: Is anyone else just not having fun?
Really don't care if its day 0 at the start of preseason, the rune changes have effectively "runed" the game. By coming up with quirky things that each rune does, it adds even more to the balance nightmare that has existed since the inception of league, and frankly is a little too progressive too quick. The ability to pick and choose your playstyle is a welcome change imo, but then Riot went beyond that and re-balanced all the trees even more... Feels less like improving a system, and is now more like starting from scratch instead. Increased complexity does not always generate the variation you hope for. Sometimes it does the opposite. I now spend more time checking the progress on my runes than I do playing the game. Great way to deduct from gameplay and make things even more micromanaged. https://media.giphy.com/media/xdbMBYMSSmmQw/giphy.gif

: What's your point? For every person not following through on their post about quitting, I'll bet there are 100 actually quitting but not making a post about it. And regardless of whether they follow through, the fact that those posts are getting increasingly common is a pretty good indicator that the game is heading in the wrong direction.
But that's just speculation. I wish that data contest they have every year would look at player/account activity. I mean, can anyone besides riot truly answer the influx or departure of players? Its not like the company is transparent enough to report their losses/gains.
: I've been in that exact situation before and definitely understand how much it sucks since it automatically counts as a loss in your series. Keep in mind that if it was the PvP.net Servers fault, then all 10 players of the game would have been dropped or experienced this particular issue. Since it appears that you were the only one, we need to look at the connection between your computer and the PvP.net Servers. This is not to say the issue is on your end, but we need to start narrowing down the root cause. In an effort to make sure this doesn't happen again, make sure to run through all of the steps in our [Connection Issues Guide](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752664)! It has a lot of steps, but they are the most common solutions to make sure you maintain a stable connection to our PvP.net Servers Let me know if you have any other questions!
On a similar note, the Chicago transfer effects are still felt. I live a few minutes away from Hillsboro, OR and seeing that beautiful ping jump to 80 is enough to make all the difference. : This is not a bug or something permanent. You are not eligible to earn Hextech rewards until you show progress towards being positive in games, not when the punishment itself ends. Since progress is not a linear line and can be different for every single player, there is no set amount of time we can share when you will be eligible again. We do have an [article that explains this much more in-depth here](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/209939463). Hope this helps alleviate some confusion!
"There is no specific timeframe for eligibility, and the length of the reform period may vary on a case by case basis. It all depends on the severity of your punishment, and on your behavior moving forward." I'm actually a little intrigued by this in regards to how riot monitors accounts. I'm not ready to believe that there are not set expirations based on restrictions given, but rather the ambiguity is to prevent players from measuring out their penalties based on the offense. Otherwise that would be ALOT of monitoring required to turn the on and off switch for rewards. Curious how you guys do it!
: What does "pursuing your dreams" mean to you?
I've got two for ya! * Pursuing my dream is satisfying ambition with free choice and motivation, reinforced by peers/family regardless of direction or consequence. * With acceptance, opportunity, loving yourself, and the desire to continuously make yourself a better person, anything is possible.

I thought the idea of it not being able to go over walls pretty interesting. Very hard to get used to consider you can cast your Q and E regardless if you are over a wall or not. I liked the concept of not having to buy boots on her. It does create some interesting choices such as investing in Movement speed runes or masteries to give her an additional boost. With her W I found her kiting potential is actually pretty great. Problem is her mobility benefit vs damage given/received tradeoff is not balanced. I like this idea: add Grievous Wounds debuff, but apply to original W. The original Miasma needs to stay, but it would be great to add a debuff to it to help her against more burstier/mobile champs.
My thoughts are that it would be thematic if they did so. Venom is supposed to cripple you, maybe not necessarily in terms of mobility but also in terms of healing/regeneration. I think there is still opportunity to explore the complexity of snakes for Cassiopeia.

: Oh, also just for clarity's sake it's worth mentioning there are a lot of other champions we're looking at as possible buff or nerf candidates in 6.10. Hotfixes involve some risk though, both on the technical side (less testing/implementation time) and the on the design side (reacting quickly off limited data and analysis). As a result we're only hotfixing the extremes, even if there are other champions, items etc that will almost certainly receive changes in the next patch.
Ive got some comments/observations on Cass if its of any interest in a separate thread. Can't say I agree with increasing the spammyness of her E. There are a lot of casting/spell placement issues she is suffering from at the moment. (Like casting beyond what her W indicator shows). http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/nkYY2Yv6-69-cassiopeia-observations
: The Q range itself was always lowered, wasn't it? It certainly can't perform its duties as a kite or harass tool anymore, and it's pretty much useless. I found the W horrible, tbh. The range lock making it so far away strips it of one of the more important uses it had: self defense. Being able to drop the pool on yourself to dissuade assassins from jumping on you was MAJORLY important to your lane phase. Currently, she cannot defend herself unless they can only close gaps by slowly walking up to her. Additionally, the inability to cast this over a wall makes her dead weight in the jungle - which is exactly where the Grounded debuff would be the most impactful! I think all the changes to this skill were a disaster. And speaking of disasters, I think the E overlooked how much she relied on the cooldown reset to survive through her laning phase. The most notiable problem with it is the utter inability to properly trade with an opponent. Even assuming you get off a gimped Q - you can only land one E unless they're going in on you (which you will lose) because they can move out of range of you before it comes back. It makes it supremely difficult to trigger Thunderlord's Decree but also just frustrating to punish opponents who make a mistake in lane and step out of line. I do agree with you on the ultimate, though. The changes on this aren't a big deal and if anything help opponents who react to your ultimate appropriately. The lowered cooldown is just to deal with the loss of the free CDR from Aspect and I don't think this change negatively (or positively tbh) impacts her overall play. It seems fine. What I do think is odd is that you have no comment on the passive? The concept of which is interesting, but the execution of which is dreadful. It seems to have been used as an excuse to slow her down considerably, and then hobble her from fixing that as a decision.

