I stop buying rp when they didn't do anything about the capsule bug from last month. It was a blessing in disguise. Not only is this Ahri Prestige unattractive, but the method of acquiring prestige Ahri is the same like Aatrox. My only mistake was buying the the current event pass. I been too busy to get any value from the pass. Besides, this Ahri skin is extremely ugly and not sexy at all like the original KDA skin.

: Hey Riot, what is the process with making Statues (on the merch site)?
I rather riot lease out their rights for creating figures to Japanese figure companies or high end figure companies in America. I though the riot figures were really good until I saw the Japanese figures or from an American company called Sideshow. Those are high quality figures that general sell in the +150 range depending on scale and quality. Sideshow sells higher quality figures in the 600-1200 range. For example, Director Krennic is selling for like 250, catwoman for 999, wraith from lord of rings for 105. My main problem with riot figures is that it's unlikely a champion I would want a figure for will be produce in the right skin. Champions I want are Syndra, Ahri, or MF. Second, even if riot makes a figure for them I don't like their default skin or look. A Star Guardian for Syndra and GD for MF. These figures will probably never be made much less at a higher quality. Riot figures aren't modular. You can't change their facial expressions, clothes, or body position. Here is a article on how figures are made in Japanese high end figure factory. https://kotaku.com/inside-a-high-quality-japanese-figurine-factory-1782720458 http://www.nekomagic.com/?p=19526 Video of how some figures are made in Japan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyQiKi87CX4&feature=youtu.be American company Sideshow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mm974A4JcM

It doesn't seem like that was a successful marketing move in the first place? Aatrox was never popular. People play him when he is good like urgot. The key for Riot selling skins is to put the prestige skins on popular champions with a sexy or cute look. Besides, the Aatrox, like the Vayne, look like a chrome. The first two prestige skins have a slightly different look, but were relatable to the original skin. Personally, I don't like this Ahri skin, especially the hair. Nor do I like the fact they removed her thighhighs. An upgrade to her thighhighs would have been thighhigh boots. The skirt is weird too. Actually, I'm old enough to know that it's always about the dollars. It's works both ways. Riot employees would be naive to think that high spenders care about them individually. Perhaps the game will continue on. The question every manager and executive at Riot is asking is how much will this cost them? The magic question that starts with 'how' that every investor, manager, executive, and business owners dreads asking. The majority of people who spend thousands can afford to spend thousands. That money is considered a loss the moment they spent it. If they were concern with loss value, then they would have put that money in the stock market or some other investment.

Companies don't care about player punishment system cause it doesn't affect their bottom line. This does, which is why each major gaming company takes swift action.
: Update on Yesterday's Capsule Pricing Error
You could just ban the accounts. Instead of removing the skins simply identify the accounts who took advantage and ban them. It's no like those that did it are high spenders. All of the other major gaming companies wouldn't hesitate to ban the accounts if happened to one of their games. Game companies like EA, Activision Blizzard, and so forth. In fact, when it happens in a Blizzard game, Blizzard is quick to drop the permanent ban hammer. I personally will cease buying skins if this isn't corrected one way or another. I don't care if you remove skins, shards, or ban each player account who took advantage. It's either paying customers or them. It's your choice. There will be repercussion beyond the immediate loss of sales for the Lunar event.

: To Everyone Complaining About the 1 BE Capsules
Who pays to keep the servers running and the salaries of riot employees? Paying customers who buy skins and to a less extent people who buy champions. People did not spent hundreds or thousands of dollars only to have another person who hasn't spent any money or very little to have equal or greater number of skins. People who spent a modest or large amount of money in buying skins will be less incline to continue buying skins. You don't see this as a problem for Riot? Players who are high or modest spenders keep the servers running, pay for salaries, and provide a profit for riot not those players who spend very little or none at all. Riot is going to lose more than the loss of sales from the people who got free capsules. The overall cost of that little mistake isn't something that Riot can easily calculate, but will become more apparent in the months to come. I personally will stop buying any skins from Riot. Every person who has spent a modest or large amount of money is now reconsidering buying skins.
: Riot let bug abusers get thousands of skins for free

Actually, I don't like that game model, except for single player games. I prefer Riot's model. Second, technically that type of game isn't profitable with AAA games anymore. That's why OW has loot boxes. OW isn't sustainable in the long term without people who buy loot boxes. I would imagine the sale of OW games continues to decline year after year and that Blizzard is relying more and more on microtransactions. If people don't buy loot boxes and farm the boxes instead, OW will have problems. Another good example is COD. COD only makes a profit with the help from microtransactions. The sale numbers alone aren't enough. This is actually in a financial report. Despite how many copies COD 4 sold, the game is a mediocre success for Activision and their investors.

