I agree, any champion would benefit from something like this.. even just being able to reverse the champion only toggle to select only champions by default, then use the modifier key to select a minion would go a long way

: Elemental Dragons: What we're doing and why
This might've already been addressed.. but if an elemental dragon is up at 34:59, what happens at 35:00?
: I don't think she'll be that different. Just doing slightly different damage on her ult.
It's not the damage I'm concerned with.. it's the sustain and durability that worries me. Typically I'll build catalyst - RoA to deal with sustain while adding some beefiness.. now it seems I'll have to either choose one or the other, or if I want both, to delay my damage further. I don't usually build glass cannon on her and I'm very used to the build I've been using, but with every item I typically build on her being changed, it's going to take some experimenting and getting used to a very different set of health and mana amounts, especially during levels 6-10. As one of the few original 40 champions that have barely been touched since release, this is going to shake things up a bit. Note that this is not a complaint, I'm just anxious to see these changes go live so I can see for myself how it will affect my playstyle.

If you're doing that bad against player, you clearly still need to stay with bots. There's premade for what you want to do. If you want to tell other people how to play, you clearly need to stay with premade. Someone is already giving up a lot of fun just so you can play what you want and not cause a 20 minute ragefest. Not only did they give up doing all the fun stuff that you get to do, but they also have to deal with you bitching about everything they're doing wrong, when they're actually doing you a favor by just altering their pick to suit _your_ playstyle. The difference in skill between 450LP masters (aka challenger promoters) and 100LP masters is enormous, and even daring to suggest otherwise is laughable at best.
Regardless of the skill difference, from the post it looks like the OP has reached his upper limit, and needs to work on his game to improve. Blaming the queue system is just making excuses
WuMedic (NA)
: How long does it take the game to determine your skill level?
I'll second that you just need to learn more about the game. When I started playing there were only about 40 champions, it was much easier to learn the game, and it still took me months to really get comfortable with everything. I've had the advantage of being able to play with/against each champ as they were released. Jumping into the game when there are over 3 times that many is going to make things even harder, because it will take you much longer to see everything it has to offer. Worry more about how to win games and how to master champions rather than your total win/loss record. It will click eventually.
: Dynamic queue problem needs fixing
This is the exact opposite of the experience most support players have had... typically people can't get anyone to play support. I believe picking outside of your assigned role is a reportable offense, assuming there was no agreement to trade. Just report them afte the match and don't rage about it in the chat.

: When would you recommend starting ranked?
I'd say dive right in. A lot of people view ranked climbing as a goal to attain, a badge of honor to grind towards. I however view my rating as my current skill level. I don't cheese the system or abuse mechanics to win win win, I just play the way I always play and let my rank sort itself out. No benefit in artificially inflating my rating. Just play and you'll naturally climb/get better.
: We need two different queues, 1. Competitive & 2. Ranked
The people more interested in showing off individual skill in this team game are toxic to the community. They whine like crazy and blame their teammates for everything. Please, give us solo queue so I don't have any of these douche bags in my games.
: It's the normal game stats I'm pretty sure though. Although I would want this, It just wouldn't make sense in that spot.
Yea it is the normal game stats that is shown, and that's what I have a problem with.. not a big one, but it would be nice to show that I've played way more than my profile lets on. While I have 550 normal wins, I have at least 1-2000 more from the last 6 seasons. I feel once a season ends, those wins should be merged with the normal statistic, rather than tucked away behind menus that only I can see.

