: I think if you're an average player, it's a blessing in disguise. You only lose 3 LP as a Fill. But you gain 6 as a win. And the role you get filled in still gets full points. In other words, the math of "Fill" is on the average side. Once you start going, even if you perform at 50%, you'll probably get to gold more reliably than you would risking 50% as a one role player. 1 role is designed to stalemate. 4-5 roles isn't as long as you can perform in them. Right now I'm about 70% win rate and getting into my promos for Silver IV from B I in most classes. Yesterday I was promos from BII to BI. Even if you are a 50% player, it's likely you can hit a promo every other day, and the teams at promos aren't as bad, because most people who are single classing are not there to compete with you. You're basically an Average all rounder facing Average Single Rolers.

Agreed. The current system sucks. Add to the issue that losing on an off role can demote you if you are at 0LP and this year ranked is the land of suck. They need to really crank up LP gains, losses and splashing. At least double it.

On my prior account (Plat 2 peak) I had quite a few {{champion:25}} leave lane because I asked them to stop Wing the minions. Other Supports would ragequit the lane too. It's an ego thing IMO, they think they're too good or they get mad, or both. You could always try looking for a duo.
That is probably on you. Morgana needs to poke if she wants money, and the easiest way to poke is to W. She also lifesteals. So you pull that I might walk as well.

Bronze Leona main here. Some things to think about. Is your support a relic shield user? Are you saving the cannons for your support? Are you prepping minions for your support to proc relic? If is painful to be a low level melee support. You need to help them get those cannon minions, and if the enemy is harassing when they go to proc try to harass back. I ADC as well and I know a bronze ADC is so focused on the wave it is easy to tunnel on last hitting. But try to recall you have a partner in lane and react to them. If they engage, follow up. If they are trying to only harass then keep farming until it is time to engage.

Not going to lie, I am a little disappointed you didn't touch Volli; you hit #1 and #2 junglers but left him alone. Highest winrate in the jungle and considered to be #3 in the role. Likewise, at the bottom of the jungle charts you have Xin, J4 and Aatrox. Xin was gutted when Sated Devourer + rageblade was a thing and was never compensated when those went away.

Socrates, You touched on the issue of 5 different jars (roles) for new champ select, but you did not touch on what Riot might be doing to incentivize people to play the role that no one wants - support. If you can't get folks to play support none of this matters. I think you only see now just how few players want to play support. You don't get any gold, your lane-mate is a whiny bitch (sorry ADC mains, you are) and you can't carry the game. Mid seems to be in the highest demand, which makes sense since it is the opposite of support. Think outside the box, if you can't make the role enjoyable compensate people for playing it. Give them more IP, some RP, a greater chance at a key fragment.....SOMETHING. Another thing, since you seem to have the data, show us what percent of the time people get their primary role when their secondary role is each of the 6 options. Intuitively we know the answer but it would be nice to see the data. GW
: I've been in that exact situation before and definitely understand how much it sucks since it automatically counts as a loss in your series. Keep in mind that if it was the PvP.net Servers fault, then all 10 players of the game would have been dropped or experienced this particular issue. Since it appears that you were the only one, we need to look at the connection between your computer and the PvP.net Servers. This is not to say the issue is on your end, but we need to start narrowing down the root cause. Change for the sake of change adds nothing. Dynamic Queue and the problems with ranked picking have been ignored. Don't look at the man behind the curtain, look over here at this tweak we did to some champ. They are utterly silent on core game issues and instead change champions, items, dragons, etc. Does it matter that bloodrazor was buffed if you give up after waiting 10 minutes to get into game?

Riot this season has been abysmal at figuring out the trends and reacting fast enough. They should have disabled DQ and reverted AS SOON AS they saw how the new system handles supports. But they didn't and they've done nothing since. If they were to keep Role Select, they HAVE to keep real incentive to playing unpopular roles...they have to. More IP, More LP more whatever...something gotta give.

