I agree. But there are even bigger issues. I'm plat and I keep getting silvers on my team. Not even because I have been losing. On my winning streak I had two silvers in a row. People can't even Q when they are a tier apart. Why hell do I get silver on my team twice? They feed so hard and have no concept of macro.

: Personal opinion (not on balance team). In regards to THE FAST. I agree that he feels "off" right now, a bit too fast. IMO Hail of Blades could use some work, seems like a rune that is warping on Jhin while being pretty hard to take advantage of for the rest of the roster. That said, stats wise, Jhin doesn't seem OP. His winrate is average, his pick/ban status in pro seems healthy, he's not highly banned in solo queue. His pickrate is high however, but we see threads like this pop up all the time on boards whenever a champ is popular. When you see something in a lot of your games you tend to start noticing the things that might feel BS about it. Here's something to think about. League balance is like a ladder. There's ALWAYS going to be a popular champion that you see a lot at the top of the ladder. When you nerf bat them off the top, another champion is likely to take their place. If it isn't Jhin it will be MF, or Draven, or Kai'sa, or Jinx, etc. A good question to ask is, "who would you rather see at the top of the ladder? Who makes the game best when you see them in your games?" There's always going to be someone who's played the most.

: A lot of champions that are kept at low winrates either have to be there for the health of the game or are weak just because we are in a meta that doesn't really favor them. Champs that are kept weak for the health of the game: Ornn Kalista Nunu (getting reworked so doesn't really matter) Nid Gragas Sej Galio Azir Ryze Shen When these champs are super strong they completely run over high elo and pro play while still only being able to maintain close to a 50% win ratio in low elo. Ryze has a 47% winrate and has been nerfed over and over again, but is still seeing a ton of pro play just because of how busted his kit is in the right hands. Azir is never allowed to be strong because mid lane then becomes Azir vs people who don't auto lose to him (which is not a lot of champs when he's strong). Those champions will most likely stay weak until they get reworked or have significant changes to their kits. There are other champs that should be on the list, but those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. There are a ton of champs that just aren't good atm because of the current meta were in, but I don't wanna make a huge list of them. If you look at some of the lower winrate champions you can generally tell why they are weak. For example, Kog is pretty weak right now because engage supports are more popular and peel supports are not very prevalent in the meta right now which makes surviving as him much harder. There are also just some cases where champions can't really be buffed with just number changes. For example, it is harder to buff/nerf Brand based on just numbers alone because if his numbers are too high then he is a busted support and if they are too low, then he is complete ass at everything. It can be too hard to find a middle ground for certain champions without making them overbearing so it's harder to buff them without making them game warping.

: this is so true, matchmaking is so bs. in my recent games there has been nothing more then inting teammates. i swear it feels like my team is from bronze 5 and theirs is from challenger. i think this is not fair because i should have teammates with the same or close MMR as i do.
Exactly. Take my last game for instance: I'm already on a losing streak because of bad games and bad teams, then I get another team where not one person on my team is of higher rank than the other. I literally had only Gold/Silver and their team was primarily Plat and higher Gold. Not one person on my team was of higher rank. My MMR has already taken a dive from feeders and leavers, where do I get a break of them? Their system is shit and everyone knows it. It practically luck if you get out to where you don't have consistent trolls or imba teams. It makes no sense when teams have 200+ MMR difference.
: > [{quoted}](name=El Dentistador,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=xAro49Fk,comment-id=,timestamp=2018-01-27T07:53:27.788+0000) > > I understand making it a challenge in order to join the next tier but this is ridiculous. So far just to get from Gold V to Gold IV I have 9 out of 10 games had a DC, AFker, or something similar on my team. Most of the time it's not even a real match. It's playing 4v5. How can this be considered a working system when this happens regularly. Just my 2 cents. Right now I'm so disappointed how unfairly difficult it is to rank up or get to series when teams aren't even remotely fairly set up. One team should not be stuck with someone who can't even run the game while the other team has zero issues. Dude, this game is totally rigged. I have 3000 wins and 2900 losses and have been within 50 + or - ALL along the way. There is only ONE explanation for this - RIGGED. When Riot wants you to lose, you do. You could be the best player in the world and if they put you with noobs against quality players, your gonna lose and they know this. The worst part about the rigged system is if you get a good winning streak (and your ELO obviously increases), your gonna have a RAGING losing streak as Riot pairs you will idiots. Riot would say they are "training you to carry". This is abject bullshit. Riot also says when your ELO increases, you will get matched against better players. Ok fine, but don't put me with noobs at the same time! A better way is to always match teams evenly. This would make for a better game, but Riot feels it would become unbalanced with the best players winning the most and the worst players leaving the game. So what Riot is saying is FUCK YOU best players those noobs need some wins so I'm going to put a noob with great players and you will all noobs so that noob can get some wins and want to play more. It's garbage Riot to punish your best players like that. P.S. And don't think having a pre-made team fixes this. While you know who your Team is, Riot knows the comp you like to play and the same for your opponent and can predict with decent accuracy a win or loss. They have the analytics. They have your ELO for each champion you play and how often you play them and where you play on the map and understand comps who can and WILL beat you 100% of the time EVEN IF THE OVERALL ELO RATINGS LOOK EVEN!
I agree. The matchmaking makes no sense most of the time. At this point I don't really care about climbing, but don't get me wrong. I like to win and if I play well then fine, if not, then oh well. I've come to expect my team to have someone with mental handicap spamming chat and jerking off.

