: Champion Concept: Tharrik, the Beast Within
Hello fellow concept creator. 1) I feel like this passive will not work, here’s why: - If the buffs stack he would clear jungle in NO time and have a massive leas on everyone in the game. - If the buffs don’t stack you have to come up with a super complex and optimal clear path to maximize your power, in some comps this just doesn’t work. Q: Don’t do this Tilting Zone, you already slowed the enemies hit, why would you create a zone afterwards? W: EH? E: This has no feel in his kit, when did he get the ability to absorb spirits? It doesn’t make much sense. R: Late game these scalings wouldn’t even fit in the catalog. You’ll be killing camps in no time and et free bonus damage for it. At least kindred has to go out of her way to slay marked targets. Overall I don’t see a single ability that could potentially enhance his clear apeed, which with poor use of this passive and W could lead to him absolutely sucking early-mid game. He has no engage? Even Udyr has some kind of speed up but this champion would need some obscure pathing to get around the enemy to gank? {{sticker:sg-ahri-1}}
: Couple things: - You probably meant to say "Enemies in the trail are *revealed*, not given true sight. True sight is the ability to see stealthed units...you don't want the enemies to see your poor shaco...right? :P - Can enemies destroy your farms by trampling them, like they can with Zyra passive and bard shrines? I know you're investing gold into these farms, but there should probably be some form of enemy counterplay if you get pushed off your farmlands. By far the neatest idea to toy with is the thought of them being able to steal your harvest and loot one of these consumables for themselves if they "trample" a fully grown crop. Other than that, this is one of the cleanest concepts on these boards. Good stuff.

Tankiness. 3. hard CC(or if you can soft cc chain, fine). 4. Heal/shield. Delphine, however, only has healing and shielding (slow is a soft cc), and it is safe to assume she has little to no damage since her only damaging spell is her w, but it can't have too much damage since it is a cc spell. Her e also should be simplier, as having complicated spells is frustrating for both your allies and enemies (ex. ivern's passive). I checked your other posts, I think your concepts are getting better and better!! Keep up the good work
Tankiness isn’t really a criteria that had to be met, neither does Heal/Shield. I agree with you on the damage, she has practically none.

Hello fellow concept creator. I am unaware of the exact workings of her ultimate but it would feel kind of trippy gameplay wise. You see, her passive is linked? Or boy I am not sure but it’s just that consumables rarely ever make it past the 20 minutes mark and become kind of useless it has some niche buffs like Wrath. Secondly, Flowering Faith feels REALLY out of place for me, it takes me away from this Tea Mage and returns it yo something lesser, I like the Tea concept so I’d get rid of the W completely. Thirdly, 5% is SUPER weak and barely noticeable. I advise you to put a scaling per rank on it. Somewhere from 20-45%. She represents the force of Piltover and with her choice of colours she provides a bridge between two nations, because who is going to ignore an international superhero that fends off the Void for you? I feel like this would be a similar design to Zac considering the Protective *Globs* ability. But I don't think that, unless you can make it work, his E *Deteriorate* is thematically correct. What I suggest before creating a kit is slapping an identity on that bad boy, give him a backstory, a trivia, lets us know who he is and what he has gone through, new abilities and ideas will surface almost instantly I assure you :) {{sticker:galio-happy}}

