: ADC's should have sustained damage, not burst
Considering Marksmen have been relevant in just about every season and meta, I think its fine to take some time where ADCs just plain AREN'T THAT GOOD. Not every class of champion needs to be good ALL THE TIME. That being said, I really hope if Riot does decide to do something for ADCs, its buff early survivability rather than damage in order to help them get to their 3 item "take over the game" status, and not make it so the winning bot lane just immediately takes over the game with their advantage.

: > I for one welcome the chance to let champions other than Marksmen go, and even excel at, the Bottom lane role. Then let marksmen go to other lanes. But you don't want that. You just want the chance to play your mages or your bruisers in **another** role, on top off the other ones you already can. That's not balanced. That's not fair. And that's why Riot doesn't listen to the boards.

: They got it around 10 minutes. That's not really longer than what it used to take at all. Because they got it because our jungler ganked, and then stayed with them TO take the tower. They completely missed the point of making it take longer.

WIth the new changes, theres no way 3 people take a full hp tower at 10 minutes. If 3 people got your tower, that means it was HEAVILY chipped during lane (at least 2 platings down minimum). You played safe under tower, and your opposing laners got rewarded for their aggression. Your jungler probably should have found a window to relive pressure bottom lane if they were hitting your tower, or you should have picked a stronger lane, or you should have played better and not lost the lane. Towers feel pretty good to me honestly, and are definitely an improvement.

One bad decision can easily get you and your teammates killed, and vice-a-versa for your opponents. Yes, newer champions tend to have pretty complex kits compared to "the old guard", but you shouldn't complain about losing to a champion because you don't know what they do, that just makes you look dumb.

: So i played Neeko some - a couple things that are readily apparent.
Wait, Riot releasing a champion completely overtuned and busted?!? In all seriousness, from the little that I have seen, it does look like its gonna be REALLY powerful, and probably in need of number tweaking.
: Pyke is still fucking broken as shit
I find his kit quite balanced, its just the R damage that seems overtuned to me, especially considering he can just chain kill your team, or make a pick and still have R ready 20-30 seconds later.
: Is there a really good reason for why I gotta play against diamonds in norms?
Normal games are actually TERRIBLE. People complain about one-sided Ranked games... wait until you try Normals hooooolyyy f***. Legit every game at least one lane is 0/6 by 5 minutes, and the game is "over" by 10 minutes every single time. I used to try to practice in Normals since I don't have a second account, but recently the game quality has been consistently so poor that I just play Ranked only.

: 1 week into this game
If you're playing Ranked games after only 1 week of learning the game you deserve to get flamed, learn the damn game first. If you're getting flamed in norms, feelsbadman, that sucks and probably shouldn't happen.
: This game is honestly fucking terrible right now
In my last 15 games I had: 1) Nunu ADC running it down tower diving mid at level 3 2) Ashe ADC who won lane but got butthurt because she got roamed on, and just perma-pushed lanes until someone came to kill her. 3) Heimer top who purposely mimicked my every movement (following me to lane, following me as I tried to swap lanes, following me as I AFK'd) 4) Kennan + Diana bot lane (smashed ofc) 5) Numerous blind pick Teemos who got hard countered and lost us the game 6) Kindred ragequit at level 2 bc lost the scuttle fight 7) probably more that I'm not remembering Legit impossible to climb when 50% of my games are hard-trolled, griefed, or unwinnable at champion select.

: @Riot: Every rioter on the balance team needs to watch this video by Scarra
Responding to Scarra video.. I completely disagree with his thoughts on variance. League variance is has been trending higher and higher for years, and it can be argued that this higher variance is actually bad. Case in point, there are lanes when one death means the lane is completely over, and the enemy laner is free to roam and pressure the map while you are stuck under tower. This to me is extremely high variance, since 1 kill or death can completely make or break how an entire game plays out. Scuttle crab IS more variance (which Scarra rightly states), but I don't think its healthy variance as the jungler who gets a lead, or lane who gets a lead and can pressure will 90% of the time secure the scuttle, something which only further snowballs slight leads and leads to extremely high variance. Haven't listened to the rest yet, but it seems that a high level of variance means I myself have very little control over a game, since a bad teamfight, bad lane trade, or just bad matchup will snowball into small advantages regularly over the course of the game, even if those things are occuring in lanes other than my own.

: Even every streamer I watch is hating on league really bad.
I think this discussion essentially boils down to the fact that Riot made it very clear their intention was to turn LoL into a TEAM game (which they have been extremely successful at doing). However, what this means is that you pretty much have to be three times as good as your opposing laner to even have a chance of winning a game where your teammates get behind (something which you yourself have very limited control over). I've more or less stopped playing Ranked for this exact reason, as it seems a very large percentage of my games are decided by the actions of my teammates, which I have 0 control over besides maybe typing, which more often that not only results in your teammates just playing worse anyway.

