: There's a difference between **picking someone aside from who you're thinking of in a single lane** against **a guy picking a role, ditches it & fulfills another person's role instead**. Besides, who would actually report someone for picking Galio mid if he either wasn't intentionally feeding or wasn't ditching the lane just to farm his own jungler's camp? The example you've placed up there is asking as if out of meta champions is bannable, such as picking Tank Karma top instead of Yasuo top, and the case is definitely no. If someone were to pick a Zed Support & stays bot the whole time, he fulfills a few things: 1) Range pokes. 2) Shares gold & exp with support item. 3) Shares an even lane pressure against the enemy bot lane. However, if he were to pick Zed Support & starts ditching bot lane and runs around the ally & enemy jungle, he's making things worse: 1) He's stealing experience from his own jungler. 2) His ADC has 0 lane pressure & lack of gold gains (_of course, he would feel like shit for straight 10 minutes of the game_). 3) This is a typical "role stealing" as he's doing exactly what a jungler would.
Roles aren't locked to one lane, so when you pick support who said you were supporting the guy bot who just happened to be a marksman. Maybe i want to go support the guy in top who just happens to be a tank because he struggles a lot.

: It's "point-and-click" because it has no projectile that can be dodged. Once you hit R onto a champ, his ult will go through, just like Syndra R, Diana R, and Morde R. The skillful aspect of it comes with positioning, and which direction you kick said champion. You turn your enemy into a projectile that will deal damage to any other enemy the come into contact with.

: Youre seeing it through rose colored lenses. In a perfect world, I agree with you. Thats how it SHOULD be. But Season 5 was far from perfect. Youre talking about the Sated Devourer meta where Kayle and Jax hit hypercarry levels of strength with 2 items, and Warwick was pick or ban. Then we saw the Cinderhulk meta - if you picked an early game champion like Lee Sin or Jarvan, you better be at least 5/0 before midgame or youll be outscaled by Sejuani. You didnt have to go even in lane, just survive it until you get 3,000 gold - play Maokai, Sejuani, Nautilus, or Hecarim (take smite, get Cinderhulk with redsmite, proceed to 1v1 any carry for the rest of the game). Youre talking about when the lategame hypercarry "5.0 AS Kogmaw" hit his powerspike with 2 cheap on-hit items (WIts End and Guinsoos). Season 5 was about gold efficiency. A gold lead doesnt mean much if your opponent can match your power with cheaper items, and thats exactly what Sated Devourer, Cinderhulk, and Guinsoos allowed the meta picks to do. That isnt balance. That just means that if you arent playing a champ that can abuse broken items, you either need a gigantic lead or youll be outscaled by a 0/3 Kogmaw who finished 2 items.
