What reason is there to be stressed out about? As a high school student who has to go to college soon, these things may no longer be guaranteed soon since the colleges I have applied to are not within a reasonable driving distance from my house. EDIT: Current house, with my parents.

: Took the survey. Just a side note, stress is very relative and similar to the pain scale that doctors use. What's a 10 stress for me may not be a 10 stress for you which makes it inconsistent for solid statistics. Not to mention there are lots of other factors that can affect stress levels like mental disorders, lack of sleep, current life situations, and more. It's a cool survey, but I wouldn't take the results too literally.

He says it's for a High School grad project, so I wouldn't give him any judgement for being so careless in his execution of the study.
: the only problem with the old rune system was the fact it was gated behind account level and IP cost. instead of just removing that and leaving the runes as is, the screwed the pooch with runes reforged which has lead to a balance nightmare.
At this point they could add them to the hextech crafting system. Maybe give someone a champion capsule AND a rune capsule each time they level up, which can contain 3-4 runes of random Glyphs/Marks/Seals or 1 Quintessence rune. Also put all the runes in the shop for BE, but definitely cheaper than what they used to be, something like 850 BE for each of the most expensive Quints and only like 100-200 tops for each of the others? (Holy crap I can't believe I remembered the names of the old runes!)
: is my friend delusional??
Yeah he just sounds like the typical hardstuck silver player. Not much coming from me being g4, but at least I care about objectives. Tbh I would never play w/ him one-on-one period, norms or ranked, he just sounds super toxic. Maybe if I had 2-3 other people with us, but definitely not just us 2.
Baculus (NA)
: If you're not in Diamond, then you don't have an excuse for not having comeback victories. Even heavily stomping games can turn around when it comes to objective control. And if you disagree with that, then why aren't you carrying? You can't have it both ways. But really, I think most understand that your post is about being stuck in gold for 400 games @ a 49/51 w/r rate. Am sympathetic, can't imagine what that's like.
I mean I get where you're coming from, but the idea that comebacks are possible in all of low-elo simply because these players don't know how to end the game is kind of only half-thought out. No one knows how to end, yes, but very few people know how to come back too. If a player knows how to come back, then they are probably a bit more than gold-elo material. Even then, it often takes more than one person to make a comeback, so just because one player on the team knows what they are doing, if their team can't or won't fill in for their jobs then the team probably won't make a comeback anyways.
: i knew she was inbred. Now i have proof. Riot.. see what inbreeding and reworks cause?
I mean having 6 fingers is a dominant gene as opposed to have only 5, so inbreeding would have nothing to do with it scientifically. ~~Go, scientific buzzkill skills!~~
: In my opinion Vision is bad for the game. It takes away a lot of opportunities for more exciting play. As an extreme example imagine if current Vision was DOUBLED. No mystery, no surprises, very few fights. Now Half current vision. Things get a lot more interesting.
The worst feeling an aspiring person can have is trying something risky and failing, afterwards knowing that there was nothing you could have done to make the idea better. Remove vision, and now you have a bunch of players who never want to take risk because they don't have the information they need to make a decisively active decision on whether the risk is worth it. Sure it's interesting to watch, which is what Riot wants for LC$, but playing in it is single-handedly the worst feeling IMO

: Maybe the TT bots are migrating XD
Riot's about to deal with a shitstorm if this is the case
: Probably not. But if the queue is removed while you're in it, I can imagine why it'd kick you out - If it didn't you'd either sit in there until the MMR range *finally* expanded to the point where it made possibly the most unbalanced match in League history (IF there were at least 10 people in queue), or until you gave up and left the queue. OP just had kinda shit luck. Not *really* shitty, but kinda shitty.
Well at this point he was out of queue, and into champ select. I assume he and the rest of the lobby were kicked because the servers for URF were shut down, and by proxy the lobby was deleted, sending all players back to the client.

: I remember when being Gold 5 put you in the top 30%. Back in, season 3 or 4 I think.
Before ~~the fire nation attacked~~ the massive push for competitive play, which makes a lot of sense.
: The purpose of your entire post is to say you want Twisted Treeline back, but you never explain why we need it back. You essentially say we need it "because reasons" and that there's no time to explain it, but that's a very apparent lie. > You may or may not understand why a devout few play nothing but this mode. But I can assure you, like jazz or opera you just have to be in the right conditions to experience their perfection... Understanding is often a function of time. Time which we do not have. You had the time to write 4 other paragraphs if we exclude the single one where you argue why we should keep Twisted Treeline. The first 2 paragraphs that were largely irrelevant, and the last 2 paragraphs that were just you saying that you're willing to take your advocating further. It's clear you had room for why we should keep it, so it looks like you just lack any actual arguments for it.
I mean at this point wasting time on explaining these things would result in word vomit. People have cried out so much why it should be kept, that it is essentially common knowledge to those who care. He traded the word vomit for a well-constructed introduction, which could use some brush-up at the end to be more clear, but that's beside the point. His arguing point, ie his metaphor of relating League to jazz and opera, makes for a nice new standpoint that can be added to the multitude of different reasonings as to why TT should remain. It's simply just high school essay-writing skills that seem to have gone right over your head combined with an attempt to make it not a cookie-cutter, thought-heavy Boards post that gets ignored because it has so many words.
WinDoos (EUNE)
: (unpopular opinion) Sneaky perfectly explains why NA can't compete
Now just hear me out on this... Maybe this is all true because the pros don't find the game enjoyable anymore. Even normal people stop performing well at their jobs when it gets boring and turns into something they no longer enjoy. They might enjoy the celebrity status, but they're not playing for the sake of playing, they play because that's how they stay relevant as a social figure. It's been essentially blasted through 20 megaphones lined up on the Boards that the game isn't fun anymore, and despite the "Boards will be Boards and are only a small part of the playerbase" hate, maybe the Boards are right and happen to represent a good portion of the playerbase.

