: the game is dying and Riot way to fix it is to massive spam internet with ads insead of fixing its problems lmao. A friend got like 50 loweffort different ads on youtube for League of Legends, not to say that was the cringiest ads possible and not even appealing.
You're assuming that Riot wants to fix League of Legends. Yes I'm sure some of the employees want to fix it, but as a company Riot has decided League of Legends is a sinking ship and are trying to make the most money they can before it collapses.
: Is it just me or are people slowly not playing league anymore?
Sad to say but the game has been dying for several seasons. The refusal to remove one-shot assassin meta is because it's "exciting" to watch, and esports/skins are where they make their money. If they balanced the game properly and reduced damage (or increased defense, whatever works) then the pro-play matches would be "less exciting" and less people would watch. That means less money. It's also the reason (guessing, but likely right) why chromas were introduced, to increase skin sales more by doing less work than making a skin from scratch. And the removal of TT and permanent addition of TFT is 100% because they can make money off of Little Legends. It's also the reason they don't allow people to buy them individually and have them in groups, so that you spend more money to get the one you want. In reality they didn't need to do anything with games like Nexus Blitz, TT, Dominion, etc other than bug fix. But these game modes don't produce money and cost money when there is an issue. Is likely what Riot thinks. Long story short, Riot is following business logic while ignoring good game design logic (which yes does include fun/decent balancing) to make more money because they know that League of Legends is dying and they don't really want to make a full new game that isn't League of Legends (and no TFT is not a new game it still League of Legends).
Hawt (NA)
: Have you seen the stats of play rate for each mode? Koreans have absolutely no interest in TT, near zero percent. Brazil barely at 1 percent. NA at 2.5 percent at best. Those stats are horrible. Riot sees TT like a waste of resources with that low play rate. I'm sorry for your lost, but TT play rate is too low to justify keeping the game mode as a permanent mode. I think TT has botting problem too. TT and Dominion could come back in a rotating game mode. That's assuming riot implements a rotating game mode, which could include past event game modes.

If and I mean if TT came back in a permanent "rotating game mode" I don't think players would be nearly as upset about this. But Riot hasn't released a permanent rotating game mode and likely won't. Honestly from a personal standpoint I didn't/don't play TT or Dominion that much and actually would prefer to see it a couple months of the year. Hell I would also like to see URF. Hexakill, Ascension, etc. But that would mean Riot putting the Rotating Game Mode as a permanent feature that would cycle through 2 - 3 of the less popular older/temporary modes for a month or so. Which I would love to see because honestly I still occasionally enjoy going back and playing those modes (have a lot less play time). Riot for the last Season or so says "ever expanding" runes/game modes/play styles & strategies, but in reality they only change things removing any actually diversity.
: New Thresh Lantern Mechanic
Mordekaiser's ult has plenty of counter-play already and doesn't need a champion specific one. {{item:3140}}/{{item:3139}} and {{item:3102}} comes to mind, but also anything that removes /blocks CC in general also counters him. Not to mention you can partially stop it by outplaying within the ult, I've seen it happen alot already. Hell {{champion:41}} being able to remove his ult on a low cd ability is already pretty bad. Overall you can stop Mordekaiser by being too tanky (mostly HP tanks in this meta), poking him down from range, or doing short quick trades because he will almost always win an extended trade. So no I do not think he needs more counter play, just a bit of fine tuning.

: Wanna know the scariest shit while playing as Yuumi?
I know this thread isn't a meme, but when reading some of the comments this came to mind and I just had to add this here. Dunk Master {{champion:122}}, "Remember the 5 D's of dodgeball: Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, and Dodge! If you can dodge a {{champion:350}} you can dodge a ball." {{champion:82}} uses ult, "Okay, now what?"
