After thinking about it a bit more, I getwhat you are trying to accomplish. You want to have variable strategies depending on the current state of the map. I think that this is a great idea except I still think that your plant implementation is not what it should be for two reasons: * It doesn't impact much the strategy of the game * It adds too much clutter around the map and is too random to impact most games I'll give you an example of a "random" variable map strategic element I think would be better. A day and night cycle. The game starts either during the day or during the night. The cycle changes every 10 minutes (meaning that Baron will spawn either day or night depending on the game). During the day, monsters take more damage (which means you could get an early Baron in a daytime spawn and you can get an early gank) and during the night monsters give additional buffs (which means you can delay an objective until night time or burn it during daytime). Of course this is just an idea, random elements can be implemented in anyway, just not at a low level than the plants you are adding... I'm sure you can come up with a way better than the plants! You don't want to do another solo Q... I understand that people are often negative about changes, but I have yet to see people saying: wow such a good idea! People saying: "looks interesting" isn't the same as something that will make you hurry to jump in on patch day to try to new plant feature!

Plants are definitely a bad idea. It's not about the fact that they add controlled RNG to the game, it's because it is adding more stuff for the sake of adding stuff. The concept of buffs can be nicely tied to jungle creep and the concept is clear and understood by gamers (kill monsters get loot). What you could do instead would be to keep the existing buffs (or move them around) and MAYBE add random spawns to the map in the place where you want the new interactions. Like this you can keep more space to introduce another new concept. What works best for the game is when you have strategic choices (baron vs dragon). Currently I can't even say you did that successfully because there wasn't even a single elder taken instead of a baron in competitive to my knowledge ...

I think it's the sadly the same in every games. You have a lot of players that thinks that they are way better than they actually are at low level. I've been playing HOTS when I don't have enough time for a full LoL game and every game you have someone telling someone to uninstall or wishing them cancer. I don't know if it even gets better at higher level, but if I compare my LoL games with my HOTS these days I had a lot more "fun" games where a few people are actually having fun and chatting in LoL vs HOTS where it's been a complainfest each game except 1 or 2 this week.

Regardless of your lane, you will end up in the jungle or at the dragon and baron throughout the game. The "rocks" if the enemy doesn't leave them alone provide you information on where the enemy is. If suddenly your blue buff rock is captured, your jungler know he can go gank an appropriate lane. It's all about the information it provides.

: Why are people stupid when it comes to team builder?
The worst thing about Team Builder is when people surrender early. Team Builder is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play your champions from behind. The other day I had a new one, someone who started surrendering in a winning game: "Because the game is boring, it's taking too long" at 35 minutes...

: If you think the Mobility creep in this game is bad, you haven't obviously played Chess.

Plus, with this new matchmaking adjustment in TeamBuilder (Where they pick your opponent based on how well/much you played your champion.) I really don't see the problem of learning new champions in PVP. Besides, it's just normals.
That's correct... 5 minutes against bot is normally enough to know how your skill works and what you can with them. Then, you need specific game situations to learn. In example, you will never learn how to use Bard's R without having a few games against real opponents (freeze the enemy so they can't run away, slow down a turret kill vs freezing the enemies, etc).

: RP Price Adjustment in Canada
The problem has nothing to do with the fact that we are getting more RP per dollars than if we pay in USD, the problem is that we'll be paying MORE now. Simple as that. You can't defend a 13% increase, it's still a 13% increase as much as you want to spin it.
: I think it might be cool in reverse actually. It let's Kassadin be more likely to kill/escape with the first jump but plays with the cost increase to make subsequent jumps more of a price. One stack: 700 Two stacks: 650 And so on. Might be cool.

