: I feel like this topic should get locked so I don't get banned from writing 30 paragraphs about human biological determinism, clustered genetic variance, and biological realism, taxonomical revisionism and refute the "out of africa theory" with the multi-regional hypothesis. Yes, humans are animals. There are approximately 16 different X chromosome haplogroups with different roots and origins and places of derivation, there are some 4-5 mtDNA haplogroups each with their own derivation and origins. The human "race" is far more nuanced and complex than social scientists and pop-science like Bill Nye want to lead gullible idiots into believing. In all of nature there is NO equality, there is *order*, there is the *order* of life, the Lion eats the Gazelle, the Gazelle eats the grass, the dead fertilize new growth to feed the herbivores, the herbivores feed the carnivores, and the cycle is complete. There is order and structure and perfect harmony. As Nasus says "The cycle of life and death continues", all organisms compete for survival, for space, for resources, for breeding and sustenance. "Human beings" need to be reordered on the taxonomical tree. There is a smaller biological divergence between Chimpanzees and Bonobos than between Native Sami people of Sweden and Sub-Saharan Africans. We recognize the differences in "lesser organisms" like lower order apes; IE... chimps and bonobos, but we WILL not turn the lens towards ourselves... There *are* distinct sub-species within the genus "homo" and they should be recognized for what they are. There are 14 different sub-species of brown bear classed, scientifically classed, as *races* of brown bear and we understand this and accept this. The "Human race" is no different. Even among Europeans, the structure of the foot can show from which region we're descended, Celts, Romans and Germanic descendants have different foot shapes and different phalanx (toe bones) structures. We adapt and evolve to thrive in a set environment, no different from the Kodiak and Grizzly, two subspecies of brown bear... it would be morally and ethically wrong to force the mixture of Kodiak and Grizzly bears by artificially introducing one to the other environment, and so... as an intellectually honest person I have to assert that human sub-species conservationism is an integral facet of any environmental protectionism. As Madison Grant once said; "No man has divine commission to pollute the streams with sawdust, to destroy the forest with axe and fire, or to kill every living thing within reach of trap, shot or poisoned bait. The mere fact that man has the power to destroy does not, in itself, confer a right" I find it morally reprehensible to disrupt the order of nature that has emerged through reproductive success for the sake of proving some arbitrary moral supposition. tl;dr. I agree OP

I agree OP I don't know a lot about the deeper science of it but I just had some feelings. I was trying to come up with some counter-arguments to my thought and I said "well isn't the beaver just following some natural evolutionary impulse to build a dam? It's not the same as human tool-making and use" That's when I realized this is a totally backwards way of thinking.

The certain parameters that every player has to play by is to try and win the game. There is nothing stating a support has to go bot and babysit the adc. There is nothing stating that the top lane has to go tank. Vayne, Kennen, Rumble... All viable tops yet they are not tanks. There is nothing stating the mid lane has to roam. Xerath, Lissandra, Syndra... All viable mid laners that don't have to roam to win the game. There is nothing stating the bot has to be an adc. *Old* Mordekaiser, Sona, Vlad... All viable bot picks that aren't attack damage oriented. There is nothing stating the jg must gank. *I don't jungle but, I can promise you there are champs that don't have to gank to win a game.* These are all just customs we learned throughout the years. A new strategy involves changing ones play-style AKA Sona and Taric bot lane. As for your "carrying my team is part of expectation when queuing" that is nothing more than someone's personal experience. I can promise you not every Support main goes into a game thinking "I better pick a carry champion so I can gaurentee my win" The Support main will pick the appropriate support and play to get their *TEAM* to win the game. Notice how the adc is not a specific win condition there? If my adc is not performing well why would I put my trust in him when I can go mid who's actually performing and get them ahead. Granted that is not the setting in this situation but, I was just proving a point. Just because someone is trying something different and out of the ordinary is not a bannable offense. The fact of the matter is Riot suspended Nubrac BECAUSE of NightBlue3 *Proof in the 14 day suspension notice Nubrac got* Not because the new strategy he was trying was trolling. If it were they would have also, linked other games inside that suspension notice. Next time come back to this board with facts not your opinion.

