: Each LCS team and fan base in a nutshell right now
Liquid: Your Rift Rivals performance makes you a c**t! CLG: Whoa! Liquid! Liquid: What?! They're a cXXt! A cXXty cXXt! Whatcha gonna do about it ya big old cXXt?! Gonna cXXt all over us with your cXXty germs and cXXty cosplay and your... VA-GIIII-NAS?! C9: (*Hair flip*) (*Deep breath*)
: Which game do I need to watch for this mission?
If you're in NA, it seems like only NA and EU main split games count towards these missions. (So stuff like Rift Rivals doesn't count).
: Ye ye, go with your excuses. Here's the reason they won: THEIR ENTIRE TEAM IS UPBUILT ON EU PLAYERS.
Hey, I'm not saying EU wouldn't have won if C9 was at 100% but at the very least the games would have been WAY more competitive and I could see a healthy C9 at least being good enough to take a game off Xpeke's old vanity project. EU's homegrown talent is unquestionably very good and you will hear no argument on that point from me. I'm just saying, for NA's own research purposes moving forward, this tournament has too many tainted samples for it to give reliable data on how we try to improve as a region. ... Aside from the fact that TSM's International Play Debuff hasn't gone away in the time they've been absent from it.
: EU obliterating NA Part 3
EU certainly proved they were better than TSM at least. TL only dropped a single game the whole event and you could make an argument that C9 was only functioning at 40% of their normal ability due to their entire roster getting sick,Sneaky in particular being bugged so hard he had to be disabled for the rest of the tournament, not being able to call in any of their back-up roster, and their Mid having to adapt to ADC on the fly. (And before you mention Perkz, remember that he had an entire off-season to adjust to his new role.) So while EU certainly looks strong, the read on NA's relative strength is more inconclusive than it would seem on the surface.

: LCS TEAM REWARDS NOT WORKING!
I have both the LCS and LEC pass and, weirdly enough, the C9 missions registered just fine but the Misfits game did not. Not sure what the difference was.
: Two Franchises Returning
Reading that article... yeesh. All that money the Immortals organization is hemorrhaging on bad business decisions and they still find a way to backdoor their way into an organization that didn't want them because said organization saw the writing on the wall. Pity about Clutch too, as they managed to make a name for themselves off the back of one big upset and just had this plucky feel in general that I wish more teams had.
: Changes for the sake of change...not a good enough reason?
I like Morgana but I do prefer her wearing something that looks like actual clothes now instead of that weird Skirini (Skirt + Bikini) combo she had before. That said, I wouldn't mind a Pool Party Morgana skin that was a reference to her old look with her in a bikini and a big towel wrapped around her waist.

: Guess that it's veterans that take down the rookies.
To be fair "Doublelift plays better with a strong defensive support willing to go just as ham as he does" has been known about the guy for years, so it's not like he's suddenly been exposed or anything like that.
: TSM back in form?
It's because, despite what they promise each year, TSM plays to keep their stranglehold on NA and not for international success. Their entire philosophy is centered around holding NA down by exploiting its specific meta but that leaves them with little or no ability to adapt to different styles. It's no coincidence that, when TSM is not at an international event, NA tends to over perform expectations, as other teams are more able to adapt. Or why, for many regions that are not Korea, the second or third seeds tend to do better in general. G2 over in EU had this problem their first few splits, but they seem to have corrected this while TSM just seems content to double down on the strat.
: Meh. I am a TSM fan. But if TL wins all of this then props to them. TSM just doing what they need to win.

But if TL wins all of this then props to them. TSM just doing what they need to win. Yeah, but I have issue with TSM and how they champion toxic behavior as one of the chief selling points of their brands so to see that kind of behavior succeed is just disheartening.
: What? BB getting a quad? I was going insane over that. I wanted him to have the penta but props to him for realizing that game 1 win is more important than a penta.

Well, TSM winning at all tends to ruin the ability to enjoy a match. It makes it all feel so... pointless.
: No matter your fan allegiance
Pity about the terrible ending that ruined the whole thing though.

: c9 had a fantastic run and nobody can deny that
It's more WHO they lost to than the fact they lost that makes it sting so much. Aside from the organization and its fanbase being toxic AF, F'natic's kinda always had C9's number when it comes to facing each other at Worlds. However slim the odds were, I was kinda hoping this would be the year the law of averages caught up to the rivalry but I guess not.
: Probably because the Riot thread explaining that he was inting on 21+ more accounts had reached 8k+ downvotes, every thread about T1 being the best in the world gets upvoted to skyscrapers levels and he is praised as a god in twitch. The moment I saw him in the celebs matches I seriously considered never getting on this game ever again if that gonna-be-prison trash gets praised even by Riot now.
Ah. The Screaming Minority having far more influence than it should. This is sadly a problem all too common to my country these last few years. :(
: We Love You C9
If it had been G2 they lost to, I'd be less bitter. But why'd they have to lose to the LCS equivalent of Brexit?
: TFW NA idolatrize T1 but can't stand 2 EU players being cocky.
Actually, most of us hate T1 too and I have no idea why he's suddenly been given a spotlight again.
: I like Fnatic, but Rekkles is an awful person and human being. About as toxic as they come. Nothing says selfish, arrogant, and downright full jerk as tattooing your own name on your body... like... go away. I’ll root for FNC if they seal the deal against C9, but it’s mainly for the other players.
Meh. Caps isn't any better on that count, really. The only possible player I could see myself rooting for is MAYBE Hylissang because he's an OG Unicorn but... man, why you gotta sell out like that?

