Many of the Yordles symbolize virtues. Poppy - Humility Tristana - Optimism Ziggs - Inspiration Teemo - Duty Rumble - Tenacity Heimerdinger - Intelligence Lulu - Whimsy Kennen - Zeal Corki - Bravery Kled - (Greed) Veigar - (Pride)
: so if anyone was paying attention both DJ Sona and Pentakill were shown in the train in the K/DA video. Other things that were shown was a Pizza Sivir poster, Squid Lulu on a box of Soap bubbles, and the rise music poster. : It's one thing to have an item as an answer to a certain mechanic, but its a terrible idea to implement something that renders the entire mechanic useless. It would be like if instead of Last Whisper penetrating a percentage of your bonus armor, it was an active that just ignored your bonus armor entirely on use.
A window of vulnerability =/= mechanic is totally useless. If you put suboptimal stats on it and makes its duration short, it's a strategic tool and can be played around. Disengage while your Karma or Lux can't shield the team vs. focus vulnerable targets. Last Whisper is just an omnipresent level of vulnerability and tanks complain about it any time ADC's are dominant in the meta. Making it like LW would be producing an item that makes a % of all your damage penetrate shields or something. An active with counterplay and optimal timing is better for the game.
: The game needs a lot of things. Better exploration around shielding, the champions that utilize shields, and the items that empower shields could get us a lot of gains. We unfortunately didn't come to a good solution that was of appropriate scope to get into the game before midseason, at which point it didn't make sense to try to also squeeze that into midseason efforts. I understand why that explanation will be unpopular. I also would have preferred we came to a proper solution.
Ohmwrecker's old passive out. New passive: enemy shields don't work in the area for a short time. Done.
: Don't even upgrade the damn thing... it's a flat out Support buff. I don't see your point. {{item:3098}} = fucking amazing on {{champion:432}} {{champion:63}} {{champion:40}}{{champion:43}}{{champion:1}} {{champion:9}} {{champion:25}} {{champion:267}}{{champion:117}} {{champion:90}} {{champion:37}} {{champion:45}} {{champion:143}} {{champion:161}} {{champion:99}} ect in a support role. Never having to spend 800g on AP support? TYVM. How often do you see a 6 item built support anyway? I don't think I have this season that's for sure.
We are in agreement that the upgraded item sucks. :P Also, never reaching 6 items means its supposed benefit of freeing up item space is irrelevant.
: It still makes you give up the extra actives. The active is the wards, the same as before, but now you have to finish the quest first.
The quests used to be a fun little reward you earned later on. Now they're just a requirement to activate the item.
: Amm i guess you are right but it made you give up the actives and extra stats. Maybe riot should have bundled these changes with the items they plan on adding from the get go.
It still makes you give up the extra actives. The active is the wards, the same as before, but now you have to finish the quest first.
: If anything it opened up an item slot to not be wasted on a pretty mandatory item. The only loss here is the old bonus actives which riot stated will return as their own unique support items.
That is not new. The option existed to purchase these bundled items before 8.2

Case in point, did that MF have a Sterak's Gage? Considering Sterak's Gage is melee only and has been for several patches now, I should hope not.
: Good. Supports deserve many more slaps on the face for how strong they are. Have you ever seen a MF with a shield bar that's literally larger than her actual health bar? And with said MF having finished a Cleaver, too?
Abuse cases can be addressed by better methods than simply deleting an entire category of items from the game. Case in point, did that MF have a Sterak's Gage?

Literally said right in the quote, "lower the cooldown on everyone's trinkets. Shift the onus of providing vision away from the support and onto the entire team." It becomes a tactical decision, to provide vision or deny vision (which is what the sweeper already does). One person on your team with a sweeper and 4 yellows. If the support buys the sweeper, the ADC still has the ability to ward--or vise versa. Or they could just revert the stupid change and let people buy what they want again, which would be better overall.

: Sightstone replacement feels bad
Why would you remove flexibility from the least popular role? I love(d) playing all my AP supports with FQC and now I simply just can't. "Oh, you have more gold now." I had that from the enormous extra kill pressure that the FQC active offered me. I love playing Bard, so it was super helpful for landing picks with his ultimate. This stupid built-in crap was available before, but I never bought it because I hated it. This is a horrible change to a role that is perpetually in need of love. If sightstone was the problem, allow supports to upgrade their trinkets an extra time or make the support items enhance the trinkets. If it ended up being problematic, you could tie them support items to having Exhaust (like the jungle items and smite). Or--perish the thought--just remove Sightstone and buff everyone's trinkets. Finally remove from support the onus to be the group's primary provider of vision.

I don't have high hopes, mostly because every other update of this type has been a train wreck. Juggernaut gave us Darius, marksman gave us Graves, Mage gave us Malzahar. Each have had irritating lingering effects that have taken months to correct (if they get corrected at all).