I dont even try and rely on my teammates in solo q because when you do that you set yourself up for massive falure. The best way to carry games it to play selfishly and dont expect your team to help you so that way when they dont help you you arent shocked and tilted because more often then not your team will leave you in the dust. This teemo, does his own thing and doesnt type or anything, play shis strat and believes it will get him victories it has a 48% winrate and would be far higher if half of the loses from it werent people afk and mentally giving up. Nightblue was literally the only person that soft inted in the game, he literally sat at fountain instead of even trying to win the game with his team. His mental went boom and riot is basically babying him and tending to his wounds. We shouldnt be supporting bad mental, its toxic af. half this guys loses would be wins probobly if not for his team giving up thus increasing his winrate by a good amount. The strat isnt any less viable then the mastery yi taric boosting strat in top or mid lane. Nubrac is a Faceless and is being persecuted for trying to shape the meta and think for himself while not being a pro player. It's still a team game and when you queue up for League there is an expectation that everyone is going to do a certain thing. Whether or not you agree it's pretty clear that's how it works
: >I also believe that there needs to be a change in policy at Riot Games. I do not believe that someone has to ask before playing a strategy that they are comfortable with, especially when the meta is as toxic and stagnant as it is now. A change in the meta is due, and anyone searching for new ones is welcome in my book. If your strategy involves actively hindering or harming your teammates you need to ask. That's why the Singed 'support' and such got in trouble: because they just up and left the adc to 1v2 the entire game without telling or asking them, which means the adc player is guaranteed to have a miserable experience in return for Singed fucking around. In this case, the Teemo outright abandoning bot to a permanent 1v2, and then constantly leeching off mid means he's harming the play experience of mid and adc in return for fucking around. >I do not believe that this Teemo deserves to be banned. He was not actively trying to lose, nor was he trying to troll a specific player. A rioter actually already clarified this: the Teemo's winrate with this 'strategy' is terrible, and he only does it whenever there is a high profile streamer on his team while plugging his own twitch to try and feed free views by being an asshole to the other streamer(s). Likewise there are quite a lot of quotes from other high elo players confirming that the Teemo does this consistently and ruins the play experience for his entire team. The Teemo likewise just mutes everyone and then does this, so he is obviously not trying to communicate or work with his team, just troll them for views. I think NB3 maybe should be punished for his ingame behavior, but the Teemo ban is entirely justified. Nobody is having fun when they are mid and stuck several levels behind their opponent thanks to a trolling rat who refuses to leave, or when their botlane is stuck in a perpetual 1v2 watching as the enemy gets free gold plating, dragons, and turrets.

I have always wanted a character with a real giant-chakram kit, hopefully they execute this well. Sivir kind of sucks in that regard but her weapon isn't really a chakram I don't like her white hair, I figured darker/brown hair would make more sense for the region she's from, unless this is some kind of new "Iceborne" since I think Riot said all Iceborne have white hair, but some "Borne"s aren't strictly Ice based. Also hopefully she's not literally the master of elements since that kind of downplays other characters like Anivia, Ornn, Brand, etc.

: Yuumi's Winrate is 29,71% in plat+.
JFC I can't believe people are still confused about win-rates on new champions Day 1 stats are almost never a good indicator of what a champion is really like

: This feels like an issue of what came first, the chicken or the egg? Are monsters unpopular and therefore don't get a lot of frequent spotlight or content, or are they not popular because they don't get a lot of spotlight or content? For me, it's really simple. It's the first. Why? Well, I want you to list me the number of stories, TV shows, Anime, literally any piece of Media you want, where the main leading character is a Monster. I know there's a few, but the few that exist are hugely outnumbered by the amount of Media where we have a human, or humanoid (Dwarf, Elf, human-relatable-looking character). And that's really it, you said it yourself, we empathize and relate most to humanoid characters. Keep down the same train of thought, you see where Monsters are typically left in the spectrum. They're the villains, the mysteries of the world, the surprising ally to the main group whose remarkable for 'overcoming their nature'. Why do you think when Authors want to make monsters more empathizable, we give them more Human-like Traits? When we start to characterize them as people, instead of Monsters, they tend to gain traits akin to a human, concepts like Family, Loyalty, Honor, things that aren't...well, Monstrous. If it makes you feel better, you can believe all you want that the only reason monsters aren't popular is because Riot doesn't give them any spotlight, but you're gonna be hard pressed to find the evidence to back it up. It's really easy to find an appeal in a human character, but it's a lot harder to find the appeal in a monster whose completely benign.
The Egg came first because Dinosaurs were laying eggs long before the chicken evolved
: The vote for a 2020 VGU is up
Shyvana because I'm interested in seeing a more distinct dragon form Fiddle is too iconic to change. At the very least he should keep his ult. Guaranteed rework anyway. Nocturne has fine gameplay and could just use some art updates and refinement to his spells and i enjoy playing Nocturne Mid. Mundo is fucking garbage and needs a full rework badly but I'm so fed up with the character I couldn't care less, he'll be updated for sure later anyway. Volibear is cool and turning him into a mindless rage-beast is stupid. Also would bring more stripping of old-school easter-eggs like Zilean vs. Volibear.
: Alternative: Don't do dumb level 1 fights?
I play mostly top lane so I move to defend top-side jungle when the game starts, it's always the other dips on my team trying to fight / invade/ being invaded at bot-side.
