Typing aside, Rhydon has Lightning Rod as an ability because the horn acts as, well, a lightning rod, directing electricity away from the rest of the body.) . Conversely, this has also been used for Ash to lose fights for absolutely no reason other than to keep the story going and recycle the character instead of making a new MC for the next season, like Ash's super formed Greninja's Water Shuriken failing to KO a pokemon absolutely weak to the water move and already somewhat weakened. Even though he had gone into a super state, did a special dance and made the Shuriken into a spirit bomb. But then somehow the fire-resistant frog just keels over to a Blast Burn? Again, typing aside, Greninja should be at least as powerful as the Charizard with or without the Mega, and Charizard face tanked the Water Shuriken to *NO ILL EFFECT*. This is an example, albeit a long one, of when bad writing can indeed, be completely wrong. It's not exactly inconsistent, and of course it *happened*, and thats inarguable, but It's still horse shit and wrong. The context of the situation and the rules of the universe says the story should not have gone the way it does.

I dont think they removed his identity at all. Most people agree that the soul thing didn't fit his identity. Mordekaiser was known for being a terrifying wraith who pressured his indomitable will unto others. A warlord destroying all in his path and taking their souls for his own power. Not a necromancer that could bend the will of souls. And they didnt remove skulls and ghosts and anything death related. His new ult is literally taking people to "The Death Realm".

: How strong is Mordekaiser compared to other champions?
Well, from my understanding, against the average human being Mordekaiser is almost death incarnate. By a simple touch, he can kill you with nigh incurable disease, and once he kills you, he has complete control over your soul. By definition I think he is a Wraith, although im not sure if those exist in this universe. I would say hes probably similar to an ascended in power. He is no god or demi god. Think along the lines of an extremely powerful undead. Kinda like karthus except probably more deadly. In terms of power, he is basically the Sauron of Runeterra. VERY powerful, but he himself is not a god.

Is I feel he will be viable both top and jungle. as all his damage is AOE and he has a shield/ heal, to keep him healthy. his ganking potential will be fantastic with his E and his ult.

Depends. Pantheon is a more viable jungler. He's also a massive lane bully, and has a much less steep learning curve. He is fairly easy to pick up and play. But he also falls off mid-late really hard. He does provide a lot more map presence then Riven though. Riven has a lot more to learn. And if you want depth and really get to the core of a character and test or mechanics. Then go Riven, Riven is the definition of a hard to master champ. There are Riven veteran players that willingly admit they still haven't mastered her.

: The blink is probably a basic ability and not her ult. Every assassin with hard CC has a tradeoff when using it (Rengar) or the CC in question is hard to pull off and very telegraphed (Ekko), because if they don't they break the game.

I wouldnt see the why the charm or the blink would have any trade off? I mean, shes always had burst. AP Evelynn is bursty as hell if she gets an okay lead. And most of her new kit doesnt look all that significant. Ahri is basically the same thing so far. Bursty, her ult is 3 dashes. From the looks of it. That blink thing she has is her ultimate. and ahri has a charm already. and ahris Q is her poke and damage tool. And it looks like Evelynns old q is sticking around just looks more polished. The only difference. is the ultmates. To me, that Evelynns new ultimate looks like an execute. Like something that has damage that scales off of % missing health. Maybe even a really cool mechanic. Since its clearly AOE and in an Arch in front of her. maybe people in the center of the Arch take bonus damage because they are getting hit with 2 shadow things instead of one. She looks interesting to say the least. *EDIT* now that I look at it. Her ult doesnt look like a blink. She had to flash over that wall to get to the Renekton 00:33. But it clearly has some sort of return mechanic. Maybe its actually a dash that cant go over walls?

