: League sucks for the same reason its awesome...
Nah, that's not quite it. It's that the teams (both your own and the opposing team) are often composed of players that seem to have nothing better to do that spew toxic sludge everywhere the instant things start tipping even remotely in the enemy's favor.
: No, they are definitely NOT fine. They all need 1% crit chance.
: Support mains, what is your secondary role?
Why on earth would we need a secondary role? Nobody is fighting with us to play Support in the first place. Personally, I really like enabling others to stay alive and get kills (it's why I'm a Support main, obviously), so if I'm not the support, my second choice is Jungle. You can play jungle in such a way as to fill approximately the same role as support; tip the balance in your teammates' favor. You just get the added bonus of surprise and flexibility, while losing the constant presence that the support has.

Koreans. Korean teams have Koreans. That's the advantage.

: Help Can't beat Doom Bots.
Stop playing Tryndamere, for one thing. You can't afford to be sitting on top of them; you make an easy target for devastating CC that way. You need good long-range poke/waveclear if you can get it, and some way to deal high dps to Teemo once he appears. Give Viktor a shot if you can; the bots don't do much dodging, so you can often hit both parts of E (once upgraded, of course). Bots will also be hit by the entire duration of his ult, and Q damage and shield is also nothing to sneeze at.

West coast absolutely has playable ping. I admit Alaska and Hawaii are kinda screwed, though.
: By that logic you would believe a challenger Aatrox telling you to build manamune and essence reaver over a silver one telling you to go ravenous hydra and pahntom dancer?
That would be relevant if you could find a challenger Aatrox that would actually tell you to build those items.
: What's with the bias against players who play the meta?
It's not the meta that we have an issue with. It's the players that allow their choice of champion to be dictated almost solely by meta shifts and current (perceived) "OP" champions, without any attempt to play champions that might actually fit their preferred playstyle. There's no dedication to the game with that strategy. It's merely dedication to winning.

Overwatch plays much more similarly to TF2 than it goes League. There are some similarites in both directions, but the game is definitely still an fps.

: Your statements seem to be saying that the system cannot judge intentional feeding reports without human review, not that some cases are manually reviewed.
I suppose it could be interpreted that way. I intentionally left it fairly open-ended because I didn't know for sure, but apparently not quite enough.
: The IFS absolutely *does* handle intentional feeding cases on its own, and I'd like to request a source of Riot saying otherwise.
Does occasional review not count as human intervention?

: I was under the impression that they don't use human review anymore and only rely on the bot, am I mistaken?
Bots aren't sophisticated enough to examine gameplay and determine if excessive deaths is the result of extremely poor play or actually deliberate feeding. Heck, most **people** can't be 100% certain if a given death is caused by an accident/misplay/poor positioning, or deliberately throwing one's self to the enemy. Given that, the bot can't be allowed to handle punishments for feeding entirely unsupervised. Perhaps they only check random samples, same as they do for chat punishments, or perhaps they review ALL bans for feeding, but there's definitely some level of human moderation. http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect

garren9 (NA)
: I'm starting to get annoyed with the banning system
Intentional feeding bans require at least *some* human review; the bot isn't good enough to compare chat to gameplay and be sure that a declaration of an intent to feed was carried out. As such, you will probably not receive a notification along the lines of "a player you recently reported has been punished". IF that single game is even enough for a punishment (it probably should be, though). http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect

: I agree, it's wildly different, their definition doesn't seem to take into account human emotion. I guess it's my fault for assuming people would you know, think like people.
In a purely rational society, there wouldn't be any behavior that is deliberately inflammatory, as that would impede productivity. Since human society is nowhere near perfectly efficient, we can quickly conclude that people must not be entirely rational. Whoever deliberately starts a conflict where no long-term (and precious little short-term) benefit can be gained is obviously not thinking rationally. In this case it would be whoever started the toxicity in that game. It is down to each other person to *refuse to respond to said toxicity*, to avoid exacerbating or even simply continuing the negativity. THAT is what your punishment is for (assuming of course that you didn't start the conflict in the first place): participating in the conflict in a way that increases either the intensity or duration of the negative emotions/discussions/behavior. The bot catches both the instigator and additional participants using the same algorithms, but there is no need to distinguish the two because both are guilty, though of slightly different crimes. If punishments for starting a fight were in any way different from the punishments for joining in or reacting to inflammatory behavior, then the bot would have to be better able to read context. As of now, though, the punishments are the same; whether or not they should be is a different discussion which doesn't really apply to your situation at the moment. http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect
Tactrix (NA)
: but as you can see most of it isn't, it's just me responding to what they were saying(god I wish they would include the full log).
At this point in the discussion, the issue is that your definition of toxicity differs from that held by others (including, apparently, Riot's bot (which is directly influenced by player reports)). http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect
Tactrix (NA)
: My own "punishment" is a direct result of their toxicity, what you're saying is that if someone is treating you like shit you should mute them every game and ignore everything else right? Here's the problem, if you do that you will completely have no communication and MOST of the games will be silent. Now if that sounds like fun to you by all means be my guest and have at it. It sounds like a boring pointless game to me.
Whether you mute or not, the key is to not respond to toxicity with some of your own. Regardless of whether the provoked response is justified or not, it's still not good for the situation. http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect
: The champion Twitch, or is Twitch playing League? (Just imagine how bad a Twitch plays League would be)
Better than Bronze V =P
Tactrix (NA)
: First if that were even remotely true then most then half of them would be banned over me. Second if that were true they wouldn't have the results SECONDS after the game ended which it itself speaks volumes to the "fairness" you speak of.
The amount of time needed for an automated review is seconds or less. All it has to do is parse your chat for keywords that are typically associated with toxic behavior (fun fact: cursing alone does not count as toxic) and then sum it up to see if it's severe enough to warrant a punishment. As for the claim that others would be banned before you; just because others have not yet been banned does not mean that your own punishment should be delayed or voided. Perhaps what they're doing/saying is harder to detect, or maybe they haven't been doing it for as long as you have. Unless you've literally been playing with them the entirety of their time in League, you don't have the necessary information to say "they should be banned over me". http://i.imgur.com/1HvNiEO.png?noredirect

