: The Ask Champion Compendium
1. Suggestions/arguments/positions are independent of the person making them, and should be judged solely on their merits, rather than the merits of their advocate. 2. If Ekko hadn't posted in 3 weeks, the champ should be available. If Ahri hadn't posted for 2 weeks, she should get a strike. The question of gaining multiple strikes simultaneously is moot, since you would reach the 3 week cutoff before the 4 weeks required for two simultaneous strikes. 3. Based on the wording of Rule 9, it could be argued that the above only comes into play when someone looks to claim the champion in question. If we decide against that, I would recommend we update the wording to make it clear. 4. Kam, if you need help with the Compendium, I would be willing to do so.

Seeing him letting go of his weapon, he probably wanted to punch her or go for a grapple, which meant she had to move fast. She really needed to get someone to put a thorns enchantment on her weapon after this tournament was over. The healer didn't stop pushing the shaft of her weapon down. She let her upper hand slide down to get even more leverage and as fast as possible turned it into a rotary movement with the fulcrum point being his hand-wines which held the blade. This allowed her to knock Heus' hammer aside and block both his hands. One simply because it was holding the weapon and the other because of the speed - if he went for a punch the shaft would stop it in elbow and if he went for where her hand was at first he could only grab the shaft. At the same time Constanza pushed forward and attempted to get behind Heus. In fact force enough that from this angle would easily ruin average human's knee. After firmly planting herself firmly on the ground the healer would push the bardiche down to both protect herself from further attacks and to twist the blade out of his grasp as she had massive leverage. To the hit to his knee there was also the added effect of *Pain Reflection*. Heus would suffer the same damage he'd suffer if he were to hit himself the same way onto bare body. Something had struck him in the chest at the same time he had hit his opponent, somehow completely bypassing his breastplate. No issues there. Jayce, I am not so sure of. I feel like they made him flawed in a way that changes his characterization, when they didn't need to. They could have made him arrogant and stuck-up but still be heroic. He barely counts now. Orianna is now half Old-Viktor (while Viktor is now half Generic Supervillain #17). I do like that they actually incorporated the dancer aspect into her background, but she went from a robot trying to imitate a person, to a cyborg who forgot how to person.

: (( Based on his profile pic I suppose they could. Then again, my character is the only one mostly following the laws of physics. How tall is he btw? I think you mentioned it somewhere, but I'm not looking for it )) #Arena 1 Constanza took the slower approach and waited for Heus' reaction, while carefully evaluating him. So he was a kind of shaman or a druid, which meant she'd have to be aware of other possible animal spirits acompanying him. And he was definitely fast. She quickly dodged to the side as he charged her and while he was passing her by, she brought her bardiche around and went for a quick swipe to the back of his knees before creating some distance between them again.

Costanza's strike, however, would glance off the side of Heus' armored leg as he turned to keep her in front. It seemed that it would require more power than just a quick strike to pierce his shell. As he turned, he stepped forward again, using the rotation to swing his hammer in a horizontal arc towards her midsection.

: #Arena 1 Constanza was about to enter combat when that noble addressed them. She gritted her teeth to hold it, but then turned to the judge's lodge, shouting at one of them *" SHUT YOUR TRAP, NOXIAN FILTH!!! "* She then spat in his direction, adding right afterwards *" Swine... "* She knew she probably shouldn't have done it, but it seemed she still hated the Noxians as she was taught all those years in Demacia. Although probably she hated the most people who thought so highly of themselves. The healer cracked her neck a bit before turning to Heus and focusing on their battle. Constanza took up her bardiche and started approaching the armored man. She wished she asked for more about the guy. She definitely wished to avoid the previous fight repeating. This time she'd keep her distance and let him attack first. Constanza wondered if her weapon will be of any use against his armor. Her strikes could cave in plate armor used by soldiers in the armies of both the main empires, but as it was already proven, the people gathered here are not your average warriors. For now she was calmly walking up to Heus with her weapon at the ready and if he moved, she'd try to keep him in the range of her weapon while being outside of his.

