slip through and they just say "meh whatever" It contradicts exactly what Cactapus said. They hit orange essence so hard that now it's almost not even worth it anymore so that they can maintain RP sales but let a bug that potentially could have lost them a lot of RP sales. Get my point?
: Can confirm the October 26th IP screwup. The timing on it literally could not be worse but it's easy to verify if you look at your own match history. Here's mine, where you can see it go from normal to D A N K on Oct 26 (click to expand): https://i.imgur.com/kilNLDN.png[/img] And here's a month or so before that when it was all good: https://i.imgur.com/Cl4Tt0h.png[/img]
I still ask though. This is NOT a small screw up. This is huge! This is the economy of league itself! Yet NO ONE said anything until now? ALSO something I want to ask. How could you test a whole overhaul of the economy on the PBE when EVERYONE gets free dust all the time? There was no way to figure out values on the PBE cause no one has to lift a finger to get anything, its all given to them (us). So, its as if you shipped something live, that has not been FULLY tested. The runes are great, loving them. I get it too, you cant fix every wrinkle in PBE, you have deadlines, you have timelines, I understand, I'm a film editor at an animation studio, I get it you cant always get it perfect with in the amount of time you are given. But the blue essence has encountered nothing but issues since it hit live, issues that should have been sorted out a LONG time ago. NOT JUST blue essence either but Orange essence too! There was no way you could test either properly on the PBE. Testing the economy on the PBE is like taking a product to see if it can handle the cold to Hawaii. It's redundant and silly. If you want to test something before you ship it you test it in an environment similar to how it would be in the real world.
: Yeah, but I don't think riot "fixed" the bug so much as "replaced the entire system outright". Therefore, they may not have even realized that there was a bug at ***all***.
I don't know if that makes it better or worse tbh
: Because the **patch notes** exist to tell you about bugs and how they're fixed? Riot isn't going to address every given problem on the boards when there's an *official place and time* to address them all. The next patch would logically be the time that such a thing is brought up.
It's already been patched, the bug has come and gone and they reported nothing on it. It's not something that came up this patch, it came up the patch BEFORE preseason. You don't encounter a bug, patch it then two patches later let everyone know. PLUS, this not a "Oh ezreal's Q seems a different colour bug" this the what the whole economy of league is based on.
Mortdog (NA)
: In prepping for patches as large as Pre-season, often things will go into the game behind the scenes in patches before hand. This was a case of something going in that caused the issue. It's really just bad timing. If you check your own match history before October 26th, you can find the IP system working as it had for years. Case in point, here's mine: https://i.imgur.com/KS7mQ3k.png
But why is this not addressed MORE publicly? Why is there not riot thread saying "hey guys, we messed up, but this is what happened in the previous patch cycle" unless im blind I do not see this thread or announcement anywhere, its just on this thread alone. So people are going to continue to say "hey look I made this much ip before wtf riot" and unless they read this thread they are not going to know that there was this bug. It was NEVER mentioned in the pre-season patch notes either. I dont agree on stealth nerfing. Where you change a bug or mechanic and not mention it to the WHOLE public, it feels sleazy. EVEN if no one noticed it, still. Like you just brushed something under the carpet and kinda hope that no ones notices.
Sinlaire (NA)
: because it was only live for 2 weeks that they were generous enough to just let slip until the preseaon patch? i mean its not like it was in place for Months and they said nothing. it was a single cycle. how many people actually made any real noteworthy progress in that time that actually define-ably cut into Rito profits in that period?
Well according to Forbes, League has 27 million players that play daily and 67 million who play monthly. It's about 10$ for a 6300 champ (I know 10$ gives more then 975 RP but this is the minimum you have to spend pretty much) So, lets go the average of the player base's since its a 2 week cycle, which averages at about 47 million IF 2% were thinking of spending RP instead of IP, but then 25% of that 2% (or 0.5% of the average player base we set) decided that they were earning enough IP that they could save and wait it out, that's a total of 235,000 people saying "Nah ill wait" Times that by 10$ and you get 2.35 million dollars. But hey, lets cut that in half too, lets make it 0.25% of the population, lets go a simple 1.175 million and then round it down to 1 million dollars. Riot Cactopus was talking about business and orange essence. He talked about how the company needs to make money and so they had to reduce how much orange essence we received so that they can makes their ends. BUT letting a bug like this which increased our IP gains makes them lose money! It doesn't make sense to tell everyone "Hey we are still a business and need to make cash" then turn around and let the bug stay on live for 2 weeks. Of course, the 1 million dollars is simply an estimate. I dont have any data that tells me how many people are buying champs with RP, but none the less it simply brings perspective. The Only data I have are the daily amount of players and the monthly amount of players.
Mortdog (NA)
: Hey. I mentioned this on Reddit, but thanks for giving me the opportunity to do so here as well. The IP formula has always been as I described. You can verify that here: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Influence_Points Unfortunately for us, around October 26th, until Pre-season, we shipped a bug that increased the IP given. If you check matches before that date, you will see that follow the expected formula. As for why that bug happened, honestly I'm not really sure, and it hasn't been a priority to figure out since it hardly matters now. It certainly wasn't the best timing for it >_<. But I was neither lying, nor was I misinformed.
Well isnt this a bit of a shit storm So a bug was sent out that was granting more IP then normal, no one said anything about it but now that BE is released its been re-tuned back to normal. Idk, just something about that feels off. I mean, thats a relatively large bug, cause in a way it would allow people to earn champs faster and not require people to fork over RP to get the champs faster. How did this slip past? You guys talk about that you guys need people buying RP for you guys to survive and re-invest into the game, I get that, completely understandable. Yet you let a bug that could potentially hit your income live for 2 weeks? EVEN if it was small, none the less, millions of people play league a day, it would add up.