: Hence why I lowered it to 4 options and got rid of the crests. It'd be kinda like ghost poro trading out trinket. Positioning is already possible with his current kit, the only thing this changed was timing; time to fish and set up, possibility to be cancelled, and limited time to use(temporarily as in like 5-10 seconds). So it was kind of balanced out in my opinion. It offered either restoration, escape, or vision control, but only 1 at a time. I just thought having a 50/50 chance to get what you want with a 90-45s cooldown would be kind of frustrating? Fair enough, I was just trying to go for a real "fishing" mechanic. So similar to Thresh hook but instead of mini pulls and then pulling you to them, it activates the mini pulls on reactivation and you stay where you are. Thresh hook is pretty close to fishing if you discount the reactivate pull. And some champions have you just spamming buttons anyway, like Cass once you poison someone. Or anybody in URF. How is fishing **back** a tidal wave different from fishing out a tidal wave? It was just a current of water and the water has to come from somewhere either way. I thought it added to the fishing concept, since you literally had to fish for it. Overall the concept is still good. Just things I would've changed to dive into the fishing theme a little more and make it more interactive. But I guess I'm kind of biased towards high skill cap champions with lots of potential counter-play against them. {{sticker:sg-zephyr}}
The fact that you can't always have the same options it the very reason you can only cycle through 3 out of the 6 provided. It balances it in a better way and makes it so you can't just spam red buffs on your laner, you have to do with the options you are granted forcing to to play more strategically and think out ways to use the lesser buffs as well. Fishing out a tidal wave doesn't sound very good now does it? Usually I fish things toward me I don't fish fish back into the water unless I am fishing for fun. Otherwise I usually keep them in my bucket :') {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}
: With his theme and everything I think some changes could be instituted. Such as: Make the passive more impactful by allowing scuttle/honeyfruit/scry/exploding(add in last plant to make it seem complete) to be in your trinket slot temporarily overriding your trinket. Adds a SURPRISING amount of utility, even with such a long cooldown.(which I'd lower to a base 60, and max 30 seconds) Scry plant works in same fashion. Honeyfruit tosses out fruit nearby. Exploding places the fish(plant) close by ready for an attack to pop everyone away. Scuttle: works like normal scuttle but dashes 400 units in a chosen direction before submerging for 45 seconds. And I'd probably remove blue/red buffs. As honefruit provides mana+health. Letting it become an active effect allows for more utility and potential plays. Depending on what you fish up. I'd have it start randomly and cycle through items a little slower than TF, with all 4 choices. Making it feel more like fishing for what you want. And canceling (putting on a 10s cooldown) if someone walks over the pool. Description would be condensed down of course. This gives him + ally: Sustain. Vision. Enemy vision denial. Escape. But only 1 at a time. And scaring the fish away really adds to the fishing feel. Q: I'd implement a Q mash to reel them in. Every 10 Q's causes a small pull back, and puts "reel back" on a 0.5s cooldown". Or something. To make sure programmed insta clicks can't break it... Or just a 0.1s cooldown between clicks. Adds a real "I need to catch this champion" feel. I'd change W E and R to interact with Q allowing for outplays and counterplays. So Q gets a 50% cd and mana refund if it hits an ability, and each Q mash brings said ability closer. Just a way to really push him having a new mechanic. Though that's still questionable, as it might make him too reliant on Q. And that would make him need a movement ability to utilize his hook better. So maybe change E to be a tide that rushes forward from behind him(granting movespeed) and reeling back in brings a small tidal wave back towards him.
Okay so I already did attempt to have it override the trinket slot, however, according to some highly respected people among the boards that would give his kit way too much utility, being able to choose what and where everything goes especially the Crests can be a huge deal. His kit is more or less based around being this Legendary Fisher and the kit itself has a huge amount of CC, Displacement and Sustain. Being able to choose where your buffs go and where the blooms go is, especially in the hands of a pro player, can alone win you the game. The Q Mash was a thing I tried but it would make it feel really clunky and hard to deal with. The cost refunding is pretty useless as Tamajaki does not use mana. The problem with the tidal wave and stuff is that it takes away the theme of being a legendary fisher and goes back to what I had originally which was this water mage kind of stuff and it was really bad honestly.

Hello there Lad, Just a note. Like Void said it isn't bad conceptually bad but I don't feel "cute doll girl" with this kit, thematically (for me) it feels off and a bit weird. From the kit I wouldn't be able to say that, I would probably say Shadow Mage or Assassin. I think maybe you should incorporate something that would give me the idea of, okay so this doll was blessed by the moon. Maybe some connection to Diana? Diana is in search of the remaining Lunari, maybe she infused the doll as a vision tool or something. {{sticker:galio-happy}}

: My own personal reasoning for making her kit more "basic" is simply because this game lacks more basic kits that still allow means of counterplay. For instance she has a targeted dash and she auto attack relient, however her E allows for a bit of skill expression as it's a conic area of effect with a noticeable delay that allows opponents to outplay her and avoid that hefty stun. Likewise it allows Saphira players to make flashy flash E plays with the abilities second cast. I took what you said into consideration though and added a brief description of her abilities that should allow readers to get a grasp of her abilities before getting into the more detailed variation of them.
Sorry but reuploading and giving it a new name won't get rid of bad comments. All Void and I were trying to do was help you balance out this kit. Also Mr Voidling is right, there is nothing simple about this kit, the effects are very clunky and the mixed damages make it really confusing. Pros: I really like the lore I am not gonna lie it's in depth and it seems like you put a lot of effort into it. I think her base stats are really well balanced, it's not often that you see those balanced. props on the idea. Cons: Passive) There are still 2 passives I'm going to say it again, this damage is way too much. You're basically giving her a free Electrocute with AP Scaling here. Imagine auto-attacking with free massive damage on 4th that also procs lich bane? What the fuck? Again, bonuses for "playing the game". Q) Why does she do damage to enemies along the way? It's clunky and completely unnecessary because you're supposed to be a duelist. W) Come on please? If you use this on your 4th attack you will melt through anything dumb enough to stand in your way, laning against this would be hell. You stack your passive, Thrust and then into Assailment and you basically win lane as long as you have a liable source of mana. But you don't need any because all you have to do is auto attack. E) What are these damages? At least Jax barely does any damage with Counter Strike but this ability just punishes the enemy for literally trying to trade with you. At least Jax gives a window where he barely does damage so tat you at least have a chance but this is just too much. R) Again, super random and this might make sense lore wise, but not kit wise. The shield is still extremely massive and it doesn't make sense in the kit of a duelist. The whole kit doesn't make sense damage wise, especially considering the scalings and the fact that you can build her AD and AP and still win every game. You should really consider taking these Cons and fixing them. If you need any help I am fine to help you but taking the post down and reuploading it with a different way with some minor changes to the statistics won't help you from things like these. Hello there, A few notes for you. (Don’t take it to personally please) 1) I don’t really look at the abilities and look “Oh this someone who works with books.” I see something like a Runic Witch, not a Librarian. 2) Her abilities aren’t exactly soft hitters either. The damage on her Q and E deal a ton of damage. 3) In no way should she be given more CC honestly this R is enough for her to work with, otherwise she’d be overloaded. 4) A combo that deals 1.400+200 damage can probably one shot most squishies, this is why I don’t approve of it. Even though a Fiddle can do more with an ult, it is still a large part of his damage, he doesn’t really have combo potential without his other abilities. 5) If you can hit her ult you can hit her other abilities, effectively making it impossible to outplay a combo like that. 6) There have been a lot of attempts to use this kind of R, me included, but because there is no escape possible unless you flash and use another ability maybe. 7) Also note that Vel’Koz was made as a heavy damage mid laner and Fiddle sticks as well. Comparing a High damage midlaner with a utility based support doesn’t really work. 8) It’s a nice concept but I think maybe you should turn it more ‘Librarian’ like than Runic Witch. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}}

