: The Mute / Block!
5 years later, and this is still a huge problem. It's ridiculous.
: Add mute options to post-game lobby
Post-game lobby is the worst. You mute people at 5:00 because they're playing the blame game, and then you get a nice break, and then they flood you with a bunch of their shitty attitude if you leave the post-game window open for more than two seconds. It's ridiculous that Riot hasn't fixed this. It's a terrible experience. And it happens 80% of the time that you mute someone in-game. Like seriously, Riot, if I mute someone, they're dead to me, and I don't want to hear anything they have to say, ever. I know it's hard to make different databases sync up or whatever, but you have millions of dollars and it's an awful, terrible, no-good experience. Just the anticipation in between the nexus explosion and the post-game lobby is bad enough, knowing that this still isn't fixed after years of it being a problem.

Christianity has enough blood on its hands that it could go either way. The dark ages is all on them. I think the lore they wrote set up a huge storytelling problem that they haven't been able to solve yet. Maybe they have 14 drafts and a half-finished comic, but we can't really know.
: I don't think {{champion:89}}'s zealous nature is that blown out of proportion considering her upbringing in the Rakkor and the Solari. To the Solari the Lunari could be much more than simple heretics, we are talking about a history between to 2 religions where one **purposefully** chose to snuff the other out of existence. The Solari were not opposed to the views of the Lunari, their were opposed to _their existence_, imagine the ways in which the elders would have manipulated the Solari to cover up this dark past and slander the Lunari. I think Riot has laid the ground work for interesting stories with Leona and Diana to unravel the bad blood between the 2 factions, or worsen it.

I think Riot has laid the ground work for interesting stories with Leona and Diana to unravel the bad blood between the 2 factions, or worsen it. They didn't have to completely axe Leona's original lore, though. Clearly Leona 1.0 was of an entirely different disposition. Possibly naive in younger years, but very idealistic and driven. If we pause the lore at Diana's release, we have a lot of tension and possibilities that could have been explored. Let's say Leona was, say, 15 or so around the time the Sun decided to wake up and take a direct interest in the affairs of mortals. This god's first act after being asleep for X generations was to take the side of a young idealistic rebel and pacifist against the very cult that supposedly worshiped the Sun itself. So what happens when a sect is forced - due to a miracle - to acknowledge an Avatar who is against everything Targon and the Solari stand for? Give her the runaround, leave her in the dark? How long can they keep this up? What happens when the honeymoon is over? It's likely that Leona would initially take the Solari's account of Diana's deeds at face value, but in mere years or even sooner, I would imagine that this could lead to a crisis of faith, leaving Leona in a unique and very complicated position. That's what Leona 1.0 mains had to look forward to but never got. The lore update could still go in a similar direction eventually I guess, but 1.0 would've just about been forced to go there if it was ever going to make any sense overall. I'm just finding the Sun Vs Moon Ultimate Smackdown Hype thing really old and tiring. Even if the tension and complications were an accident, it was an accident that could've been followed through with.

: Nominating Leona for Toplane
They shouldn't ruin Support Leona. Self-procs on the passive are just about the only small change that wouldn't change Support much. If she's playing Support, she should be getting near 100% passive procs already, so self-proc use cases would be fine. Even with that being the case, they might still have to nerf her a little if they gave her that solo buff, though. Currently, if you kill the ADC and there's no roam, Leona turns into a potato. If she had self-procs, this situation would be more likely to pick up a trade kill than currently. It's pretty ugly that her whole passive locks her into Support, and that's sort of the entire point of the passive. Original champ spotlight was all like, "oh yeah, you can do top bro", but yeah..... no. She can almost jungle, but the clear speed is not quite bearable, so you need help clearing a camp or two, or something like that.

I would like to see teams be allowed to pick/ban before announcing which players are in the seats. So you could pick two mages and put Jensen in bot lane, or you could pick an old meta comp and surprise, it's Sneaky.
: Hai isn't on a team right now, so if C9 is trying to recreate 2015 Summer Split, they picked the right time to do it. Maybe they'll even trade for Meteos first so they can switch in Hai during week 6.
Isn't this going to be the first week with no remaining players from LCS debut C9 on the stage? Like wow, I can't even.

