: If the population is so small, why does the server space even matter?
they can use that server space for other game modes that presumable would be played more/ make riot more money. server space is determined by games hosted, not exactly number of players (although they are obviously related). There is probably a bunch of unused games in TT just sitting there empty... that would be my guess at least
: They explained that TT is going to be removed to focus resources on their more popular gamemodes so there must have been **someone** working on it since the last update 4 years ago
I'm pretty sure resources means server space

Unpopular opinion. I actually think kled having griveous wounds is a good thing. Whener he has to build executioners calling it completely messes up his build path but he has to against many match ups top

: Sylas did get a login theme, just not an animated splash. I'm grateful he did get a login screen of a sort, at least. But yeah, as I've said before, this is likely due to Riot's money loss and budget costs. Possibly combined with the more positive hope that they're also working on a new game, but...honestly, they should be more focused on making the quality of their *current* game as consistent as possible before taking a leap with shafting off half of their departments onto something they aren't revealing and their current playerbase knows nothing about. Because, while we can speculate, all we see before our eyes is League of Legends becoming cheapened. It saddens me.
don't know why you were downvoted, you are right on the money
: Ranked just released, so its safe to say the mode is now fully implemented. As expected, its completely free to play with no limit. Also: 1) im aware already why companies use their own currencies. You can also submit a data request to view the raw value for the money you actually spent on the game 2) again, just play the game and you'll be rewarded, you're nor forced to have to spend money 3) thousands of games per day, and you need to play about 3-5 to level up. This guarantees your 990 BE
you need way more games to level up as you go higher in level. Most people play one to two days a day, playing 3 days a week anyhow. Ranked is in beta

: So, where exactly do you draw the line with RNG elements? Because I've taken a quick squiz through your posting history, and not a *single* mention of any of the many lootboxes that are shoved into LoL. I mean, let's be honest, they've found their way into just about every rewards based system in the game, are are much, *much* closer to actually being gambling (even using the same "flashy colours/animations" techniques as gambling devices, such as slot machines) than the TFT mode, and yet you seem to be content to completely ignore the problems they pose. Seems like this is *just* about TFT, and nothing to do with actual gambling...

