Resistance, Sheriff, and Officer come to mind. Maybe Safari too. Likewise, Graves and Twisted Fate have fine main splashes, but some of their earlier skin splashes do not look up to par with today's standards at all. Of course, other champions like Sivir and Annie are in a far greater need of updates, but I'm simply listing my mains (besides Jinx, who has fine splashes all around) out of personal preference.
: My Hopes for Yuumi
To be fair, a good chunk of the Yordles are the whitest morality of any characters in the game. Poppy and Tristana, two of the three female Yordles we have at the moment before Yuumi comes, are notable examples (even if the latter is a little overexcited). As far as we know, Corki is a good-hearted fun-loving protector, Heimerdinger is an invested knowledge-seeking scientist who is sane enough to consider Ziggs crazy for a Yordle, and Kennen is level-headed enough to join the Kinkou and he likely acts as the mediator between Akali and Shen. The rest of them have their issues, sure, but even the most evilly evil Yordle of all is actually helping people by being the **EVILEST AND TOTALLY NOT THE SHORTEST WIZARD.** {{champion:45}} I think Yuumi will be curious, ditzy, but good. Her voice just sells it. She'll probably have some elements of Lulu but be more level-headed, which makes sense because Lulu's magic is more showy and out-there, but from what we know, Yuumi's rather new at magic in comparison and will be more "by-the-book", as Riot said in her first teaser.
Febos (EUW)
: Yummi's Book
My guesses for the old icons: 3 blocks in the north: Old Freljord, ruled by Avarosa, Serylda, and Lissandra. Circle to the northeast: Old Ionia. Probably with minimal human population at the time and even more spirits, like the original vastayasha'rei and more. Wavy person-like icon in the middle, near present-day Noxus: Unknown. Could be the people that Mordekaiser eventually conquered. Snake icon: Kumungu, which has no icon as of now. I assume that their civilization is currently hidden, and between then and now was conquered by the Shuriman empire. We'll probably get more Kumungu info with the new assassin. Spike and circle to the east: Old Targon, dominated by the celestials at the time. Might have been around the same time that Aurelion was enslaved. Southernmost wing-like icon: Almost certainly Icathia, but could maybe be the civilization that became the Blessed Isles civilization? Doubtful though; I'm guessing it's Icathia. As for other theories, the Bilgewater portals in the ocean likely have an X on them because of the black mist going over them pretty often; yearly, in normal time, but we know time passes differently in Bandle City so they probably want to avoid those portals altogether. It might also have to do with the destruction of Fizz's people, who are, of course, Yordles too. And the portals being sucked into the Void...well, the Void consumes all, physical or spiritual, so it's not too much of a surprise there. But I assume we'll get more details on it soon.

The only Yordles they actually attacked were Rumble and Teemo. And rightfully so.

That would be a bit hard, because not only does Ivern have a quote about it, but Nunu does too. Which is part of a big aspect of Nunu and Willump's storytelling theme. The faction should be called Kumungu. It's what the players know, it's mentioned by the champions, it would be the best way to ease people into the faction.
: What is the Most Interesting New Champion Thematic?
A female Darkin is already guaranteed, given that Varus is looking for a "sister" in his comic. Whether that be a sister in battle or an actual blood sister of his who also became an Ascended, we have yet to see. But I don't think we're getting any more Darkins for another while, since there are most likely only two that will be added to the game in the future (probably a mid laner and support, to complete the team comp).
: If I was going to recommend Ashe's origin story to a friend or newbies. I certainly wouldn't be telling them to bother with her biography, I'd tell them to go for the comic. It dives deep into her character (at least from the perspective of her early life) and the juicy details from their inner conflict/challenges. All of which Ashe's bio fails to describe to the reader. Content from the bio that's missed and/or described in an insufferably vague manner was conveyed with more effective depth in Ashe's comic. If this comic works in a similar format I see literally no reason with why that would be an issue. If I want to learn the most interesting things about a character, its rarely comes from the bio. Even if another story is just a recap of their bio, it will likely contain objectively better content.

If I want to learn the most interesting things about a character, its rarely comes from the bio. Even if another story is just a recap of their bio, it will likely contain objectively better content. The problem is the champion in question. Lux receives an egregiously large amount of focus in her faction's current lore compared to Ashe, and unlike Ashe, the entire gimmick of Demacia being magic-haters (which many have complained is getting old) is centered entirely around her. That's why I and many others are sincerely hoping for Riot to move the story forward, give us something new, branch out, or do something besides the same thing we've been seeing with Demacia so much lately. I think they can do it, but I have my fears about what this comic could be, simply for the sake of avoiding risk and prioritizing sales, and this teaser isn't proving those fears wrong.

