The knife would find some purchase in his inner thigh, leaving a wound just above the edge of his armor. He was also once again suddenly hit by several stabbing attacks on his arm, leading Heus to the conclusion that his attacks were somehow being reflected back at him.
However, this knowledge came too late, for as his opponent was moving to tackle him, an otherwise foolish move on her part, the host announced the end of the match. Should the tackle continue, he would end up on his back, unable to counterbalance the maneuver on one foot. If, on the other hand, the end of the match resulted in the bands protecting them from further attacks, Heus would silently loosen his grip and offer Costanza's weapon back to her.

Seeing her dodge under his strike, Heus knew he would not be able to keep her out of reach if he tried to move backward again, so instead he activated Bristling Defense. As Costanza came out of the roll, she would find either Heus' foot or his knee coming towards her face (depending on how tight of a roll she performed), with large thorns protruding from the armor.

The tree shuddered with the impact, but remained standing, bits of wood falling to the ground. Heus intended to take full advantage of his greater reach, so as Costanza came at him, he stepped backward and swept his new blade in a horizontal arc.

Just before he reached her location, Heus suddenly jumped to the side so as to put the tree in her line of sight, so that in order to see him she would have to either shift to the other side, or take the slower option of skirting around the tree. Should she do the former, she would be greeted by a hammer coming directly towards her face.

Heus focused the healing on his knee, and once it was restored he uprooted himself and moved to quickly close the distance between them. He could tell she was doing something but not what it was, and now that his movement was no longer inhibited, he intended to pressure her.

1. Suggestions/arguments/positions are independent of the person making them, and should be judged solely on their merits, rather than the merits of their advocate.
2. If Ekko hadn't posted in 3 weeks, the champ should be available. If Ahri hadn't posted for 2 weeks, she should get a strike. The question of gaining multiple strikes simultaneously is moot, since you would reach the 3 week cutoff before the 4 weeks required for two simultaneous strikes.
3. Based on the wording of Rule 9, it could be argued that the above only comes into play when someone looks to claim the champion in question. If we decide against that, I would recommend we update the wording to make it clear.
4. Kam, if you need help with the Compendium, I would be willing to do so.

While the hammer was not beyond Costanza's ability to wield, it was beyond her reach, since Heus would be between her and the weapon.
Having relieved his opponent of her weapon, Heus retrieved his own and gripped them both together, each facing opposite the other. However, rather than advancing on his opponent, he rooted his other foot, beginning to draw nutrients from the ground to repair his injuries. Calling on the Aspect of the Cheetah, he watched his opponent carefully, ready to quickly react if necessary.

The situation did not go quite the way Costanza had planned. As she shifted her grip, Heus rooted his foot to the ground, providing plenty of leverage for him to use his prodigious strength to resist the turning motion, and once again yank the weapon towards him. This time though, if she held onto the weapon, rather than going for her hand, he attempted to seize her by the throat.

Unfortunately for Costanza, the wide arc that would be required to move behind him while still holding the haft left Heus with time to react. Roots sprouted from his right hand at the same time they retracted from his left, and he pulled the weapon towards him, using his now free hand to grip further up the haft. This negated her advantage in leverage, meaning he could simply stop the weapon from rotating any further.

The thing about leverage is it requires the fulcrum to remain fixed. As Costanza pushed down, Heus pushed down as well, meaning the weapon simply shifted downward rather than rotating. This left Heus' other hand free to grasp the haft, and now with two hands on the weapon, he forcefully uncrossed his arms, using his enhanced strength to pull the blade towards him while pulling the haft away. If she chose not to release the weapon, she would find herself propelled sideways by it.

The forward component of the kick caused Heus leg to snap straight, but the overlapping plates of his knee guard prevented the joint from being bent further. The sideways component, however, had no such protection, and while it was not enough to dislocated his knee, it did cause a fair bit of damage.
Heus sucked in air through clenched teeth, but only partly because of his knee. Something had struck him in the chest at the same time he had hit his opponent, somehow completely bypassing his breastplate.
As Constanza pushed down on the weapon, Heus allowed it to move down, releasing his own weapon and thrusting his free hand toward her wrist, trying to grasp the one farthest up the haft.

Heus had failed to disarm her, but he had succeeded in getting her closer. As she moved to kick at him, she would find the butt of his hammer thrust toward her stomach, the strength of the Bear allowing him to do so with only one hand. Should it hit, the force would drive her back such that her kick would be deprived of it's force.

As the strike came down, Heus turned to reach over, but instead of grabbing his hammer, he caught the blade of Costanza's weapon, vines sprouting to entangle it before she pulled it away. The blade cut deep into the thinner part his gauntlet, drawing blood from the palm beneath, along with a grimace. A roar erupted as Heus called on the Aspect of the Bear, and he yanked on the weapon to try to disarm his opponent.