: Damage meta was wanted by the western player base; shorter game time was wanted by the player base; the lack of monster champions is because western players don't play them; the old rune system was strongly protested by the western community as being too boring for only providing raw stats; the rigid bot centric meta is because western players cry whenever there's anything other than adc and enchanter played at bot; western players were also the one who bullied Morello out of a job in the first place for his style favouring nerfing over buffing which the western players used to tote the "buff don't nerf" and now we're in an overloading meta etc etc. Hell, Riot even made the meta so snowbally and deathbally just so the western teams could win more in pro scene since that's the meta they like and are good at, despite constant saying they like the more strategic meta (spoiler: they don't). Western player was the reason why the game is it today. Riot made just about 95% of the decisions based on western players' feedback. In the end, we made our own bed, but we're just too embarrassed to sleep in it. That is all. Adapt or leave. TLDR - You can't please westrern players, their mentality is different from Asian one, where Asians adapt, western player will whine and cry.
Western players did want a "shorter game" and no they did not ask for a damage meta, but a lack of tank meta (when they were broken). Riot's answer to both of these (pretty sure not what most players were thinking) were snowball for shorter games + make tanks garbage and increase damage at the same time. I think a lot of players (based on forum posts) would have liked alternate game modes that were shorter, like Twisted Treeline, instead of making Summoners Rift shorter (which was only one game mode). And make tanks killable but still tanky without having people be able to burst them (and everyone else) down in one-shot.
: Blood Moon Mordekaiser, legendary tier. In a time now long forgotten, it was Mordekaiser who led the Blood Moon Cult with an iron fist. His rule went unquestioned by many, except for a young Twisted Fate, who thought himself much more fit to lead than the iron tyrant. After years of conspiring, he finally went through with his plan, striking down Mordekaiser with his own weapon before beheading him during the ritualistic sacrifice. Mordekaiser's spirit became trapped in the mirror dimension, the domain of demons, and many thought him to be trapped there forever. But now, centuries later, Mordekaiser has returned to the material realm to take back what is rightfully his, and punish all those responsible. **Passive:** A vortex of blood and souls. **Q:** An explosion of blood/ink that starts red but fades to purple and then black. **W:** Basically the same thing. **E:** Same thing, but more demonic instead of ghostly. **R:** Pulled into the mirror dimension, domain of the demons. https://i.imgur.com/ubI2EpX.jpg[] This is my concept sketch for his face/head. As you can see, he is damaged from getting hit by Nightfall. When he's in his R and after he kills someone with his R, the damage is repaired and he has the moon between his horns. I may also have it so that his third eye is closed and he opens it when he ults as well. For his head, I wanted it to be like a living embodiment of the Blood Moon symbol, with curved horns that resemble the crescent and something in the middle to resemble the arrow. I tried the horns curving down, but he looked too much like Alistar, so I had the horns curve up instead. I tried and eye instead of the moon, but that was too "Lord of the Rings" looking. I tried no beard, but it didn't feel right without it(what he's based on, oni and ogre, often have facial hair as well).
Who do I need to bribe in Rito to make this a thing. STFU Riot take my money and do this.
: people call katarina a "low elo stomper"
Based on win rates it does seem like she needs some kind of nerf but it doesn't seem like it a clear "nerf this champion" like in comparison to Lux. Unlike champions like Lux, Katarina appears to only have a higher win rates at higher elo levels which shows she is clearly a high skill champion. When as stated before compared to Lux who has similar win rates as high elo Katarina across **all** levels of play she appears alot more balanced. While I am not saying to not nerf her as clearly in Master she is broken, however in every other elo she is sitting at a much more balanced win rate. And to be clear personally I am fine with having a high skill champion have a slightly higher win rate at higher elos where the people who play them are much better at the game/playing the champion (as in 51 - 54% win rate). https://u.gg/lol/champions/lux/build?rank=master
: @Riot, No BS. No sarcasm. Just a genuine thank you for making item drop changes for 9.14
Agreed. I don't mind if the items themselves are random from the waves, but you should have 4 (base) items by your first opponent (as you said 1 from carousel +3 minion waves). 2 (base) items should drop from Wolves/Krugs, and 3 (base) or 1 (completed) item(s) from Dragon. These items can be random, but the chance to get items themselves should be static.