: Why exactly does Riot care what people do with their rewards? Isn't part of something being a reward that you now own it and can do what you want? Not really expecting an answer here, just a mini vent because its another situation with a company determining what someone should be able to do.
I think it's more supposed to be that the jacket/backpacks are supposed to be for those who deserve it, and when they just sell the extras then they go to those who don't actually deserve them. : Probably the same thing that happened to Blitzchung. Riot is an international company, and while the individuals running the company might feel differently, they can't openly support the Hong Kong protests for legal, diplomatic reasons. They'd just as likely get in huge trouble for allowing those comments to stand without punishment. Until the UN steps up and forces China to do something about it, the acts of the Hong Kong protesters are only what China says they are. : LoL Ranked improvement idea (Trust Mode)
Dota 2 has a very similar system, which works great. I'm glad someone finally suggested that League do the same thing.
: Could be wrong, but the Phone Verification they were talking about is connected to your account. So everyone can verify their account which then puts them into Trust mode. If they AFK/Troll in 2-3 games, they get taken out of Trust mode for a couple months. That way you are guaranteed to only play with people who haven't AFK'd or Trolled in the last couple months. Personally I think its a great idea, but there isn't a reason for phone verification. It should just be part of Matchmaking, if someone AFK'd in the last 5 games, I don't want that person on my team specially in a ranked game. Matchmaking should separate people like this from the rest of the community, it would help in toxicity and it would help people climb.
You include the phone verification and limit it to 1 account per phone number, that way people can not give their smurfs a trust factor in addition to their main accounts.
: I am at a point where I do not care about the absurd damage, the absurd mobility, lack of defense...
The biggest issue is that ganking junglers tend to be better at clearing than farming junglers specifically because their successful ganks give them the stats to clear faster. I can be playing Yi and be outfarmed at 0/0/0 by a Kha'Zix at 3/0/1. He spent time ganking, so why should he be farming better than me? The biggest answer is that Lane minions are still better to farm than the jg even after the anti-funnel changes.
: Lmao, I'm starting to think this is the real answer. Don't say anything and int and it will take forever to get banned.
Pretty sure I saw a post in the past here on the Boards highlighting someone who had like over 400 games total (that or it was a duo who played together those 400 games) of inting. : Why are there so many "Riot should not focus on toxicity" threads right now??
I've always been of the mindset that making the game more enjoyable as a video game will make people generally less toxic. Another big part of the toxicity is how much Riot as pushed LoL as a competitive game, and people can get mean *really* fast in a competitive environment. You can try to censor all of the rude things that people say, but once you ban or restrict all of them they will just be mean outside of the game environment and slander the game for censoring minor things, things that others view as major. This is a problem that needs to be solved indirectly.

: Pantheon mains in all regions are quitting in droves
I really don't feel like watching 44 minutes of this. Why is the video so long? It looks like someone just snatched a massive stretch of his stream when they could have just given me 5 minutes of the important stuff. That being said, the Panth rework feels like it's staying, not because Riot is stubborn, but because the new one is a) interactive b) not brain dead c) far more skill expressive. Sure, he's still easy to play but that's because he's supposed to be an easy pickup champion. If people are leaving I'm assuming it's because they don't like how you have to actually use part of your brain when you play him, which is the only thing I can think of because he essentially plays the exact same as before: poke, initiate, retreat, repeat.

It's not a bad thing to be upset about. If we can't trust Riot with the little things, how can we trust them with other, more important things? If we can't hold Riot to their word about things they have already declared to be the truth, then they will just keep lying or going back on things for the sake of making more money in shittier and shittier ways.
: pyke. an assasin with stealth. mobility, fast heal IN COMBAT a hook, an execute, slow. stun
The things I have always wanted to see changed on him: - Narrower hook. It has a bad case of the Thresh where the physical hook is smaller than the hitbox. This would invite more skill to be placed in the skillshot. - Remove the slow on his hook. This is the reason that it's impossible to dodge his E without a dash or a blink. This invites more skill with the "aiming" mechanic of moving around after the dash but before the stun. - Revert the buffs to his gold generation. Riot wants him to be a support, then gives him the chance to come out of a solo kill with 600 gold like that makes any sense. - Reduce the amount of gray health he gets from being damaged. I'm personally fine with the "go invis and heal" thing because you just have to ward bushes and use gap close more carefully when you want to fight him. Also grievous wounds is extra good on him because he doesn't usually build Spirit Visage. His stun duration is a meh for me because by making it easier to dodge it is more risky to try and land but more rewarding for when you actually do land it.

: Master Yi is a Garbage Design Concept
I think the only part of his design that people *really* hate is the fact that he builds/gets-for-free too many on-hit effects. His Q making him untargettable adds some skill-expression to good players, who will hold it for the enemies' big abilities. Take that away and your idea of "add more skill-based things to hit kit" just goes away entirely. The same goes for his W, which he can effectively use in a fight to counter big combos that don't have any hard CC (more so early game). His E, coupled with his R and Passive, are the real toxic parts of his kit. Combining all 3 of these with {{item:3124}} {{item:3153}} are what makes him overloaded. If we want to keep his identity of "high as, high ms assassin" then there is little we can do to his kit itself without removing this identity. Instead, items that have proven to be of poor design for a long time on more champions than just Yi should be looked at. Rageblade (and by proxy Sated Devourer when they swapped passives for a while) has been problematic consistently and for essentially the same reason for a long time. If Rageblade's on-hit procker didn't exist, I think Yi would be more tolerable.
