: cs most likely what denied you there. it is based on the top 2% of all players relative to your rank/elo in that matchmaking mode and how you perform compared to them. so if the top 2% average lets say 150 cs and you get 135 thats points against you for getting an S. etc. Theres a lot that goes into it, but cs, kills, death, all matter.
actually its the opposite, the grading system is based on the average for every person whos played your champ in the same role as you. which very heavily distorts and augments the standards for a low elo player, lets say this, pros have an average of 10-12 cs per minute so at 30 minutes they should have anywhere from 300-350 farm depending on the availability of the jungle, and that number pretty much stays the same down until master, where it wavers between 9cs and 11 cs a minute, daimond is the same and plat has the same in half of the population, gold is between 8-10 cs per minute, and that puts us at half of the population of league of legends. So, half of the population of league of legends is going to have between 200-350 cs at 30 mins, that makes the average cs at 30 mins 275. now, iron and bronze are not influential in the grading system becasue the skill level varies so much and the average cs per minute is so low that riot deemed it "dropping to a point we view to be too easy for players to achieve" which I get, but at the same time, that only leaves silver to weigh in on the average cs, which is 5-9cs per min, we'll call it 175 cs at 30 mins, which is lowballing but for the sake of the argument ill keep it at 175, add that in and that would drop the required cs per minute to get an s at 8cs per minute, for the entirety of the league of legends community playing whatever champ ADC, in order to meet S grades standard for CS, they need get a cs per minute number that is considered to be absolutely terrible for most of the people in this list, meanwhile, expecting a brand new player to have the same amount of understanding and comprehension of LoL as someone who has played this game for years. do you see the issue here? The grading system needs to be based on the top 2% of people who played your champ in the same lane, which, is still a fairly un reasonable standard to have considering the top 2% of every rank are going to be Master and up smurfs in Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, and in daimond and up the average cs per minute has such a small variation that the top 2% are going to have the same stats as the bottom 2%, relatively speaking. The grading system by nature is a flawed system, its trying to take something like a game of league of legends that, by definition, is un-controllable, and the epitome of putting thinking on your feet to action, and a player base whos skill range spans from deaf dumb and blind, to seeing 10 seconds into the future and controlling the game with your mind, and shoving every single one of them all into the same box with no regard or acknowledgment to diversity of skill and playtime along with a complete disregard of the completely random and spontaneous slop house, kill frenzy, toxic dump station that is a game of league of legends. Taking everyone, no matter the skill level and playtime, and holding them to the same exact standard as every other person doing exactly what you are doing with the same exact champ in the same exact position, is honestly arrogant and a little offensive to me as a gamer. There are so many ways to play this game effectively, and win, you can troll, you can cheese, you can freelo, you can do whatever the fuck you want, and win, and climb, and have fun, and have the numbers to show for it, and its offensive to have a system that basically stares you dead in the face and says "NO, I DONT CARE HOW YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME, YOU WILL PLAY MY WAY HOW I WANT IT, WHEN I WANT IT, AND YOU WILL LIKE IT"
: They compare you to other kindred players , and then they notice that your farm as a kindred was too low for an s , but for braum and rakkan that are both supports , the cs has close to no value for their rating , which is why they got an s but you didn't
i honestly believe that farm should carry 0 weight in the jungle, becauese youre role in the jungle is not to cs, in fact, most of the time you are bypassing cs to get into a possiviton to take a fight
: My S's always came from being 7/1 with 140 CS. I have gotten a A+ with 12/1 and 135 CS.
i was just talking about this in another thread, its because the grading system has a zero leniency formula, so no matter how good the major and important grading points are, if your vision, objective participation or deaths, arent up to standard, than goodbye s, you could go 400/0, but if you dont have that 6-9 cs per minute, or destroyed and placed more than 4 wards each, you arent going to get an s, which i find to be extremely ignorant and makes me question how much the people who created the grading algorythm actually know about league of legends, and the fact that the grading system has 0 to do with rank and elo so someone who has played nothing but Kai'Sa every day for ten years and gets 300 cs at 4 minutes with 7 kills/ 4 deaths/ and 10 assists while warding and taking objectives is graded to the same standard as a player who has barely played this game ever, let alone the champion that they chose. its just a very one sided system and it needs to be adjusted to a top 2% of each rank rubrix over a cross rank champion average rubric that makes s's childs play for anyone daimond and up while giving a frim and upright standing middle finger and saying nothing other than "git good" to anyone lower than daimond and high plat.
: i think the biggest issue, well two issues, with the grading system are, 1. Riot pays no attention to the fact that we are being held to a cs and vision and objective rubric that isn't possible at a low elo, (iron, bronze, silver) because the way the game is played in low elo makes it near impossible to keep up with 100 cs per minute and also still be present during team fights and to take objectives, also, you are graded on the number of wards destroyed as well, in a rank, where only 30% of the people ward consistently enough to even have a mediocre anti-vision score. and 2. there is no give and take to the grading system, meaning, they dont have leniency towards smaller grading scores (vision, objective presence, and deaths) when the larger grading scores (kills, CS, Kill participation, objective securing) are above average, so it doesnt matter how many kills you get, if you dont have 100 cs per minute, you could go 400/0 and still get an A+., which i think is ridiculous, because if you look at professional freaking games, the player that is doing the most damage to the enemy team and securing the most kills, will always fall short on CS because you cant have a fighting presence like that and still keep up in CS and riot needs to realize that and correct their algorythms to incorporate grading leniency.
also, not to sound whiney or complain or anything, but I think its kind of arrogant and offensive to hold Iron, bronze, and silver players to the same standards as pros and hyper elo players and not see anything wrong with it. i 100% agree that everyone should strive to be like and play like the pros and emulate them when it will benefit you, but, it took most of them 3-5+ years to have the mechanics of this game down to the point that they do, and they expect everyone to automatically be there without practice? and yes i know that the grading system is an average for each champ across all ranks in your region, but when you take into account the fact that the average cs at 40 mins in diamond is at least 300, and then look at low elo where at 40 mins it is barely breaking 150 most of the time. that would make the average around 220-250 cs at 40 mins, something that is cake for high elo, whereas someone at low elo would have to go out of their way literally the entire game to reach those numbers. its just very heavily weighed to the high elo players and is pretty unfair. Edit: oh and i also forgot to mention that Iron and low Bronze are not counted in the grading system because it would "lower the average to a point that we see to be too easy for players to achieve."

