Yuumi's weakness is they aren't a full champ in terms of what they do. They are basically anywhere between .25 and .5 of a champ. Their biggest asset is the fact they can follow champs in on routes most supports cannot take, and being ganked by 1.5 champs is still better than being ganked by 1. Play yuumi a bit. I mained them for a long time. It was fun at first. You are a buff not a full champ. It did take more skill originally but they kinda hammered down the skill ceiling and raised the skill floor a bit. But it's still just meh. The q barely slows, the heal is nothing unless you get unholy grail. The adaptive force you give to the other player is cool, and the ulti is great, but you can only nerf a champ so more before a rework happens. They got 5 big nerfs in a row. Chill out. They are bad now. They got a 43% win rate.

Hey here are my opinions on some stuff you said! I'm a gold player and mostly main support or jun so these are all just from that viewpoint. 1. Autofill / MMR I heard autofill is an issue for some people that like mid and adc, but those are sort of my least favorite roles so I can't really say too much about it sadly. I pretty much always get the primary role i go for. MMR on the other hand it is just so weird having a team of bronze peeps and on the enemy team just like 2 plats like, why? Skill difference shows every time. Also just like every inequality it always feels like the enemy is in the good spot. 2. Bans It's a bit insane with some stuff people get away with definitely. But it is also extremely hard to tell the difference between intentional and just being bad. If people got banned for being bad, half of us would be out xD I think the tribunal system would be a bit better for it, getting to see who pinged, who the person had muted, and what sort of situations they go into on a regular basis. Not really sure how the system works now, no one really does, but I think it would be hard to make something that takes all that into account. 3. CDR I love CDR. I get it's build on 75% of champs in the game (to 40%), and that currently it's a balancing factor. I do believe there should probably be a system overhaul for it, but it is kinda at the core of the game so much that reworking it would mean reworking the majority of the roster which I don't think will ever happen. Would be nice to have a bit more item freedom for some people but the fact it's a choice to build it or something else is nice. 4. Jungle So i have been maining jungle more and more lately, and I get that the rng gods need to bless you with a good team or you just kinda fail. I sort of see it a lot like playing a support that deals damage (Pyke) but on every lane with minigames inbetween. Objectives are a big thing in the game, early drags are awesome and i like playing the champs that can take it level 4. But even at that point you kinda need your team to make sure you don't get ganked while soloing it. As for gold / exp distribution, I don't know too much about it in all honesty so it's best left silent on me. 5. Problematic champions. Every champion can be a champion me and my friends just say "Really, f... gosh that stinks" (Riot overload i used good words pls no ban). Low skill champs seem to be your biggest issue and I completely understand. But the best thing about them is the champs with higher skill ceilings typically trump them once you know em. Good strategy and ganks can help them be less problematic overall. Some champions have combos that you just think, "How is this fair, what kind of counter play can I even do against this" and the fun fact is that most champs, builds, oppressive combos, have some sort of counter play associated with it! Sometimes it is associated with what champion you play sure, but team communication often helps. To my knowledge the only champ it's better to go against alone than to group up on is {{champion:420}} which in herself has counter play options.

As stated above it is a flat out "You do 40% less" to a player. It's an extremely oppressive game mechanic.