: a "paywall" implies setting forth currency of actual value. if you can play by getting a ticket, FOR ABSOLUTELY FREE, its not a paywall.
how many games do you have to play in the two weeks or so to be able to earn one ticket? how many tickets will most players have to buy to play regularly and without stopping? how many games does the average Lol player play in a week? how many games does a player have to play in order to play clash regularly and still have enough BE to get the next new champ? If you manage to answer those questions, then you will know whether there is a paywall or not I'm case this is all flying right over your head, let me give you an extreme example: Imagine are only able to Get 1 BE each day, a new champ comes out each week and costs 7 BE, and you can pay 1 BE a day to play clash during weekend. You now have to make the choice to get the new champ, play clash or pay actual money to get either....BUUUT we haven't taken into account, say, most people can only play 3 days a week. That means if they play at least one day of clash a week, they would take about one to two weeks more to get the new champ, or if they get the champ they wouldn't be able to play clash for a while unless they paid actual money. Riot uses larger currency so it is all harder to track for you and you are willing to pay money for it. Why do you think you have to buy RP instead of showing the actual money values of things in the frst place? why do you think the amount of BE things cost isn't even? that is designed so all that I explained to you flyes right over your head
: > [{quoted}](name=DeadUnborn,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=8ieWmgZW,comment-id=00000000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2019-07-01T00:05:33.349+0000) > > yeah, and what happens when you run out of BE? if you play enough you never would. > you have to start paying? no. the plan for it was to run once every two weeks. if you cant manage 990 BE (with that being literally 1 level up) then you dont even play the game enough. > Guess what else you need BE for? champs? New champ comes out and you don't have BE, you have to pay to use him/her. or you could: 1) save your BE in advance being that youre given 3 weeks notice for all champion releases 2) wait patiently for it to drop to 6300 like any other champ (1 week) 3) create a PBE account for absolutely free to try any new content, paid or not. there is nothing forcing you to have to use said new champion either. > And Clash would be permanent, so if you really want to play a lot of it you would have to pay once every two weeks, 990 BE per ticket. would be impossible to "play a lot" as everyone plays the same amount of games before they close it the next week. also if you were lacking BE, ANYONE on your team could purchase a ticket for you, for 990 BE. there really isn't an excuse here.
so now instead of arguing there is a paywall you are saying you can prepare for it and manage it so it isn't as bad? That's my queue out
: Ok... if tft is gambling then so are card games, board games, any rpg that has a drop chance, any game that has any amount of rng period.
difference with board games is that they only require one payment, and depending on the game there are various degrees of RNG. Lootboxes and paid RNG goods are currently being investigated precisely because of the same reasoning I am using. Card games also predate on people impulses. How much money did you spend on yu gi oh or magic as a kid on paper? it is also inmoral, but for a different reason, albeit related
: you could purchase clash tickets with BE. a completely free currency. and everyone had a limit on it regardless if they had paid or not because at max it only ran 3 days.
yeah, and what happens when you run out of BE? you have to start paying? Guess what else you need BE for? champs? New champ comes out and you don't have BE, you have to pay to use him/her. And Clash would be permanent, so if you really want to play a lot of it you would have to pay
: actually, you're misunderstanding what it actually reads. what it reads is 2 things (one on the emblem, and one on the bar itself) on the emblem: > claim the orb every day to earn tft beta pass progress and the bar: > you'll be able to power up your orb of enlightenment by playing up to 5 games a day ALL this means is every day you play, you collect progress towards the beta pass. this is no different then any other event we have currently, and only 5 games a day will count towards said progress. you can play games past 5, just no progress counts towards the pass. there is no limit to how much you can play either stated or implied with that statement, just how much will count. again, your argument fell short because its not even meeting your own definition.
yeah sure. Once the game launches I'll come back to tell you so. You might want to look into how Clash tickets work too while we are at it (Clash isn't completely RNG based so I am not saying it is gambling mind you) Gatting game play time is Riot's new strategy to earn money
: its not gambling in any way shape or form for a few reasons: - NO CURRENCY IS INVOLVED. for any game to be legally considered a gamble, you have to set forth something of value or currency for a chance of something greater. being that playing the game requires nothing, you're immediately cut short of your argument there, as it doesn't meet the basic definition of a gamble. nothing was risked. - the game has no paywalls. the only thing you pay for is cosmetic, which has no effect on the game. - because there isnt exactly anything barring you from playing as much as you want, it isnt as predative as candy crush which uses a life based system.
wonrg, it doesn't have paywalls CURRENTLY. Next time you log in for a game, check the right side of the client when choosing TFT. It has an emblem that says "supercharged" or something like that. If you hover the mouse over it, it says with that thing active you can play up to five times a day.... The thing is now TFT is in Beta and Riot wants as much people playing and adopting the game as possible, as well as balancing it. Once that is done the paywall will come down
Kanzler (NA)
: Gambling involves actual currency being risked for the chance at reward. Now I haven't even looked at TFT so correct me if I'm wrong, but just having an RNG element does not make something gambling. Many children's games have random elements. Card games, board games, etc. Loot boxes, however, are a plague.
it is gambling with extra steps, the reward being dopamine instead of actual money. what really has me worried is the fact that the game mode is gonna be locked behind pay walls a la candy crush. that kind of business practice predates on people with mental instability to get their cash and it is not very moral in my opinion, specially if it is accesible to children and young teens who are still forming habits

I think Lulu is a better counter, her W completely ROFLSTOMPS any assassin/diver that wants to get on your AD carry face, and her ULT also stops them in their tracks. For me taric is better at team fights where you want to hard engage and stuff like that