Giving the standard BS vague reply doesn't work 'Dr. Death', the issue is a CRITICAL FLAW i believe in the whole earning a S rank measure, because everyone has to play above a certain threshold, every time everyone S ranks with a champion or has them at A or above, the 'bar' rises and makes achieving S rank even harder and we never were told if an actual 'reset' is applied which really should be happening every month to allow 'all players' a chance at earning chests. It does not help that said bar 'rises' even if a person is not doing it to earn mastery tokens or already received a chest (Aka one trick ponies), We also have no idea on the actual 'impact' that B and below will even 'balance out' the S ranks and more then likely it has less of an impact and its only when we play champions in the most irregular of positions (Aka Support Cho'gath, Support Sejuani, etc.) that seem to have odds that actually work on getting people an S rank and we actually feel its possible for said S ranks to occur. As for key fragments the rates being extremely low and 'linked' to just winning and supposeldly are made to drop about 4 keys worth every month, when even i on a casual pace can only get a few fragments sometimes only 2 or 3 whole keys most. Short story: System needs a massive rehaul. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}

: I’ve heard talks about TFT being ported to mobile, but not until PC TFT is bug free and optimized
Also, coming from someone who currently plays *MOBA who shall not be named*’s auto chess on mobile (Oh riot lords please forgive my dishonorable actions and I beg thou to spare such actions for it is only out of availability). Disconnecting from a game is incredibly rare, almost to the point of non-existence, it’s just one of those things, like, you wouldn’t start a game of league 20 minutes before you have to leave for work. Is it possible to be done in that amount of time? Of course, but it’s likely to last longer. Same notions carry over to mobile auto chess. If you can’t do the time, don’t do the.... starting...... of the game.......crime????