Based on his dress and his attitude, he was a Noxian, confirmed by the outburst from the woman across the arena. They respected nothing but strength, and Heus would have earned the respect of the few Noxians he had previously fought, had any of them survived. But he had no need for their respect, and paid no heed to the judge's words. With the bands activating, signaling the start of the fight, Heus returned his attention to his opponent. It seemed she had opted for a slow start, so Heus would take the initiative. Lowering his stance, his form was outlined by a growling ephemeral cheetah, and with a mighty leap he charged forward. He brought his hammer down towards her, utilizing the comparable reach of his own weapon.

With his name called once again, Heus hefted Earthenbreaker onto his shoulder and activated the band on his arm, teleporting to the arena. #Arena 1 With a flash, Heus appeared amid the trees of the arena, his eyes taking in his next opponent. From what he had heard, her previous match ended rather quickly, so he knew little about her capabilities other than what was visible. She was strongly built, though not compared to his last opponent. Was she a bruiser, using power to overwhelm her opponents? Or did she possess speed, utilizing the reach of her weapon to make precision strikes? Time would tell. "Ready." Heus voice rumbled from within his armor, taking up a two handed grip on his hammer.

Wouldn't this line have read differently: > "In this moment of cruel understanding, I had become his Gray Lady, a steel shadow to be feared and venerated." Regarding concurrent champions, the standard assumption in any story is that all the events are happening in the same time period unless stated otherwise. We could draw connections between champs we know are around at the same time, such as Vi/Jinx/Cait, and with enough connections we could likely show that the majority are concurrent. I may check on that later, but it is complicated by the fact that there is still much of the lore that is of questionable canon status. Regardless, for this specific situation, we at least know that Camille and Viktor are concurrent from the post that Kaz linked, which was written by the person who actually wrote Camille's lore. Vi came out before all three of the champs you mentioned. Adding lines when you are creating a new champ is easy; adding lines to an existing VO is something else entirely. From what I know of how VO work general happens, the voice actors are brought on to record, then once the lines are done, they are paid and the contract is over. It's not like Riot just keeps them on hand to record more lines whenever they want.

: Hey Script. > Camille's family gained most of its wealth through a rare crystal harvested from a creature native to the sands of a distant valley. These first hex-crystals, or โ€œfirst crystals,โ€ contained power normally reserved to those born with innate magical ability. Camille's Great-Great Aunt Elicia lost an arm, and nearly her life, during one such early expedition. Her sacrifice was celebrated, and it set an expectation that is still reflected in the Ferros family motto today, โ€œFor family, will I give.โ€ > > The creatures Elicia Ferros found, the Brackern, were not an unending resource, and Camille's family had to look for ways to augment the crystals they had accumulated. Utilizing certain shadow investments in chemtech and runic alchemy, the Ferros family brought to market the less powerful, but easier to procure, synthetic hex-crystals. Such power often comes with consequences, and the production of synthetic crystals is rumored to be a heavy contributor to the Zaun Gray. From Camille's lore. Chem-tech is different from hextech, as I said it was. And Brakern crystals are/were part of hextech, as I said they were. Just thought you'd want to know. At least you aren't murdering whole clans of Brakern anymore, just possibly poisoning your own people with hex-crystal production. : Heh. I think I might have picked too low-curve character for this tournament, but hey Cryypter, since Heus is also fairly underpowered in comparison, maybe we can have a decent fight if we ever get to that point. However I do have to ask Garen, are the conditions for using ~~Saber~~ Althus' ultimate arbitrary or do you actually follow the profile as it is written? Because if I understood it correctly he should be able to use his ultimate only when he acquires maximum amount of "light layers". In order to do so he has to block attacks, each giving 10% to max of 200% ("units"). That means he'd have to block 20 attacks in order to get to that point. Do I understand this correctly? If so, then how he was able to use his ultimate if he blocked properly only one attack, two at best.

It mattered little though, for as soon as he was close enough, he rooted his feet and swung his hammer downward toward Scar. What Scar may not realize though was that this was no ordinary attack. Heus was using Seismic Strike, and whether the hammer landed on Scar or on the ground, it would send shockwaves outward that would shake the earth upon which they stood. Even the most nimble of creatures would have difficulty staying on their feet, much less make any form of precise maneuvers.

Even if Heus had wanted to try to crawl out, the thorns that protruded from his armor were embedded in both the ground and his opponent, keeping him pinned between them. With the roots no longer holding him, the thorns were next, and so Heus activated Bristling Defense once more to propel the thorns away from his body, deep into the soil beneath and the flesh above.
