The presence of melody and harmony isn't, though. I highly recommend exploring actual metal. You may find that you like it even more than these commercial jingles.
I do like some metal. Like pantera for example. I really liked their cowboys from hell album and their great southern trend ill albums but not really their later stuff... I dont really dig bands like lamb of god or children of bodom.

In terms of musical theory, harmony is objective. Enjoying a melody, or enjoying a song that has more or less melody, is indeed subjective, but the post I was responding to was saying that most metal simply doesn't have any, which is a false statement. This thread is a bit like saying "I wasn't really into neo-realistic still life art before, but this stuff is great! Thanks, Taco Bell's Instagram account!"
I didnt say that most metal didn't have harmony or melody. I said that this band did it in ways most other nds don't....
: I liked [4 of 8 tracks on the first album](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/78UmxcE5-review-of-pentakill-album-smite-and-ignite) and [2 of 10 on the second](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/mgykGmh8-review-of-pentakill-album-grasp-of-the-undying). Oddly, no Rioter response on either of those. :^) I guess everyone has different ideas of "amazing" when it comes to art.
Art is subjective.
: It's such a shame that people only seem to care about K/DA when, in my opinion, Pentakill is just loads better, plus they have more than just one song. And I'm not even really a general fan of metal, but I still love Pentakill's tracks.
Yes. I've shown pentakill to my friends that don't even like metal and they love it. I think it's because even though it's heavy metal it's still melodic and harmonic in ways most metal isn't.
: I liked the first album a lot more. The styles of metal are much more varied and there's some really top notch singing. The second one is good, but not as good. Tear of the Goddess is my favorite of that one.
I did think the first one was a little better. The second one is good but I thought the Byzantine chanting was a little much lol. Great tracks though. I loved the female singer doing kayle's parts.