: RNGesus is not my Religion
I would be perfectly fine with a bit of random on the items if they made it somewhat consistent with the amount each player got. I.E. Minion waves 1 -3 each gave one item each (these items would be random, but you would still get 3 items), Krugs/Wolves waves would give 2 items, Dragon 3 items, etc. That would make sure that even though the items you got were somewhat random that you would at least get the same amount of items as everyone else.
: Juggernauts are Just tanks with damage tacked on for no real reason. Idk about you, but I have a harder time killing a Darius than a sion.
Juggernauts are not tanks and also Juggernauts are a sub category of Bruisers. Bruisers pretty much anyone who is not a tank that can deal decent damage. {{champion:266}} {{champion:31}} {{champion:59}} {{champion:254}} Tanks can take more damage but deal out alot less damage. {{champion:154}} {{champion:98}} {{champion:201}} {{champion:12}} Juggernauts specifically have little to no movement/chase but gains more damage in exchange. {{champion:420}} {{champion:122}} {{champion:86}} {{champion:82}}
: The Void creatures are physical creations that the Watchers fabricated in reality where the veils are thinnest between their planes. They don't really have souls, and even if they did, I doubt they'd go to the spirit realm after their removal. The thing to remember here is that the Spirit Realm, where Mordekaiser has set up his base of power, is part of the same plane as the material realm. The Void is the space beneath or between planes of existence, and they want to eradicate and remove all of reality and existence so they can return to nothingness. If they succeed, the Spirit Realm will also be destroyed alongside the material realm, as it's part of the existence on the plane Runeterra is a part of.
Never said that the consequences for Mordekaiser winning was worse than the Voids. If the Void wins we are all f**c*ed. If Mordekaiser wins we all die and he becomes the Lich King (you know what I mean). But in terms of who is a "more of a threat" based on who is the biggest baddest villain, I'd still say short run (aka biggest threat now) Void, long run (later after he has enough souls/power) Mordekaiser. Because honestly with enough souls I really don't think Mordekaiser could be stopped by the Void.

Hell Void creatures can still die. Imagine if Mordekaiser somehow captured soul of a void creature/Ascended/Darkin how much more powerful he would get. And even if those beings defeated him, he would only come back because he has permanent respawn. Dude the Void would eat Mordekaiser for breakfast lmfao.
I really do think now, yes the void. But Mordekaiser is an ever growing power that I think would overshadow the void with enough souls. And you can't stop him only delay his power.
: I'm Disappointed Over the New Battle Boss Skins
I'll be honest. When I saw the trailer I didn't think there were any Battle Boss skins, thought they were **all** Arcade skins.
: Who is the biggest threat to Runeterra?
I'd say Mordekaiser (in the long run) simply for the following reasons. He is immortal, can die and come back over and over again. Based on lore and also how his new ultimate works in-game it can be assumed that for each soul he captures he gets stronger. While yes the Void is a more immediate threat, Mordekaiser will only get bigger and bigger. Hell Void creatures can still die. Not saying it's right but even Riot said new skins are partially based on champion popularity (aka sale-ability). Part of me can't blame them for wanting to make money, the other part says 4 years without a new skin is ridiculous.
: Since Riot refuses to properly nerf Top Kench what do you suggest?
Not being a game balancer I would honestly say the damage on his swallow/spit. From what most people I've seen on the boards say it's the least fun/interactive part about him. Reducing the damage would not hurt support Tahm Kench and would allow potential to have better damage scaling on other aspects of his kit that allow for more counter play.
: ***
Considering that Mordekaiser gets 10% of your core stats (HP, Armor, Magic Resistance, Attack Damage, and Ability Power) when he sends you into the Death Realm this was kind of needed for balance. Otherwise the only possible way to escape it and not die would be to be hyper mobile or already fed. That doesn't seem too balanced on any level of play.