: I know, I’ve noticed that ithe higher you go in your division, the more you lose and less you gain for winning, almost like they’re saying, “if you want to get into the next rank tier, that is basically no better or worse than where you are right now depending on your current rank, you have to show us that you are actually a smurf and can single handedly carry every game you play” which is completely broken. A game like league, with 5 individual souls controlling you and your teammates, it’s literally impossible to win every game, in fact, unless you’re a big time smurf and you’re playing Yi or a tanky hardcarry, it’s impossible to win even 75% of your games consistently
Also, the level and rank matching for ranked is broken too, I’ve played games where multiple enemies were a full rank and half above me with crazy winrates and my team had a highest win rate of a whopping 48%, by me, next closest was 30 cause that’s totally balanced ranked matchmaking

: Because Mundo is easy as fuck to kite in fights. The dude legit just runs at people. Its like Nasus and Udyr. Annoying in a 1v1 but completely fucking useless in team fights because he cant do anything other than eat CC and hope to not die. He's legit one of the worst champs in the game rn
I don’t know what rank you are playing at, but Mundo, Nasus, and Udyr are some of the most dominating champions in the jungle and top lane in season 9, they are champs that are essentially inevitable, not so much udyr, but Nasus and Mundo are, you can counter build against Mundo, and counter pick against Nasus and zone the crap out of both of them, but unless you have eyes on them constantly and are spending the entire game blocking them from farming, they will continue to farm until they are the sole reason their team is winning. Especially since they buffed Mundo’s ult effectively making Grievous Wounds useless against him
: I was actually just talking about this with one of my friends. Riot has been so afraid of nerfing champs into the void, that instead of actually nerfing them, they have started to change the game around their broken nature to compensate for it. It all started with the release of Kayn, a champ that broke ganking and almost made a fundamental part of winning games useless, the ability to ward and always know when there are enemies coming in to your lane, Kayn bypassed that, he can come in completely undetected. So instead of fixing their mistake, riot started adapting the game around this, Talons slight rework was next, now there is a champion that has the capability of countering this gamebreaking ability. But that didn’t fix the issue of damage balancing between two separate endgame forms, darkin still being the most broken jungle in the game, the lifesteal, the mobility, the ultimate and healing gained from that. So they brought in Aatrox’s rework and hoped that that would even it out, and it didn’t, and now we come to the new bounty system, a system that makes having a significant lead mid game, hard earned, and hard fought for, completely and utterly useless because the enemy team decides to focus you in a heavily one sided team fight and even though you are the only one that died, their hardcarry just got 1300 gold, then bam, lead gone.
Oh and I almost forgot, this constant fear of overnerfing champs lead to broken abilities and kits running rampant so they had to compensate with other popular champs and boost items and lifesteal, and now here we are, where there are at least 5 champs in every lane that can absolutely destroy you without barely lifting a finger at level 3. It’s also because of the changes they made to the runes to be heavily focused around adaptive damage and increased scaling through runes. It’s just getting out of hand and it needs to be fixed

I love how during the recent live patch feed riot did, they talked about going through old champions and reworking/modifying their kits to fit what league is today but they completely ignored the handful of champions that are original champions that have virtually never been touched with a buff/nerf/rework yet still, to this day, have higher ban rates than 90% of all the champions in the game. These champs, especially Trynd, Mundo, and also Garen, are game breaking champs. They are inevitable, no matter what you do, short of not fighting at all, they are guaranteed to become almost unkillable and will almost single handedly win the game by themselves. That is something that should not ever be a thing in a game that is based off of earning your gold and therefore strength. Earning. Not having your strength waiting there for you at the ready.

