: Let's Chat about Honor
I'm going to harp on the same point almost everyone is: A progress indicator. Let me preface the post itself by saying that I really do like the new system. It feels good, and with the changes that you all want to implement? It will be that much better. That said, let's get to it. The progress indicator is something that I personally feel is instrumental to a system like this. I've read a large portion of comments and responses regarding this, most notably the thread you've begun to link to. However, there are some very strong counter arguments. Ones that I don't believe you have addressed at all. I understand you may not be able to speak in great detail about some things, but there are some I would love to see a reply to, for example this one [here](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/l3xTFQnI-lets-chat-about-honor?show=nested&amp%3Bcomment=00000000&comment=000000000008)
: I don't remember seeing them at IEM Katowice.
You are correct. My bad. Should have been more specific. IEM uses soundproof booths for SC2, a game where it's far less of an issue to begin with.
GuuMi (NA)
: I think it's time to face the noise.
I honestly think this needs a Riot reply. Because if they don't understand that the LCS is one of only two (that i'm aware of), LoL pro scenes that **DON'T** use soundproof booths? There's something wrong. The only other one for LoL i've seen is CBLOL that doesn't use them. GPL, LCK, LPL, LMS, etc. All use them. GSL in SC2 doesn't use them, but it's less of an issue for Starcraft. Even then, look at IEM, or Dreamhack, or any major organizer. They all use booths.
: ROFL, I haven't heard of that, but that's amazing.
Proof I don't come on the boards. I only JUST saw this. DoA legitimately has some of the best lines, and the best ideas. He's by far my favourite caster, especially paired with Phreak or Monte.
: We pick skins in several different ways. We go into an ideation saying, "We want a new skin for x champion" and we discuss potential thematics for that champion - Mecha, Arcade, or even new thematics we've never done. We discuss the hooks of these thematics and then we vote on which ones we think are strongest. Those are then further discussed to come up with what we think works the best. The other ideas are stored away and can be pulled out for future ideations! We go in saying, "Hey, it's almost time for Snowdown, let's talk about the thematic for this year, and who we think would be good champions to support it." Similar as before, but this time, we toss out champions and the hooks that would make the skin really cool and fit in with the event. Again, we vote and further discuss and other ideas not used are saved for later. We go in saying, "Here's a thematic we want to pursue - Arcade." What champions work well here, and what's the hook that supports how awesome this idea. Same as before - we vote, discuss, and save all ideas for later. We also take a look at fan creations in these meetings - both from a folder we keep, as well as doing a quick search on Google. They're also considered when we work on ideating on new content! That said, we do bring up champions who haven't had skins in a while, just to make sure they're on the radar, however, they may not be the right fit for a thematic we want to move forward with/event we're running with.

But DoA's "Walker Texas {{champion:107}} " is quite possibly the best thing I have ever heard and so needs to happen. Have you guys considered this before?

: Some of us still Love Dominion
Alright. I wanna chime in here for a sec. Have I played a ton of Dominion? No. I haven't. Were the games of it that I did play fun? Absolutely they were. Do I want Dominion to stick around? Yes Now let's get to the real stuff. IN my personal opinion, the reason Dominion never saw a very big percentage of the player base is because it was never actively promoted, not since i've been playing anyway. Balance changes? Few and far between. Bugs? Definitely. Recognition of the game mode? Pretty much zip. There was never any reason for people to look at the other game modes. One or two featured game modes was never going to be enough. It needed to be maintained and it needed to be promoted. Let's say you were to promote the mode more, and clean it up. Maybe it wouldn't be as shiny and new as SR. But promoting the other game modes would probably help. I would be willing to bet money that if Dominion got the clean up and balance that it needed, and the mode were to be promoted, that the queue would start to get better. There's never been any incentive to playing Dominion, so of course it was going to fall by the wayside. As another sort of side point. Removing the map entirely is hurting people who like to have fun with friends. I have a bunch of friends that I used to play "Hunt the Teemo" with. Teemo was on his own, against a full other team. He couldn't attack, and could only build movement speed items. It was legitimately a challenge to catch and kill that little bugger. You stepped on a mushroom? Sure it wasn't gonna do a lot of damage, but due to his crazy high move speed, little snotrag would get away before you could find him and blow him up. It was hilarious, and so much fun. But this is the only map that allows this game to happen, due to the high number of hiding places. There needs to be more consideration for things that AREN'T SR. Look at the response the community is giving to this, they don't want it gone. So why aren't you listening to what the community wants, instead of taking what **_appears_** to be the easy way out? Emphasis on appears, big time. I'm more than willing to hear anybody that feels differently, but please. If you're going to say something, make your points. L4T3NCY, I would love to hear your thoughts on this particular view.
: I want to personally congratulate the team behind Jhin.
This was so well written and I could not agree more. I've been playing Jhin when I get some time, and holy moly is he ever a fun champ. Frustrating the first few times you play him, but once you begin to understand his kit, and his play style, he is one hell of a piece of work. His lines are great, his look is stellar, and the gameplay is fun. I think he's going to be popular when he comes out, and people start to understand him.
: What a coincidence you decide to do it the day the uproar about this subject is occurring right?
Honestly? Yeah big time. I generally pop on to the boards if i'm curious as to what Riot has been replying to as of late. Didn't see anything in the Red Tracker. So I posted something I was curious about, that I thought might get a Riot reply, if I was calm, remained civil, and provided numbers and sources for information.
: Yes ride that bandwagon up, your post has literally added nothing the 2 on the front page already.
Except I didn't even think that this would be part of the bandwagon. This was posted and researched merely out of my own frustration.