not for me, specially because the name of the region she is from is called Ixaocan. That word has very distinctive Mayan structure to it. yes pecause you have to know what to do with her to have a good win rate, she is like ryze and azir (not as extreme but still). So, when you have a high bonus AD to go with the ratio you heal for a lot more on Q and R. It also increases in damage per level. As I said it's an alternative build and you have to understand why you're doing it, but it is viable. Several diamond + Warwicks build Warrior over Cinderhulk for specifically this reason. If you don't believe me check out some youtube replays. Then check the builds even at Challenger. Sometimes they opt for Warrior.
well yeah, you heal more but that isn't optimal at all, guess you can play it if you really want though
Haze97 (EUW)
: Then take waterwalking. They're probably running it due to which they can run around you in circles. With Warwick's Q they should never be able to do that other than if they had taken waterwalking in which case it isn't the champion, but the runes.
I already take it, if you Q they just walk the other way lol
Haze97 (EUW)
: His ganks may be shit but Xin, Lee, and Vi are never going to outduel him early game. I play WW and the only champ who can duel him early game is Udyr. With everyone else you walk into their jungle, kill the opponent and walk out with their camp, then off to the scuttle and don't give a shit about whether they show up. If anything he needs better ganks early game and he's good to go. He can in no way be outdueled by the champions you mention.
I also play WW (got to diamond with him) and yeah, they do. they only have to go bak and forth so he can't auto them all the time and cicle thorugh cds
Velasan (NA)
: Technically you can Q max, but it's a different build. You can go high damage Q + R set up with Warrior Enchant, but you need to be consciously doing it. If you just build like the basic cinderhulk titanic you won't have enough CDR or AD to make it work.
but what is the benefit of maxing Q when the AD ratio and base damage don't go up by skill point? nor is the Q cd reduced btw, only the amount of healing and damage based on enemy's health go up
Haze97 (EUW)
: He isn't supposed to do well late game due to how phoneme good early game is. The only champion who can duel him in a 1v1 is Udyr and even then it's a skill matchup. They should buff his mid game if anything and leave the weak late be, to justify this.
His early game isn't that strong, sure his dueling might be good (many champions do beat him like lee, vi, xin, udyr and shaco with ignite), but his clear is super slow although safe (most junglers have good clears safe clears nowadays) and his ganks are only ever good if your laners is ahead or enemy is over extended (compared to good junglers like lee, shac, rek sai, zac and elise who have actual gap closers) He is supposed to start be a good duelist/skirmisher mid game and transition into a tank late game. Sure his late game shouldn't be bonkers but definitely not as weak as it is now, specially since he is literally middle of pack in terms of win rate compared to other junglers)

I will never accept the w max It doesn't make any sense to me
let me explain it. If you look at warwick's wikia https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Warwick you will see that every time you level up Q the only thing that goes up is mana cost (bad cause makes for weaker clears), healing (which you don't need because of your passive) and damage based on**enemy** total health; the cooldown and AP/AD scaling remain at the same no matter how many points you put into it Therefore, by putting points into Q first you actually only buffing damage against monsters slightly, since champion health doesn't scale that much until mid game when enemy tanks have a bunch of health and all champion's have had their base health go up by level So basically it is better to put points into W early since Active CD goes down, which means more ganks, as well as passive attack speed going up, which means faster clears and DPS vs champions. I only put 3 points into W because by the time that happens it already gives you enough passive movement speed and attack speed, and you start needing the Q's healing because you start fighting multiple champs at those level and take way more ambient damage (need more survivability) + enemy starts gaining way more health and your Q health scaling starts mattering a lot more

: Apparently fixing bugs isn´t really one of riots core strenghts. Beside the thng you have mentioned there are far more bugs. For example the passive doesn´t update after respawn or the body blocking bug. Hell they can´t even update his Blood Hunt passive text. It still says "below 20% hp attackspeed bonus is tripled" which is wrong. Anyway there is a huge buglist with videos and descriptions on reddit already. The only thing I´d like to see buffed is his abysmal base hp. He does have even less hp at lv 18 than most of the adc´s. Just .. seriously?
what do you mean his passive doesn't update after respawn? you mean the W's passive?
Haze97 (EUW)
: He doesn't even NEED a Q hall buff. He already clears every camp with more than 2/3rd HP remaining, can outduel anyone at level 3, and still synergizes incredibly well with {{item:3065}} and {{item:3812}}. Fucking braindead buff which doesn't bother addressing the issue.
yeah but griveous wounds fucks him over and his early clears, while safe, are tediously slow (which should still be until he gets bami's or tiamat). I think there is room to buff his mid to late game, I just disagree with the way Riot is going about it ---------------------------------------------------- https://champion.gg/champion/Warwick/Jungle? take a look at his win rate by game lenght