Every company that sells an item online has a written legal agreement whenever a customer buys an item. In short, the company reserves the right to revoke any sale for whatever reason. This is done in order to protect companies from accidental sale prices. Companies have the choice to either refund or honor the sale. Recently, an airline sold first class seats at heavily discounted price by accident. This company honored the purchases, but not all companies honor such purchases. The majority of companies refund their customers and maybe give such customers a small bonus. In this case, those players never purchased any item with real life money. Riot has listed skins before at lower price by accident, but all the previous cases the items could only be purchase with RP and was little more than a discounted item and not a free item. For example, I think it was the Leona or some other legendary that was briefly listed at 1350 as oppose to 1850. Players saved 500 RP if they log in quickly. That is a minor mistake, but in this case it's different. The prestige points, Aatrox prestige skin, and capsules are part of a long term strategy by Riot. If Riot lets those players keep the free items, then that would undermine their long term strategy. Paying customers who paid for skins and keep Riot in business will not take it lightly if non playing customers were to gain the same access to skins they bought. Those players don't care if older skins are sold at reduce price. It's no more different than if mobile games gave away the latest whale items for free while still asking their whales to pay the full upfront cost. Older whale items, whales don't care cause it's old. Legally, it's is within riots power to revoke the items sold and with or without refunding BE. People agreed to the user agreement of Riot, which makes any player account the property of Riot. Riot reserves the right to revoke access to that account. Players are given access to that account, but don't own the account. For this reason, Riot doesn't have to refund BE, since it's not a currency that was bought with money. If a player had bought RP, then those players would need to be refunded. I'm not familiar with the legality of game currency. I think legally Riot would have to refund the player the RP currency, but not necessarily the real life currency. That's probably why most gaming companies have a virtual currency. The gaming company can refund the virtual currency, but not the real life currency.

For example, Vodka absolute was selling a golden Vodka that cost a lot more than a normal Vodka. The golden Vodka is exactly the same as the normal, but with a golden color. In the case of the prestige skin, the prestige skin is slightly better than the normal version. I feel like there is something wrong when a company offers something that's exclusive when the quality is quickly diminishing because it feels like a cash-grab to most. Even when people offered this constructive criticism the quality still looks and feels poor. I looked into the Golden Vodka and it seems like the packaging was good and so was the advertising, it looked like Absolute Vodka actually tried to sell a product fairly and invested a lot of money to make it look and feel special. If we were to compare this product to the current pattern of Prestige skins it would be as if Absolute Vodka released the same Golden Vodka every other month, but with each iteration it would get more expensive and look slightly worse.

I don't see anything wrong with the prestige skins. The prestige skins are targeting customers who spend a lot of money. Besides, you don't need to buy every prestige skin. : Prestige Skin Change has taken my Main Motivation for Playing.
You don't need to spend 100 dollars right away. The Aatrox skin will remain in the hextech crafting store for the whole year. You need to acquire the required prestige points before 2020. Alternatively, you can buy the regular cool skin for 1350. You don't need the prestige Aatrox skin to play Aatrox in the game. This prestige skin line is targeting people who are willing to spend a lot of money like the hextech skins, but at a cheaper price point. Riot has many different price points targeting a variety of customers. I wouldn't call it greedy. Riot is experimenting with the sale of prestige skins. Will people be willing to pay a lot more money for an upgraded chroma skin that is made exclusive by a high price tag. The Aatrox prestige skin almost cost as much like a hextech skin, but is cheaper. I'm confidant that the prestige line will be more profitable than the hextech skins. The prestige skins are probably cheaper to develop. The prestige skins is what the hextech should have been, just shy of the an ultimate quality skin.

Can buy her with RP. Except in Aram, I doubt it you get to play her much. She will be permanently banned by most players. That gives you time to farm BE to buy her.

: saw a rioter tweet about the boards
Boards or forums are majority negative. People who don't like the current state of the game are the more vocal on the forum. This is why most developers should stick to metrics and less so on the forum. Except maybe on skin designs. I think the feed back on skin designs is good. For game mechanics people complain too much in any game forum. I think random surveys are better for getting a better understanding of what the gaming population on the whole would prefer. Every forum I been in has been negative. For example, when democrats control the majority of the government republicans make many threads in political forums and when republicans have the majority of power, then it's democrats complaining day in and day out. It's no different on gaming forums. In OW, people are always complaining about a hero that either counters their main or mains.
Stardûst (EUW)
: Why don't we make another Lux or Ahri skin instead? We all know you want more of them, right?

Good idea. We can never have enough Lux or Ahri skins. They sell like hot cakes.
: STILL SALTY ABOUT MA IVERN SKINS
Ivern isn't a very popular champion. Last, I read Twitch jungle is more popular than Ivern. Ivern has 0.1% pick rate. His character requires two models per skin. Unless Riot is interested in losing money, I don't think Ivern will ever get a skin.
: Some thoughts on more dated female champions, from a girl
Riot should leave the current champions as they are. Those champions have a lot of fan art, lore, and history with their current design and changing that design would upset the majority of their fan base. I don't like it when Riot or any company changes the look of any character in a game. I unlocked champions based on their looks, lore, voice, and play style. I would be really upset if Riot were to change the default designs of any of these champions. Having said that I do like the Jenna and Leblanc concept art. I never liked the default skin of Leblanc. Despite not liking default Leblanc skin, I wouldn't want it change cause other people might like her current base skin. What I think riot should do is come out with alternative skins that can appease the players who don't want to see that much skin. It's all about choices. There are people who prefer more skin being shown and others like less. Therefore, Riot should make skins to appease both type of players. I myself prefer the more scantily or sexy dress female and male skins or champions in game. However, I do buy the non scantily skins if they are well dress like I will be buying the the new Mundo and Soraka skins. Riot can also release less sexualize champions. However, I don't think they sell as well compared to their sexualize champions, sex sells. Those KDA and every sexualize skin has probably sold well for Riot. Doesn't surprise me considering the majority of the player base is male. On a side note, Riot really got stop making futuristic skins. I'm really tired of the program skin line. We need more Star Guardians. Never get tired of Star Guardians.
: I find it funny how everything in this game is decided around favoritism
Ezreal is probably the best male champion money maker for riot.