: The patch for World's will be 5.18 or 5.19. They already stated that there will be 2 patches before the worlds patches that will be balance patches, so worlds will NOT be happening immediately after they introduce a bunch of new items and reworks.
But does this counter the problem that they bring up in the video? There's going to be a lack of competitive play around these patches, which makes it difficult to balance for competitive AND casual. Makes it difficult for teams to adjust in time.

: What does your main say about you?
As a {{champion:91}} main, I legitimately have no clue. All I know is, when I have a few items? Your squishies better stay WAY in the back, or be deleted.
: Yeah, I didn't mean to suggest necessarily that this is a new problem this year. With that comment, I more meant to suggest to ask OP why the need was so dire now as opposed to before. I definitely agree that it would be great if the draft system was better suited for building out team comps better as a team and banning out stuff that threatened it rather than just banning the fotms.
As much as I hate to say this, because I generally hate the idea of taking from other games. Especially other games of the same genre. What about a system similar to the pick/ban system in DotA2? I think it's a very well thought out system, and with 5 bans in that style, you can really strategize.
: Will Windows 10 and League of Legends be Friends?
Hey guys. It's a somewhat minor issue, but sometimes my League of Legends client is blocked from accessing the graphics card, only ever when loading into the game. It goes away if I really quickly reboot the client and log back in, so as to not miss any of the game. Not sure if this is just Windows 10 and League not playing nice or something else. OS: Windows 10 Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 860M/Intel HD 4600 CPU: Core i7-4700HQ @ 2.40 GHz
: @Riot: Your LCS casters are so unprofessional
How do I not see any comments for Doa?! DoA is one of the most amazing colour commentators for eSports as a whole. Both Hearthstone and LoL. I mean come on, how can you not love the man after this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7R6D_gJ8h4M Seriously, that was just pure gold. I would probably die laughing with a Monte/DoA/Phreak tricast
Frigeo (NA)
: The problem with adding the other regions is that they don't use the same format as LCS. LPL has way more games than LCS and some teams won't be playing to same amount of games in a week as others. LCK has a Bo3 format where some teams could play 3 games in a week or just 2. So they would have to be seperate from the Fantasy LCS if those leagues were added to the Fantasy system. I would absolutely love to be able to draft Fantasy LPL or LCK teams but the chinese players would have an inherent advantage in being able to gain fantasy points if all the leagues were together the way NA and EU are.
This is very true. I didn't think of that. But maybe it would be good for a future consideration. I know there have been a lot of calls for Riot to change LCS to Bo3. So maybe standardizing the format across all leagues would be a good idea. It would give LCS teams a chance to be better practiced in Bo3/5 situations. We've seen that they can handle themselves in a single game format, but then they struggle in major events like Worlds. Besides, it's too late in the season to add it now. Just something I would love to see considered in future.

