You spelled "Urgot" wrong
: Should I play rank?
If you have to ask that question, then you already know the answer.
: Long ago, when I truly sucked at CSing, I invented what I call "the minion game." It's simple. You just go into a custom game against 5 intermediate bots (so there will probably be 2 enemy champs bot lane, 1 mid). Go to lane and farm until you hit 50 CS, and look at the clock, see how long it took you. Once you hit 50 CS, exit the game and start again. You want to practice from the beginning, because last-hitting is most difficult at that stage. Keep doing this over and over, from 0 to 50 CS, and see your improvement as it takes less time to get to 50. The nice thing about this is that you can do it whenever you want, and its less than a 10 minute time commitment each time you do it. It usually takes me about 6 minutes to get to 50 CS (I don't successfully kill every single minion). If you want to make it really challenging, play a mage with low base AD, and don't buy a starting item. If you want to replicate game conditions, just play your normal champ with a normal starting item. If you're disciplined about it, if you do this drill multiple times, you will 100% get better at timing your last hits. Having some enemy bots makes it a bit more challenging. Facing real players in a real game will be more difficult, but at least you can learn the basics of timing, and the right moment for auto attacking each minion to ensure you deal the last hit.
I forgot to mention... feel free to use your spells when necessary to get last hits. You don't need to rely solely on auto attacks -- sometimes you need to use a combination of auto attacks and spells to kill two minions quickly back to back. Part of the skill of last hitting is understanding how to use your spells when necessary to help get tricky last hits. Another tip.. since cannon minions are super valuable, if you have a spell that deals more damage than your auto attack, you might want to use it to ensure you kill the cannon, rather than auto attacking the cannon and risking barely missing it.

: Urgent changes for disabled players.
Just a suggestion, but maybe you should change the title of this post to "Urgot changes for disabled players." These players have enough problems already, being disabled, and maybe if we limit their available champion pool (to Urgot), it would force them to really master that champ and not be at such a competitive disadvantage. We've all had the experience of having a disabled player on our team who can't play his champ.. kinda frustrating.

: A funny thought about Malzahar...
No comment heh. How funny that Riot yet again does not address the controversy of the face mask with Malzahar, etc. As if they can "cover it up" with lore, etc. Whose laughing now?
: Yep. This is the reason I don't say anything in game most of the time. Unless I get one of those bizarre games where everyone is chatty and nice, I just don't bother. It's not worth it. I don't need to deal with getting reported because somebody didn't like my performance and so they reported me because I might have been a bit negative as a result. I feel threatened as a player, constantly concerned I might say something that upsets someone and it triggers the wrong flag, getting me banned or muted. And I think it's ridiculous, I shouldn't have to be some ray of sunshine to chat. I should be able to say a game is over, defend myself from harassers, discuss the possibility of why we're losing, etc., without getting muted. I hate how Riot is trying to turn this game into some form of safe space. Let me vent, my team can mute me, let me defend myself, I'm being harassed and it hurts, let me speak my opinion as long as I'm not being some racist bigot. Why must I appeal to every person I meet, out of fear that they will get upset and report me? No other game does this. As long as I'm not being some racist piece of shit, I don't have to worry about getting in trouble. Now I have to censor myself on the off chance I upset someone or Riot doesn't like my word choice. Even saying "shit", on Riot's boards makes me nervous, where nowhere else would I be afraid of cursing. This company seeks to censor and silence and it's frustrating.
"No other game does this." "This company seeks to censor and silence and it's frustrating." Well, Riot (a company originally created by some American kids) was sold to Tencent Holdings Ltd (a Chinese company) in 2015. Tencent, like all Chinese companies, is actually owned by the Chinese government. And from what I've heard the Chinese government has some issues with censorship.
: Just report people whose behavior bothers you. If they've done nothing wrong it'll get overlooked, if they're consistently an asshole then you're helping create a paper trail. The report system is automated, you aren't even wasting time in filing one.
: you should report for anything that bothers you. either the person's behavior is bothersome to enough people that it's hurting the game, or it's not and the report will have done nothing. thinking "well, his behavior sucked, but I don't know if it's worth a report" is just accepting that shitty behavior is part of the game, when it doesn't have to be.