Then I think this champion would be more fitting for a high damage and super gankable mage that scales into the mid game.

Hello there, A few notes, This champion is solely based on over time damage, while this would be exceptional for long lasting team fights and zoning I don’t think he’d be very strong in solo lanes. Maybe a totem that fires something at nearby enemy champions, much like Heimer’s turrets. It would give him more zoning potential and would place him in the role of an area control support. This way he could dominate the laning phase and although he weakens by late game his carry will be fed enough to keep up for him. Greetings, A few notes, Thematically I think this is really awkward, I see this as a baby who likes being near turrets and inspires pthers to defend him. Even though he is supposed to be someone who defends others. Passive) This is basically a worse copy of Heimerdinger’s (old) secret passive where he repairs allied turrets slowly and passively. Q) I don’t think this is very useful especially because it doesn’t do anything other than a short ranged teleport? W) This is really random and I feel that it’s really off in his kit. Why would he have an ability like this? E) I think this is a nice buff but I still think it feels thematically really off. R) First of all, twice turret range would be really crewpy as it alters the gameplay a lot. Secondly, turrets already reveal invisible targets like Teemo passively. This is basically an ultimate version of the removed Summoner Spell called Fortify. Fortify: Grants Invincibility to all allied turrets and causes them to attack 100% faster for 7 seconds. While Fortify is ready to cast, you deal 9 bonus damage to minions. But I like the idea of this repair Yordle, so i think with a little revising of his abilities you can work it out. E - I agree, damage is way to high. It needs to be toned down. R - I dont agree, Target will explode after 0.5 sec after cast. And there would be indicator of casting. Thats plenty of time to dodge that explosion. And to do max damage target needs to be realy low on health. In worst scenarion target will die before ulti take place and you are on CD without any effect.

Q - W - E - R For a support these damage scalings are absolutely off the charts, they deal immense amounts of damage and the AP% aren’t helping with it. I’d advise you turn down those damage amounts. W - Fiery Jump This stun duration is way too long honestly, Ashe’s Crystal Arrow Ultimate stuns for 1-3.5 seconds depending on the time traveled. No :') it only changes the first debuff inflicted on him after a certain amount of time. So depending on who casts the debuff first will it change. If Nasus uses Wither first that effect will get reversed. If Zilean uses his slow first, that will get reversed.
: Hi there! Thank you for your time and opinion. Yeah since this is merely a concept, I agree the spells could be thought of a bit more. However, about Bard, how can he be compared to Superman? He's so different from the superheroes we all know : looks and abilities included. Don't you think there could be a very cool champion who seems to come out from a Marvel or DC Comic? He can fly, he punches hard (no weapon), super strenght, super speed, super agility and people can relate him/her to their favorite superhero.
Bard is actually considered to be the guardian of all of Runeterra, much like Superman being the guardian of Earth.

Hello, Fellow Concept creator. Just a few notes. The spell name "Ricochet" Is already in use (See Sivir). The reason that there is no spell crit is that you can get a large amount of AP anyways so there is no need for a crit feature, imagine going up against a Spell Crit {{champion:142}}. That would be no fun :( Q: -Since it's {{champion:76}}'s spear width it would be very hard to hit. -I'd say don't let it pass through units other than enemy champions since a good Phylix player can easily cast his Q around minions. I have to note that Varus is from Ionia and is looking for the people who sealed him away [Part of his lore]. - Maybe he traced them to wherever he is now is good but Ionia is an Island. : Idk how she would ever get 600 AP because she is a support. I see her resting more closely and being generous at 400 AP with two heal shield items. Giving her still a good shield but only 45% tenacity. The shield would still be below 700. The W buff is only for her. Not the ally if that is what you thought.
Still I think that that tenacity buff is very, very strong. And you know that champions are played in many weird ways like AP Blitzcrank, AD Soraka and AP Karma. This shield together with Locket of the Iron Solari and the enemy having Shield Bash can probably reach humungous amounts of shielding. This Tenacity buff would be similar to {{champion:86}} W "Courage" That gives him 60% Tencity for 0.75 seconds. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}}