Heus' opponent was definitely agile, but with the Aspect of the Cheetah, so was he. As the strike came toward his elbow, Heus brought up his heavily armored gauntlet to block the strike, but with the force applied this time, it actually cut into his armor slightly, resulting in a small amount of sap sticking to the blade. Though the strike did little damage, it did have the intended result of delaying a retaliatory strike, since blocking required he release that hand's grip on his hammer and then grip it again.

What sort of help are you looking for? Kit rework? Lore? Spelling/grammar? Either way, it might be best to shift this over to the [OC Guidelines and Discussion](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/roleplaying/8JohHcfk-oc-guidelines-and-discussion) thread.
---------
Now, regarding the new lore:
Cait, Vi, and Ez are pretty much the same, maintains the core aspect of the characters. No issues there.
Jayce, I am not so sure of. I feel like they made him flawed in a way that changes his characterization, when they didn't need to. They could have made him arrogant and stuck-up but still be heroic. He barely counts now.
Orianna is now half Old-Viktor (while Viktor is now half Generic Supervillain #17). I do like that they actually incorporated the dancer aspect into her background, but she went from a robot trying to imitate a person, to a cyborg who forgot how to person.

Heus' hammer would slam into the ground as his opponent nimbly sidestepped away. Costanza's strike, however, would glance off the side of Heus' armored leg as he turned to keep her in front. It seemed that it would require more power than just a quick strike to pierce his shell. As he turned, he stepped forward again, using the rotation to swing his hammer in a horizontal arc towards her midsection.

Heus turned slightly to look up at the judge who had given the latest announcement. Based on his dress and his attitude, he was a Noxian, confirmed by the outburst from the woman across the arena. They respected nothing but strength, and Heus would have earned the respect of the few Noxians he had previously fought, had any of them survived. But he had no need for their respect, and paid no heed to the judge's words.
With the bands activating, signaling the start of the fight, Heus returned his attention to his opponent. It seemed she had opted for a slow start, so Heus would take the initiative. Lowering his stance, his form was outlined by a growling ephemeral cheetah, and with a mighty leap he charged forward. He brought his hammer down towards her, utilizing the comparable reach of his own weapon.

With a flash, Heus appeared amid the trees of the arena, his eyes taking in his next opponent. From what he had heard, her previous match ended rather quickly, so he knew little about her capabilities other than what was visible. She was strongly built, though not compared to his last opponent. Was she a bruiser, using power to overwhelm her opponents? Or did she possess speed, utilizing the reach of her weapon to make precision strikes? Time would tell.
"Ready." Heus voice rumbled from within his armor, taking up a two handed grip on his hammer.

> Perhaps, though this is as yet confirmed, the Gray Lady IS Camille and she eliminated Viktor decades prior to Weakened Heart.
Were she the Gray Lady, wouldn't there have been more of a reaction to her entering the temple? She is a public figure; wouldn't she be dogged by followers seeking her blessing? Wouldn't this line have read differently:
> "In this moment of cruel understanding, I had become his Gray Lady, a steel shadow to be feared and venerated."
Regarding concurrent champions, the standard assumption in any story is that all the events are happening in the same time period unless stated otherwise. We could draw connections between champs we know are around at the same time, such as Vi/Jinx/Cait, and with enough connections we could likely show that the majority are concurrent. I may check on that later, but it is complicated by the fact that there is still much of the lore that is of questionable canon status.
Regardless, for this specific situation, we at least know that Camille and Viktor are concurrent from the post that Kaz linked, which was written by the person who actually wrote Camille's lore. That is about as conclusive as you can get, whether you classify it as "damage control" or not.

Vi came out before all three of the champs you mentioned. Adding lines when you are creating a new champ is easy; adding lines to an existing VO is something else entirely. From what I know of how VO work general happens, the voice actors are brought on to record, then once the lines are done, they are paid and the contract is over. It's not like Riot just keeps them on hand to record more lines whenever they want.

It is indeed your OC, to do with as you please. I simply meant to point out that we don't know much in terms of details about the differences between first crystals and synthetic hex-crystals. You can certainly choose to have your character use a first crystal, but you also don't have to limit yourself based on assumptions that may or may not turn out to be accurate.

I am 97.3% sure it is not Camille, nor her grandneice. She may have been a Zaunite, but if so I suspect from the distant past, since in the story she is effectively treated as either a deity, or at least a saint.
What I am curious about is her relation to Viktor, since she is venerated by the Glorious Evolved, who I assume are disciples of Viktor. I suspect Viktor may be getting a lore revamp.

Scar was correct in his earlier assessment of his opponent's durability. Heus looked down to find several holes in his chest (his actual chest this time), but unlike the reptilian, he could not simply shrug that off.

