: make solo Q SOLO Q there for no duos can abuse it. and if a teammate is asked to do such thing the system can detect it.
1) it was never, has never, and will never be called just "soloque". even in client, its "ranked **SOLO/DUO**" . therefore, duo queue will always remain regardless 2) better way to implement something like this is to simply disable it for someone if their duo is the one to disconnect.
: The ping and use voice to contextualize it. *ping* "Pink here" or *ping* "J4 there" or *ping* "mid MIA leaning bot" Which is better communication, except for the person not in voice chat who before might've gotten a quick word contextualizing it, but now will get nothing.
by using nothing but pings: \> enemies have vision here ping --- \> enemies are missing \> jarvan iv (alive) --- \> enemies are missing \> (general ping a predicted path) or \> enemies are missing \> danger ping botlane you can still be in voice chat and use pings to contextualize anything tbh.
: I wish we lived in such an ideal world. Here's how this will end up going in most cases: A person who uses voice chat won't cater to one person who doesn't... they'll just get pissed off about that person who opted out of voice chat ruining the game by never knowing what's going on.
this kind of implies they wont ping *just because* they're in voice chat though. pinging has become so natural its just muscle memory at this point, even professionals who are guaranteed to be in voice chat still ping each other.
: The problem is that once you HAVE voice chat, everyone assumes everyone uses it, and all communication is there. So the people who don't opt in are just factually at a disadvantage, thus pressuring them to opt in even if they really don't want to.
they don't have too; the existence of voice chat wont necessarily invalidate or disable text chat. this is more or less the gist of my argument. you don't really lose anything because you can still type or ping to communicate intents. just leave it up to the individual player to decide whether or not they want to use voice chat. some like me of course would rather enjoy it because im able to shrug off someone whining or something like that, and of course there are others who really wouldn't feel it, but its not really that bad an idea to leave something completely at their own discretion, especially because there isn't as i stated before any real obligation to use it. especially for those who use /mute all, it wouldn't be any different.
: [Suggestion] Voice Chat in Games with Random People (I know it sounds ridiculous)
its not really as bad as people would make it seem. its the same in literally every other game; all voice chat is "opt-in", you arent in it by default unless the game is heavily centered around comms.

Why? Explain. Why does anyone deserve more or less points for winning/losing? What is that reason not even tied to performance of it should exist? If I have been in a losing streak, I know this is going to be shocking; I've already lost a lot of lp. If I then correct mistake or gameplay, why should there be a weight holding me down? How does that make sense to you?
because how much mmr you lose is dependent on the opponents your fighting. if youre consistently losing to people statistically lower then you are (which may not even be punishing the mistake you're making all the time) then you don't deserve the rank, and as you said in another reply, were simply carried.

You an are justifying it regularly, in a thousand small ways, you included. The system gives dramatically different ratios of points on win/loss, but you talk about what may be bugged this season. If you would open your brain a tiny bit, the MMR system makes zero sense. If I told you how about whenever I win I get 30 lp and when you win you get 16 lp, YOU WOULD NEVER AGREE TO THAT. NEVER.
i currently do agree to that though. if someones mmr is truly that bad, then they deserve cut losses. whats worse is that this isnt even a league specific thing, this happens in dota, paladins, smite, and overwatch, and this is built into the basic fundementals of the mmr elo system itself. only difference is league uses a slightly modified version. the only exception to this rule, was as i said in the OP, when its a bug that aint right.
: How Riot and fanboys can justify a system that sometimes gives you less points when you win a games and takes more points when you lose, while simultaneously giving other players triple or even quadruple the points on a win AMAZES me.
not many have justified it tbh, not even riot. this in addition has only been happening this season due only to an mmr bug. hence the high elo reset.

the fact that you even mention klien proves you don't even know what you're talking about. the manbabies he was describing are ones who simply didnt agree that men shouldnt have been banned from pax, because he believed to solve workplace harassment would be sexism. no where did he say the lol community was toxic, and it wasnt even his job to handle them. and the reason those streamers are still toxic and playing, is solely because theyre only toxic on stream. as long as said toxicity stays out of the game itself, then its not riots problem unless they decide to ghost each others streams (which is in fact cheating). tyler 1 flat out ran it down even on stream, now that he doesnt and his chat is only moderately toxic then yes he is reformed.

: Do you guys think we need a 64-bit client?
well, the client itself regardless if it was build for 32 bit machines, runs (almost) fine on 64 bit ones. and even then bugs in the client affect both 64 and 32 bit machines the same. plus remember league still supports 32 bit machines. creating a seperate client imo would just introduce more bugs for them to fix, as well as give a good chunk of the playerbase the boot.

: Protecting children from abusive games act.
personally, i would say that depends on what you would classify as a "minor". to enter an EULA contract without parental consent, you only need to be 13. therefore, even if this passed league of legends wouldnt be affected, unless they raise the age requirement to play the game. i also dont see why a big company wouldn't just update their terms of service as well saying "you have to be 18 years old to play this game" to keep their loot box system. and since they most likely wont add any real age verification, it would be no different then porn sites asking you your own age, because yes you have to be at least 18 to view any sexually explicit content, and people just lie. therefore at that point its no longer manipulating minors. also would like to point out from what im gathering from the article, it extends to all purchasable content, including ones that arent truly random

p2w games lock all half decent content behind completely impossible to reach goals without paying money for some sort of premium currency, or having .0003% odds. you gain BE (a completely free currency) every time you level up. you dont have to pay for anything, and unlike companies like EA, there isnt a limit to how much you can obtain, as well as there being a free rotation in case you might not like the champion. these qualities make league the exact opposite of a pay to win tbh.
