Congratulations, but youre wrong. Yes, if the service dies, you can no longer access the product, as its a skin for the game. If the game doesnt exist, your skin does not either. Lack of resale; an entirely different issue. It is your right as a consumer to resell a product you have purchased, including digital ones. The fact that companies dont allow you to means the legal system regarding digital goods is fucked up so far, and has nothing to do with loot boxes. Your post has literally nothing to do with my statement, that loot boxes, by definition, are not gambling. You also have some imaginary idea that theres a difference between digital and physical goods; there is not.
gam * ble verb taking a risky action in the hope of a desired result I see you're adamant in your stance so we can agree to disagree here.

: Either way, a loot box, by definition, is not gambling. You purchased a product, and received said product. The box contains, for sure, an item. The item is not cash, and the value of all possible items you can get from it is listed before hand. In general, the loot box is cheaper than anything you fould have individually purchased as well. Its a blind bag, same as any blind bag, same as any gashapon machine, same as any card pack. EA uses them to sell power, which is bad. That doesnt make the concept as a whole bad. Baning loot crates altogether would mean the $.25 toy machines at stores are illegal, pokemon cards are illegal, gumball machines are illegal, blind bags are illegal, etc.
I see you post this argument on every lootbox thread and you're just wrong. Anything you purchase from Riot you DO NOT actually own. Physically or in-game, you are leased the product digitally and it can be taken from you whenever they like. When the platform dies, when you get banned, or when you stop playing - you do not keep the product. "Suprise Products" like card packs are physical assets that can be used or resold however you like - you keep them forever and can translate to profits or return investment. A "little legend" cannot be repurposed, can be taken from you, can be deleted from the game. If you want one, you have to gamble to try for the one you like - giving you others that don't even provide enjoyment to you if you dislike them. Look at people who invest time and money into purchasing skins or champions. Plenty of them have been screwed by characters being reworked or given a VGU. The original product they purchased was taken from them. The digital loot box system is toxic and misleading, it should not exist on platforms that do not have trading, gifting, or selling services.
: Appreciated, I was just thinking about this Every role has its responsibilities, but jungle has one of... if not THE most important role for giving an advantage to winning the match : smiting drag and baron On top of this, we are expected to but are not limited to : 1. Win your lane for you (or all of you if every lane fails), ESPECIALLY if you "pick into your own counter" or "haven't played enough to know how to deal with X champ" 2. Not tax lane, but at any moments notice have to give up any or all farm for all the laners to "catch up" or "finish an item" 3. Be everywhere, at any time, for everything...god forbid I just want to farm for a moment instead of participating in your constant 1 vs 3 4. Be DPS, CC, and Tank for every gank... and still be willing let you take the kill with your single auto attack you contributed for the entire gank 5. Defend my own jungle... on my own, from the entire enemy team. It's ok, stay in your lane and get 6 more cs There is probably more, but it's just me ranting at that point. Even with all this said I love jungling, and its nice when people thank you every once in a while

Even with all this said I love jungling, and its nice when people thank you every once in a while I logged in for the first time in like 3 years to upvote this - no idea why it was downvoted at all. This is an exact description of jungling. The reality is that junglers are 2nd support and deserve the same respect you'd give to your chad Sona. Jungle is the scapegoat for any lane that loses so they can feel a little more justified for simply losing lane. You're allowed to lose, everyone should work more to stop blaming other players - especially Junglers since they have the entire map they are trying to help out while not handicapping themselves by missing farm / exp.