: Infernal Diana vs Wildfire Zyra
I don't think the op was making a case for lack of creativity or quality. Seems more like a gameplay oriented complaint where champions look too much alike to tell them apart. It's the same as some others like Soul reaper draven - Kha'zix, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head. When you attack one champ, thinking it's another in the heat of the moment, problems arise.
: I just played a match as Lucian. I went 14/5/5, and we lost. How much more carrying can I do when I have the most kills and almost the least amount of deaths in the game? I cant solo objectives if my team wont help me. I cant push alone if my team wont group. I cant defend a turret by myself. I can't think for everyone in this game.
Carrying is not just about kills getting kills, it's about using the gold you get from kills to maintain an advantage and ultimately win the game. To _win_ a game you need objectives, kills and deaths are irrelevant. What matters is using your lead to beat the enemy. It seems like you let games go on too long, when in practice you should be trying to end them once you know you can easily kill the other teams. If you really think you're the best one on the team and that you can carry, just start pinging like crazy and tell people to follow you without raging at them. The not raging at them part is pretty important, because people will either ignore you or not trust you if you have an abrasive attitude towards them.
: In the most simple terms, it's based on a hidden score that's determined through matches you've won and lost in the past, and it tries to match you against others with similar hidden scores. Don't forget there are 10 people in any given match, and so many variables that go into the way they play that any consistency is going to be impossible to achieve. Maybe someone's main champs were banned, so they had to go to less capable ones, maybe someone is distracted, maybe someone is in the zone, maybe someone's opponent is just better than they are. There's things you can't impact.. the only thing you can do is try your best regardless of what each match throws at you.
Also, if you're consistently ending matches with good scores and losing, then figure out how to exploit your lead to help carry your team in the future

: Doesn't make any sense, sorry. I'm not saying I play a perfect game, but comments like this make it sound like I'm supposed to.
Like others have said, pretty much focus on how you are doing in any given match, and make sure you're always doing your best regardless of how well or horrible your teammates are doing. There's too many variables in every match to give you specific advice. There's no magic trick to being able to carry, it's just about doing better than everyone else. Instead of looking at a loss as "this guy did or didn't do this or that" look at it like "What could I have done that would have prevented something bad from happening?" or "What did I do that helped me do so well?" Odds are you're never going to be paired with the same players in a match more than once in a while, especially if you solo, and the only thing you can control is how you react to any given situation. Edit: and to expand a bit, if you focus on your teammates, more often than not it's going to create a vicious cycle where you only see negative things happening. If anything, if you find yourself looking at others mistakes, just think of it in the frame of "What could he have done to prevent that from happening?", and keep it to yourself, and use it to improve your own play.
: "Learn to carry"
Stop blaming your teammates and focus on your own game.

: Fear of change is bullshit. What humans are afraid of is unknown. Since they don't know if its bad or good for them. Change without basis is generally q cause for unknown. But, sadly for you, and lyte. This change didn't have unknow basis. It has a known one. More exactly, other mobas tried this 5man shit in solo ranked and later restricted the premade number to at most 3. This means the 5man ranked changed provided a negative result every single time in the past. Lyte refuses to acknowledge the above fact. As such he constantly tries to persuade players to follow his vision of how games are supposed to be played. The new hextech craft premade advantage is a fresh proof of this. And the thing is. You can manipulate your clients to some degree. But after, comes a certain point that causes losses instead of gains that he aims for. Also, when you try to manipulate and fail. You alienate everyone that seen through your masquerade. For example, i won't ever buy rp. And when i get decent hardware, I'm quitting this. Not like lyte cares to keep players like me.
: Ban Etiquette
Aside from banning high priority champs that you can't trade to your teammate, it's essentially you telling someone how to play and pretty selfish to do. Definitely not in line with the Summoner's Code
: Got reported for ZERO reason
Odds are if you didn't say anything, you don't have anything to worry about
: Because not everyone wants to play with people whom are likely to rage at them when they are simply having a bad game. I prefer to play solo Q because everytime I play with someone in duo from one of my previous matches were they seen me play good, they start getting toxic if I have so much as 2 or 3 deaths. It's much more calm and easy going for me to play with complete randoms whom I know I will likely not see again for atleast a week if not longer. That's how it is for me anyway. I can't speak for the other solo Q'ers.
That's understandable but I see more toxicity from soloers than I do from premades. It's just my experience, but it may also be the difference in our ranks. I feel the option to vet your teammates for future matches is a great boon, even if it means you make a few mistakes in choosing them along the way.

