You are not supposed to push farm under his tower for free last hitting. Except by zoning him and pulling slight aggro by doing so, and you last hitting and him not, the wave will get pushed to his tower constantly
: Ok, we need to stop pretending Nasus is balanced
None of those people do anything but zone him, which means he just waits for the lane to push and then farms under tower anyway, and can farm reasonably well with his lifesteal and pots+cloth. They can't 100-0 Nasus instantly unless they build damage, which means once nasus gets some low level tank items and a sheen, nasus wins trades and starts zoning the other guy until the end of laning.
: Ok, we need to stop pretending Nasus is balanced
But that's my point, he ISN'T easy to stop. His sustain makes it IMPOSSIBLE to stop him.
: The reason he gets to his late easily is his infinite fucking sustain. Oh, I'm at fucking 100 HP and am supposed to be pushed out of lane? Go and fuck yourself, let me sustain myself up under turret, completely negating all of your poke and all of the mana you wasted.

Go and fuck yourself, let me sustain myself up under turret, completely negating all of your poke and all of the mana you wasted. This. A thousand times this. His sustain has got to go. I'm ok with his Q proc'ing sheen and all its variants, but there's no reason why it should proc lifesteal > [{quoted}](name=Jelly Mac,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=EAEfHdJW,comment-id=00090000,timestamp=2015-05-17T22:21:51.085+0000) > > You're not supposed to shove him under turret. That's what he wants you to do, idiot. All you are doing is giving him safe stacks and exposing yourself to ganks. The only way to not have him ever be under turret is if you let him farm, which means you might as well not even bother playing as he'll steamroll your team. Otherwise, denying him cs as much as possible and zoning him as much as possible means your lane will push, which means he'll be under tower, which means the above comment happens: "fuck yourself, Ima heal up under tower"
: Ok, we need to stop pretending Nasus is balanced
I've played every supposed counter to nasus and all I end up doing is making him wait for his CS under tower. I can't harass him without losing the trade because of minion aggro. I can't prevent him from getting CS because he'll just walk up and smack the CS and then walk away while I pull minion aggro. If I do actually manage to zone him it means I push the lane which means he then gets jungle help and then I have to fall back and he happily farms under tower. There is no way to "shut him down," counter pick or not.

All it took was one game and reading patch notes to see that the problem still exists, so it is valid

: "I'm a toxic player but it's Riot's fault"
What you need to do is stop thinking ranked is a fair or even relevant system. It's nothing more than normals with a overarching score attached. Once you make peace with that, you stop caring about losing and you stop caring about this game.

I would absolutely love to see this in game. Too bad it won't ever happen.
: @Riot: So what exactly is the point of playing ranked?
Well your options are casual or casual with a score. There is no competitive solo mode in League right now. That's the main point I was trying to make with this post.
: @Riot: So what exactly is the point of playing ranked?
That's true, but judging that rage and whatnot is a much harder thing to have a system automatically take care of. These criteria may not be the best thing for League, but my point is that we absolutely have to separate normals from ranked. There is currently zero reason to play one over the other right now

No point besides e peen. > CS:GO has an actual competitive scene, due in large part to a strict no tolerance policy for "goofy" behavior. Spawn kill? Automatically kicked out of the game. Too much damage to teammates? Kicked out of the game. If you leave the game for any reason, whether it be getting kicked, voted off, internet troubles, ragequitting, whatever, you're banned from competitive matchmaking. Straight from the FAQ for CS:GO, "A matchmaking ban will be issued regardless of whether or not an infraction was intentional." It starts at a half hour ban, then 2 hours, then 24 hours, then 7 days. These aren't "you can't play CS for this time period" bans, these only prevent a player from entering into competitive. The end result? Competitive is actually the try-hard mode. People who want to goof off and not try their best, they eventually get filtered out of the system, so the only people who are left are those sportsmanlike players. Because at times real life does happen? This system seems a bit harsh.
> [{quoted}](name=Jamaree,realm=NA,application-id=cIfEodbz,discussion-id=1ooYej3e,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2015-02-07T10:25:33.955+0000) > > > Because at times real life does happen? This system seems a bit harsh. Of course it does, but that's why its not a permanent thing. If something comes up and you're a responsible sportsmanlike player, you get a half hour ban. No big deal, go deal with whatever came up and you'll be able to play next time you're available. But if you're a "toxic" player, you'll eventually get to the point where you're almost entirely banned from **just the ranked system** until you improve your behavior. It might seem harsh, but without strict rules and a zero tolerance policy, an open competitive format has no chance in an online game, especially in one as popular as League

I agree, I don't want 400+ resists being impossible to deal with, but why is a 2300 gold item core on any damage dealer and gold efficient throughout the entire game?

