Bad games aren't consistent. Foul behavior is. It is a permanent problem for them and the rest of the community. Sure **A** player may have to only deal with it for 20-50 min, but the rest of the community has to deal with it the entire time that person decides to play the game, if no one reported because "BOOHOO They said something mean". Ergo, PERMANENT PROBLEM. I'd be willing to bet people like that extend that behavior beyond the realms of a game too.

He's right, it's a mindset. Half of climbing the elo ladder is learning how to maintain a positive mindset.

: Except for the fact that they have a known pedo on their team, that's awesome.
: Then there's the rare occasion when Dyrus has had enough of everyone's shit and decides to go ham and carry.
TSM taking a while to close out games wasn't due to a lack of good decision making or the fact that they were struggling in any way, the two caster pointed this out. They were slow to close out games because they were trying to do so SAFELY, and without any sort of siege champions. Lucian, Zed, Lulu, Lee Sin, and Annie is not a siege heavy comp whatsoever, given that two of these champions are melee and Annie is the only one with a long enough range to break turrets from a safe distance. If you notice, TSM wasn't faltering while closing out their games, they always had a clear objective in mind. They would usually get a few kills, then head straight towards the baron or dragon area, secure the vision, then take the objective. Their two wins were both relatively controllled, only being slow due to the comps they chose.

: {{champion:62}} i spent all my money on his skins, because of this decoy and nimbus, and found out that he isnt as fun as i thought he would, regret and refund, recycle if {{champion:157}} was released earlier, yes, Yasuo would be great,
I literally did the exact same thing to Wukong at level 27-ish!!!! I regret using my refund token ever since. I spent the 4800 on buying {{champion:8}}
: anivia, because her W reminded me of sentry forcefields in starcraft2, and her ult was like a giant slowing psi storm! took me about from level 2 to level 19 before i discovered that i could manually detonate her Q to get the stun before reaching max range... reading tooltips is hard :(
First thing I tell anybody asking me how to play a champion: read the moves first. Lol
: Singed, I'm a huge fan of alchemists in fantasy type settings and his play style matched up with his lore meshed well. I loved the ability to walk over minions and clear entire waves, in addition to punishing those that pursued me through trolling.

: zyra. i thought the idea of summoning plants to fight for you was fucking awesome. i finally was able to play her in free week and loved it. saved up IP and got her (the grind seemed like it took forever). then after a month or 2 she was brought down as a support and called OP then nerfed. i miss her, but shes near unplayable mid, and i hate support zyra.
I have a friend who's a pretty big fan of Zyra support recently, him and I go Graves Zyra and completely destroy lane.

: @Riot team, can you guys PLEASE finally acknowledge Ezreal's problems? It wouldn't take much.
I haven't noticed many problems with Ezreal actually. He was the first adc I mained in season 3, and i still play him from time to time and I never have any real issues with him. His identity is still a pretty clear AD caster, capable of long range poke and short range burst. He has low movespeed but compensates for it pretty well with a blink E that has its cooldown reduced by his Q. He hits some pretty major powerspikes after completing sheen and then tri force, and he scales pretty nicely into the late game. The only thing I would chage about him is how useless his W is in terms of damage if you're playing adc Ez. Legit the only time I ever use it is when I'm A) completely all inning or B) pushing a turret. I almost never use it in lane. Either way, Ezreal's probably one of the more balanced ADC's out there right now. Not as bad as Urgot or Varus, but definitely not as overloaded as Kalista.
: K so can we give Nidalee the Kassadin treatment now
Nidalee is currently the absolute best jungler you could possibly pick right now. It's not all opinion, if you observe her kit it is literal fact. She can clear jungle camps in a matter of seconds due to her swipe and execute in cougar form, and then when she's finished can heal herself back to full health and gank a lane. Usually the decision many junglers had to make when choosing their champion was either ganking power or farming power, and Nidalee is so strong because she's arguably the best at both. Her kit is just too overloaded for the amount of damage she does. In my last Nidalee jungle game, I managed to kill a 3250 health Shen with 117 magic resistance with one combo. She gets a huge long range missle that completely destroys your health, then finishes you off with an incredibly overbearing execute. She's just too strong, which is why many other junglers aren't picked anymore. There are simply better options available.
: The reason J4 can delete your squishy ADCs in 3 seconds flat is that he has CC, terrain creation that some cannot escape from, and built-in armor penetration as well as an attack speed buff from his E. Solution: lock him down.

Solution: lock him down. While it sounds easy, in reality it isn't. You said it yourself, he has all of those things *built in*. This means that he has no other reason to try to build damage, so he ends up going tanky after the intial warrior enchantment. It's hard to lock down a tank with built in mobility.

