: Neither :-)
With Riot's perfect system, you can only have 1 or the other.
: > The community is so soft. Says the guy who chose to talk back instead of muting him.....
I mean, one can argue muting and just letting them get away with what they said is 'soft'.

Can I troll, flame, threaten or harass people while using the Riot Services? (No. If you do, you might get banned.) While using the Riot Services, you must comply with all laws, rules and regulations in the jurisdiction in which you reside. You must also comply with certain additional rules that govern your use of the Riot Services (the “Code of Conduct”). The Code of Conduct is not meant to be exhaustive, and we reserve the right to modify it at any time, as well as take appropriate disciplinary measures including account termination and deletion to protect the integrity and spirit of the Riot Services, regardless of whether a specific behavior is listed in the policy as inappropriate. In addition to the Code of Conduct, please review the Summoner’s Code for additional guidance on exemplary gameplay behavior. No exceptions. I get that ignoring is looked down upon, especially since, in real life, it literally doesn't help at all. In this game, however, it works. Ping mute, chat mute, report at the end, best you can do really. There's no justice in flaming back. Especially when I read this: >I can live with a two week suspension I might be reading it wrong but it feels like you already had that in which case, yeah. Toxicity and negativity got you through all punishment tiers. If I'm wrong then you must've flamed REALLY bad to skip through the other 3 punishment tiers.
I can live with a two week suspension because I will eventually get my account back. Like I said, this is a season 1 account, lots of skins, lots of hours put into it. I would even wait a year or two if I have to.

Shut him up, keep playing, mute him at the end, bam. The above happens to the other player because you didn't flame. > > Not always gonna be told your report got him to be punished but you're doing SOMETHING. Flaming someone who flames you is like countering a shit-thrower by throwing shit at him. No matter what happens, you're getting shit everywhere and need to leave. Again this is like when terrorist attacks happen and people just like on facebook so they feel like they are doing SOMETHING, when in reality they arent.
Thank you. I admit, I was a bit excessive, but only because this twitch was literally spam pinging and flaming me. This was a ranked game, and I'm obviously trying my best to win so when an inter is on your team, it grind my gears.. I can live with a two week suspension, even longer.. but a permaban for this? I don't believe that was the right punishment for me.
Xidphel (NA)
: >I got banned for flaming an inting twitch that flamed me first... So where's the problem?
The problem is the inting twitch. Does Riot actually think people would rather have an inter rather than a flamer?

This is such a cowardly way to look at things. Just because someone is breaking into my house and beating up my wife, doesn't give me the right to fight back! Two wrongs dont make a right. Standing up for yourself and talking shit back is human nature if you're not a doormat.
Exactly. The community is so soft. Twitch and I at the end of the game resolved our problems anyways because the game was won. It was the other players on my team that felt the need to report both of us yet they could've just muted us also?
: With an outlook like that, not wonder you got banned
Hey man, who would you rather have on your team? The inter or the flamer?
Eunson (NA)
: Haha
Is that funny... I have a lot on this account.

I was taught at a young age to ignore idiots and pick my battles wisely. Getting in random hissy-fits with internet trolls and morons is at best pointless and wasteful, and in your case it was actively detrimental.
Guess we were taught different things. Not like everyone can be the same. Being toxic isn't much of an issue imo. If you're trying to win games, and someone ints, they (int-er) deserves to get flamed.
: The other problem is inting back at someone creates a snowball of distractions. It doesn't improve your chances of winning, regardless of what your outcome was. Furthermore, getting into an argument with someone is also a waste of time. You've played since season 1, so you should know this: How many times have you ever gotten into an argument with someone on LoL and won?... Exactly. Mute them and move on.
I didn't int, I was actually trying so hard to win because it was basically 5v4. There has to be a solution for those with a competitive edge. I can definitely play without chat.
: He did something wrong first, so it justifies my wrong actions argument is beyond dumb. Just because you see someone else breaking the rules doesn't mean it's perfectly ok for you. Like I said, I've had a lot of promos where my team just ints their butts off because I am in promos. I was taught at a young age, dont take shit from anyone and to stand up for myself. There are just people that like to push your buttons. I'm sure people that int in games are 99% worse than people that flame. Who would you rather have on your team? Someone that ints or someone that tries to win and flames? I've had a handful amount of games where I would carry and be toxic (team doesn't listen) and I would win those games but get punished after.
Jo0o (NA)
: I'm not clear on whether you were or were not inting.
I was supporting a Twitch and he was definitely inting. He flames me first, calls me useless, so I flame him back.
