: Riot is really trying to make bad decisions streak bc reasons.....if things keep going down this road, this game will just lose its magic for me.... {{sticker:sg-soraka}}
I agree. Especially with stuff like xayah and rakkan. Their dynamic is just flat and forced.

: What do you mean by "forced?"
The issue isn't that Varus is gay, or that there is a gay relationship in League's lore. The problem is that they retconned established lore to turn a character with a very defined set of motivations and story purely to serve as a token gay character. If taric or ezreal were revealed to be gay it'd be different, because they didn't have established lore that would contradict that. Nothing is added to varus' story by making him gay. The varus changes felt forced and inorganic because it was tacked onto his name. Additionally, telling more story through cinematics is a chance to see the character's personality in full display. Get Jinxed was about Jinx's wild nature, lust for destruction, and to build hype for her release. The Curse of the Sad Mummy was about the inner torment that causes Ammumu's crying. Both of the songs for those were amazing and fit the visuals and the personalities of the characters. The music for this vid was terrible and forgetful. The music didn't say "varus, the vengeful archer who would sacrifice himself to pure evil to avenge his people" so much as it said "so we put music to a stunning visual sequence, and we made varus gay cause why not". The music could have used a more somber direction, maybe some hints of smallness as the sole defender against an onslaught of hostile warriors. A swell for victory and a quick fall as Varus realizes that his village was probably destroyed. The pace could quicken as he rushes to see what has become of his family. The music could fade, and timpani could start pulsing like a heartbeat. Cut to varus approaching the pit, tempo increasing. Staring into the seething froth of evil he plunges into the pit of corruption. music stops. screen is black. after a beat, see varus transformed, rising out of the bit with big heavy horns and drums playing menacingly as varus shoots an arrow through the noxian flag.

We should indeed appreciate and accept it for the story it is, and not try to mute a very important part of Varus's new story. I'm Gay. And I think you need to stop. Focusing on "microaggressions" is harmful, destroys any chance at a real conversation, and a complete waste of time. Telling people they are saying or thinking something that is subtle in what they said, even though most of the time it isn't even true but you FEEL that it is, is, honestly, more "problematic" than what ever the hell you are saying is "problematic". You exaggerate and focus on the negative and put labels on people based on the fact that they don't like a lore that has gay guys in it. Varus' new lore is lame and feels completely out of place of the Varus we have all come to know.
: Disliking Varus's new lore doesn't make you homophobe

: What Riot did to Fiora's hair makes sense though. She's a fencer. She doesn't want her hair covering her eyes during a fight. Also the filter is unnecessary. Really the only thing that needed fixing were the hard lines on her face.
Also if it's about practicality her hair should be mainly behind her head, not on her forehead.
: I agree. She's a grand duelist who can spot enemies vital spots. How is she supposed to spot their vitals with hair in her face? The hair in her face look just makes me think she's an emo kid not worth taking seriously.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool
: Because they've changed her design. Intentionally. They wanted her to look more like a fencer. And in terms of costume, the new one looks more rich posh aristocrat fencer than the old one. The hair covering the eye looks better in terms of "sex appeal", but doesn't make sense for who she is: a focused fighter who always pays attention to her opponent's weakspots. Her face needs tweaking on the current splash. Her models need a bit of work. That's about it.
The rule of cool applies to her hair here. Her old design was cool, therefor it was fine that it made little sense. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool
: Hey look, somebody else fixed it for you already, Riot.
: Champion Update: Fiora
Her old splash art and look were amazing, please don't get rid of it! Do I hear Traditional skin?
: Champion Update: Fiora
As a fiora main since S2, thank you. I'm so happy T.T

: wow, i love this so much, tell me, what was your process coming up with this?
I main Fiora for one, so I know all of her quotes really well. I kept the Wiki page open to Fiora's quotes, lore, and trivia and just kind of told a story. Starting at the beginning with her creator (volty) and her relation to volty's other champs, launching straight into the feeling I get while playing her. (4 pentas on this champ haha) From there it was just flow in all honesty. If you want to try and do this for your own favorite champ, I'd recommend listening to Falconshield's "This is War" series to get a feel for it. Use quotes and lore to let the personality you see in the champ shine through. May your rhymes be ill, and your flow be on point lol

: Warriors
I'm loving the hype of this song.
: Who was your first penta?
I know it was either Fiora or Vladimir. Can't remember which one was first, but good times.
: Sona Update
A lot of you guys have clearly not looked at the numbers here. Let me clear a few things up for you. 1. Sona's activation ranges have not decreased. The only thing that has changed is the duration and range of her passive auras. 2. While the Aura->Buff change is less than graceful, sona still puts out comparable damage, delivered in a different way. Her Staccato damage was reduced, but the "lich bane" proc from your Q will make up for that damage lost. 3. While losing some small passive resistances, the shield is here to make up for it. 4. Your E is actually better now. 5. Ult is the same as it has been. TLDR: Sona's changes will get some getting-used-to, but in the end she'll still be strong in her original role. Don't lose hope yet!
: Finally Made it
Congrats man! I'm on a nice win streak right now, and I'll be joining you in gold by the end of this week ;)
: You have to remember that it is your LP gains/losses per win or loss that is changing as your MMR and LP move away from eachother, not your actual LP that is changing. That is what causes the overshoot. Think of it another way. The LP system is a close approximation to your MMR if you don't force it to do unusual things. If you do force it to do unusual things (like what I stated above) then it no longer is a good approximation. The system wants it to be a good approximation, so it makes guesses about where your LP should be. It can't directly change your LP, so it changes your LP gains per win, and LP loss per loss, but ultimately it is just a scientific and educated guess. A guess is still a guess, an approximation is still an approximation. You can abuse that. Your lp gains will normalize once you peak, but why continue playing at that point? The system can't remove LP except slowly through decay from not playing. Why make it deplete faster? Why not just stop playing ranked after reaching diamond this way?
I won't be doing this, but I love how smart you are. <3

Nice. Awesome job with the textures, though the arpeggiations at around 1:40 feel like a weird rhythm to me. It may just be my computer, but still, great job!
