: Yeah Kindred cares about death and It hates undeath because that is an abomination to the cycle of life and death — it breaks the rules— so it is an enemy of naga and kindred. Thus I would agree naga cares about “all life” and is somehow fueled by it. BUT this also assumes each life includes an end. (The possible reincarrnation and after-life of a soul is seperate though related issue). Now Illaoi’s faith assumes all “life” serves some unknowable plan — thus we all are instruments of nagakabouros moving the universe towards some greater destiny. Thus a worthy, righteous, and just life to her is one that embraces life itself. Accepting and pursuing all of its messy mixture of ambitions, loves, feelings, and chaos. Now, is she and her faith correct about what Nagkabouros wants? who knows? That is where faith is required.

After the IE ratio nerf, MF just needs some damage buffs. Her kit already has plenty of obvious weaknesses for opponents to take advantage of.

: I think a directional shift to where Malz is less reliable but deals more damage could make for a solid champion. I bet a lot of people play him in large part for his reliability, however, so I'd be pretty hesitant to just sign him up for that kind of work. Not many mages have that reliability profile anymore. Citing his per game damage relative to other mid laners doesn't seem like a very convincing reason for change tbh. These charts tend to have pretty high correlation to whether the champion deals a bunch of AoE damage rather than single target, as well as whether they have high or low reach. Malz's damage is pretty single target focused and low reach overall (especially when compared to many other mid laners), so I'd expect him to be pretty low on these charts. I could buy that Malz would be more satisfying if he traded off some raw ult CC duration power for a bit more damage, but I'm not sure most of his player base would want to see him become much less reliable.

I know this is an old post, but I agree with your reservations! I play malzahar _exactly_ for his reliability. We have _so_ many champs that are unreliable, yet powerful when they land. Guess what? League is _full_ of **mobile** bursters who exploit that sort of gameplay and {{champion:90}} exists as one of the _very few_ _reliable_ forces that can keep them in check.

I'd prefer a one trick to a random playing a champ he's inexperienced with, but fits on paper. One tricks are able to bend the rules of a "proper" team comp through sheer experience and developed creativity

: Prestige skins? And obtaining them?
It's supposed to be expensive or difficult to grind out. Prestige exists because Riot's got an aging playerbase (lots of season 1-3 ers ) with deeper pockets than the younger clientele and some of those players are willing to pay for exclusive skins. I'd personally prefer unique voice work to accompany $100 skins, but they wouldn't offer it "as is" if the demand wasn't there.
: I think Dreadnova would have fit well in the Odyssey universe.
: I've played MF a few times recently and she doesn't feel bad, tbh. She does what she's intended to do; be a bully in laning phase. You also might not see her much because she doesn't fit into every comp. If there isn't hard CC or anything, I often find that MF isn't a very good pick up; there's nothing to set up her ult for her.

Being "still human" doesn't inherently make her mental fortitude lesser than others on that list. We also don't know for a fact that the non-human champions on that list are incapable of fear. Sejuani's response to Volibear was more of a visceral reaction to his imposing figure than the result of fear born from thoughtful analysis of potentially losing her clan. In fact, Sej was happy she avoided pledging them to Voli in the first place.

I think it's because at any given time the 10 players in a given game are at a different level of tilt. The players who mentally give up at the first problem are probably tilting hard from previous games. I empathize with you though. I've had plenty of similar stories and i'm sure I'll get more of it in the near future.
