Denial is actually a thing. It often occurs in response to less than fortunate happenings.

: Lol at least prophets try to explain why there theory will be correct, you are just talking out your ass. People ask you a question and you just divert the attention of what's really going on. If you have no proof then why make outrageous statements. If your answer was as simple as the game is growing older and by that theory will eventually die out then you would be right, but just talking to talk doesn't make you right. Of course LoL will eventually die out, but to say Riot isn't do anything to slow down father time is dumb as fuck. The fact that this game gets two patches a month as actually proof that they are trying, but to think that League will ever truly be balanced is idiotic. To keep people from growing tired changes must be made, every year dam near three times a year Riot makes pretty massive changes to make the game different, so it doesn't grow stale. With those changes comes new METAs that they then need to try and balance around. Right now people complain about the damage creep from things like masterys, or the fact that turrets lack any real defense, do you know why that is? The masses complained that games were stalling out, Ziggs would just clear waves for 30mins untill everyone was full build. So now with my damage games should end quicker? Right? Right. To say people are leaving if Riot doesn't do anything is ridiculous, people will leave because the game is aging and they're bored and ready to move on, or because like League they themselves are aging and life starts to kick in. Riot will keep changing the game, that is for sure, if you want to leave then see you later.
:{ ok. I simply stated what I thought. If that's an "outrageous statement" then I guess sorry for offending your beliefs......

They're literally 4x our population The game could entirely die out here and it wouldn't matter in the least, why do you think every mainstream movie panders to China now We literally have Matt Damon going to defend the Great Wall from lizard people
Lol, yeah. But a fifth or so of profits' loss is actually a really huge deal. No one wants that. Sure, there's room to grow in China, but limiting global growth for the sake of one region, even a large one, is a terrible idea. Find the intersection of what everyone wants, and expand upon that.
: You'd be wrong League is now massively popular in China, and as the movie industry has also noticed you don't actually have to appeal to NA for big bucks anymore
I suppose that could be a fair point. I certainly don't know exactly what those in China want or expect from this game. But if you're arguing that the crowds in other regions don't hold sway over what Riot considers "good business", then I disagree. I can't imagine Riot (or Tencent, or whoever makes certain final decisions) would be happy with NA falling out of favor with the game.

No really what the fuck are you trying to communicate. I would prefer you use simple words and cut the bullshit so that you don't get caught on another tangent of a tangent. If you would like I can reword the original comment so that you can give it another go. How can you tell that players are leaving en masse? Tell us exactly why. I don't care if your reasoning is some Illuminati bullshit as long as you don't try pull that, "Well how do you know they're NOT leaving en masse?" again. You made the stupid statement so it's up to you to prove it.
I guess I should apologize again. I didn't mean to enrage you. I hope this clears things up. I don't feel a particular need to reinforce what I said or go into particulars, since I don't view my statement as challenging the status quo. Unlike too many things in the world these days, the rise and fall of meager companies and organizations is a pretty standard thing. This is neither an unnatural statement, nor an unexpected one. So while I have reason to believe Riot is going to be facing some hard times soon, I'm not attempting to force anyone to change their "beliefs" (although it'd be really sad if Riot Games held such a sway in someone's personal life). If you find this confusing or annoying, there are plenty of other threads, you know.

Alright smart guy, sorry I come across as threatening. It really doesn't matter though, since I'm only stating a warning on behalf of what I see. I'm not sure, but it seems like you may have.

: Am I the only one that thought the "mage update" was meant to.. increase the power of mages..?
I've personally said goodbye to the likes of Rabadons, and decided to just view cheap components as budget-cost items in order to power-snowball ahead early on. I did in fact sadly wave goodbye to my dignity, as my average AP was cut into fourths, BUT I've just been starting to get a feel for how to make big waves with less raw POWAAA! Part of it has been forging more sustain earlier on (albeit in small quantities), so having the option to build directly into more power-heavy defensive items actually sort of excites me, especially with the added utility. Granted, only time will tell how this all turns out :P