: > a rough breakdown of how many players exist in each tier in ranked... http://na.op.gg/statistics/tier/ _______________ > ...and any data they had that would tell me how often the system actually succeeds in finding a "fair match". From https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2018/02/dev-matchmaking-real-talk/ : > Within the actual systems, most teams have an expected win rate of 50 +/-1%. This means from all the data we have, we think we’ve made a fair match. But we can’t rely purely on the raw data. So statistically (unless you are in Master+, where matchmaking gets much more difficult), all games are "fair", or within 1% of "fair". That is, before the start of game, the teams are matched with equal _overall_ skill levels. Of course, there's so much shit that can get in the way of that, once you actually start the game, because of human error/variance. People being tilted from previous games, people getting their champions banned, teams picking non-synergistic team comps, and people just having a good/bad game. Even ignoring pure mistakes, there are things that are out of the players' control that can cause games to start snowballing and seem unfair. Little things like gank timing and skillshots, which are often based on essentially random chance, since it's so hard to perfectly predict when the jungler will show up or where people will aim/dodge. Riot does what they can to set up matches in a fair way, but often things just seem to go perfectly wrong. Of course, there are still a few things Riot can do to improve the fairness of games. Next year, they are going to starting matching players based on their skill level **per role**, so that (for example) autofilled players don't weigh down a team. And there's still the smurfing problem, which is my personal source of disappointment in Riot. But tbh, those are minor or rare problems, compared to the problems in the previous paragraph. I do trust Riot when they say that the Matchmaker itself is _mostly_ fair. But only one team can win in the end. (Side note: How _quickly_ games are decided is an entirely separate discussion from matchmaking and fairness, IMO. Even if games are being won/lost at 10 minutes, both teams have an equal opportunity to seize those early advantages.)
Lower elo tends to have this sort of behavior. Hence why they stay lower elo. I have really good and bad games. Sometimes because of my kind of contribution and vice versa. The best thing you can do is improve your own playing. I think higher elo tends to be more enjoyable simply because I find there is a higher likelihood to have more mature teammates. Otherwise just play norms and screw around. Play ARAM and chill. You have to be mentally prepared to play ranked. Otherwise you can't make the best out of bad situations and pull a win where others would think hopeless because ones pleb flamed another. Watch videos from Phy if you want to improve your technical and mental gameplay.
: Lol, shaco isn't broken. You have other jg's like him with harder burst. A good shaco is something to be scared of, but you have to be good with him. Otherwise he is squishy garbage. I've beaten a shaco jg with Ivern, lol
Plus we have 5 bans per team. Use one for shaco if he is so broken... but then you'd probably complain about another champ you didn't ban.
: Yea killing someone with one backstab is a little asinine...
Then don't go 0/4 in lane with 2 levels down. After that anyone can 1 shot you. LB can be same level and farm still practically 1 shots, so no complaints.

: Matchmaking is rigged
Another game where I have a Silver II matched up with Plat. That's not to mention an adc who rages then walks around the map laughing after 1 death. Gotta love getting demoted because your team is broken from the start.
: The time is not fixed. I was blocked because of a chat ban. Flamed because our jg DC'd for 6 mins allowing enemy jg to have is way with our team. It was ranked btw. I suggested we report jg and was upset my one game from promo was ruined by another DC or RQ. Apparently jg had a duo who spun me as toxic. I got banned because enemy team report me even though we were so far down (won my lane btw). Two week later my honor still locked. At this point I don't even care or bother with it. Even if I get multiple most honorable mentions it stays the same. The current system is very broken. There is no incentive to participate if you had one mishap causing the ban. I don't even care to honor anyone this season because of it.
My honor just unlocked the other day. It took a couple of weeks for me.
: I don't think it's rigged. I just think it's unbelievably terrible and will only get more terrible as it creates more horrible experiences for players, driving more of them to give up on ranked (or the game altogether) as a result, creating an even smaller pool of available players to draw on, forcing it to create even more matches that are not even remotely fair to speed up queue times.
This is quite possible. Although. things might improve as the season progresses, because the garbo players who give up after 1 death stop playing ranked. So who knows, but right now things are a clown fiesta and I just want to get back into plat.

: Okay, just have some common sense for a moment. Riot already locks out people who leave excessively from the game for ever increasing durations. How do you suppose Riot is picking out people who will DC or AFK mid-match to put them on your team? And perhaps more importantly, why?
False. People who frequently DC go under the radar because they may return 5 to 10 minutes later, but by then the game is practically unwinnable in a game where snowballing is key. The occurrence rate is suspicious is my tiff. Whether they are someone with a potato computer or someone who tends to RQ or have a toxic attitude, they often appear during a match that is 1 game from series. Maybe it's just my elo and the system is doing the best it can, but holy fuck it's annoying and tilting af.
