(they would have to sell theirs) Yeah, had a friend explain that to me, but it seems like even if no one else is taking the champ, it still doesn't appear. Take a game i had with Varus for example. I was the only one of 8 players that took him, but i went half the game with a 1 star varus and a single copy on my bench before i finally gave up and sold him off.

: hey, you can actually FF though. Just hit escape and it's one of the options of the bottom. You leave the game, see the endgame screen as if you had been eliminated, and can jump into a new game. If you're playing with friends and want to give up and continue watching them... i suggest just selling all your units and putting a single 1 star on the field.

Im actually more irritated at the champions i get to pick from. I can't begin to tell you how many times i've selected a champ from the carousel, even one of the common ones, and then never see them in the champ buy list from that point on. I played one game today where i plucked a darius from the champ buy, intending to build him up and go for the Imperial buff, but throughout the rest of the game i NEVER saw another darius appear, even with rerolls. Meanwhile, everyone and their mother has 4 3 stars, and 3 2 stars. It's absurd how rapidly unbalanced the game gets. Also, you should allow some sort of FF for players. I'm genuinely sick and tired of having to play round after round when a very clear winner has already been decided thanks to the 3 full items and two 3 star champs one player winds up with before the 2nd carousal.
: It's played less because Riot does absolutely nothing to incentivize playing it, up to and including leaving it out of missions, and refusing to give it map-specific balancing like they're doing with ARAM. And that's been the case for years.
Actually, most missions now allow "Matchmade games" as their condition, so TT is viable for missions. I do agree tho, they need to make a decision about TT.. I doubt it's played all that often, and its chalk full of bots. I've heard people use TT for "S Chest" farming, because it's easy to get an S when bots feed the fire out of you.

You actually don't have to be in on the prank for it to be a prank. The fact that your calling out "False Advertising" is pretty sad, but since you wanna try and get all law abiding about it, allow me to point you to the Riot Terms of Service, where they clearly state "We may revise the pricing for the Game or any item associated therewith at any time." That one phrase right there gets them out of the whole "False Advertising" claim. Additionally, it is/was well known within the community that during the April fools period, Riot likes to play pranks on it's users, and there is a vast amount of information about those pranks and how they are performed on the boards. : That Birdie Bag would be god awful shit if you got a skin line like Cottontail that had 2 skins in it, versus a line like Pool Party which has like 13 in it. Those are some pretty HUGE disparities, and for something with a 5% chance of dropping, that would be a MASSIVE let down. It's hard enough to get the Birdie bag, so it would suck if you have to play the luck game again to pray that you don't get a completely shit skin line. @Riot, is there any thoughts about maybe giving some bonus OE for the skin lines with 2-3 skins to try to compensate for the huge disparity?
Wow, QQ more man. The birdie bag is a free drop. It shouldn't matter what skin line you get... it's a free drop. Granted, you have to get capsules which cost real money to GET that chance, but that shouldn't matter. Your buying the capsule for what it offers, as well as the 5% chance you'll get bonus stuff! It shouldn't matter that it's cottontail or Project skins, it's still going to be MORE then what you were going to have if a bag DIDN'T drop. "Riot, I got lucky and you gave me free stuff but its not as good as other free stuff i COULD have gotten if I had been extra lucky. I don't think that is fair. If you give me one free thing, i should have all things free..." Literally, that's what you said up there phrased a different way. Seems pretty childish to me.

I understand some of you might have been effected by this BEFORE the bug was seen, but since then, anyone who's played took the risk in their OWN hands. Riot has a little exclamation point at the top of the screen that's REALLY easy to see that shows when a bug is found. They warn you of what the bug is, what it is capable of doing. At that point right there, if you choose to play a game, then YOU make the choice to risk a consequence because of the bug. If you don't want stuff like this hitting you, Then don't play till it's fixed. They don't let bugs stand for long, you can do without a couple of hours of league if you really need to. Don't blame Riot because your the ones making the choice to go into game. Don't go on about "Spaghetti Code" and things of that sort either. These people are human, and humans make mistakes. Sometimes there are unforeseen consequences. Be thankful that Riot takes the time to warn you of a known bug AND POST A WORKAROUND FOR IT. : How to rank up in the 2017 season
I was under the impression that Riot wanted to reduce negative player behavior and toxicity. One of the biggest reasons people go nuts on each other in Blinds is the fact that you have to fight and argue for a position. It's EXTREMELY rare that a group of 5 people call out all 5 different spots unless they're a premade group to start with. The only time i ever play blinds is when im playing with a friend who doesn't have 16 champs. I mean think about it, you remove normal draft, which means that from level 1-30 you can do nothing on SR except blind pick. How is someone supposed to focus their practice on one or two positions when every game it's random chance that you'll even get one of those two spots? I understand that you guys are introducing a "Practice" kind of mode to allow a person to focus on some of their game mechanics, but that's not practicing against a real person, it's also a "Solo" kind of game mode. So lets say Normal Draft gets removed... then what? You HONESTLY think that people are going to risk the HIGHLY toxic environment of blinds in order to practice? Pfffttttt, be real. Those people will jump into ranked games with their new champs, or their new "Build idea's". And when the other players on the team see what they're doing, the flaming will start. Why will there be flaming? Because people are trying to climb their respective ladders, and they now have to deal with someone who thinks that ADC Xerath is a GREAT idea. Lets say the rest of the team grits their teeth and try to work with this "great idea"... and it turns to crap (as one would generally expect with ADC Xerath). Bottom line, it's beginning to feel like your trying to change League into a "If you aren't a premade team, your boned" kind of game. And if that's what it turns into, i know i'll wind up quitting the game, and im sure others would as well.