Mordekaiser mentions them, but he's about to get reworked. Nidalee and Cho'Gath mention summoners as well, as does Brolaf (but that's a joke so it isn't as urgent, although Olaf could *really* really use at least a visual update, if not a mini-rework, himself).
d00mface (EUW)
: Would you be interested in a Taliyah centric comic?
Oh I'd love it! She's one of my favorites, but I definitely think it should be a three-way perspective between her, Sivir, and Azir if the comic is to talk about what Shurima's up to now that the empire is coming back. Maybe we would get something on Nasus trying to get Renekton back to his senses, but I think that should be its own thing and more centered around the brothers.

Then Corki, Amumu, and Mundo are tied as the third worst bases, in my opinion (Corki's mostly because it's most likely pretty lore inaccurate).

: Can we get a little bit of love for Baron in the lore?
Baron was originally canonically from the void (and the Rift Herald is corrupted by the void rift he comes from; the void pit on the map), but of course, after the retcon, now we don't know if there's an actual Baron Nashor in Runeterra. I would assume there might be, though, since Voidborn can come in many shapes and sizes. Besides Vel'Koz, we actually don't have any info about the other actual Voidborn yet post-retcon, save for a little bit on Rek'Sai. But I would assume that there will be an actual Voidborn update in the future; perhaps that non-humanoid champion in the works is one. And hopefully we'll get some info on the canon incarnation of Baron then.
Ravant (NA)
: Why Dunkmaster Ivern and not Zilean/Syndra?
Since Zilean is up for a rework in the coming future and his skin this year will probably be his last before he gets it, they probably don't want to base any skins on his current abilities, just in case they'll be changed or removed. A Dunkmaster Syndra would be a hilarious April Fools skin though. But I know some Syndra mains (especially **a certain avid Syndra fan**) want her next skin to be something more powerful and serious, like a Coven Syndra or maybe even something in Omen Of The Dark.
Meepaboo (NA)
: Vel'koz skins
I'm hoping he gets a good skin soon too. A Dark Star Vel'Koz would be amazing, but I wouldn't say no to a Battle Boss skin with the Arcade event coming this year.

He hasn't received love in a while, and since he's confirmed to be getting a skin before he receives any sort of rework, it's likely that we'll have to wait a while more for some Shaco lore. But Riot won't necessarily stick with the entire mini bio; they've changed many of the ones they initially added when doing the official lore updates of said characters (Nautilus, Kayle and Morgana, and Swain to a lesser extent). So he could still be a true *Joker* type for the game; could keep a very similar backstory and just be a jester (as is his epithet) instead of a literal puppet. But like I said, we don't know and we won't for some time.

> [{quoted}](name=Freed By Frailty,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=p791spJv,comment-id=,timestamp=2019-04-18T00:40:45.066+0000) > > So we all know that in game abilities are not always canon or truly represent what a Champion can actually do in Universe, take Garen's ultimate for example. However, with Janna, I'm at a bit of a crossroads. Can she actually heal people or not? Just for reference, Garen's ultimate is actually a bit of a mystery right now. Rioter and story hints imply that it is canon. How it is, however, is something we'll have to wait for. And since we have no lore news this patch, let alone news on the upcoming Demacia content, it looks like we'll have to wait a long time. {{sticker:sg-ahri-1}} But as for Janna. It's not exactly as if her powers are *just* limited to controlling wind; she is a minor goddess, after all. It's perfectly possible that her healing is canon, and it would make sense with the kind of character she is. It might be healing in a different way than Soraka's, more related to her hope associations (though Soraka does have those too, come to think of it). In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if she and Soraka both go around Zaun helping people at all, since, like you said, those crowded slums need all the help they can get. Janna also might not be powerful enough to go and help everyone who might need her, which could be where Soraka comes in. The two of them might even know each other. In fact, if they do know each other and are both doing their best to help and save people around Zaun (in Soraka's case, at least when she happens to be around there), I would be interested in seeing them interact and talk about hope, humanity, its potential, and how each of them feels when people lose faith and hope because they can't save everybody. Since they're two of the biggest embodiments of the "squishy ethereal healer support" archetype in the game, I'd love to see them share perspectives and experiences. I'd add Sona to that equation, but her having a conversation is, of course, a little more of a complicated scenario. {{sticker:sona-playing}}

Meanwhile, Vi only has interactions with Cáit. And neither have any interactions with {{champion:222}}. Vi and Jinx were at the cusp of Riot transitioning into the larger VOs we have today, and Caitlyn's VO is from old old lore days (though it's not in terrible need of an update since it's not unfitting to her, nor does it mention the Summoners). So that's the reason they're not all interacting with each other (though Pulsefire Caitlyn does have a line when she kills Jinx, at least).