Increased chance of a key fragment, IP bonus and RP rewards are things they could try to make people want to play support. They just ignore the problem, and then add tweaks to fix queue time at diamond and above. They are so out of touch (or unwilling to admit to the problem).

: Definitely see where you are coming from. While patches dramatically affect the content in-game, or in the client, it does not affect the network in which your computer attempts to connect to the individual game servers. It's easy to see a strong correlation to the patch, but it does not mean it is the cause. To further emphasize this point, we have not seen any increased number of issues on a server wide basis, which we monitor constantly. Given this and to clarify, have you had a chance to complete all of the steps in the Connection Article linked above? There are a ton of steps there, but they are crucial in hopefully resolving this issue!

I think it would be good to explore the hunter aspect of Warwick. "It's only fun if they run" - keep Blood Scent that gives him movement speed and if you want to remove the "hidden power" of his Hunter's Call attack speed boost on his allies turn Blood Scent into Frenzy (or Blood Lust) and grant him increasing attack speed when an enemy champion or large/epic monster in range is low on health. That should help Warwick with monster objective control and remove some of his tower/inhib pushing power. Another good reason to keep movement speed on Blood Scent is thematic. When you think of a werewolf you think of a loping run. Not necessarily large leaps a la Rengar/Kha/Lee Sin but instead increased ground speed of a 4 legged hunter. His ultimate is such a good suppress (please keep it!!!) that I would hesitate to give him additional hard CC. However, you could see a werewolf with a slow by attacking the hamstring, maybe Q changes from Hungering Strike to something that does damage and also slows. By giving him a slow he would then have a possibility of a pre-6 gank; something that rarely happens now.

The new crafting system was designed as a new revenue stream for Riot. You are supposed to have more chests than keys. It encourages you to buy keys for RP, generating income for Riot.
: When you connect to a game of League of Legends, you are not simply establishing a connection to the internet. You have to connect to an individual game server found in Chicago. If for some reason your computer cannot establish a connection to this server, then you will consistently see an error message instead of the normal Loading Screen. The shitty part is that it's hard to pinpoint exactly why your computer is unable to connect to the server. To that end, make sure to complete all of the steps found in our [Connection Issues Article](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752664). It has the most common solutions that should help prevent this from occurring in the future as well as allowing us to rule out some of the most common root causes. : Long queue times can happen every once in a while depending on the number of players, roles, and/or games available. I don't think there should be too much cause for alarm unless it's happening consistently. If it does, let me know and I'll see if I can get someone to take a closer look.
Oh come on RiotBok, don't bullshit him. If you don't queue as support or fill you should expect queue times from 10 - 20 minutes. If you queue as support or fill you will probably get a game in less than 30 seconds.

: i dont mean to jump in on his comment, but i LOVE warwicks ulti, point click snare 1 person, its very basic and simple but very satisfying. it sucks when you are the one getting ultid but you can hope your team disables him and whatnot. i also really like his little blood hunting thing, where he can smell a low health target and chase them down, its a bit of "invisable" power tho so rip to that probably.
I agree. I like to max blood hunting. None of this juke into the bush crap. Q can go, it was never a priority for me. If he still only scales with attack speed he needs something that amps his attack speed. I favor a modified blood hunt - keep the increased movement and then the closer he gets to an enemy (large monster or enemy player) low on health the faster his attacks are. This has the added benefit of limiting using it just to take towers, which didn't fit thematically with his old W. So keep his ult, it is iconic. Let him have something that smells out low health enemies, and something that sends him into a frenzy.

That is how companies fail. They get arrogant and think they know more than everyone else. They start believing their own hype and listening to the echo chamber. They know how THEY play. They know that when people queue with friends they are generally less toxic. The corollary is not necessarily true; that people that prefer solo queue are more toxic. I know that this might come as a shock, but many people that play computer games are introverts and don't want to be FORCED to find friends to queue with just to get rewards (Hextech key fragments). Add to that what a disaster the new picking room is when it comes to supports or fill and you can foresee the decline of this game. Many folks on my friends list never log on anymore and after 75 games of jungle/support and getting jungle once, I have given up as well.