: I think most players when they say sandbox they don't want access to all your assets to make their own game or whatever. They just want the option to vary certain variables within the game itself such as levels, gold, cooldowns. Sometimes I think riot really over thinks simple things. Like with appearing offline option for league. Certain systems like a im messenger aren't new or unique to league but somehow you guys make it sound like you have to invent the wheel to provide what has become standard. And just to be clear I'm not saying programing isn't hard or anything just quite bluntly you guys spend a bit too much time thinking and analyzing and not enough doing sometimes.
Just wanna pop in on this, please understand this is MY opinion on this :).. "Sometimes I think riot really over thinks simple things. Like with appearing offline option for league. Certain systems like a im messenger aren't new or unique to league but somehow you guys make it sound like you have to invent the wheel to provide what has become standard" I think the whole idea of making the IM system more advanced is really pointless. The IM system in League is there just as a tool for setting up games. Riot hasn't taken the route of some other games out there where the IM system is also a place to chit chat if your bored, though they have provided private rooms chat for that purpose. If you want to play League, you'll be on league, if you want to chat, there's always skype. That being said it's best that it's as simple as it is. Either your online or your away from your computer, if your not interested in playing, then don't log into league. If you just wanna play solo, then just play solo and tell anyone who asks that you just wanna play solo.... people actually understand that. It's not Riot's responsibility to give you a way to hide from people on your friends list because you want to play and don't want them to know.

Not saying that some of those experiences aren't shared with other members of Riot, but that it's always nice to have another mind like that :) My question is simple, but will probably be supremely complex to answer. : I just don't like that they're focused on 1: 5 man groups and their impact. and 2: what seems to be exclusively Diamond+. 1: 5 man groups are not always the issue. a 4 man group can be even worse, as one person is left all by themselves on an island, and they may also be facing a group of 3 solo players and a duo. This is also unfair matchmaking. And I'll bet that the data would also show these matchups winning more often as well. 2: There are issues in low elo as well. As you go up the ladder, people get more consistently even in skill level. People may make more positioning mistakes or just plain poor choices. However, in low elo, the skill discrepancy can be HUGE even between bronze 3 and silver 5. and again from silver 5 to silver 2. With people ebing able to queue together between bronze 3 and silver 3, that opens a single game up to incredibly uneven fights that can win or lose a game just because a person cannot hold his own weight in a game due to everyone else in the game being above his individual skill level. Matchmaking needs to tighten up for fairer games.
I have to agree. I primarily queue up by myself, and it's so frustrating to wind up on a team that may have a duo or trio up against a 4 or 5 team. With most groups having some form of communication (TS, Curse, Skype, Etc.) going up against a group of 4 when you have 3 solo's and a duo can turn into a route real quick.

They said that folks all over the states might still have to deal with fluctuating pings, as well as higher then normal pings, due to the fact that they're still building their dedicated network. Add to that they mentioned the fact that they are still working on some of the major network carriers (Verizon, AT&T, etc) to get them on the same page with the dedicated communication lines for players, and you have..... : They're aiming for giving the game more goals, as well as incentives to play for more casual players. You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be.
I agree with both of you on this really. I think it's a little of both idea's. The way it seems to be explained is that Better performance = better ranking with said champion. You stated about the no demotions planned currently, and i understand your worry there, but take into consideration the losses that poor performance will incur. They might not get demoted from their tier, but it takes a bloody long time to tier up when your constantly going up and down. Think of it like moving from bronze to silver to gold, etc. If your in bronze, it's probably because you belong there. As you get better, you will climb the ranks and eventually raise your rank. Granted, there's a very real threat of LOSING rank as well, but if you play consistantly, that won't ever happen aside from the odd fluke (Several games in a row of losses due to a variety of reasons). The way they look to have this system set up is not too different then ranking up in ranked play, aside from the fact that the "Odd fluke" won't get your butt kicked down a tier. So there is still a feeling of accomplishment, and a reassurance to other players, that you got your tier in that champ because you ARE good enough to be tier X. The only thing that a lack of demotion possibilities will really effect is boosters. People will get certain champs boosted by higher ranked individuals just as easilly as they get it done in ranked play. Granted, the lack of demotion means that it won't self correct itself. But lets really be honest here, people will take all that information with a grain of salt, anyway, because every game is different. The entire system seems to be designed around giving you an idea of a persons skill with a particular champion, not to be the definitive answer to questions of skill with a particular champ.

