: Let's rework Yasuo's Wind Wall
Something something burrhurrhurr muh Quinn can't 100-0 someone 100% of the time. The wind wall is fine. The balance team needs to stop smoking ganja and put their efforts where it is actually needed.

: This game is toxic as hell
People set expectations for performance. When others cannot care enough to even attempt to meet those expectations, they can GO FUCKING KILL THEMSELVES. This message has been brought to you by 98% of the community. Have a nice day. c:
: Sorry, I don't feel sorry for your low honor level.
I'm going to call bullshit on that one. I play on this account only once in a blue moon and I found myself in honor zero upon login this morning. Not even a warning lmao. Riot is more interested in maintaining a safe space than they are sticking to a set of rules and/or standards like they were in the past. (It's the reason I only play this game when I feel like hating everything)
: What is the reason to me having to be Honor 2 to get end of season-rewards?
: Please, for the sake of your teammates, be quiet.
There is a difference between being countered or outclassed and just not caring. In 90% of the cases I've personally seen, it's the latter. If it's the former, the person will generally react with "I'm trying" or something. This is post number like ten thousand on this subject and I'm tired of seeing it. Stop contributing to the problem and start flaming.
: Bring back honoring your opponents Please!!!!
I'd much rather honor my opponents than my allies tbh. They deserve kudos for playing well, especially when their teammates honor only the most fed on their side.

The general consensus here is "you're an idiot, stop playing if your internet is shit". It's a simple concept - I don't understand why it's so difficult for some to grasp.

: Sure! * You weren't aware of him roaming bot. * You didn't ward to see his gank coming. * You severely underestimated his DPS * You assumed a tower can protect you from burst. * You didn't invest in any defensive purchases at all. * If he's killing you in one combo without ult, you're probably a level or two behind him. I'd be actually interested in a replay of this, otherwise I'm going to just assume it's a hyperbolic statement. Considering the specifics, I'm going to assume this is something that actually happened to you or...? I mean I checked your match history and didn't see any Zilean games.

Considering the specifics, I'm going to assume this is something that actually happened to you or...? I mean I checked your match history and didn't see any Zilean games. The issue is that is something that CAN happen, regardless of if it did or not. It's entirely possible that this game was on a smurf or alternate account, so your last statement is unnecessary at best.
: >We Need More Crackdown on Int. Feeders and Troll This is a very popular opinion, and one that Riot is working on. The system has actually been improving, but we mostly notice it when it fails. >We need less time spent on punishing toxic chat... This is the less popular opinion, because that stuff *also* ruins games, just in a different way. It's also worth noting than the teams responsible for each are likely separate branches under the greater Player Behavior team, so work on one doesn't take away from work on the other.

Don't worry about honor. You can just by loot boxes for yo loots! (You'll have better luck fisting yourself than getting out of a rut playing League at this point)

: Tired of Tryndamere being in the fucking game to be honest.
You could kite him and play to outrotate/outfarm him. If he can't kill you under turret, he's gonna have a bad time if you trade correctly.
: Does anyone here love league anymore?
Honestly, I'm just here to see how bright this dumpster fire burns. I like some of the changes, but it's still a game where one person feeding on your team spells a loss at least 80% of the time if you aren't playing a specific set of champs.
: Wow. This Player Behavior Section is So DEPRESSING
The issue is that people have become apathetic to other players and have lately just resorted to flamebaiting ingame as they tend to do in any game that is dying. They want to test the system because it really doesn't matter anymore if they get banned since they can move on to a better game, like Runescape or tic-tac-toe.
FilDaFunk (EUW)
: What I'd do then, is to join in the fun, rather than focus on winning. Each single win is not all that important and you shouldn't get stressed. Whilee I do think you are justified in feeling like this, I don't think it's necessary.
Promoting a toxic environment where people can justify poor performance with nothing more than a dismissive handwave is unacceptable. The issue that the topic is trying to uncover/discuss is not about the individual win, but the environment in which a loss occurs. Of course there will be losses in champ select due to the nature of ARAM, but if some people just arbitrarily decide to throw a game because "fuggit", then the game is ruined for the others. ARAM =/= Grey Screen Simulator

If this is in normal games, focus on the matchup. Screw your teammates if they feel like throwing the game away - you can still take something out of this and learn. If it is in ranked, you need to get a bit more creative with your flame. Throwing a smiley face after "kys" makes it all better, right? In all seriousness, take every game as an opportunity to learn and get better. Being matched with retards is an inevitability, as is the nature of the beast.

Chat blocks don't work because there are other ways to ruin the game for people. The suspensions/bans serve as an eye-opener to the muppets that consistently think that they are the (only) center of the universe. Take your licks, reflect on them in private, and move on. No one here feels sorry for you, and this discussion has happened many times before.