All the nerfs make it so that the jungle is very systematic and very prone to invade (unless you have one of the champions with a better clear). You could grab purple smite for a significantly faster clear (when it had less cooldown), you could get the enchant that increase damage per stack and your jungler wouldn't hit like a wet noodle at the end of the game. I have the feeling that they pulled too quickly on this one. They should instead of used the power of the jungler items so make jungler impactful during the game rather than bringing them back to being supportive to the team. In example, if you build tanky, you won't be as tanky as your top laner (if he goes tanky). Same goes for damage, you won't be as useful than your mid laner or your adc. That leaves the support style of jungler and at this point, I'd rather just play support and roam once in a while. I like the actual jungle though post-early game, you have a good choice of vision, objectives, etc. But your character doesn't feel fun anymore (which is why I don't jungle unless I'm stuck with it).

It's not that the jungle isn't possible now, it's just so much less fun than it used to be in the first few season 5 patches.

As for implementing and age-check, I'm not sure that Korea's solution is the better one. Everyone has an ID there that they use for banking, etc. We don't have an equivalent here and we can't use stuff like driver's license or health card number because they aren't universal (and are different for each country) and if you get that information stolen, it's a huge problem.

I'm 31 years old and I *hate* playing with teenagers and kids. You can immediately tell based on their maturity when it comes to drafts and the game itself. That's not to say there aren't plenty of toxic players above 21 or respectful players under that age, but it would go a long way to separate the more mature players. When I read the title and the first line I was totally on board... I was expecting this to be about parents teaching their kids to be respectful to people online, and treat them well. Learning how to interact with others online is definitely important, and parents are the best place to start teaching kids that online people are people too.... but then you spent the entire time focusing on how important your stats are in a game where your stats mean nothing, and you lost me. Perhaps stop taking the game so seriously and the kid leaving won't hurt you so much. What's sad is that the majority of the people playing this game are so offended by someone leaving... it scares me. It really does.

Now we want to teach parents to teach children that games are more important than life... Games are part of life. When I was growing up my parents never had to stop me from playing because I knew the limits and the rules. If a kid has any "game time" when he respectfully gained access to it and you randomly decide to cut it for any reason, you are simply teaching him that he is garbage and that respect for others doesn't mean anything. I knew a few kids whose parents were like this and they all ended up not finishing high school and/or end up doing drugs. Now if a game goes later ONCE in a while, it's an exception and you can deal with this accordingly. Games like anything are part of life. If you start randomly cutting your employees privileges because of power trips, you could be a manager, VP, CEO, doesn't matter, you are still failing at your "job". It's way better to teach respect and how real life works.
: I wish people would tell me my mistakes instead of saying I'm just a Bronze 5 noob who has no idea how to play. That really doesn't help me, especially since I'm in Silver 1. Also, I'm pretty sure that if you went into a normal game and tried to be helpful, they'll just yell at you. Because...reasons.

It's pretty rare that someone else is watching the game enough to tell you what you did wrong. I'm sure you already know if you: overextended, lost a fight mechanically, etc. The kind of useful help would be: "Oh that Caitlyn an item advantage over you, careful next fight" but it's pretty rare someone is looking that closely at why you just died.
: Well but what are the odds of someone being colorblind and deaf? Can't be that many in our comunity
Why not implement something that works with everybody though? The main causes of problems in the game would be eye, motor or sound related so if they do something let's do the best solution.

: Stop heckling your teammates every time they make a mistake.

I'm sure they heckle themselves every time a mistake is made, they don't need you to do it. > 2. You're only gonna make them play worse. People who do that mostly just have bad people skill. Instead of: "WOW YOU LET KATARINA ROAM gg" telling your mid laner: "Keep the pressure on your lane that will help bot lane since you can take mid if Kat roams" is A LOT better.

: Although I'm sure they would appreciate it, I'm also pretty sure deaf people have gotten over not hearing things.

Not a reason to not add a little something to the screen especially if Riot can code this quickly.
: Or a border, like you may see a purple haze on the edge of the screen (like the classic "low heath red haze" effect, but a different color) for a second or so.

Color has the problem that color blind people might not see it correctly. A little graphic in the corner of the screen is better I think. Like an angry Sion's head or something ;)

: When will red buff's description be updated?
I remember reading that in the new map preview but I thought it was scrapped!