: * If user is considered AFK through System, AFK gains triple the LP loss while teammates only lose 50% of LP for loss including a ban for 2 hours. If user is AFK within 7 days after 1st offence, 2nd offence follows a 24 hour ban and 3rd offence being 1 week. * If 7 out of the 10 player agree on one player for feeding, that user will be banned for 7 days and gain triple the LP loss, while teammates receive only lose 50% of LP instead 100%. * For example, instead of -16 LP it will be -8 LP for losing, while the Feeder/AFK would lose 60 LP if he/she was originally going to lose 20 LP. * All bans only involve Ranked. NOT NORMALS.
Wow... how harsh. Ehm, the whole system you have set up seems rather complicated to me, and probably a devil of a code to write. Intentional feeding actually pretty rare. I've been playing a little over a year now and i've only face 2 TRUE feeders in a ranked queue. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but NOT that often. 7:10 players seems fair, but rather then instaban or whatever, have it forwarded to one of the community managers to handle. Let them make the decision on whether the guy was feeding, or if he was truly just bad. A look at the chat log would easily figure that out, and if not that, watch a reply of the game for 5 minutes and it'll be apparent. As for AFK'ers, i understand that there is sometimes the unexpected emergency, I also understand that sometimes there are communications issues between Riot and your ISP, as well as your ISP and you own computer. I myself have run into an issue on 2 occasions recently where entire teams have dropped. It's actually not that common for someone to just announce "AFK *******" and then actually commit to it. Generally they sit at fountain for 60 seconds or so, then get bored and get back in the game. Bottom line, i think the current tribunal plan they have is good enough to get the job done..... but they have to open the tribunal up again, which has been stockpiling complaints or whatever it's doing.

: I dislike the Jungle Timers. I feel like they are making things just too obvious and easy now.
The information has always been there, and all you ever needed was a notebook and a pen and you'd be able to keep track of everything without much difficulty. There have been 3rd party jungle timers around for AGES that did much the same thing only digitally. I think adding the jungle timers in the way they did is the best thing they could do. The mechanics of the game are all about player v player behavior, not player v game behavior, like they said. Additionally, it's no different hitting tab and glancing at the timers at the top of the scores screen then it is glancing at the chat log, or at your little notebook, or the jungle timer on your phone. You still have to visually break yourself away from the game to see what the timers are, and at times, that could half second could mean the difference between a successful and unsuccessful gank :)

I enjoyed watching the roundtable discussion that you folks had. It brought a lot of things to light that less experienced players can definitely make use of (Myself included :D) if i was to give an opinion on what could make the video better, is perhaps a visual representation of what your talking about in some cases. For example, when talking about the damage mitigation of the new Alister Ult buff, maybe show in a side by side the difference this would make. Like one side shows Alister diving a tower, popping his skills then getting out with the previous Ult setup, and then beside it the exact same move being done with the buff. This would give folks a stronger grasp of exactly what your talking about. Just my two cents :) Great video, look forward to the next one :D

All of the proceeds go to charity. The champion who earns the most money gets a new legendary skin made for them. Anybody who donated at least $5 or at least $10 gets the skin for free.
i don't much like the main idea for this topic, but Tulare's idea definately has some real merit to it. I think it would get a lot of the community engaged on the idea, and would help out a lot of orginizations. You could even set it up so each champ has their own charity that the funds would go to. Champ A = Charity A, Champ B = Charity B, etc. This way multiple charities could benifit at once. It would also eliminate the whole "I want THIS champion to have a new skin" and would put more focus on the charities themselves vs. the champs.
: Dev Blog: Making a More Human Bot
Keep it up guys. This was a very interesting read, and it would be nice to have some bots to pit myself up against that i won't steamroll. People can say what they want, but when these bots get vamped up enough, they'd be perfect to testing strategies and builds. Nothing like an opponent with a crazy fast reaction time to practice my skill shots on.