So instead of using the tools to become organized, people would rather have their own queue where the word team doesn't even exist? I think you misunderstand the post. Lane phase can end extremely early on with pre-mades or the enemy jungle/mid/top could be trio and fully lock down a solo players jungle. I have faced a lot of this lately and I can tell you it's extremely frustrating but I just deal with it.
Wouldn't your team have the same composition and be able to do similar things against your enemies? I'll admit that the benefit is a double edged sword, in that while it will be easier for you to pick your teammates, and that your teammates as a soloer will be more organized than 4 randoms, but the same will apply to your enemies team. As far as toxicity goes, I've seen much worse from randoms with no attachment to their teams in the way of raging and trolling than from someone who friends to impress and a reputation on display.
: Wait for solo q to come up or do placements in dynamic too ?
I'd rather queue as a solo and get on a team with a 4 player premade facing a similar team of 4-1 than queue with 9 people who never played together before.
: Why don't solo players realize the benefits of dynamic queue?
So the fear is being pubstomped? So instead of using the tools to become organized, people would rather have their own queue where the word team doesn't even exist?

: It's sad because this comment will probably never get seen, but I'm going to post it anyways. Logged in just to up vote you. I might be one of those weird people, I have 3 accounts, two of which I made to practice specific roles. My least favorite part about making new accounts is that I literally have to fight and destroy newer/lower elo players. I didn't make the account to do that and I DONT want to be doing that. I want to fight against people of my own skill level so I can practice that role. I always feel horrible about crushing newer players because it ruins their experience. So, I'm all for the idea of being able to have a Skilled Player bump feature.
There are custom games, there are co-op vs. bots games, there is teambuilder, which lowers your mmr for your unmastered roles/champions. Use the resources available instead of relying on matchmaking for everything.
: Uh, no. A toddler doesn't play tag to become the master of tag, the best tag player in the universe, to crush all those scrub tag players under their boot. No, they play tag to have *fun*. I play LoL for fun, yet I still get better. But I don't enjoy the game *because* I'm getting better, I don't enjoy the game only when I win. I enjoy the game because it's *fun*. But then there are people who seem to actively try and ruin the game. Make it not fun. Make it so that there is no point in playing it. And you seem to be one of those people.
Toddlers choose who they play tag with. Toddlers who want a challenge go to tag league, where league officials determine who they play tag with. Custom games will give the OP the control he wants to keep his game of tag in his own neighborhood.
: Give us a "Skilled Player" report to handle smurfs
If you want to control who your opponents are, start playing custom games with your friends. Why do people who blame matchmaking for the game's shortcomings rely so heavily upon it when there is an incredibly simple solution available? Matchmaking in all queues, ranked or not, is designed to find opponents who test the limits of your ability. If you don't want a challenge, if you want to just play for fun, there are options for that. I find it ridiculous that you are queuing up with "a bunch of bronzies and a level 5" and expecting a perfectly even matchup. It's no surprise that you are getting stomped in 20 minutes when your AD carry hasn't figured out to "not fight enemies under their turrets." You're really doing your friend a disservice by continuing to play like this without teaching him the basics of the game first. Really, matchmaking is not for fun, it is for difficulty, and when you queue up with such a wide range of player skill levels, you can't assume every game is going to play out the same. Try custom games
: Celebrating the end of this year's Snowdown
It's fine if I don't get a mystery box, but I've been playing since before preseason one, and I've seen Riot do these rewards quite a few times over the years. I had once received a short suspension in the early days of Tribunal, which happened to be the year when Riot had given positive players RP during the Christmas season with the same criteria. Needless to say, I hadn't found that treat in my PVP.net stocking. This year I hadn't even played in a significant amount of time(early-mid 2013? - Feb 2014) and I logged in for the first time this year to find myself chat-restricted. I can't recall any reason for it, since I don't really talk much during games, and the chat restriction was waited out without incidence. I know for sure I'm not a toxic player, and I'm not sure how I had received a chat-restriction after almost a year of inactivity. Can someone look into this, maybe before the mystery gifts finish rolling out?