I still see Uzi and Doublelift racking up huge scores on marksmen. I don't know if the skills haven't caught up to the balance changes or what. I see "old meta" winning sort of 50-50. Maybe a bit of optimization will iron out crit. Maybe small buffs will swing it back. But mostly I see coaches benching everyone like the sky is falling. Like wow, they wanted to bench Meteos so badly that they had to bench Ssumday due to the import restrictions? I just couldn't believe it. Since you brought Joker metaphors into the mix, all I have to say is, "You nerf XYZ, no one bats an eye. You nerf crit builds, everybody loses their minds".

I think it's better if she starts at 1 and levels up to 18, so the levels are easy to interpret. An actual baby form would be hilarious. Also, with mathematical slider bars, they could model age "keyframes" where the overall geometry changes significantly and have smooth transitions in between. I'm sure it's a technical challenge, but it should be possible. Obviously this is ultimate skin territory here. I had the same idea myself and Googled, and this was the most recent thread that came up. Teen Annie has been a fan favorite for a long time, but an actual 1-18 journey (or 8-25) doesn't come up as often.

They are extremely different. RNG is certainly shared in common, but riot gives you choice between loot box AND direct purchase unlike other companies u listed. Does not mean its any better .. to explain in better detail ... what would it have hurt Riot to remove champion shards from normal loot boxes ? they would still have icons, ward skins , skin shards, & emotes ETC. They simply wouldn't have 130 + champion shards for you to get. It would not hurt their bottom dollar do to so as you would still obtain skin shards at about the same if not a bit higher of a rate ... but considering the amount of legacy skin shards in the game this is a non issue as your chance of getting something worth a damn is still horrible. If you want to know why .... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Do I really need to say more ? okay how about this ? Every 3 boxes your supposedly now guaranteed a skin shard right ? so lets use that as a basis if you open 20 boxes that's about 6 skin shards ... Okay, now how many boxes do you open a year 20 ? 30 ? 40 ? lets go the high end and say 40. so that's 12 skin shards a year. Okay, how many of those skin shards do you think are Legacy/Legendary/Ultimate. Lets be safe and say 6 are legacy or normal skins and the other 6 can be whatever lets say 3 are epic shards and 2 are Legendary shards and 1 is a Legendary / Ultimate shard. To activate 1 Legendary Skin is like what 1500-1800 OE ? ( I am basing these OE prices on skin shards I have on hand I am not sure of the price range of each shard so let me know if you know of them ) Legacy skins as far as I have seen are worth 100-200 OE ? ( Ragdoll Poppy 195 ) Normal shards as far as I have seen are worth about 200 maybe 300 OE ? ( Gangster Twitch 195 ) Epics from the one I have is 300 ? ( 270 Blood Moon Diana ) if you need 1500 + to unlock a single good skin shard you basically have to sacrafice almost all other shards gathered that entire year to acquire a single skin. 1200 from legacy / normal shards 900 from epic shards Legendary ? I am not sure of the price here. and legendary/ultimate shard. so you would essentially give up all legacy and then Still need to give up epics to acquire one shard 1500 or more OE. If your LUCKY you might unlock 2 skins in an entire year that are decent. That is not a very good system at all .... so people complained ... so what do they do ... hey pay us $$$$ for this box that allows you to get more skin shards so you don't have to deal with all this bs ! There hope I made my point more clear.
Gemstones are somewhat slimy. It used to be you had to spend, like, $1k or more worth of RP on boxes to average out the RNG to get ten (I forget the exact average, but it was over 1k). But lately, quest bundles are a lot more efficient, when those come along. But yeah, Hextech Annie worth a thousand bucks on release day, lolol. At least now you can reasonably get stones for somewhat less investment with some combination of patience, money, and quest tokens. Maybe by the time I hit 10 they'll have something I want, idk.
: I wish this was posted like a patch note with comparisons - I don't know why these chests are different/better. EDIT: Okay, don't flame me, I went and looked for myself. Skin Shard Regular: 50% Master: 70% Champ Shard Regular: 25% Master: 0%
Man, it feels like I always get stupid champ shards.......
: I'm $900 in.
: The reason they give you shards of champs you already own is because if you want to try to bother getting mastery on them you can use the shards to unlock each level, this is why I have been keeping 2 shards of every champ I don't have mastery 7 on just to spare myself the blue essence later. Now I don't you know you, or your champ mastery score, but I think its safe to say you don't have m7 on everyone and maybe you aren't interested in doing so, but that's my guess as to why they still give us shards for champs we own :)
The real reason is that they'd have to either drop half as many chests or massively raise orange essence costs to offset it. It's a really negative experience to get champ chards after a certain point, but it's hard to undo the loot tables while keeping their business plan on track. The mastery tokens are just a post-hoc thing they had to do to make champ shards sort of do something but not really.
: As a Michigan State and TSM fan, I can relate to No.6 So well....Feelsbadman
As not-a-TSM-fan, I'm afraid it won't even matter where in the top 6 they end up if they're as good as they recently appear to be. Granted, it's possible for them to go 0-2 and drop out, but in the world where they win the split, they would be too good for that this coming weekend regardless.
: 10 thoughts going into Week 9 -- "Guess we know the skin Sneaky will pick if C9 wins Worlds..."