That leads me to believe that you are at least partially at fault for the loss in most of the losses. Yeah but most of those champions (at least the current ones) have been played in my tilted matches where I have bot, top, or mid consistently dying and feeding the enemy team, once they pull ahead there isn't a whole lot I can do, I believe a KD above 1.0 or at least 2.0 is fairly decent with the games I'm encountering, and it's at least good enough for gold

Posters have already said, when these streaks start happening, just stop playing for a bit, cool off, and come back to ranked after you are in a better mindset, rather than continuing to queue up when you are too tilted to ever have a chance of winning.
: At what point in the game is Gangplank ever weak?
It's more stopwatch than anything else Imo.. First time you gank him, he flashes, next time you gank him, he stopwatches, third gank.. he has flash again, has probably ulted bot and turned that lane to enemy team's favor, and is preventing your top from getting 50% of last hits by just putting down a barrell and threatening an all-in. Stopwatch is too good at bridging the "early game weakness" of a lot of different champions to their scaling hyper carry-mid/late game status.

I don't see Galio changing anything, and would have given C9 even less damage when it comes to actually killing Janna/Kog. As long as Mystic has Janna/Kogmaw, the game is basically over. Worlds patch is so fail those champs are disgusting on that patch.

: I dont see the players being the problem. At all. You have had the same Coach for years, and every worlds event, they pick horrifingly bad team comps. Their team is underprepared, and nervous. They play sheltered and Unsure of themselves. Its the coaching. Just like in sports, Coaches determine the plays. They determine it by watching video and film and analyzing it. They then determine things like "ward placement". "Gank times". "Champions to play". "Champion Select Strategies". Then they coach their teams up on what they are expected to do. Then they are expected to talk to each other during the game, look for mistakes or weaknesses of the enemy. Have strategies for their exploitation. The first 5 to 10 minutes of a game, you should know what your strategy is, based on your composition, their composition, and video that you have watched of these teams. Longzhu has a goddamn Breakdown video BREAKING DOWN HOW {{champion:126}} VS {{champion:31}} WORKS. They literally did ZERO things from that video. They didn't even TRY. It was literally a clinic on "this is how to break Chogath." If over 3 years, with multiple junglers, and multiple players. You achieve the same results. And you have the same Coaching staff. What does that tell you?

What does that tell you? I couldn't agree with you more. Coaches need to understand not only the meta, but how their players fit into it. I think putting Bio on ArdentCensor only supports is a MAJOR disadvantage for TSM, but it isn't like there aren't ways around this (Nidalee jungle comes to mind) Beyond that, while Sven certainly didn't look very good as far as his choices of where/when to pressure, a LOT of that has to come down to coaching. It's not like Sven is a bad player, he just needs a coach who can help him adapt his pathing and understanding of where he needs to be on the map. Not to mention, the coach drafts a Top which NEEDS jungle attention, while simultaneously drafting a losing bot. Pretty hard to be both of those places all the time... People talk about how the players are afraid to lose, and thus don't ever win, and I think the same can be said, and to an even greater degree of their coach. Parth literally took 0 risks in draft phase, drafted the same "play safe and win late" comp over and over and over. Give your carries the champions to carry on!!! Not just trade cs for 20 minutes while slowly bleeding objectives and kills. Nothing personal, but its time for the coach to go. The same thing can be said of any sport, when a team underperforms, you don't get rid of your star talent, you get rid of the person mismanaging that talent.

: TSM, read this to stop losing games from champ select
Not sure what all the "Hauntzer can't carry" is about, the guy has proven on numerous occasions that he can hardcarry games. That being said I agree Bjerg should never be on a utility mid, complete waste of a monster player. Also DL has never looked great on Ashe, and with a tank mid and utility ADC they were never going to have enough damage to win that game without heavily snowballing. If you want to call any one player on that team out for under-performing as of late I would say Sven is the obvious call, he's been consistently making the same mistake (invading without pressure/back-up) for literally 2 splits now, enough is enough dude.

: #1 reason Yasuo is banned
There's also the common scenario of the Yasuo who starts 4-0-0 and ends 6-10-0, they think they can 1v5 the enemy team and play like absolute monkeys. Yasuo bans are just as much to prevent your own team from getting the "let's just have fun and who cares if we win or lose" type of player as they are to prevent the enemy team from getting it.

: Talon's hella broken
Talon can be extremely frustrating to play against when he's ahead, as his kit can allow for literal 1 shots (many people exaggerate "1 shot" but a full spell rotation talon whos ahead can do that to many champions). The thing is, in order for him to get ahead, he does have to play quite well in lane, take good trades, and probably cant 100-0 a laner if they are at equal power, more like 65-0 after harassing a bit. Frustrating? Yes. Broken? Doubt it, fix lethality and hes fine.