: How come Demacia is/seems to be more racially diverse than Noxus?
Also consider Old Lore Noxus called their invasion of the Freljiord "The Barbarian Pacification Campaign". That... uh... is a bit dehumanizing, innit? As for the racial conformity of the upper echelon of Noxus in modern lore, one possible explanation is that they CLAIM being all "your strength decides everything" but either don't mention or don't realize those born with a metaphorical headstart can consolidate power easier. Thus holding down those who would be their equals or betters on a more even playing field. That those who are in the "headstart" possition are always the Eurasian looking ones is a coincidence, of course.

: All these upsets..
I'd say, if you're seriously curious about betting lines, see if there's a Las Vegas-based service that covers e-sports (which I'm sure there is since, y'know, Vegas). BUT! I would also recommend watching VODS of the last day of this year's EU LCS Summer Split, AKA "The Day of Upsets" to see this kind of thing can happen naturally. Sometimes you just flip a coin ten times and it comes up tails every single time.

Yeah, the "put in their place", nose eighty feet high in the air attitude is one of the reasons I dislike the organization considering how much they cultivate that behavior. It's like the New York Yankees or the New England Patriots or.. uhh.. Manchester United? (Not sure who fits that kind of team in Soccer.)
Vlada Cut (EUNE)
: Except all other teams got punished for toxicity but not Fnatic, clearly shows they are a cool tilt-proof and a non-toxic organization , neither they had shown any kind of aggression during the intoxicating season 8 which made majority of players drive into sanity. It's YOU who is ignorrant here, your empty words are so empty they can't be even considered a statement. Until you prove anything you have just said I'm calling the dumpster truck(mods) to pick this mess up. And it WAS Riot who made the video about their great comeback because THEY found it worthy of complimenting, just like they put Perkzs in Rise video to compliment his determination which he used to get through all the struggles he and G2 have haf went through. End. Of. Story.
Yeah, because Riot has neeeeever just looked the other way when one of their "legacy" teams engages in toxic behavior (which is one of the reasons I think of them as TSM EU). Claiming a lack of punishment as proof is meaningless. And seriously, have you ever paid attention to Rekkles when the casters aren't verbally kissing his butt? There's a REASON people dunked on him crying on stage last year vs showing sympathy for Faker when he did the same.

: Team Liquid a huge disappointment
Nah. It was their first year at both MSI and Worlds. They gotta go three more time to win it all at both of them.
: Champions that I have no idea why they haven't been in Pro Play
The thing with most of the Assassins here, as well as Warwick and Kha'zix, is that in pro-play you need to build a teamcomp exclusively around them to make sure they don't get quickly shut down. It's too early in the tournament for that all or nothing approach. I think Oriana and MF have the similar issue of, yeah, they still can be deadly late game, BUT their late game state is currently MUCH later than the power spikes of the ADCs currently at the top tier. MF, as much as I love her, is also hampered by lacking the backline dive/escape potential of a Kai'za, Lucian, or Tristana. In addition, while a Double Up/Love Tap crit combo is nothing to sneeze at and her ult can do a lot of damage if you can funnel the enemy team right, if you're going to go with Tahm Kench Support, you're better served as a team by having the consistent extra damage of a Varus along with his teamfight focused ult.

: Viewing Experience reduced due to softer cheers
I think part of it is also be the local crowd may not be as into it at this point. It's just the early Play-Ins, none of the local teams are playing yet, and also the live audience is seeing the opposite groups of what they initially paid to see because of the day swaps. So even if the sound is somewhat muted, you can kind of tell they're not being all that loud anyway both because of those factors and because, while the games have been good, there hasn't really been a #LCSBigPlays/Baron Steal moment yet. We'll see if it still sounds this muted once the main Groups Stage begins.

: Misses fortune
To be fair, it's implied that Lucian and Miss Fortune have crossed paths before given their interactions in Shadows and Fortune. She also apparently likes and trusts him enough to try and ask him to stick around and help her lock down her control of the city, even though she knows he's going to say "no". Even not going down a "sexual tension" route, it would be kind of interesting to learn the story of how they first met and became politely friendly to each other.
: An odd topic, but have there been any interracial relations in Runeterra between humans and yordles?
And even if they are full Fae-like creatures, it's not as if a Fae has never had off-spring with a human in mythology/fantasy fiction either. So like, my guess is that it's possible but unlikely and until Riot releases "[NAME] The Yordle-Half" it's not something that will come up.
: Not a TSM fan but since when was Bjerg arrogant and toxic? If anyone it's Doublelift, but even then they know he's joking. Also if TSM wins summer split then that means the other teams are worse off than TSM facing internationally. Liquid already won and they got the same score as TSM when they were kicked out of groups. It's not TSM alone that is the one causing NA to look bad in the international level, it's NA as a whole.

With Doublelift, yeah, I wish he'd cut back a little but he does make it more clear he's joking and he's more than willing to let people goof on him in return. Bjerg believes his own hype and acts like he's the poor widdle victim when someone manages to make him eat his words or just fights back against his insults in general. It's kind of like how baseball used to treat Derek Jeter. Riot tries to keep his image all polished and squeaky clean but if you pay attention to his actual behavior you notice how artificial all that "nice guy" talk is and you see how he's actually a huge jerk.