I was hoping for the R travel animation on her passive, not surfing next to walls. Also, I dislike the R in general. Rek'Sai's ult, Tahm's ult, Aurelion's air travel etc. I was really hoping for something new and innovative for her R. Hate on me if you want, that's just honestly how I feel about her.

Will there be any adjustments made to compensate for the loss of mana regeneration off of several items? The majority of the stats suggest you have to take damage. Wouldn't something like that hurt supports the most?

: You have an excellent point, and I wasn't too clear. Sometimes my thinky brain kicks in without me setting the context in my posts. All my bad :) I understand what the OP's question was, but rather than just a "maybe," I thought a more substantial answer would be more fun; trying to address some of the reasons why I think we've made the creative choices we've made and _not_ made another A New Dawn. And totally agree, the big ol battle in A New Dawn is nuts. Sharjo actually put it better than I did: > I prefer the cinematics that focus on individual champions than big battle mash up cinematics because one actually has story implications, while the other is just for funsies. Nothing wrong with fun cinematics, I just prefer the former in this case.
What if, instead of a battle sequence, League could have a season based cinematic to kick off the new year? I kind of like the idea of seeing what pre-season brings to the new year and think it could benefit new players or players coming back as opposed to trying to approach it from the narrative angle. I know this is typically done in a patch review/youtube walkthrough format but it would be cool to see a cinematic showing all the effort you guys have put in to improvements etc. (and I don't mean dev camera interviews...more along the lines of a cinematic showing warwick fight the new rift herald, etc.)

All this talk about Shurima gods Azir, Renekton, Xerath, and Cass. Can we expect any other Shuriman's to be involved such as Rammus, Skarner, Rek'sai etc.? After all, they are the champs with earthier beginnings are they not?

: Riot and bans, just my opinion
There are terms of service. There is a summoner code. If you agree to both, you agree to the consequences. As Nami stated there are several degrees of warnings in place prior to banning. If you wanted change, it would require some legal action, and the adjustment of what is defined as property, return standards, etc. Think of the valve case in Australia as an example. Good food for thought.
: I don't know why people are laughing at this, like honestly i almost had every champion, was playing from 2011, had alot of skins was really happy after achieving gold this season. but it seems I won't be getting any higher....
No laughing here. I understand it sucks losing all the champs and skins, and things you've felt you have earned over an action that can be so easily carried out. Competitive gaming for me has always generated anger, frustration, joy, sadness etc. The problem is that unlike real life, consequences in the virtual world are typically much different, and it can be difficult to understand what the consequences are or how swift they can be carried out. Don't let a video game or people you don't know ever get the best of you. There are times where you may have to decide if it is really worth the amount of effort you put into it versus the amount of enjoyment or anger you get out of it, and you will need to counterbalance it somehow. Typically, I do it by taking breaks and doing other things that don't involve being on the computer. Its a learning experience - and I would say this may be an opportunity for you to do or try something new. As people, we end up putting our effort somewhere, whether its video games, our family life, a hobby such as cooking or drawing, exercise etc. You can always channel your energy "somewhere". In the end, understanding your emotions, controlling them, and holding yourself to a higher standard in the future, will make you not just a better player, but a better person in the future.
: Some thoughts on Dynamic Queue as a true Solo Player since day 1.
I agree that Dynamic should just be the standard mode. Soloq ranked and 5 team ranked should be present. The same Top/Jungle/Mid/Bot/Support selection can be used for all I care. I miss soloq and I am tired of being treated like crap by premades or seeing premades function on their own accord instead of the actual team itself. In game behaviors such as decision making and discussion are distinct and clearly more noticeable than others realize.

Why was the alcohol removed from the glass then - is that not a picture of alcohol besides the fact it insinuates he is consuming it?
: Certain parts of the world have laws against it, with the global splash unification they have to change it
Theyll have to get rid of the liquor bottles in the back too. Globalization is not always the best answer for everything. Might as well just change him to Debonair Cho'Gath at this point. I think this a good opportunity to highlights laws aimed at harmonization based on ridiculous concepts such as advertising smoking, drinking etc. Research time!

Perhaps a better way to explain it is that most players voluntarily limit their use of the chat system to less than what would be available to a chat-restricted player. Chat restrictions do make a difference, however, because they force the player to actively consider their use of chat. All of the Rioters have to play under the restrictions so they know what it feels like.
