: You could have incredible game knowledge, but lack the mechanical skill or willpower to grind higher. Someone's status should never be a factor in determining if their argument is sound. What you say should be judged on it's own merit, nothing else.

What you say should be judged on it's own merit, nothing else. These 2 work together until diamond elo, even if your mechanics are absolute trash, you can get diamond with good decision making
: its a logical phalacy to assume your rank is a testament of skill or the soundness of a strategy. Ussually when someone mentions their rank I assume they have no real point and just dont understand the game. same with people who worship kda and bring it up. its the "do you even lift, bro" of league... a false relevance. plus most of the time the douchbags i see flaming about their rank are the weak links on the team. people use rank to excuse their failings

I'm confused

: Every loss is from literally one bad player.
Once again , another thread were people don't simply understand how elo works\ what it is. If you're a much higher elo player, you won't drop games(except 1-3) in lower elos. Unless you're a janna main, which in that case you're not really a high elo player

You might be right it might be that simple, but we can't really guarantee it's properly done, anwyays this is off topic, my main post was how toxicity has no impact on elo, and you reply with how it has SOME but that some is literally negligible if a toxic player can climb to high elo being toxic I think you don't know how an elo system works, You do know that elo system is based on skill only right ?
: I'm more inclined to trust Riot in this one, as they have the data to compare a player's behavior to their MMR over the same time, and view changes in both over a large sample size. I doubt it's an especially *large* correlation (so it makes sense that a toxic high-ranking player could easily earn a high rank), but I would not be surprised to hear that most players find their MMR slightly higher when their behavior is good vs. bad.
You're also the same type of person to believe that riot can program their client to seperate 9 reports from 1, They can't program a client properly so what makes you think what they're saying is actual data The client has so many bugs for a billion dollar company

: I've only played Nexus Blitz for about a week, before that it's all normal wherein I was screwing around. Other than for a forum thread last season, I haven't even played Ranked since season 3. https://imgur.com/a/7gwzwHE I can carry when I want. I just don't take a game I've played for almost 10 years, and haven't cared about ranked for 6 of them, all that seriously. I play for fun.
So ok if you're playing for fun its okay, but don't show me a screenshot of you winning a normal games when your bronze in ranked with 300-400 games in "I can carry when I want" is very ignorant because you can be saying that and not realize u mean only vs bronze because u wont win vs higher elo u do know that right
: But... I -have- lost games due to people going into blind rages and, whether intentionally or unintentionally, feeding the enemy team. I -have- lost games due to two members of my team deciding it would be more fun to troll a third than to play the game. I -have- lost games because once a toxic player is raging they cease any form of logical thought, and thereby ruin their chances of performing well.
Huh ? you only lost those games because of your inability to carry, Looked you up, not trying to flame just pointing out obvious.
: It really is. Spamming pings, emotes, raging, rage quitting and inting all come from the same mindset, performed by the same players. Now: Is cussing out someone occasionally (then dropping it), making rude remarks, being sarcastic, etc hampering your abilities to play? No. But when people talk about Toxic Players, they tend not to mean we assholes.
Lets say even if it is, your games that you have played not one you lost is because of a toxic player, is that easier to understand ?
: Yes... it does. Having an inter on your team REALLY hampers your ability to climb. Having someone on your team who's end goal for the game isn't a victory, but to make his teammates have a bad time, does dampen your abilities.
Huh ? Being toxic is not the same thing as inting.
: You asked why Toxicity was bad, and I told you. The concept that: "Well they probably have MORE toxic players, statistically speaking." Does nothing to make Toxicity is okay, acceptable, or should even be allowed. In fact it's the opposite.
I stated that because you view it as a negative thing. I don't, and my point stands, toxicity has no effect on your ability to climb or win the games
: Games are supposed go be fun, and having a 13yo ranting and raving at you all game destroys that for everyone. Not only that, but once players stop having fun they stop trying as hard to win, because now all they want is away from the toxic player. Even if it means catching a loss. You CAN ignore them, but most of them proceed to Int, run down the lane, sell all their items, etc once they figure out they are being ignored. In a negative form of demanding attention. Like an ignored child.
I'm sorry but your comment is kinda ironic, you ignored my post, You stated "Not only that, but once players stop having fun they stop trying as hard to win, because now all they want is away from the toxic player. Even if it means catching a loss." This comment is a flaw, and saying this comment in a match making system is illogical. In theory the enemy will have more toxic players then your team. To add on to this, if you are a good player you'd win even if ur team is THAT bad. It's how match making works