: First ever chat restriction. I can sort of see the reasoning, but I want second opinions.
You didn't say anything objectionable. Seems pretty clear you were just trying to hold your team together and maintain communication on teams with some actually toxic/sabotaging allies. Riot bans people way too easily. Guess they feel they gotta protect the fragile minds of their snowflake playerbase.
: Spoken like a true Objectivist. Well said, Sir.
Hoping this is sarcasm (because his comment was the perfect opposite of objectivism). Sincerely, A guy with a useless bachelor's degree in philosophy.
: Players should have the option to ping "Need Vision"
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I frequently wish there was a **"Enemy does NOT have vision here"** ping, so I can inform my jungler about safe paths for ganking.

: If you were really trying to be progressive then you would call "midgets" little people. Because that's the term little people prefer to be called. Midget is a derogatory term.
How about just PEOPLE. Jeez. As a scientific question, could it in some small way be possible they have the genes or bloodlines of the ancient Elves, Dwarfs, or Hobbits?
: Let him call it what he wants it only makes him look stupid
Annnnd now you all see how the Deaf and other types get treated all the time, just like this.
: A dictionary definition is not a worldview. Otherwise I am going to sue you right now because in "my worldview" you are murdering me. > I know most share this viewpoint Most? Like most uneducated people? Most aliens? Certainly not most people. And finally an offence against a race must be based on belief of inferiority of said race to be racism. Yet again, spend more time educating yourself rather than creating your personal definitions of words. There are nearly 8 billion people, If everyone acted like you it would be a mess.
You sir have a lot to learn, for now we will have to agree to disagree
: 1) The dumb part he refers to is likely calling it racism. Stop expanding definition of such words, it hurst more than helps. That word became a meme because of such expansions in meaning. 2) Music industry isn't inconsiderate towards deaf people, nature is. It's not industry's fault deaf people cannot appreciate by nature what the industry offers. And about other aspects? Most english subtitles are automatically considered for deaf people and contain sound-event commentary. With music videos, yes it would be nicer If more such videos contained timed lyrics + sound-event commentary but calling it oppression when such video lacks it is just too much. 3) The progress is slow but it's there, many technologies attempt to have variety of accessibility options, allowing people disabled in various ways to still be able to use them. If such technology lacks, it's more likely result of lack of creativity in how to implement such tech and question of resources it'd take, not result of aimed opression. LoL's accessibility options are certainly lacking many things to be ideal (considering various types of colour-blindness, warnings/telegraph for deaf etc.) and it would be nice If Riot moved their resources and did something about it, but calling it "racism" implying intended opression is just too far. Which is probably why Ssoats found your post a dumb thought.
Well I consider Deafs and Midgets to be separate races and I know most share this viewpoint so the many slights and offences against them does qualify as racism. Not to denounce your worldview but also you should not denounce mine.

TY for proving my point. The deaf never get taken seriously, just like midgets. Society likes to pretend it's progressing but it really isn't.
: Fair settings for deaf people.
I've always felt like the music industry or just music in general is very racist to deaf people
: Taric W Frame Skip Bug
Hey Riot KateyKhaos, I posted a previous message about Taric in Report a Bug... But in case this catches your eye I'll mention it here... I believe there's a bug with Taric's E where the spell doesn't activate immediately upon pressing E the way it used to. Currently when I press E, I have to hold my mouse cursor in place for a brief time (~.5 seconds) before his stun animation activates. If I press E and move the mouse cursor immediately, the spell will never activate. It results in many botched attempts to cast E. Can you look into that, and see if the same thing happens to you, and see if it happened in older patches? I play Taric a lot and this just started happening to me in the past couple weeks.
: Taric E activation delay
Just checking in to note that this problem is still occurring. Taric's E no longer activates immediately upon pressing E -- you have to press E and hold the mouse cursor in place for a brief time (~.5 seconds) and then the spell will activate, but if you move the mouse cursor immediately after pressing E, the spell will not activate. This really messes up the timing of the spell. Can a Riot employee please look into this?