: ***
Going to assume this isn't a joke. The reason is that CC cleanse removes champions from Mordekaiser's (reworked) ultimate so they are no longer in the death realm. I.E. Gankplank Orange, Quicksilver Sash, Cleanse, etc.

I actually quite like Mordekaiser's infernal skin. The other skins are good to, but need to change the effects to match the skin. I.E. Lord Morde - Purple, Mace of Spades - Gold.
: I'd say he's reasonably stronger, being just as immortal-if not more- than them. Morde could probably pull any of them to his world and kill them, keeping them dead. Although it all probably depends on how the death realm interacts with each of their 'immortalities'
The real question is does he get more power the more souls he has captured in his soul realm. It is kind of implied based on how his ultimate works in-game, stealing a portion of his enemies stats and keeping it if they die.
: I think he himself is powerful but his threat doesn't necessarily come through in a one v one duel for the ages type of strength. He would probably lose to Ascended and Darkin 1v1 his "threat level" comes mostly from the fact that once he comes back he will raise another army and subjugate the living for eternity because he cannot truly die. So maybe on the Level of the tier 1 Aspects ({{champion:80}}), but stronger than{{champion:131}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:44}} {{champion:266}}{{champion:268}} {{champion:75}} {{champion:101}} {{champion:58}} {{champion:516}} {{champion:106}} {{champion:136}} {{champion:142}} probably still wipe the floor with him
I would agree before he became Mordekaiser that would be true (when he was alive). But after he came back he learned alot of magic, enough that not even LeBlanc's (presumably their connection is still canon based on the updated lore) betrayal and an army could keep him down. I'd say he is at least on par with Azir in terms of power. As for how he would do against a Darkin, don't know. Both are equally as hard to kill.

: I think god of death would imply he is a creator or influencer of it. Or that he carries it out. Which is more Kindred's thing. In fact he defiles death so I think he wouldn't represent death at all.
Let's put it this way. Mordekaiser has a permanent foundation respawn in lore. Not even Kindred can kill him permanently.

: I was just typing up an essay to defend this awesome piece of new lore but hey, I guess you beat me to it here! XD Don't know how much my word counts but I personally couldn't be happier with Mordekaiser's new narrative. He's in very capable hands.
I'm just happy to finally have a name for Mordekaiser before he became the Iron Revenant. Also a possible skin, kind of like how Barbarian Sion shows a possible version of him alive before Noxus.
: The bio is great but 2 things I liked about the old one: Mordekaiser always being his name (Although technically it was anyways so....and I like that his old mortal self died and he was reborn). I also preferred him being empowered by the shadow isles and being part of the mist. Plus him not being part of it doesn't explain his spooky green glow. He is still awesome and his lore is great but being a Shadow Isles champ makes him even cooler rather than just Noxus.
Pretty sure Riot is making it so anything to do with death has that Shadow Isles blueish green glow. I.E. Necromancy, ghosts from the black mist, champions, etc. If you notice even Pyke's ult and weapon has the same coloring and he is Bligewater champion
: Honestly I like Sahn-Uzal more than Mordekaiser. Sound's cooler imo. Also it sounds more like some lost language of the dead than Mordekaiser does.

: what champions are the best at cuddling?
Clearly {{champion:19}} should be apart of this list. Not only is he fluffy but his ultimate is literally a flying hug with claws, or so {{champion:54}} tells me. His advice is always rock solid.
: Juggernauts would actually be bigger than tanks then. Juggernauts build health items and generally generate more gold to build them. Tanks build Armor and MR items that were specifically nerfed to have less health and more resistances. The only exception to this is tank junglers who build cinderhulk (granted those are really the only viable tanks right now).
Tanks in general still have more HP than Juggernauts because they normally wouldn't build a couple damage items like Juggernauts do. So overall Tanks should still be bigger than Juggernauts. Also the Juggernaut items that Tanks don't build also have less HP than the actual Tank items.