: Leveling and Rewards - Early Impressions and Adjustments
Im curious, So one of the things that people have been saying is that veterans (like my self) have been kinda shafted. I've been playing since before Lulu and Hecarim. So I have seen my fair share of ups and downs. I have almost 2700 games played and spent more money then I would like to share publicly (you can look it up for yourself if you want) Do you have any future plans for us Vets in the works?
: Any word on Darius? The guys at Darius Mains are torn between Grasp, Aftershock, and Phase Rush, while I've been running Predator (since I have a very roam-heavy playstyle of him) but he just doesn't seem to feel good with any of these. The loss of bonus AD in particular really has hit him hard: His bleed is doing significantly less which reduces his lane bullying, and his level 6 is weaker than it has ever been since I started playing League in late Season 5. And unlike other champs with Bonus AD scalings, he got no compensations for the loss of it. I'm not asking for tripled damages or anything insane like that, but even a little love would be nice. As a small example, the likes of Riven, Jayce, and Renekton all got stat compensations on their abilities that had bonus AD scaling, just small ones to cover the loss of it. Something like that would help. The loss of a Fervor equivalent also hurt us badly. As stated above, we really haven't settled on any one keystone that says "This is for Darius" and none of them feel that great overall for us. I'm not sure what could be done about this but anything would be nice. A lot of the guys have suggested a revert of the Noxian Might early game nerf but I'm not sure that's quite the answer you'd be looking for. EDIT: I know you said you don't make changes based purely on winrate (which is reasonable, as proven by your ryze/azir example), but just as a reference point, last I heard plat+ Darius players are at roughly 45-46%
what are your thoughts on Soul Harvest? (cant remember the proper name) The one where you collect souls? I find that one fairly effective.

I know I must sound like a broken record, I know that so many people are complaining about it. But theres something wrong with the blue essence system. It's either we are not getting enough blue essence or its taking waaaaaay to long to level up, but either or, its getting on my nerves. I originally stood by you guys in defending the new system. I even made a discussion defending it. But as more and more people commented, i began to realize that maybe it was not as great as I thought.... The runes are great, I love that concept, but blue essence? not my favourite. Also, over 3.5k for Mastery 6 and 7's? seriously? That's harsh. The effort should be getting those S ratings and not how much essence I have and how I choose to spend it. I should not have to spend in game money to show that I have a mastery over a champion.

: [Champion Concept] Havel, the Heart of the Pride
being critical here I Love the concept of the character, well developed, makes sense, sounds like the complete opposite of Kled. Lions are my favourite animal of all time so that is a bonus, The problem comes along when we get to the kit. It seems WAY too close to Warwick, she also does warwick's job. The chasing Jungler concept. There are variances sure but in the end Warwick could do her job. But this idea of taming a beast is interesting..... so What if you added almost a, shall I say, Ivern feel to her. something along the lines of.... "Pack leader: 90s cool down: When Havel kills a large neutral creep, it's followers acknowledge Uwo as the new pack leader. They attack however Havel attacks, Havel gains the experience as if she killed them but not the gold. When they are killed, Havel gains the gold that they would have given" This would only work on mini krugs, small wolves and raptors. This would help her clear time and give her bodies that follow her when she goes to gank, so if someone throws a skill shot at her, like lets say morgana, you have 5 bodies around you that might take the heat. Just something along the lines of that might be a neat idea :)
: are there other ways to pronounce Zoe? (was gonna ask as well if there were other ways to spell it but i remembered there is at least one lol)
You would be shocked as to how people pronounce my wife's name sometimes. most of the time Zoe is spelt "Zoey" But my wife's is Zoë <----- with the greek e She will be called "Zo" because they think the E is silent for some forsaken reason. Or some think the weird E makes it sound like an "I" so you get people calling her "Zoi" (like saying soy but with a Z) I guess there isnt any other way of saying Zoë but its just that people get it wrong so much I just think "Zo" is another way of saying Zoë XD
: You have only one option, convince your wife to play alongside you.
in fact, I just quickly made her an account named " Zoë The Aspect" I just hope she'll try it, and hopefully will like this champ when she comes out XD