Let's see her freeze some people and do ice witch stuff in the spotlight!

She could definitely use one, though other champs probably need it more badly. But the cream dollop on top of her head always bothers me. It looks so silly and they can do so much better with their current hair physics. {{champion:26}} has the same problem with his hair, but his rework will probably be first, since his kit has far more problems. Also, he has no modern lore.

If we don't get a deer champ though, someone once said that she hoped the Ivory Stag wouldn't be Thresh, but unless we get a new deer champ I think it will be.
: Will we ever get a deer/cervine champion?
I think a deer would most fit as a Freljordian demigod; deer don't seem like a very Ionian animal all that much. Plus vastaya are clearly mixed with humans, while Freljordian demigods take the animal theme all the way and just make the animal somewhat anthropomorphic. I'd enjoy that with a deer.
: what is the difference of work in between festival queen anivia and sad robot amumu
Amumu is also on the list for a rework, so we probably shouldn't have to worry about this skin being below its price tag for too much longer. Hell, why not buy it now and prepare for the future! I don't think he's high on the rework list but he should probably be touched on in a year or two, especially since Yordles are *finally* getting some love and perhaps they can confirm whether he is one or not already. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}

: Do you know where you can find that Rioter's official comment? I would like to read it myself. But no? Ahri didn't shapeshift to gain her victims. She manipulated their emotions and charmed them so they came to her and so she could drain their life essence easily. She didn't physically change her shape, and I don't think there's any indication in her lore that she does. (It's also why I mentioned she may have an ability of manipulating sho'ma - I think it's more possible than her being a shapeshifter). Also the Rakan quote doesn't necessarily mean he shapeshifts - it might have been meant to be interpreted as "Rakan adjusts his cloak until he likes it, same as how we humans change clothes until we're satisfied." We don't shapeshift, we just change clothes. It might have been the same thing for Rakan. And personally, I don't think it's possible that they can change between a full animal form and a full human one because then it doesn't really make sense. I can perhaps imagine some Vastayan having a slightly more animalistic form and then having a slightly more human form. But full human and full animal form? I don't think so. If this were the case, then I think it would have already been mentioned they could do this somewhere? Why don't we see Xayah and Rakan turn into their full bird forms to pass by the humans without suspicion and get into areas that humans wouldn't be allowed into? Why don't we see Nami turn more humanoid to look more friendly to the human tribes? And maybe there's a reason that they prefer their Vastayan forms to either, but still? Why don't we see an instance of a Vastaya turning into their full human or animal form? Or even a brief mention that they have that ability? And I don't even think I want this to be true. Plotwise, it gives Vastayans way too much convience to get around places and win. They could just easily turn into humans or easily turn into animals to solve the problem. Plus, I think it would take away from Neeko's originality as the "shapeshifter of League of Legends." So from the lore we have, I don't think the majority of the Vastayan can shapeshift, and from a worldbuilding and a writer's perspective, I don't think they should be able to. So my conclusion is either they have different forms with VERY minor changes, or they don't change forms at all.

We don't shapeshift, we just change clothes. It might have been the same thing for Rakan. The Rakan quote was used as an example in that comment. Sadly I forget where it was; would be nice if someone else could link it. I assume the whole distinction was made when Neeko came out to give her shapeshifting some context and connection with other vastaya. After all, the four existing vastaya weren't connected before Xayah and Rakan, so it's more like Riot's missed out on the concept of showing shapeshifting powers until recently with this idea. And yeah, I know, lots of retcons and all that...but I think this one could turn out to be pretty cool.
: I can't speak to the Lux comic. I donno where they are with it. I've only seen snippets. But you can probably apply the same math that was used for Ashe (plus 1 issue) to figure out it's release date. (I mean Marvel's schedules are pretty locked.) Ashe is still due for release on the day we mentioned previously. (mid may I believe) Sadly, I don't know what's in the book, and I haven't seen it. The exact insides are decided by our editors without the authors feedback (I guess?) Zed is spinning up production soon... and I'm not allowed to say much about him. I can say he has 6 scripts done, and first script is locked (I.e. ready for the artist). This is probably because we are in a place where the team doesn't have much to report... yet. (Heck. I don't even know the answers)

I should hope something will come out next week, since I assume we'll get a teaser for the new support then and all the lore updates that come with it. So I'm not too anxious, but yeah, I'm curious about how quiet Riot's been lately.
: Um, no. As far as I can tell, Neeko is the only one who can shapeshift, due to being more closely related to the Vastayashai’rei, the true shapeshifters. The other Vastayan, including Ahri, do not have this ability, unless there was something I missed. I can imagine Ahri is good as Neeko, or even better than her, at manipulating beings' sho'ma, or their spiritual essence. But as far as I can tell, none of their lore suggests the other Vastayan can shapeshift like Neeko, nor do I recall an instance where that fact was confirmed.