: [DISCUSSION] State of the Season
As far as game-pacing is concerned, why not globally modify a team's inner-turrets' defense/offense/laser-prioritization to scale off the number of dead players on that team? For example, if inner-turret defenses were DEbuffed in this manner, then death timers could be significantly reduced, while still providing similar consequences for being killed. This would limit the enemy team's window of opportunity, necessitating better strategy and tighter teamwork on their part to be able to wreak more havok down a lane. As a bonus, it even encourages teammates to care more for the saftey of allies in other lanes, giving a greater sense of team cohesion.
: I thought this was funny af, one of the best april fools jokes Iv ever seen
: Meanwhile in the League of Draven... [Weekly roundup - Apr 1]
I feel I might regret it, but I'm going to place all of my faith in Rotating Queue. If some rioters think it's better to separate events from game-modes, so be it. Maybe that's a good decision. BUT (with an unwritten extra 'T'), if it ever becomes clear that Riot management would rather have something like URF gone, minimized, or forever diminished, we'll all find ourselves right back here, only far more permanently incensed. If the issue is that URF presents a conflict of divided community, having LCS on the one hand, and satisfying yet less-balanced gameplay on the other, then it's up to the smart business people at Riot to reconcile the two. That is, unless everyone at riot is comfortable adopting the image of themselves as being part of a company so giant it doesn't have to adapt to its consumers, or take any risks. In which case, good luck and see ya.
: When you expect a company to do what you want, you both lose out.
Why would any company adopt this sort of creed?
: I won't start an argument over this, because we're all entitled to our opinion (EXCEPT WHEN YOU"RE WRONG WRONG WRONG)... ahem, but I will state that trying to do URF would've ended up as a huge allocation of resources. It's not as simple as just "enable URF" as I'm sure you are aware, but it would've taken time to make sure that URF itself would be compatible with today's current patch, not to mention inner game balancing, and dear god, we all know Azir is going to get a bug from all of it. I do agree that if you have something that sells, sell the ever living F**k out of it, but I like how Riot is trying to put the future of the game over just two weeks of fun. Once Rotation Que starts up and running ( and we expand the length of it from just weekends to weekdays as well), then it becomes easier to have fun times, instead of limiting it to once a year. Of course, those are just my thoughts.
Given the prospectus of week-long queues, those in which any week may hold a favorite game-mode like URF, I'd imagine most of us would be duly content. But it's worth noting that overall anticipation would continue to linger with at least as much influence as today's anticipation, and the sentiment would only continue to build. That is to say, a failure to deliver would be overlooked by next to none of us, in much the same way as today's lack of delivery struck a chord.
: Putting URF in the game after all game - champion - item changes from last year isn't a 1 click process.
Right! Don't wait until the last minute to consider the option. Riot has the means to...plan ahead...!
: Riot: "Sorry guys, but there isn't an URF this April 1st"
Haha, okay, well then I guess Riot shouldn't have assumed. Of course the Community was going to expect Riot to deliver. (If not URF, then something at least as entertaining) That's part of the cost of setting the bar so high.
: To be fair, people assumed that there would be an URF, when Riot said they weren't planning to. They assumed, they inconvenienced themselves. Riot didn't do that.
Sure, no one at Riot did that. But a lot of people who play their game are pretty upset about a perceived loss of entertainment nonetheless. It still means that, effectively, the folks at Riot can either to do nothing to change people's minds, or they can address the situation in some way. (Mind the split infinitive.)
: miss Ghostcrawler .... hate Lyte !
That may be true, but I'll leave the blame-game to Riot. I just want to have more fun in League again!
: Meanwhile in the League of Draven... [Weekly roundup - Apr 1]
What happened to the fun we've come to expect on April fools from you guys every year? It looks like the team responsible just rushed in a Draven-head resource, patched it up, and found some old contingency footage, then called it a day. This comes across as a shaky attempt at cramming in some results to try to convince management you've been doing "stuff". Riot has over a 1000 employees, so why does this happen?
: Dear Draven
Riot employees: Sitting in office, playing too many games + avoiding responsibility = 3-day cardboard-stand-in Main Event. This is a plain as day red flag and it's getting a lot of attention.
: Dear Draven
Yeah, URF was exciting and new, plus it raised a bar. This is a one-trick pony that is already old and doesn't know what a bar is. Because it's a pony. It makes your company look very bad to us.

: Here's a post where you can ask questions about the stuff I've worked on, and I'll try to answer.
Hey there, Is Nidalee's viability (in lane) perpetually stuck between a rock and a hard place? First off, fluidity of her kit seems to have been gradually declining since the major Summoner's Rift update released soon after her overhaul (Which I love btw, great job making her shine while retaining her core). Anyone can point to some patch notes as to part of the reason why, but I'd cautiously suggest that her kit may also not be working as intended. Off the top of my head, these are the main problems I'm seeing with her (whether due to bugs, or my pc/internet rig): buggy pounce directions, spears that visually connect but do not register as a hit, unreliable spell queuing (a biggie), and the biggest one -- empowered-pounces on hunted targets randomly not activating (the indicator and the ability). Directly after her overhaul, being able to perform an empowered-pounce after hitting a champ with a spear was so reliable, I'd learned to know exactly when to press W, without even having to see/hear the visual indicator. Nowadays, I don't have any clue what to expect after landing a spear. Finally a bit about her build choices. She still needs tons of early CDR to be able to capitalize on her strengths the most (i.e. mobility, utility, area-domination), but with the current early game, prioritizing CDR means sacrificing damage in-lane, rendering her a non-threat to be easily lane-bullied (due to her squishy melee waveclear). On the other hand, a Nidalee without early CDR can try to ramp up early AP, but can then hardly make use of the rest of her kit to set up the plays she needs to snowball due to the technical issues above, and the predictability of her early attack pattern (without CDR). I'd really like to hear you thoughts on this!
: Nidalee Spears
Happens all the time here. I'm assuming it's a problem due to lag, but it's certainly frustrating to see happen, especially with her kit being so reliably buggy each game. Since she doesn't work, can people look into maybe fixing her?
Darblyh (NA)
: Nidalee Couger Form Bug
Wow, bump. Again, thought it was just me. This is a semi-consistent bug that's changed the outcome of many of my games. Seems like a real problem, please fix it, devs.
T Shirt (EUNE)
: Nidale's Q
Since it's sort of bugged to all hell right now, it only allows the Marked-Jump every once in a while, directly after a mark. Maybe there are some complicated rules that determine why this happens, but whatever. She's still fun enough to dabble in League here and there.
Aeko (NA)
: What are the nidalee jump mechanics?
Bump. Been this way for a while for me (unreliable pounce-commits). Directly after her major overhaul it was so reliable, I'd learned to know how long to wait before pressing w, without even having to hear the sound/see the indicator. Some point after the big Summoner's Rift update, it became incredibly screwy.. Here I thought I was the only one confused.