They had history and stories built around them. What story is there for Bard? Ekko? Nothing. They are just blank slates. There is a reason X-Men, Justice League, Avengers work. It's because they interact. You get to see the growth and hidden aspects of characters. That is my point. We need to make those stories for our Batmen and Supermen before they meet up. We haven't done that enough yet. Champion launches are not meant to do all of that heavy lifting, but it still needs doing. We often just don't want to start in The Avengers. We want to start with Iron Man. Both things need to be done, but those interactions are not necessarily best achieved when you first meet a character. Young Bruce Wayne looking up from his dead parents in Crime Alley to see Superman floating overhead isn't the best way to focus on Batman. You're right, we need that wealth of story, both individual and ensemble. I'm just saying that the ensemble is often a bad place to start for our Champions because we want to build to those interactions and focus on the individual character at their beginning.
I understand this, Jaredan. I really do. You don't want to start at Avengers, you want to start at Iron Man. But the X-Men are incredible characters, in my opinion. The big problem with this line of thinking is this. A little bit of comic book history: In the comic book series, the X-Men were founded by the paraplegic telepath Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X. Xavier gathered the X-Men under the cover of a "X-Mansion" at a large country estate at 1407 Graymalkin Lane in Salem Center, a city in Westchester County, New York. Cover-billed as "the strangest heroes of all", **the original X-Men consisted of five teenagers still learning to control their powers**. The series **started** with six characters. None of these characters had individual stories before. They didn't so much as **exist** before The X-Men. So what's stopping you (Riot) from doing things X-Men style? What's wrong with it?

: So, this made me curious, so I did a quick bit of experimentation. First thing you need to know is that it is indeed possible to break Vi's ult by getting far enough away. It's not the act of teleporting that does it, but the sheer distance created. Second thing is that to actually pull that off you need to be going really, really fast. How fast you ask? Well, about 2600 units a second, assuming Vi ults you from her max cast range and you start running away at the exact same moment. That '6' in there's a pretty important number by the way, turn that into a 5 instead and you'll only be running at 2500 units a second. That means Vi will chase you across most of Summoners Rift before finally punching you. She just keeps accelerating, so you need a lot of sustained speed to hit escape distance in the time you've got available before she's faster than you. So, how does that number compare to a Hecarim with Ghost as a summoner spell, maxed E and {{item:3270}} {{item:3069}} {{item:3142}} {{item:3172}} {{item:3172}} {{item:3172}} ? Well, when standing on the fountain with Homeguard constantly refreshing that'll get you to about 2000 movement speed. Not bad at all, but definitely not fast enough. Use a Powerballing Rammus with a Zilean assisting him on the other hand...

Based on that calculation, you could use {{champion:15}}'s "On The Hunt", and the initial 60 percent would put you at around 3200. The 20 percent that it drops down to is JUST short. Tack on {{champion:26}} and you could really watch Hecarim fly.

I'm sure he'd rather live in Zaun, where he might help old Mrs. Kingerneep with her groceries, or where Elphie down the street trades him for second-hand hextech parts and slips some candy in with the bag. Not in Piltover where your neighbors will sooner sniff at you than watch out for you, where there are likely dozens of classes of citizen, and saying the wrong thing means your children's children won't get to go to the slightly nicer school.

The way this all seems to me. Is two sides of the same coin. They're the same place, but they're different because of the people who live there, and the attitude of said people. Zaun vs Piltover is (in my mind at least) a fun way to answer the question "What happens when an unstoppable force, meets an immovable object?". Zaun is the "Unstoppable Force". They've made all these amazing technological advances because they don't have the same... "code" as Piltover, and don't care. They don't want to be anything like Piltover. Whereas Piltover is the "Immovable Object". They've got technology sure, they've made some great advances. But they won't budge from their moral code, what they see as right and wrong. To them it's black and white. They're set in their ways, and look down upon those in Zaun because they're different, and don't follow the same rules.
: It's not that you need to be colorblind to see the blue particles, your client will need to be set to colorblind mode for the particles to be blue. We don't have plans to change the particles - they'll be remaining green when in normal view and blue when in colorblind mode.

So, just a quick question. I don't play {{champion:27}}, and love the Talon skin. But if the team has seen the number of people who just wanted the particle to be blue, to fit the theme of the skins, why won't you consider changing them? Blue in Normal and Colourblind, Doesn't seem like too difficult a change, but then again i'm not experienced in the field at all. Merely a thought/question from the mind of a Web Dev/Designer.

It's 3 of SKT T1 K's players in their prime. At the height of their talent. So communication will be NO issue whatsoever. Faker has an infinite champ pool, and can adapt quickly.