: Don't forget {{champion:429}}. Her visuals are fittingly grotesque with her character. But yeah, the lady champs tend to fit a tight formula. I'd be interested to take a look at all the male champs and see how they vary in comparison.
Indeed, Kalista gets the award for being the only halfway-scary humanoid female in the game. There are some less-swimsuit-model-proportioned champions, and a couple somewhat older champions among them: {{champion:420}} {{champion:127}} {{champion:163}} {{champion:102}} The rest of the female humanoids are all yordles, children, or hawt chix (as far as I can remember off the top of my head). And it took YEARS before those entered the game (and they're all cool and unique in their own ways). Riven almost made the list by being sort of androgynous, but the bunny skin thing sort of threw that off a bit. Not Sexy is something they finally learned how to do after three seasons or so, starting with Shyvana. Sexy monsters: {{champion:69}} {{champion:60}} {{champion:143}} {{champion:145}} Even Human Form Elise has, like, a sexy BDSM spider lady costume, even though spiders are naturally scary. Zyra? Not all that changed by the transformation. Cass is still pretty hawt considering she got a Curse Of Unsexy while temptressing around and stealing magic stuff from the wrong dude. Kai'Sa's lore/visuals mismatch is an unsurprising slide into the old, comics-inspired "always err on the side of sexy" style of thinking. She does have a cool look, but her look is more in line with, say, a bounty hunter who intentionally innovated the void to use it as a weapon against them or something. She does not look like some monstrosity who fought her way home from hell only to be rejected by family. Some really creative, visually compelling, scary things COULD be done with transformations like these, but hawt anime lazors are the default fallback.
: Ok. Does anyone else think that Kai' Sa Reminds them of Samus Aran from Metroi? The hunting female protagonist, the suit's look, and its ability to upgrade itself. Even Kai' Sa's login theme and Super Metroid's theme sound similar.
Metroid Fusion, sort of.
: Maybe share some blame with the designer who makes her look like a high-fashion super model. Obviously, the inspiration for all these fan arts are based on the splash art-- which is a beautiful, buxom, badass space agent-type.
Yeah, it really doesn't look all that horrible and scary. Cassiopeia is also supposed to be hideous, but is still mostly hawt. The lore is written more in line with (Star Craft) Kerrigan's visuals, but the execution here is "hawt body suit void chick, 9.5/10 would bang". Kind of thematically iffy here IMO. Gut reaction isn't "omg scary hideous, would instinctively shun". It's "kewl edgy anime hawtness, want angry purple waifu nao plzkthx". Lore claims that we're supposed to experience the former.

Golden Guardians looked a lot better than an 0-4 team this week. I'm sad to see it, but the other teams earned it. I guess the league has just matured that much. It may be too late to climb to the top 6, but I'm still looking for some redemption later this season. 100T was massively underestimated by analysts, and I feel like CLG and TSM got massively overestimated because of brand name, even though CLG has been starting to look like the new Curse for the last season and a half or so. But the long game is the real test of tier list, and the end of the season may vindicate the analysts in the end. Personally, I thought 100T looked like a huge wildcard team with potential to finish the season almost anywhere in the rankings. Probably upper half, but only after seeing Week 1 do I feel comfortable ruling out the catastrophic case where they just don't work together at all and finish last. I don't expect them to finish 1st or anything, but they are a lot of fun and I plan to root for them, hopefully for the rest of the season. Bonus points for Complexity throwback in coach pr0lly, that team was also fun and (direct quote from pr0lly) "here to ruin your fantasy LCS". Please do it again but more so!

I thought about it a little more, and extra shards would still grant more control over which skins you unlock, which would hurt RP sales even if the total number of skins awarded were the same. So maybe 300-500 orange essence when you would get a champ shard would make more sense. But the total available OE would go up, and costs would have to change for future shards or something.