Just because a majority can surrender now wouldn't mean people wouldn't say no to surrender votes.... Whenever I vote to surrender it's usually because the other team wins mid game, but they outscale us late game. If they outscale you, chances of a comeback are very little. Even then, when I play normals it's because I want to have fun. Not because I want to win. Losing for 40 minutes then winning in less than 2 is not fun.

Coming from the guy who only ever buys 1 skin a half year, this is probably one of the best ideas I've ever seen. I hope it happens.
: Some Thought About the Current Status of Matchmaking
@Aithos I'd disagree with this post. The reason why I still play this game after a year and a half isn't because of the community. It isn't because of the champions, and it isn't because my friends play it. It's because you achieve a sense of accomplishment from mastering a skill, and watching yourself progress through the ladder. I enjoy knowing that everyday I grow stronger in this game, because it gives me a goal to strive for. When I'm placed in a game full of lower levels, and I simply smash them, I don't have fun. I don't enjoy it. Basically, the only thing that has been proven in that 20 - 30 minutes period is that I'm better than people who are new to the game. I know that, if I didn't then I would still be at their level. The same goes for the opposite side, why should I waste 20 - 30 minutes of my time playing a game against people who smash me? The only thing proven is that a diamond player is better than me, which I would agree with. I have fun in this game because I play it to learn. You don't learn anything from getting beaten 10 - 0 in lane, and then zoned out of every objective for the next 20 minutes. Typically this is the result of one fatal error that snowballed into a game, and while you can still detect this error and hope to correct it, the rest of the game is unavoidable. Rather than be told I'm worse than a diamond but better than a low level, I'd like to play with players *slightly* better than me. I'll make mistakes, sure but i can learn from this. I'm not going to learn anything from getting smashed because they know the game better than I do.
: Maybe Its just a coincidence but occasionally I will get a streak of games where every game included a feeder or troll the other day I had 4 games straight and no I didn't reque right away after a bad game I waited took some time watched a video then requed and the same thing happened. I would get some games where people just kept running into the enemy and saying that they just wanted the game to be over with so that is why they did it and then some games where people afked like 10 min in. 4 games in a row this happened and I don't understand how this can happen and everytime it was a different person it seems there is much more about this matchmaking than just averaging elo or maybe it is just coincidence that I got qued up with trolls consistently. on a side note plats are bad and is by far the most frustrating league diamond was much more enjoyable than plat

They show a higher level of gameplay that could not be reached in the gold tier, which explains why they do so well when facing them.
: Very well thought out, hopefully they can improvise something for S5 because this season has just gone way down hill when it comes to matchmaking, IMO. Just a thought, why would they have say level 20s playing with Plats. IMO this is a huge error, because yes, the Plat will be good and capitalize on the Golds, but it is unfair for the Plat to have to carry the 20s. There is a good chance that they don't even know what cs is, they struggle for cs, they don't ward or don't know proper builds etc. To make a more fun and competitive playing field, it should be 5 plats vs 5 plats. Just even skill. This is what really gets me, id much rather play against people my own skill, with people my own skill. It makes for more entertaining and intense games. I cant handle another game where I have to teach someone to use a ward, or what cs means. I don't want to play against people who shiit on me, and I don't want to play against people who I shiit on. I just want a fair and fun playing field, that's all I ask.

I just want a fair and fun playing field, that's all I ask. My example was actually a realistic event where the enemy team had a plat 3 and a level 20 player. Obviously, the plat won and smashed our team. I do agree with you on a balanced field, but I also think that they should take it the next step up when creating the match. You learn more by playing with better people, so rather than have it be even skill, pair me with somebody two or three divisions ahead of me. Although I do agree with your main point, why should complete smashes caused by MMR even exist? We know platinum is better than gold, that's why we try to climb.
: Some Thought About the Current Status of Matchmaking
These are all pretty significant, and after reading your post I realized how much I had assumed the average. There are indeed many inefficiencies that can cause a lack or increase in significant gameplay, and I don't think I mentioned a single one. However the strong counter i hold against your first point is that while champion and role MMR may be less than average MMR, there are some solid knowledges that never vanish across roles. For example, not knowing how to play top lane does not deprive one of the knowledge of when and how to pressure dragon. This is usually the common downfall I see in matchmaking gaps. A high elo player will not only win their lane, but they will apply pressure to certain areas, create vision in others, and just overall out rotate the enemy team.

: They are the minority and, as such, have the power of free selection. If we want it to stop, people need to stop picking mid and start picking support.
I agree, but there are times where I play Teambuilder because I actually want to play a new champion with my friends. Honestly, the demographics of roles aren't going to change unless the role itself is changed, or unless a reward is offered.

I believe that Tristana needs some attention. As of 4.10, she's become the new Yasuo or Jax in the sense that her late game should be her priority, but she's too strong in the early game for it to matter. She's currently capable of winning level 3 trades with ease, making her an unstoppable force throughout the entire game. I suggest lowering her base damage on the W.