: Fizz is singlehandedly the most infuriating champion in this game. He is the definition of toxic.
I'm fully aware he does. He's not stupid OP, he's just absolutely maddening to play against. His ultra-low CD untargetability can be played around, it's just really really hard to do, and if you make the slightest mistake (miss a CC when he lands for example) you die. He's so forgiving of the person playing him and incredibly UNforgiving to play against

: In the preseason changes, the design team decided to make defensive items a little easier to build by making Chain Vest build out of two Cloth Armors. For magic resistance items, Null-Magic Mantle's cost and MR were changed, and Negatron Cloak was removed entirely. Can we have a bit of insight about why the changes were different for armor and magic resistance items? (Or: Why was Negatron Cloak removed instead of making it build out of Null-Magic Mantle + X gold?)

Can we have a bit of insight about why the changes were different for armor and magic resistance items? (Or: Why was Negatron Cloak removed instead of making it build out of Null-Magic Mantle + X gold?) I am also curious about this. I'll add a +1 also to people complaining about MR itemization being lackluster. One thing I don't like about the null-magic change was that it's now no longer a starter item. I'm sure a lot of people didn't notice it, and I didn't until I was laning against a mage as Lee vs a fairly magic-heavy team, but because of the 100g increase, you can no longer start null-magic+2 pots. Nothing super serious I suppose, but still. My question though is what is going on with runes? There was talk of finally trying to fix runes and after the armor yellow changes, Riot just kinda forgot about the whole thing. Are we just being left in the dust when it comes to that now? I know the focus is on the new jungle and whatnot, but the rune rework is feeling like another empty promise.
: We need to have a talk about Grievious Wounds
That would work too, but I don't know when Riot would ever get around to toning down those numbers, especially on champs as old as Swain.
: We need to have a talk about Grievious Wounds
I'm all for that, but there needs to be counter play. This is turning into the Morg season 2 100% pick/ban rate right now for one simple reason: flash into enemy team, ult, zhonyas. While a good swain will wait so he can heal off the zhonyas or vlad using it when W is on CD or something, it's proving to be a hassle. Again, the amount of sustained damage they don requires stacking insane amount of MR to not get shredded, which means AD will tear you apart/you have no damage to fight back

At this point, players don't even expect a replay system to work on old patches, we just want *something*! Exactly, this would not be hard to do. Or at least implement something that gives us the option to save them locally, like SC1/2/Heroes of the Storm/CS:GO. The people who care enough to save every game to review mistakes aren't going to be playing on toasters, and for the people who are, even if it takes them a while to do so, I think they'd like the ability to save the pentakills, the outplays, whatever. It doesn't have to be every game automatically saved in the cloud.

: Why are Yasuo and Akali allowed to rebound so hard?
> Yasuo is such a joke that one stun/root/silence and he is dead. Yes even a silence, because his AAs don't do anything, it's his Q the only form of damage he has. I had no idea that 90% crit chance with 225% crit damage classifies as "not doing anything" > Assassins are damage, damage and more damage. They build damage. If you're ahead and tanky, they can do nothing to you. But if you're squishy, then you just have to kill them before they can take you. > > Fizz, Akali, Yasuo, LeBlanc, Annie - if they all build full damage, they'll be able to rebound off of a lost lane. Yeah I know that they do, but I'm asking why Yasuo and Akali specifically are allowed to rebound so fucking hard. I'm talking one double kill bot lane and then boom, next thing you know they're 20 kills ahead and full build. It happens without fail. Every time they are in a game they will snowball out of control from a single roam, because they scale so well off so few items
: Why are Yasuo and Akali allowed to rebound so hard?
It takes him as long to get a shiv to be a threat again, and since he usually goes gloves first into an avarice, it doesn't take long
