Totally agree with you. The main issue is that the HUD and the store are built in entirely different code bases, and because of that we don't have a bridge that connects the two and allows functionality to mirror item shifts from one to the other. The new HUD was built from the ground up on a new code base, and the store/options menus haven't been converted yet. No ETA on when we'll get to them either, but we do have it on our radar as an issue we want to resolve.

We're working on the color/bold tweaking. We wanted to stay within the current hud color scheme but if it doesn't work well we'll change it.

We've experimented with a few different layouts (center icons with info going out, etc.) and this iteration feels the best from a readability standpoint. We're still evaluating to see if there are better ways though

We're expecting some disruption as players get used to the new layout and functionality (similar to what players went through with SRU). That being said we've been testing this within Riot for a while now and several teams that are regularly using it are really enjoying the new features.

: I am loving the new interface, but the main problem I see is that you cannot check allied mana levels. It's actually pretty important to know who on your team is about to go OOM.

: Skin Boost Bug
Howdy, Quick question: did you manually select the skin you were granted? The feature is built to grant a skin but not auto-select it (we didn't want to override someone's skin selection by auto-picking another). Also, when did you purchase this? Howdy, By default it'll grant you a skin but won't select the skin for you. You have to manually click on the skin it gives you via the skin select screen or click on the skin button after someone's purchased the boost. If you get granted a skin and it's not showing up after you try to select it or isn't selected, please send us a screenshot of the chat text (with the granted skin) and the skin select window along with what region you're in. That'll help us pinpoint user cases and track down any bugs. Thanks, -Chager

: In that position/order? Probably not. Moved down to the rest of the HUD? 110% agree. It doesn't make much sense for the allied champion information to be so far away from the rest of the information on the board when it is quite vital during, say, a teamfight. The scoreboard is decidedly not as important during action, so it's fine where it is.
I definitely think there are better placements for team info that's closer to other information hubs. They seem a bit detached on the left side away from everything else.

: When I first thought that I wanted to move them it was because I wish I could more easily use my spell on the portraits. I used to main Lulu and still play that a bit... her W and E spells may both be casted on an enemy or ally for a different effect. So in a clustered fight with enemy melee champs hitting my ally there was a small chance I might missclick the spell and get the wrong effect; using the frames eliminates that chance. I rarely felt it necessary for the most part, although in clutch moments I would go out of the way to use the portrait. It's easier in a more central location. I have them next to the map right now because I feel it helps me get more information in fewer glances.
Right on, so sounds like position changes would be useful for both functionality of casting on allies in team fights, but also the potential to have better team awareness if they were positioned closer to other useful bits of info (vs. being on the far side). : I just wanted to say how although I know you intend to make the new gamemodes more interesting by changing the maps, for example one for all and hexakill. I enjoyed the game modes much more when playing on summoners rift. When you create gamemodes like Acension and 1v1's 2v2's for other maps I love them. All i'm trying to say is that when you make a gamemode for a map keep it on that map, maybe add a couple tweaks. I can't speak for everyone but i know all of my friends and I liked the original versions of the gamemodes a lot more. We're hoping that you're not planning on putting urf on a different map. By all means continue making new gamemodes for other maps, but we'd prefer if you kept a gamemode to a map.
There are totally times where keeping an original game mode on the same map makes sense. (Not sure Ascension work work on other maps). But sometimes there are goals we wanted to achieve but didn't or additional game mechanics/changes we wanted to put into a mode that were cut for one reason or another. We're always open to trying to make what's great even better. Sometimes we get it and sometime's we don't, but we always want to try to improve on what we've made before. Also we want to make sure we listen to feedback on modes from players and take that into account if/when we bring a mode back. One for All was a good example of that; there was a lot of player suggestion that it would be fun on Howling Abyss and we wanted to see how that would work. We also were able to put in some improvements (battle boost, voting system) that were cut from the original OFA.

Hi all, Wanted to drop in and say we hear how much you loved URF and want it back! As L4t3ncy mentioned at the end of this blog, he'll be talking soon about how the past year's modes went, some cool data insights, successes and challenges, and what we want to achieve in 2015. In that he's going to go into some detail about URF, some of the challenges we faced and what we learned about it which will give some insight on how we chose to create and bring modes back. Also, it was said in several of the comments but URF will be back, so fear not! A lot goes into planning a mode schedule for a year, but also into making sure when we bring a mode back its not just the same mode, but has had additional development time based on what we learned and want to improve on.