But as far as I can tell, none of their lore suggests the other Vastayan can shapeshift like Neeko, nor do I recall an instance where that fact was confirmed. It was in a Rioter comment somewhere that all vastaya can go in-between full human and full animal only (not other forms like Neeko; her tribe kept that aspect because, well, they're chameleons). I do hope they show it more in the official lore since it seems like an interesting part of the collective vastaya. However, I believe Ahri is shown shapeshifting between these forms the main lore somewhat. It's how she originally got victims before she got the whole guilt complex about it and only took people's emotions when necessary. Also, a slightly different form of shapeshifting: Rakan's quote about how he "gets his cloak right" was an example of other vastaya shapeshifting in that Rioter comment; Lhotlan vastaya can change their feather colors if they want. So I imagine Xayah and Rakan are...the third best shapeshifters, of the tribes we currently have. It probably goes Oovi-Kat (Neeko), Ahri's tribe (unknown name), Lhotlan (Xayah and Rakan), maybe Shimon (Wukong, though his magic is probably mixed with Wuju magic), and we haven't seen what the Marai (Nami) and Kiliash (Rengar) can do. Though I imagine Kiliash have the hardest time of all the vastaya we've seen so far, since they live the farthest from magic-heavy places. Rengar's invisibility might be connected though.
: Can Gnar be understood by other Yordles?
I would imagine Heimerdinger would be fascinated to learn about him and his grunt speech. He might make a couple mistakes in translation though, or intentional errors. Come to think of it, it would be so funny to see those two interact...

Once that happens, I'm sure most of his splash arts (except for Mecha, Ironside, Odyssey, and maybe his base) will be updated in full glory. Hilarity shall ensue. Haha yeah, I guess I just don't really know what it was, but as I was going through the different splashes, those ones just jumped out at me with a particular violence as just...bad haha. I suppose I'm just hoping for something in the vein of some splash updates like they did a while back where Riot took a few champions and brought some of the Chinese splashes over. I don't know, just...anything. Can't wait for the full Irish skinline tho{{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}

But the splash potential is too hilarious not to do it. Come on Riot. {{sticker:sg-soraka}}
: Malphite Splash Art
Malphite was one of the first League of Legends champions and never had an official splash update for his skins, so that explains it. I think he is on the rework list, though not very high because his kit isn't a **total** disaster (but it will definitely need some work). : Lux/Garen comic for November?
Given that blurb...I hope it's not just an expanded version of her bio...I hope it moves the story forward...please move the story forward...{{sticker:sg-janna}} And yes I know there's a Demacia novella coming out that will doubtlessly move the story forward but that doesn't mean this comic should be stagnant as a result.

The base skin should still be the best one though for those who don't have oodles of money.
: Kumangra is a city in northern Kumungu. Which is now just the northern region of the jungles on the Shuriman continent.

Which is now just the northern region of the jungles on the Shuriman continent. If the Southern area wasn't completely infested with Zyra's overgrowth and wasn't one of the closest places to the Icathian Void Rift, the people would probably name the whole jungle Kumungu anyway. But at the moment no one's living there to name it, except I guess for Zyra. Maybe she calls it something after herself. Zyraland? Zyria?

No, he _has_ a green card. Go in game and use his ultimate on his base skin, but pay attention to the color of the circle of cards at your target location, not your current one. It's a circle of green cards with a portal on them.

Oh yes, I meant a useable one for his Pick-A-Card. To be honest I've noticed that sometimes, but I'm usually trying to keep my camera on where I'm teleing.
: Zac skin pls
I've said this before but I really want a Sugar Rush universe Zac where his hair becomes whipped cream with a cherry on top. Maybe he could have other candies on his body too; there's so much you can do with a real candy Zac. Maybe even with some sweet new sound effects.
: Twisted Fate's Card Suites
I always had a headcanon that, in lore, he has a green card that might heal, but giving that to him in game might not be the best idea (looking at you, fellow damage-dealer Akali who had an annoying self-heal until a couple months ago).

Plain and simple. If they ever did get together it would _guaranteed_ be an abusive relationship, not to mention the girl is like 16 and he's easily 25-26. It's just wrong and should never happen.

Lux is about 20, but Sylas is still at least ten years older than her. Same logic applies. I don't even think she had romantic feelings for him in the first place, probably more brother-replacement feelings (though the age gap is still bigger than her and Garen's).
: Why is the new Darius story classified as a "color story"?
It's a figure of speech. It gives "color" to the character in question and showcases the champion in his or her natural environment.