: How about a champion who re-positions something like Oriana's Ball, and all of their skillshots are redirected around it as if the object is bending it's trajectory like gravity? If you want to say this in mathematical terms, this object would serve as the **Focal Point**.
I had a void-themed support tank concept a while back with a dash (E) that would curve and extend around a singularity (Q). Same sort of idea here.
: Toxicity is good
Mute solves nothing. By the time someone figures out that you're not going to stop insulting them, the damage has already been done. You're free to vent, but there's no excuse for doing so in the direction of your fellow players. They're trying to win and/or have fun just like you. So find a more acceptable or constructive outlet for your frustration.

I am a people too. 99% of the players on LOL are people. Some are trees, rocks, and PE teachers. And 99.994% get by without getting permabanned, despite having emotions. That stat wouldn't be right. Also, maybe people queue with friends all the time. Maybe they don't play as often. Maybe they are kids. Maybe they are saints. I'm sure many people received bans. The board used to be flooded with people who got banned. If you were on a sports team of 5, and 4 of your teammates constantly call you names and things, do you just sit there and take it saying nothing back? Stay silent and ignore what they say, while at the same time trying really hard to win a game? What if you are exposed to that environment for 12 hours a day everyday? It's not that hard to understand.
The boards are *still* flooded with players that got banned. Thing is, the Boards make up a tiny fraction of the player-base; all these punished players make up well under 10% of the total player-base.

The artwork does look nicer. But i wanted the 16bit teemo looking like he just ate some shrooms and hopping around in a bunny suit in the woods while holding a green straw teemo.
That version was at least better than the placeholder "update" that completely lost the pastel art style of the original.
: The guy from the Vel'Koz trailer has sort of developed among the fandom into someone called "Helmet Bro" who has had a couple fan-made champ kits made for him.
Helmet Bro has existed for a while. Along with being very prominent in the Vel'Koz trailer, he (or at least the helmet) is also in a number of champion splash arts. Take a look at Kog and Cass splashes. Sion's splash also appears to be from the point-of-view of Helmet Bro lying on the ground (note the outline of the helmet around the edges of the art).
: That's passive-aggressive retaliation, and is therefore reportable and punishable.
Perhaps say "Please stop" instead of "You need to stop". It's a request for cessation of the behavior in terms that cannot be misunderstood. If you say that and then drop the issue entirely, I for one would certainly not consider it an excessive response.
: > [{quoted}](name=EvilDustMan,realm=NA,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=xUamMAfJ,comment-id=000100000000,timestamp=2016-10-17T12:39:04.591+0000) > > Considering that as soon as you came back you started being toxic? No it isn't. It's perfectly legitimate. I had been playing for more than 2 weeks. Also, there is always a reason someone is toxic and it may be reasonable. The game I was banned from, I was playing blitzcrank. My team would constantly harass me, telling me to grab starting 3 minutes in, when it was obviously not the time to grab. And they started harassing for no reason while constantly feeding the enemy team. I finished 1/2/3 in that game and our total deaths were 22. That triggered me, and in the course of the game I said things back at them, which is only natural. I can't just maintain a state of nirvana while playing a game... people have emotions
Justified or not, allowing your frustration to dictate your behavior is not a good idea. Find a more constructive outlet; channel your emotions into a stress ball on your desk if you have one handy.

: For those of you know aren't in the loop - Anthony Burch wrote stuff for the Borderlands games and is related to Ashly Burch from the "Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?" internet series. His main piece of work was the Presequel which he filled to the brim with feminist propaganda and viewpoints that noone cared around (rg. iirc there's a part where some character explains that the friendzone is just a misogynistic construct). He's also infamous for being the origin of the "cuck" meme since some of his behaviour is really lamentable - He framed a tweet from Anita Sarkeesian and was in an "open relationship" with his wife who then left him.
That would be Torgue that says that thing about the friendzone. Honestly I didn't pay much attention to the exact meaning of a large part of the dialogue in that game; I was just there to shoot stuff with humor.