: While I like the idea, I think size increases should only be minor. Some tanks already have big models (e.g. Sejuani) and a major increase in size could just make them way too big, especially if there are multiple tanks in both teams. Additionally, changing in size is a core fantasy for some characters like Cho'Gath or Zac. If every champion has access to that, they'd lose part of their uniqueness. For Cho'Gath his size is also an indication of his stacks and general threat, which might get obscured. And lastly, there are other important gameplay indicators that use size, like Steraks or Lulu's R, which might get drowned out or not show up at all if the targeted champion is already close to maximum size. On the other hand, I really like the concept of visual stat representation. Imagine being able to intuitively estimate someones strength just by looking at them, without need to check their items. While displaying damage threat is arguably more important, larger models according to your defenses are a step in that direction.
You could attach "size" to health. To balance it out "size" would increase a little for every 500 or 1000 health depending on which is better balanced. This would increase champions who build HP (which almost all defensive items have HP and some non defensive items), and since it would only be a little "size" increase it would not interfere with fantasizes such as Cho'Gath. After all ADCs don't get 4000+ HP and Juggernauts would be smaller than tanks since they don't build HP that high.

: I think Riot said they want Morde to be the solo laner he was always supposed to be and that they'll keep his AP juggernaut tendencies.
Yup, that's how he was originally until his infamous bot lane rework. I for one am happy for the change back to origin (with updated kit of course).
Rioter Comments
: TL:DR I'm very passionate about morde as he is my favorite champion and there is just too many things stacked against him to make him a very good viable bot laner. ( slow movement speed, enemy support, enemy jungler, pretty much any CC in general even slows just kills his ability to try to get close for the 3rd Q.) well as the morde main with 500k master ima swing that big dick around and as an AP build user and has been for the past 5 years, his Q is not his primary damaging ability yes that third Q proc can deal a shit ton of damage provided you actually hit the thing which in 1v1 skirmishes doesn't really happen unless they go in on you, most of your damage is going to be from poking with your E the DoT of your ult then your W, And in the context of a duo lane it leads to the problem you pretty much have to lane with either a Thresh, Leona, Blitzcrank, Nautilus or Alistar support just to be able to lock them down long enough to get there with his third Q charged prior or long enough for him to get it charged on them which at that point they could either just walk out cause Morde is pathetically slow right now even with W movespeed up, then there is also the hindrance of the enemy support could easily cc down morde letting there adc walk away, Morde imo was just riot trying to be experimental with another AP mage in the bot lane since this is when ziggs was really popular but it kinda failed imo buy trying to crutch him with another champion cause his W originally couldn't be used in a solo lane and the dragon priority was too good. I migrated from being a top lane morde main to a mid lane morde main. ( i'm very anti bot lane morde especially to the people who think he is nothing bot laner who only started playing him after his first rework.)
Unfortunately ADC Morde (no matter which lane you take him in) is designed to deal damage around his Q which is bad for a number of reasons. AP Morde does more (Q still does good AP damage) damage around his W. And yes the first rework was horrible turning him into (the only real way to describe him) an immobile melee ADC, which for obvious reasons does not work. This upcoming rework will hopefully do away with ADC Morde forever.
Tomoe Gozen (EUNE)
: I wouldn't build Morde ADC, ever. His kit is just so poor when it comes to range, gapclosing or even steroids which means that there's really nothing better he can do with items that give AD/crit/AS instead of going with his AP/AD Juggernaut builds. At least with Yi, he as a lot of AS, invulnerability frames, heal/tank ability, slow immunity and W that doubles down on AA which can proc AA based effects more. Morde is basically completely sterilized in that department that he actually needs to be a tank if he wants to survive a scuffle. You just don't want to find yourself anywhere near a ranged champion with a similar ADC item path or you'll blow up even before you manage to do any damage.
I agree that he is a horrible ADC and is just bad right now in general. But he is still an ADC (if you don't build AP). I have high hopes for his rework to put him back where he needs to be.