: My boyfriend and I both received a 2 week ban at the exact same time for the exact same reason. We both agreed to not say anything negative ever again and we help each other out when we are feeling negative. Neither of us have been toxic since then. We both unlocked our honor at the same time. My boyfriend received the checkpoint 1 towards honor level 1 and I have nothing. Sometimes it feels unfair because even though we both play well he almost always receives all the honor just for getting a triple kill or making some big play while saying nothing the entire game but I can boost the team morale and say gj and thank you for ganks and keep a positive attitude all game and I never get any honor. Even when I make a big play or carry really hard I still get no honors. If I don't reach a checkpoint soon I will probably just forget about the honor system in general. I am grateful that I was able to change for the better but it's still sad feeling like it's unnoticed. {{sticker:sg-janna}} Update 2/2/18: Today I reached checkpoint 1! It's almost as if Rito saw my message. :^) I feel a lot better knowing I am making progress in the system. You can only honor one person at the end of the game, and it generally goes to the person that carries. I wouldn't think about it too much, myself. As a support main, you are generally shafted in this system unless you do something absolutely incredible.
: Thoughts on Akali's Upcoming Rework
I'm half expecting the rework on her shroud to do something similar to Graves smokescreen and applying nearsighted if a champ goes into it, but revealing Akali inside of it as well. It would give champs more options for counterplay against it. I've no idea what will be done to the rest of the kit though.
: I dun goofed
I feel like whoever handles the bans really doesn't care about the situation behind the report. They see "kys *#@&$#" and issue a ban. Done, easy, end of story. Is that the correct way to handle these? In my opinion, no. But that's what happens nowadays when you get slammed with a harrassment charge for looking at someone's crotch. Welcome to the League of Trolls and SJWs.

The idea is that the toxic player is playing well, not feeding like a cafeteria lady on taco tuesday. Yo, them tacos are delicious tho. Toxicity is a staple of online multiplayer games and we'll never, as a community, be able to reign it in or eliminate it. A good example I can think of is Guild Wars 2. By far, this game has the most fun and positive community I can think of for the majority of content I've played. When one takes a step back and looks at Raids and PvP, however, it turns quickly into a cesspool (specifically raids and LFG). With that in mind, and considering that my overall performance relies on teammates that can hold their own, I can say that I'd prefer the toxic players. They are an inevitability, but less of a liability than bad players. *Disclaimer: this is also made under the assumption that the player isn't both, as stated in the OP*

Heh. Ban system doing the lords work, I guess. I wonder if that Jhin got reported/banned. Probably not, though. You deserved every bit of what you got for calling to report someone. Stooping down to their level is immature and will likely result in you getting bludgeoned to death with their massive experience advantage. Especially when all it takes is one person to report you for saying a slur to incur a punishment.
: You can do as the others have suggested and submit a ticket to Player Support. They may make the recommendation to you to be a bit more cautious about who you send friend requests to in the future. I know it's tempting sometimes to want to get one over on that player who is being a jackass and prove to them that they aren't as good as they think they are. But sometimes, it's better to just walk away and not deal with the drama that they can bring.

But sometimes, it's better to just walk away and not deal with the drama that they can bring. This. I absolutely love to rail people after inting or playing incredibly poorly and blaming their poor performance on everything but themselves. If you add someone like me after a game where you go 2/11, you'd better believe that I'm going to make you feel it. ESPECIALLY if you were completely oblivious to your poor play. Best practice is to not add anyone unless you know them personally or if they are showing that they want to play more with you or offer advice to improve, else you are voluntarily opening that door. To be honest, it's on you for making that choice, not them. Learn a lesson here and move on.

No. We're not done with you yet - coming and bitching to the boards isn't going to save you. We are everywhere, and we know who you are. We can make your experience on the rift as miserable as possible and will continue to do so. >:3

: Oh god the hell that's gonna be unleashed on these boards.
I dunno. Akali falls into a similar category as Katarina to me, where if I die in lane, it's generally just a "oh wow, I got clicked on... I guess... neat..." feeling rather than "damn, that was good". There's very little outplaying someone with a shroud if you don't have any aoe damage or super hard cc. You either outdamage her or not, and dps checks are not fun for me.
: My idea to tone down Zoe (Shift Power)
What really gets me is that they nerfed Nid way back when to combat the issues we're discussing now. I feel kinda... betrayed? If they want to release a champion, they need to think about what happened in the past if the mechanic is similar to another one already reworked.

Co-op games are a learning tool for many, after all, and there are noobs that don't understand stuff like meta summoner spells, roles, etc. The funny thing is that those cases would be the outliers. If someone is learning to jungle, they will visit lane and/or at least ask for help. I feel like the risk is worth the reward, because I know for a fact that if I were trying to learn to play, I'd be incredibly demoralized when being forced to 2v1 against bots with much better reaction and decision making, etc.