Not to mention he's picked one or none games for the last 4 consecutive seasons. >Which is pretty good, that's almost perfectly balanced. The game is not only for people who are plat+. the majority of people playing league are in gold and below, it does not make sense for riot to balance a champion for only plat+ play. There are more people in gold and below then the plat+ player base. This is what the recent rework/rebalance for Azir was trying to stop, where if you were a plat/ diamond azir main you were the ruler of all, anything below and you were garbage. " We’ve tried to find a middle ground for Azir where he’s playable at all skill levels, but ultimately we ended up needing to settle for “pretty weak unless you’ve mastered him” to keep him from disrupting the mid lane landscape. With this update, we didn’t want to fundamentally change the core of Azir’s abilities, because we already thought his kit was pretty cool! Our biggest priority was making it more clear where he should be strong and where he should be punishable. As a result, this is more of a large tuning pass than a traditional update, but that tuning is significant enough to deserve more explanation than a patch note." https://euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/champions-skins/champion-update/ability-update-azir like I said, Nasus has a play style that fluctuates through the meta. Sometimes he's great, sometimes he's awful. It's just the way it is with the late game stacking game.
: Nasus is too weak comparing to other Juggernauts
im leaning to disagree a little bit here. Nasus has a mechanic that fluctuates through different metas. Sometimes he crushes enemies to dust, sometimes he becomes the dust. Playing with a Nasus can be tricky, you have to think that you are almost 4 v 5 for alot of fights. If Nasus does not farm enough hes useless, but if he farms too much then he's not in team fights. There's a balance, ALSO you are only comparing him to other Juggernauts, but his overall winrate in ALL tier's is 50.8%. Which is pretty good, that's almost perfectly balanced. Nasus plays differently from other juggernauts. He cant be the only tank on the team but his only job is to seek out the carries and splat them into oblivion.

: Twitch is WAY too strong late game.
Twitch has a lot of weaknesses. He really has no proper form of escape other then his Q, he blows up to hard CC, and of course sucks in the early game. Twitch needs a front line to be able to do well in team fights, otherwise he just gets demolished. Positioning is key with twitch, if he's in the wrong place he either dies, or does nothing. How to beat him? Learn to close the game out earlier before his power spike gets out of hand. sure he goes 0/8 in lane but that does not matter when it comes to a character where their power spike is late game. I've seen vayne's go 1/7 in lane and then go 22/9 in the end. Know your champs power spikes and your enemies.

Sorry. but You guys butchered this rework. Darius was my main, and tbh, after playing the new Darius it ruined my day and made me in a mood that is equal to the current state of Darius. it made my mood shitty. Darius was satisfying, now he's just clunky, slow, and does no damage what so ever. please take some power off of the new passive and add it back to his kit, cause its frustrating to get to 5 stacks to be able to do anything what so ever.