Played mostly {{champion:98}} , and bursty {{champion:240}} build that i had enjoyed for some time, but decided that the style of play for top laners just wasnt my thing. 4.) ADC- Basically played {{champion:22}} and {{champion:202}} the entire time I played ADC. But I kinda got annoyed by roams and not being mobile enough to "outplay" enemies. Despite that. I dont really like {{champion:67}} or any of the mobile ADC's. I really only play it now when I play with friends because none of them play ADC. 5.) And now here I am. I dont have any wish to play Mid tbh. Just not a role that fits me. Tbh I think Jungler is the best role for me. It is just a matter of finding a Main in that particular Role. I think I want more of an assassin jungler or somebody who can get lanes going through just ganking the living hell out of people. Evelynn seems to be working well right now for me. But of course shes next up for her rework. Which I am somewhat excited for. But I dont wanna put all my eggs in one basket it so to speak. Idk From the champs I have played it seems like I work best with divers or assassins. Somebody who can get in and destroy a High Value Target. Or maybe even initiate fights. (Otherwise it would be broken beyond belief) If the enemies go untargetable when picked up by gulag, (think tahm kench eating all 5 champions at one time), The ability would be much more balanced in team fights, and you could have high damage, with a lower cooldown. The question remains, Do you want his ult to be a Scary damaging ability, or an incredible setup ability? (having both is op)

(having both is op) My thought is more of a CC ability. But I think it should definitely make the enemy untargetable for the duration. If I made it so they were targetable I think that would be just asking for balance issues. I also dont think it needs to be high damage however. Maybe highish base damage, but very low scaling. The stun when hitting a wall is a pretty big payout for using it properly. Not to mention thats an AOE CC ability that could potentially effect an entire team. Maybe something along the lines of Base Damage- (1%/2%/3%/4% max health per second) + (+100 total AD= 1%max health damage) Bonus Wall Damage-(75/150/225) (+15% Total AD). This way it does decent damage against tankier opponents. But not to much against Squishies. He could walk forward and start swinging for idk like 3 seconds? That way he will do around 12% max health to a tank. WhIch is only around 300-450 damage. and only like 100-200 damage to the squishier targets. And that makes hitting them against a wall alot more important. Because you will want the bonus wall damage to make any significant dent in opponents.

: Numbers can always change, so its really just the idea of a tank doing max % health, and having the cc to keep someone locked down. I would say change the passive completely, change the ult a tiny bit. I personally read the lore of champs, and think what that champion would learn from his lore that could turn into an ability. With your lore, I would think maybe a passive that does damage reduction of some kind. Gulag gains 1% armor/mr (depending on what type of damage hits him) for 10 seconds, unlimited stacks. That way the more damage this dude takes, the more tanky he gets. If someone like jinx is autoing him, he will gain 1% armor with each hit. I think this is a much more "Boring" passive, but has the potential to be a really decent ability. Also the Ult could be like Ornn's flame breathe, where he walks slowly forward. SO its basically a slower dash but has the same effect as you wanted (pick up/wall collision). The question would then be are the enemies targetable? If yes, thats really strong, meaning lower damage, high cooldown. If the enemies become untargetable, higher damage from the ult itself, and lower cooldown. I think with these changes, and some numbers tweaked he'd be a really strong bruiser, but not cross the threshold to assassin cc tank like I think you have in the original post. All my opinion though, Riot never picks up suggestions (I've seen incredible champs designed with beautiful artwork, lore, and perfectly balanced numbers/abilities that have been posted on the boards and Riot ignores them.) I didnt mean to come across as rude, I was a bit blunt with my reply, I never said what I liked about the design, just what I thought of it unfiltered lol. Its a great idea and I'd love to see Riot add something like this to the game. Thanks for sharing.

But could you be more specific about the mechanics for the ultimate that you suggested?

You're not taking into account that balance has to occur somewhere here. You basically made a Darius that does % max health damage, has a self shield, and his q is a knockup. Not to mention the passive, a 50% slow and 7.5% max health damage on every individual champion once every "FEW seconds" If we're using your sense of balance, Im going to make a champ that has kayles ult as his q. trynds ult as his w. olaf and yi's ult as his e. and nocturnes Ult. His passive is at 12 minutes, your team wins the game. Gotta shed some abilities off this guy, and find what class you want him to fit into.

The numbers are not something I'm particularly good at. The abilites I dont see to much of a huge issue however. The cc he has is strong. Thats the point. But realistically its not much different then ornn, in levels off CC. Ornn has 2 knockups, both of which are AOE, 2 slows. Gulag has 2 slows. 1 of which is a passive that has a fairly long cooldown. and then some hard cc. I understand what you mean though. Although the degree you are taking it as is a bit high. Care to add any changes? Like I said im open to suggestions.