With Scar's intent now clear, Heus only chance was to beat him to it while he still had speed. As his opponent ripped out a chunk of his armor, Heus thrust his hands forward, his fingers going into the holes left by the thorns. A mighty roar heralded the return of the ephemeral bear, and with a roar of his own Heus ripped his hands outward, intending to tear open his opponent's chest. This was quickly followed up by a pushing kick, both to try to put some distance between them, and to hopefully use the armored plates jutting up from his knee to block access to the gap at his own chest.

Fortunately for Heus, his shoulders were one of the largest and thickest parts of his armor, meaning the thorn would either be deflected by the curvature, or embed itself harmlessly.
Having seen both the dirt and his opponent taking a breath, Heus had enough forewarning to take a step back, and so Scar would be met by a swinging hammer when he stopped in front of him.

It seemed that even with the Aspect of the Cheetah, the ground violently shaking under their feet, and without his opponent using his sudden (apparently breath-limited) speed bursts, Heus just could not land a hit. He couldn't even keep his opponent grappled for more than a second or two before he broke the roots and escaped. Unless Heus could capitalize on another mistake, his only real option at this point was to endure long enough for Scar to simply bleed out.

The fact that he managed to land on his feet was impressive, but Scar would find he did not have the time to casually go find a tree to climb up. Heus, still enhanced by the cheetah, and with the benefit of roots securing each step against the tremors, turned and swept his hammer towards Scar's knee, hoping to either shatter it, or at least knock his leg out from under him.

Heus noticed the change in behavior, but had little way of knowing what his opponent was up to. It mattered little though, for as soon as he was close enough, he rooted his feet and swung his hammer downward toward Scar.
What Scar may not realize though was that this was no ordinary attack. Heus was using Seismic Strike, and whether the hammer landed on Scar or on the ground, it would send shockwaves outward that would shake the earth upon which they stood. Even the most nimble of creatures would have difficulty staying on their feet, much less make any form of precise maneuvers.

Despite his attempt to keep Heus unaware of what he had done, Scar did not seem to realize that the armor was a living thing, and thus reacts to being damaged. Sap oozed from the newly formed cuts, showing Heus just how easily his opponent could damage it. He had been caught unawares this time, but he had no plans for it to happen again. Readying his hammer, he began moving towards Scar.

Heus had switched to Aspect of the Cheetah in preparation for the moment he was able to move, and as soon as the weight was lifted he seized his hammer and threw himself forward. However, he had been expecting an attack from the massive jaws of Scar's earlier form, so the extra reach afforded by the tail meant Heus found himself tumbling unceremoniously through the underbrush, before bumping into a tree. Getting back on his feet, he took a moment to center himself and locate his opponent. It seemed he was finally able to do some damage, which was a good sign for his chances in this fight.

Heus had little intention of giving up. Neither of them were in much of a position to further assault the other, and he was fairly certain his armor could hold out long enough against the weight pressing down on him. After all, he was not the one leaking blood onto his opponent.
Even if Heus had wanted to try to crawl out, the thorns that protruded from his armor were embedded in both the ground and his opponent, keeping him pinned between them. With the roots no longer holding him, the thorns were next, and so Heus activated Bristling Defense once more to propel the thorns away from his body, deep into the soil beneath and the flesh above.

Noticing the hands shrinking, Heus glanced back to see the transformation taking place, his eyes widening in surprise. The sheer weight of his opponent forced him onto his chest, the smaller roots at his feet snapping while the larger ones began to be pulled from the ground. Heus could feel his armor straining under the pressure, feeling most of the thorns break off in his opponent's flesh, while the larger ones began to tear the wounds further. Even with his current Aspect, he could not move an inch, so instead he called on the Aspect of the Cheetah while the roots retracted from the ground.

"Roots are, like, 95% of what I do." ~~LeBlanc~~ Heus
Seriously though, the roots are kind of like a toggle. I was initially going to have them be a passive ability every time he grabbed something, but I decided he might not always want to use them. Think of them like a cat's extendable claws.
Yeah, the thorns are kinda like needles, if the larger needles were a foot long and several centimeters thick at the base. :p
And yes, even at his strongest he can't lift a T-Rex.

That's always frustrating.
Quick clarification: Heus is being pushed down just by Scar's body, right? He's not stepping on him or something?

((Remember that these are Ironwood roots, and while breaking the equivalent of metal bars may be possible with the strength levels involved, I hardly think it would be trivial.))

Scar would soon realize that trying uproot something rooted in the same ground he was standing on (and thus using for leverage) is much like trying to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps. Heus took the opportunity to grab hold of Scar's wrists, roots once again sprouting to solidify his grip, before activating Bristling Defense. With his opponent pressed against his armor, the thorns had nowhere to go but through, forcing their way between the scales.

Did he land behind him, or land in front and then move behind him?