Try to bait out his ult, and then force an engage when it's down. But I do agree that it is ridiculous.
How are you supposed to bait it out when it gives him a 35% movement speed bonus and then goes on a 25 second cooldown? I say this as a person who has tried this many times, baiting it doesn’t work when the cooldown isnt even long enough for the next minion wave to arrive.
: This is funny, because it's actually true. Shun, a friend with whom I play almost exclusively brought one of his friends to LoL, the guy lack total skill. He's a legit new player, if left alone, he doesn't even know what to do. BUT He's better than 90% of all the team mates I get for the simple fact that he listens to what's needed. https://matchhistory.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUN1/2174357752/219466781?tab=overview He's the Varus, you can check his match history and all. He misses ults, forgets to buy boots 90% of the time until like 15-20 mins, sometimes doesn't even take his ult at 6 because panic level up, but he asks what to do, what to build and if told (we're in voice chats), he's doing it. As long as there's someone to tell him what to do (Shun's not the best coach tho), the guy does better than many players I face in ranked in silver or even normals. People just think they know it all and don't want to listen, and many a times, do the exact opposite just to spite you.
I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve warned people not to do something or tried giving them advice on their match ups and they just ignore me and lose. The worst is that mundo is making a huge comeback in low elo because people don’t seem to have any knowledge of counter building or how to shut him down in lane. Not to mention the fact that 90% of players in low elo can’t seem to understand that getting shutdown at anything above 3-4 kills is one of the worst things you can do this season, especially if your killer has large comeback and carry potential.
Raiyza (NA)
: Oh my fucking god. It is the WORST when you're winning 20-6 kills, but you lost anyway because your teammates chased kills all game long and didn't take objectives. EDIT: You can communicate to your team what you need to do all you want. Low elo players don't listen and they think they'll win anyway. happens. Too. Fucking. Often.
The worst is the fact that people don’t seem to understand that when they’re 5/0/3 and they 1v2 bot lane and kill the support only to die to adc, it’s not worth at all, not even close. Not only did that adc get a kill, which gives them a significant lead no matter what, but on top of that they got whatever bounty you had on you, which should be around 500g at that score. The days of kill for kill, “they gave me my 6th kill and I gave them their first so it’s totally worth” are long gone. People need to understand that deaths have a massively larger impact this season than they ever have before.
Raiyza (NA)
: No, game knowledge is a worse problem. A shitty attitude doesn't mean you all of a sudden forget how the map works. A shitty attitude is certainly a factor, but game knowledge (when to shove a lane/rotate/go for objectives/etc.) is a far worse problem. Players just don't have enough to carry a game.
I think the biggest issues, or at least the ones that are most prevalent at my elo are, literally any amount of knowledge and comprehension of how not to feed, any understanding of the new bounty system and the meaning of “worth”, and a mind-blowing lack of awareness.

Totally agree. It's just that a few seasons ago people didn't die so much in the first 5 minutes of the game, and it used to be 3 feeders lost you the game, maybe 2 if they were feeding really badly. Now one person screws up and you can't contest an objective, and they just use the objective to end the game.
Exactly, I honestly think the new bounty mechanic is the worst thing that riot has ever added to this game, it makes comebacks brokenly easy and it makes the ignorance and stupidity of one teammate have a massively larger impact on the game than before. They need to either get rid of the scaling bounty, or cut it into pieces and divide amongst the team. That single change to the game makes getting out of low elo almost impossible because everyone seems to know exactly how to get kills, but has absolutely no idea how to use them and do whatever they have to to keep their health from going below 0. So they just continue to get a few kills and a die over and over again and before you know that one person that has killed him 4 times now has as much gold as my feeding teammate who has 14.
: I don't think they're preventing me from doing anything. Their matchmaking is trash and it's a proven fact now. But you can continue to bend over backwards for them if that makes you feel good about yourself.
It’s not that their matchmaking is broken or rigged, it’s that the game only matches you based on level and rank, causing you to be matched with people who haven’t won a game this entire season, people that are toxic as fuck and feed after dying one time, people that are legit iron level in gold and silver because they got carried, players that somehow can’t wrap their head around not letting their health go below 0 in lane, and whatever variation of low elo mindlessness you can think of, with players who deserve the rank they’re at or are climbing to, and players that are smurfs who for some reason find it amusing to shit on people a lower rank than them. In my opinion, Riot needs to pull a quick Alt+F4 on everyone’s Elo, Rank, MMR, everything pertaining to where your at in ranked, and start fresh. I’m tired of being stuck 3 tiers below my skill level. Is it just me, or has there been a huge increase in the number of players who have absolutely no clue how to perform the pure basic mechanics of this game????