Yup I play Soraka and Yuumi. Not so often yuumi since the constant patches made her a bit more brain dead and less fun, and less and less on raka as grievous wounds has kinda got me hard. Soraka I have played for many, many years even back before the many reworks, so this is a champion I know inside and out. As for the win rates I won all my placements and got placed in Iron 4 where i quickly rose to gold and still going. The support role I normally only play with friends that i know well and talk with through discord to make sure we are a bit better off as communication is really important as a support since you make your team better, not win the game yourself. My experience with these characters is why I posted about this. It is a frequently oppressive game feature that is just insta bought to counter a champion's entire mechanic. Edit: Also searched ya up and noticed you mostly play adcs and kinda see why you would be against mechanics that counter a bit of cheese from an incredibly cheap item.
: The problem is, in combat healing is considered a negative play pattern. It's frustrating for players to dump all their damage onto a target only to be countered by the enemy Soraka negating a large portion of their damage. They want healing to happen out of combat because while it may undo what you accomplished in a trade, it doesn't fully prevent a target from getting burst down if they get appropriately caught. Giving healers a way of ignoring grievous wounds would mean they'd have to nerf their healing to the point of being a non-factor in all situations.
I appreciate that you are kinda the first person to comment with the actual dps view style of this is how a dps centric view is, without just saying "This is dumb" so thank you for that. Just because healing is good doesn't mean it should be a less important aspect of the game. I like to view at as three different play style for champs in general; DPS: You kill people! Loads of ways to do it, pick your favorite! Tank: Get in there lock important people down and give your team a chance. Support: Make sure your team does better at not dying and killing people. There are shield peeps, vision peeps, healers, buffers in general etc. For the purpose of this post i have focused on the healers since they typically just heal and have some very minor cc/damage that pretty much means nothing. Because of how the game works out tanks and support kinda revolve around dps because they are kind of the get stuff done champs. Now let's put grievous wounds into something that fits the other roles and let's see how frustrating it gets. DPS: There is an item for 800 gp that says while this champion is in a fight you are also in, you deal 40% less damage. Not just to them, but anyone they are near. Tank: There is an item for 800 gp that says while this champion is in a fight you are also in, you take 40% more damage. Not just from the person with the item, but their team as well. Grievous wounds doesn't just affect the damage you deal being harder to heal, but your team's damage as well, for 4 seconds after they stop being attacked by you. The only other item in the game that has close to an effect like this is {{item:3001}} which makes people take 15% more magic damage, and is a tank item. Now grievous wounds if it fell more into support type items rather than dps that would actually be a great mechanic since you are helping your team in the killing faster, still oppressive but it makes it so the support needs to be in a fight as well. A vayne with grievous wounds going into a soraka and their adc instantly makes the fight 1.6 v 1 rather than 2v1 as it probably should be. No other items or effect in the game block a character's effectiveness with no counter play to the extent of this. And it's not just the fact it does this, but that it can be bought for so cheap as well, and be put on a fairly constant effect such as auto attacks. There is 0 counter play for this.

Have you played em? They are actually pretty hard to get good win rates on, even yuumi has a 10% less win rate until you get around 50 games on them which is why stats are a bit wonky on em, higher skill to actually be useful. Soraka you can't just heal spam or you die, and you need to know who to focus and win just like damage dealers, but on teammates. Counter play is great, but not when it is oppressive. Imagine having an item on the enemy team that says you, your champ deals 40% less damage while they are in the same fight as you. That is what grievous wounds are rn to healers.

My idea was to make a unique passive like "Your healing to allied champions ignore grievous wounds." If you were to go with removing it from items and leaving it in aa few kits and ignite that would be absolutely awesome in my eyes. My biggest issue is just 800 gold {{item:3123}} makes adc's block out a lot of supports rn, and when enemies have {{item:3165}} they just kinda lock ya out. I fully support counter play being there to make self sustain not as great. But I really think that at least a high cost item should make it so you can heal an ally when you play like yuumi or soraka where you can't do much more than just heal and minor cc.

As for clearing debuffs crucible is alright but it doesn't give like a period of immunity or anything so if you are trying to clear slow spam off of your tank so they can get out, well it's slow spam so they just kinda get slowed again sadly.

I think that tank items are a lot more interesting than most other items in the game due to a ton of special abilities they have, that being said tanks are kinda lacking the big stat sticks other roles (except supports because who cares) have. There is also so many item counters to tanks that in late game you are kinda lucky if you live 8 seconds in a team fight because the enemy team has so much damage, armor pen, grievous wounds, magic pen, etc. That just negates your stuff. Small scale fights feel awesome but in team fights it's just like, why am I even here?