: Buff -> release skin -> nerf later
It's more like: Release skin -> Playrate skyrockets -> "This BS Champ is OP, Rito plz" -> Nerf
: What's Jhins favorite outer area of the body?
: WTF Are these Taliyah Nerfs????
The problem here is a fundamental flaw in Riot's champion design system. Taliyah, Yasuo, Aurelion Sol, Azir...all of them have high skill floors and high skill ceilings. They require significant investment of time to learn, so most people don't realm understand how they work. This creates the same winrate trend we're all familiar with: low early, low mid, sudden spike. You're left with a committed group who learned the champion and can use it effectively vs. a general public that doesn't know its mechanics. Riot nerfs the champ based off of the mains and LCS players and it's left in an unplayable state for everyone else. It's bad, sloppy design. The reverse is essentially how you end up with Ekko: a brain dead champion with so low a skill floor that anybody can suddenly start using him any time a new OP build comes out for him. When Aurelion Sol was going to get needed for his high winrate on mains, you didn't see a sudden increase in his plaurate. Tank Ekko is discovered, though, and he was in every game. This is the crux of the issue. Riot needs to stop releasing champions with too high or too low a skill requirement, because these champions end up requiring constant adjustments. The champs should be easy to learn and hard to master, to borrow the old cliche. I love Taliyah, but I recall predicting this exact turn of events when I discussed her with a friend. I'm sorry to see it happened, though. RIP, Taliyah.

Some friends and I were in a terrible car accident a few years back and one guy had lost consciousness from blood loss. It was in the country, so the ambulance was about 30 minutes away. Luckily, one of my buddies was into fencing. He challenged the other driver to a duel, easily bested him, and was able to save our friend's life thanks to the resultant AoE heal. It's like you don't know the slightest thing about fencing OR emergency medicine. The next time you visit an ER, I dare you to find a doctor without a rapier on his belt.

I just want a Yorick legendary skin where he and the ghouls are a barbershop quartet.
: Player Forgiveness, the Million Dollar Idea.
Given the scenario you've described, there's a better way to deal with banned players. If they make new accounts that don't spend money but instead drive new people away and deny revenue, the solution would be to ban the player from ever playing LoL again. No new accounts, just permanent loss of access (a la Tyler1).

: And how are they going to do it? Just walk past the enemy irelia, amumu, seju, sion, nautilus? That's how they do it? Hard to do without being mobile. That's where assassins come in. They have the mobility to dive the backline and take out high value targets in a matter of seconds, get back and focus on the other target. Viktor is a mage. How is he supposed to get to the enemy lux/xerath or cait/kog ? When their frontline is peeling?
> [{quoted}](name=GayFluffyUnicorn,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=RQAjef6r,comment-id=00100000,timestamp=2016-07-06T14:17:33.675+0000) > > And how are they going to do it? > Just walk past the enemy irelia, amumu, seju, sion, nautilus? How is he supposed to get to the enemy lux/xerath or cait/kog ? > When their frontline is peeling? You've made my point for me. If a frontline is so effective at denying the mages and ADC's, why are you worried about them? Shouldn't your own frontline be capable of denying the other team just as well? Fights can be settled by sieging, poke, and good engaging and not by an overloaded archetype with the basic definition of high damage, high mobility, and escape potential.
: People complain about assassins and that's fine but consider this:
"Mages and ADC's are so strong. Without assassins, who will kill them?" Maybe your teams' mages and ADC's?
: What do you call a bot lane Kennen?
: no... i dont think you get it. He was totally viable as a support before, he could root people for 4 seconds. Lux is a viable support, but she can't deal nearly as much damage if she **actually goes support items**. Same thing with ryze. His build is and will most likely stay costly. This makes him unfit for the support role.
Long duration roots before required you to stand still spamming. This left you vulnerable, as well, requiring that Ryze be ahead to survive the maneuver. With this rework, he'll be able to land 2s roots at level 2 by pressing two buttons in rapid succession. He can follow up with a Q to give himself a shield and a speed boost to get out afterwards. It is a vastly more accessible and safe play pattern and it isn't dependent on charging his passive.
: i did read his kit. Your suggestion about it does have some pretty good points so i would like to see. Of course the only issue i have is that in the support role, considerably less gold will be available to him.
That's the issue with every support, though. He will have a full utility ultimate and a W that could be oppressive in lane. Sounds like a support to me.
: its possible.
Just read his kit. It's how it will work.

See, that's why people like the OP get salty about assassins. Your definition of an assassin allows for a playstyle that allows to engage on a mage or ADC in their team--with multiple peelers--and still successfully get a kill. I'm guessing you also think that assassin should be allowed to escape afterwards, too. That's an inherently bad design for a team based game, where you have one archetype who is essentially like the main character from a single player game.

: Then they would have to remove ADCs and mages from game as they would be difficult to stop. Then they would have to remove tanks as ADCs or mages wouldnt exist to kill them. Then they would have to remove fighters as tanks arent there to stop them. Which would leave us with supports only.
I always see this argument...couldn't the mages and ADC's kill the mages and ADC's?