: 5.16 Darius Balance Feedback Thread
So, as we all know, a bunch of new the and such have been added to league of legends along with a couple of reworks, but what I wanna focus in on is the fallen dunk master, Darius. Since I had heard about the new Darius rework, I was not fully confident in what Riot was doing, I understood what their direction was, but I was not sure if it was the right direction for darius. I played Darius on the PBE and let my opinion be known on the forums and I was told that “We feel once players get used to the new Darius they will be fine.” I felt that (as a player who played a lot of Darius top) My thoughts were kinda just shoved to the side with what I had said. And now here is the day, the new Darius ships to live. And what have I gotten from it? NOTHING but negativity from all players that once have played Darius. I've read comment after comment AFTER COMMENT about how Darius is now not even close to how he was before hand. Lets start with the passive: The change from magic to physical makes total sense. But the bloodrage is the biggest thing, now I like the concept, but I feel that lowering every single thing that is in his kit to compensate FOR it is too much. It's not easy to get to 5 stacks now and when you do get to it, you either have died or the enemy has escaped, then when you get bloodrage, it literally lasts for 5 seconds. All your effort to reach 5 stacks is put in a window of a 5 seconds steroid. Not a fan of that at all. The Q: This change pains me...... The fact that I have to charge up a Q and apply LESS damage then what I had before. I feel that if im charging up my Q, I should be able to hit even HARDER then before. Not feel like im winding up a wet noodle to fling around me. I really don't care for the heal that it gives because one of Darius's main items was ravenous hydra. But now its just a clunky mess. The W: Once a turret wrecker, now just a pitiful on hit slow. I used to be able to make people pay for coming with in the range of my crippling strike and making them suffer with a Q followed by a dunk. Now? I feel like its just a heavy whack with NOTHING to follow up with. The E: Relatively unchanged, nothing really to comment here other then the brief slow it gives. The R: the damage got nerfed so bad that you cannot kill anyone unless its a clean up. That's if your team won a team fight and you come in late to just finish off a low health teemo. But the worst factor of all.....: Is that Darius does NOT feel satisfying to play anymore. I used to hop on League just to PLAY Darius, he was so much fun and always gave me a smile when I played, now all I feel is nothing but disappointment. He is no longer satisfying, no longer FUN TO PLAY. That is the main part of League of legends isnt it? To have fun and feel satisfied with the champion that we love? That we feel that we can pull off plays and pull of things that you can remember for a long time? I feel that that satisfaction of playing Darius has been stripped away from him and is no longer a champion that I enjoy playing. I invested many hours into this champion and it almost breaks my heart that this has happened to him, future buffs and changes will be needed to be able to attain the satisfaction that he once gave. -CanadianGuyEh

: "I didn't see that VU coming." or Nobody Expects the ChampUP Inquisition!
Hey Iron stylus! I remember you from Fan expo :) But i'm Speaking on 2 champions that need love overall that you did the Canadian art for, visually and a bit gameplay wise as well For me, I want a Alistar tear down and fix, he needs a sivir like gameplay/look fix. Sivir's kit improved massively after her gameplay fix but the heart of the whole gameplay stayed the same, Alistar needs this. His headbutt/pulverise is kinda his core gameplay, but why does he heal? It does not make sense to the character. Alistar was a leader of a clan, and then became a slave after his family was murdered. He escaped slavery and is pretty pissed off, so a heal on an angry bull does not make sense, a BATTLE cry however would make more sense. But instead of healing, it could give a passive aura and when activated it gives increased stats to all those around him. Kinda like the old kodo rider from warcraft 3. His ulti is great too, but I would rather kinda dash the AD scaling and give something else, something that scares the living crap outta me because there's this unquenchable raged bull charging at me. Maybe make him immune to soft cc/snares but not stuns or hard types of cc (cause then its just an olaf ult). The other one is Quinn..... Quinn needs touch ups..... visually. To be honest im not a fan of Quinn AT ALL but thats my personal taste. But her textures/rig is just hawkward (see what I did there?) and she seemed like she was rushed
: Community! Tell me your skin ideas.
Ill fire a couple ideas "Ranger Rick Teemo" This one actually could be very easy to make teemo look like a raccoon and he had a walking stick (blow dart) and of course he looks like mountie with the hat :P overall i think it would be cool "Pool Party Zac" I think if he was made of water, red shorts, and had little fish swimming inside him it would be really cool. his blobs has fish in the as well and when he stomps on the blob the fish swims back in the group thats swimming inside him. "Librarian Soraka" Out of all the Support champs I think Soraka silences the most. I think it would be funny if she was done kinda like a semi sexy (but not fully sexy cause you know, she a goat) but whenever she silences someone you would hear "Shhhh" because thats what real librarians do, they silence you. I think it matches her personality as well. "War Wukong" I think if there was a tribal like skin for wukong (almost a planet of the apes feel) where his face is painted up with tribal markings and wearing like ancient primitive armor. Its simple but a neat idea

: Gnar Q&A - Creative [COMPLETED]
Hey Opeli! I hope your having a good day so far :) My question about Gnar is that were there any creative differences between the gameplay and the art? Like when making Gnar, have you had to add or scrap parts of him to try to fit more to his gameplay? Is his looks crafted around the gameplay? or is his gameplay crafted around his looks? A bit of both? and if there were multiple things you had to scrap from Gnar, which one was your favourite and why? Sorry for all the questions :P thanks!
